Idlewild Coffee

I just love how good their coffee is!! Hot or iced, the taste and the art has been solid and consistent every time I went. This one is tucked in the SXSW building near the capitol. I like the other location as well. Besides the coffee itself, I would come here for quiet time of reading as there are a lot of spaces in the lobby area and not that busy in the early morning. Highly recommend!!

First timers. We had the Brown sugar bourbon latte and #%*@ it was amazing! Perfectly balanced… wasn’t too sweet, nor bitter, or sour like other coffee spots I’ve tried. You can tell this place is high quality!

Nice coffee place in the SXSW center lobby. Some good options to choose from. I went there because Austinite Passport and it was good. There is lot of street parking available near by. Nice place to concentrate and also to hangout with friends. Will retun here again.

Love this place. Coffee and all coffee adjacent drinks are phenomenal. Staff is insanely cool ah (cheers Jarrett, Wade, Mary, & all). Vibes are immaculate & great for people with sensory issues. Music generally on point.

I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now and still have not found a better coffee shop! Best owners and espresso. Definitely worth checking out, they’ll make you feel right at home.

Thankful to have found this little coffee bar in the lobby of SxSW building. Just started working in this section of downtown and the coffee pickings are slim (and not very good). But then I saw a sign, and followed that coffee sign to Idlewild. I ordered the most basic thing on the menu “medium coffee w/ a splash of oat milk.” I know the coffee was great because when I got home from work, I bragged about how “I had a good cup of coffee, today.” The service was straightforward and warm, and the price was also fair. I look forward to trying more things here. I also heard the breakfast tacos are good.
