Ignazio’s offers delicious thin-crust pizza with stellar views of the Brooklyn Bridge in a cozy, cash-only spot ideal for a post-walk slice.
"Dumbo has an impressive number of pizzerias, but Ignazio’s is the only one with a water view. In a neighborhood named for its location under two bridges, that's got to mean something. The cash-only spot isn't talked about as much as Juliana’s or Grimaldi’s up the block, but it's a good option if there's a line at one of those, or if you're just looking for a slice to take on a walk through Brooklyn Bridge Park. The cheese slice here is more margherita than New York-style pizza, so bring a visitor here if you've already taken them to Joe’s. (If you're looking for New York-style pizza, though, try L&B’s Dumbo location.) Grab a slice, or sit at a table in the spacious dining room, and order a few pies and some sangria. photo credit: Willa Moore Food Rundown Cheese For $5 a slice, this margherita pizza is actually a good deal for the area, with stretchy fresh mozzarella and red sauce seasoned with lots of oregano and basil. Pepperoni The glistening pepperoni cups provide some welcome grease on the margherita slice. Sicilian There's a great crackly bottom on this thick, doughy slice, but the globs of mozzarella on top tend to slide off." - Willa Moore
