We enjoyed the blow glasses process and Chris handled all the difficult part. Thanks for allowing us to play in your studio. A good memory piece made with my son.

So much fun. We made an ornament and a paperweight. Chris was super friendly and obviously is a great artist. Thank you for the experience! I want to do classes now!

Google
Funky glass blowing studio in Chattanooga that makes a fun date night or family night activity. Make an appointment before you go as sometimes they get busy. You’ll be walked through the steps to make a Christmas ornament or a bowl…you choose the colors. The next day you’ll pick up your creation and you’ll have a treasure to remind you of the good time you had. Highly recommend.

Went for a quick birthday trip. Totally worth it! Doesn't take long, and they have tons of choices. Owner is amazing, skilled, and fun! The work we made was beautiful and we will be back!!

Google
This was AWESOME. Our little one had a blast creating her own Christmas ornament and said she wants to come back every year to make another. The color choices are fantastic and the staff is extremely friendly. The glassmith that assisted her was so kind and really heightened the entire experience for her. Highly recommend for the entire family! Just make sure you call ahead of time and make your appointment!

What a FUN family activity! Total time? 20 mins tops and DIRECTLY around the corner from the Hilton Inn downtown. My son and daughter both loved picking out the shape of the ornament and then the colors to go with it-- and they were SO proud of themselves! They have a lovely creation and keepsake that isn't junk swag Made in China, and can now look at glass art with a better appreciation for the skill and sweat that goes into it 🥰 Remember: always tip your glassblower! ✌🏻 Kids will go back 1 at a time and stand on a marker. They have to be able to follow instructions. There wasn't any dress code but I didn't put my daughter in a dress that morning and we all wore close-toed shoes. My son is Autistic, and we followed the same procedures as my daughter but I stood with him. He had to wear some eye protection (funny shaped glasses), it was HOT when we went up to have our turn rotating the glass in the furnace, and it is louder being right off the street and a large echo-y space. He was SO PROUD of himself, I'm so glad we did this activity!! It does take 24 hours to cool down, so schedule a pick-up accordingly OR they can mail the ornament/whatever to you. We literally swung through Chatanooga just to grab our ornaments on our way back west, after a vacation in GA. It was SUPER fast to get off the freeway, pull up, jump out, grab our bag, and get right back on the road-- faster than a rest stop visit at any rate! 😅

We enjoyed the experience very much. Chris was easy to get along with and a great mentor with a lot of talent. As a group of five people we selected different styles/colors of ornaments and paperweights to make, and it was amazing to see them be shaped from just a piece of molten glass. A nice warm place to be during the winter, with the heat of the furnace going!

Yelp
We had a really great time blow glass as a Christmas gift for my mom. The instructor was great about explaining exactly what she was doing and why. I was expecting it to be a little more hands on, but I do understand the need to limit guest control with certain things. When you arrive you get to choose what piece you're going to make, ornaments, paperweight or vase prices from $60-$85. Once you've selected your object and have paid you head out to the studio to choose your colors. You have the option of either two solid colors or one of the already mixed patterns. What you get to do as a participant- slowly turn the glass in the oven for about 10 seconds and blow into the glass while it's being turned, again about 10 seconds. Once that's done you'll step out of the enclosed area and watch the final steps to your piece. It's the placed into an oven and then cooled overnight. Pickup is available the next day.

Yelp
Chris was an exceptional host and made it fun for us blowing our own glass. Don't pass on this gem if you visit Chattanooga!

Yelp
Chris was a great artist and we had a lot of fun working with him to create our two pieces. They shipped them home to us and they arrived quickly and in great shape. Lots of fun.

Yelp
Our family stoped by on fall break and had a great time. Our girls had a blast assisting in forming and blowing their own glass projects. Super cool experience!

Yelp
The fire caught our eye on a 40 degree day! We walked in and my husband was enamored by the glass blowing process. The clerk was gracious enough to offer us free shipping. We will be visiting again for holiday gifts!

Yelp
We have been taking our kids to English class to do Christmas ornaments for years now. We have also used them in business for handblown glass awards. We hosted a client Christmas party there last night and it was a huge success. We had over 75 clients come through and they were able to make their own ornaments. The guys are great to work with and very hospitable. They are located on Broad Street blocks away from the river in downtown Chattanooga. The only negative you need to be prepared for his parking can be tight downtown sometimes. We will definitely go back and we will be hosting another client party there next year.

Yelp
So disappointed. On a visit to Chattanooga we found a piece of art glass on Saturday on the way to the aquarium we wanted for our collection. We like to bring home something to remember our trips. Not wanting to carry it around, we decided to pick it up on our way out of town on Monday. We walked down to studio around 11 am. The artists were blowing glass but the studio was closed. We asked if he would mind selling us the piece seeing as we were not from Chattanooga and would not be here on Friday when they reopened. The reply was he was too busy on a special project to stop and accommodate our purchase. I get that he was working and the studio was officially closed, but considering the struggle most small businesses are having in this pandemic, you would think they would be happy to pause for 10 minutes for a $200 purchase. Must be doing much better than most. Update; how screwed up are these folks! Even after having a bad experience, we called to order the piece we liked. The associate that answered the phone was very helpful, sent us several pictures to confirm our purchase and confirmed it was $300 on sale for 1/2 price, the same as we were told the day we were in the store. Then she put her "boss" on the phone. He said the sale price was only for items in the store, but we couldn't buy that one, he would need to make a commission piece and the price would be $300. "Sorry man, just can sell you the one in the store". Bye-bye.

Yelp
Really unique and cool experience. Even if you don't actually glow the glass, they still allow you to watch from the sides. They also have pre-made items for sale, such as glass pen holders or vases. Would be great as a gift for a loved one. ...and there was a fluffy dog to pet. $45 is a bit steep for a glass ornament, but it all depends on how much you value the experience.

Yelp
We had an excellent time blowing glass as a group. It was a fun thing to do, and the staff was both helpful, and fun. It's an interesting process, and Ignis makes it very approachable and entertaining. I would also like to mention, that they have a beautiful selection of blown glass art in their store, and it seems to be very fairly priced. If I get back to Chatt town, I'll make sure to stop in here.

Yelp
Glassblowing!!! The studio caught our eye the night before while out for dinner with the family. We were on a weekend vacation in Chattanooga, and looking for something to do the following day. We were unsure about glassblowing since we have a 6 year old daughter and a 20 month old son. No worries with this place!! The staff was amazing and we had a great time cutting up as our family blew our own glass ornaments! Even the 6 year old. (The guys said the toddler could do it, but due to an unfortunate meeting with the floor at our house, his busted up lips were just too sore). We each were able to create an ornament that captures our personalities perfectly, and these will soon be hanging in our kitchen window.

Yelp
Awesome watching this glass making tandem in action. Some of the most beautiful pieces in their store and very friendly staff and workers!

Yelp
Very cool experience for adults and children. My child really enjoyed it and it was a very memorable experience!

Yelp
My husband bought me a gift certificate. I got to use it this past Saturday, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Everyone was beyond nice and helpful. I'm super excited to get my ornament in the mail. I would highly recommend Ignis for a fun time creating something you can keep for life. They also have super fun glasses you wear while making your ornament.

Yelp
My Family and I went in while on vacation to Chattanooga, and we all had a great experience. The gentleman actually doing the glasswork was very personable and answered all questions with complete and utter professionalism (Even those posed by a very curious 10 year old in our party). They allow you to participate as much as possible, though the technical and dangerous handiwork he performs himself. All in all it was a great experience and definitely something I'd recommend for those visiting the area.

Yelp
My daughter really wanted to do this after seeing a flyer for it at the hotel. We happened to walk by it seeking food, so we stopped in. She was adamant that she wanted to do it, so we inquired. It's $40-45 per ornament. Not too bad, with the expectation that you actually get to make the ornament, but you don't! In fact, you WATCH as they mix the glass colors for you. Then you get to sit in front of a very hot fire, for all of ten seconds while the glass melts, then THEY do all the rolling, shaping, etc. You get to come back in for a whopping 30 seconds to blow it up, but they, again, push you out of the way to finish it up. $45 for a full 40 seconds of activity is NOT my idea of fun or good value. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool ornament, but I could have purchased it for $20 in any specialty boutique. Not worth the cost.

Yelp
Great experience. Two girlfriends and I went and each made an ornament. They help you along the way. Actually they do most of the work but you do blow into the glass yourself. You also twist the glass while it's in an oven. It is definitely warm from the ovens. They have different colors you can choose from and different textures. Definitely plan to do it again. They will mail the finished product if needed. You need to pick up your ornament the next day. It needs to cool.

Sharon H.

Yelp
Wish it was a little more hands-on but this place is awesome! Great informative time and and you get a cool ornament to remember it by!
