28 Best Things to Do in Barcelona

"If a digital arts center was going to pop up anywhere in Barcelona, you’d bet your tapas fund on the district of Poblenou—the Catalan capital’s East London-like ‘hood, where once crumbling factories spawn start-ups, art studios, and museums like the Museu Can Framis. From the outside, IDEAL’s boxy exterior shouts movie theatre. And it was—for 67 years. Then it became a movie set, then nothing at all, before a regeneration project in 2019 turned the lights back on. It’s now southern Europe’s first facility dedicated to producing and showcasing digital arts projects, such as holography and virtual reality. Instead of watching an image, you’re thrown right into the image—meaning popcorn-munching to fill the slow scenes is a thing of the past." - Gemma Askham

Absolutely fantastic. Extreme value for money. Jules Verne exhibition was out of this world. VR elements just added to the experience. So informative. The effects were phenomenal. One of my top attractions in Barcelona. Would not have missed this for the world. Be sure to book in advance. Awesome.

We went to the Jules Verne exhibition, it was more elaborate than we expected, the VR walking course at the end where you walk through scenes from Jules Verne books was especially fun. For 15 euros it was a good deal.

I always check out the IDEAL events. I've been to Monte, Gustav Klimt, and Tutankhamun exhibitions. They are amazing, and the way they use AI, light, and sound always surprises me. I love this place and highly recommend it. You will definitely have a good time there.

I really enjoyed the Jules Verne exhibition. VR experience was trully amazing, especially the second one! The lack of English everywhere cost a star. Luckily by combining Catalan and Spanish I managed to understand anything. The staff was friendly and not so friendly depending on the post they were at, kuddos for the girl at the VR 2 entrance, nice job as for the young man setting us up at the VR 1 section. Exiting the show was kind of lonesome, it would have been a nice moment for reviews and impressions to be gathered by the staff. Tickets personell was nice as well.

I visited the Jules Verne exhibition at IDEAL, and it was a fantastic experience! 🌟 The digital content was beautifully crafted 🎨 and designed with love ❤️, offering a great overview of Jules Verne’s incredible work. Highly recommend! 👍 The VR experience was my personal high light and worth the price!

This was so much better than what I expected. Saw the Salvador Dali exhibition. The interactive rooms were very good and the best part by far. There was one where everyone received a VR headset and got to walk around, another large room with a display across the walls and music. There were a couple of rooms more focused on being informative. Although all text was in Spanish, there was a QR code taking us to an English translation. The website could do with being more clear about the order. For 14 euros or so, I think this exhibition was definitely worth it in the end, spent about an hour here.

A must see, the 360° room is just spectacular, could hace stayed there all day. There is also a drawing room where you can show off your artistic side. The virtual reality trip is amazing, well worth every minute. Do not miss this exhibition.
