"This stylish restaurant in a historical vaulted room inside the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz showcases a concept that was devised by none other than celebrated chef Andreas Caminada: an elaborate, creative "fine dining sharing experience". In keeping with the name (ignivis a Romansh word meaning "nest"), the focus is on the well-being of guests and the pleasure of communal dining. First-rate ingredients are used to create a very special set menu, each course of which is made up of several small dishes – all designed for sharing. Shored up by a competent sommelier, the charming service team is second to none. The outstanding wine list features top-notch wines, often regional, that are available by the glass. Last but not least, the impressive Candy Store awaits you." - Michelin Inspector

We have a truly unforgettable evening at the original IGNIV in Bad Ragaz. The food was bold, playful, and beautifully executed with confidence and precision. We especially loved the starting bites and appetisers — full of personality — with the quail as an unexpected highlight. The non-alcoholic pairing was exceptional, with such variety and depth that I didn’t miss wine at all. Service was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even more special. And of course, the candy store at the end is a delight. A truly inspiring dining experience — Chef Andreas Caminada’s vision brought to life by head chef Joël Ellenberger and his talented team. Highly recommend.

They say sharing is caring in many cases yes it is. With 6 at a table and not in a romantic entanglement 😑 if is a little complicated and cumbersome. The idea is nice just breaking dishes that are tough to share like fish filets in a sauce are tough to share..... Good looking dishes arrive see the pictures. And look like a massacre on your plate when shared. Shame about the hard work in the kitchen. Would be great when the staff does the sharing plating and a more information about the ingredients, origin, thoughts behind the dish etc. Would be welcome. When dining with your partner this can be nice. In corona times not ideal... To say the least 😔. The flavor and textures of different dishes was tasty and good. Two star Michelin? Not to sure about that. Staff was friendly Glasware was nice (Zalto). We had to use the same glasses for the different wines most of the evening 😑 The dining room is lovely. With a beautiful fireplace lit in winter. Yes you do smell the wood sometimes. Nice setting. Service was attentive and friendly however little things need tuning like you would expect in a 2 and 3 star setting. Really liked the petit fours and candy shop setting. Some good skill was shown there. Fabulous. Setting 4/5 Foodconcept 2/5 Taste and texture 4/5 Presentation 4/5 before it arrives on your plate 😭 Service 3/5 Winelist 3/5 Glassware 4/5 Candyshop petit fours 5/5 Overall 3/5

Sharing concept tasting menu, lunch took little over 2 and a half hours. Great experience, the staff is lovely and the food met our expectations considering the two awarded stars.

Google
Amazing food and excellent service! The combination of flavors as well as the very detailed presentation is 100% fulfilled! The menu price is very reasonable for the quality and service you get. I would highly recommend it. Maybe a small criticism: I specifically said that the dinner (which had to be replaced by a lunch the day after because of the new Covid-19 regulations) would be part of the celebration for my birthday but there was no attention in this regard.

The concept of fine-dining sharing-experience was a good start in this new year. The Menu was greatly composed with seasonal and fresh products. The whole staff friendly provides us a lasting gourmet adventure with simple and highly elegant prepared dishes at the same time. Thanks to Andreas, Silvio, Stefano and the whole Team!

Google
The food is excellent but the sharing concept doesn’t work. The dishes aren’t easily divided and proportioned for splitting which results in a crowded table with a mess of shared cutlery and plates. This unnecessary complexity doesn’t do the quality of the food justice. The art element was a distraction rather than an amplifier to the culinary experience.

Yelp
In Zurich, Switzerland, the Michelin-starred IGNIV restaurant presents a contemporary interpretation of Swiss gastronomy. Established in the industry, the restaurant is renowned for its inventive preparations that feature seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients. The historical IGNIV building is situated in the city center of Zurich. Elegance adorns the dining room through crystal chandeliers, marble columns, and vaulted ceilings. Additionally, the restaurant features a cozy bar where patrons can enjoy a drink before or after dinner. In addition to providing a private dining room for special occasions, IGNIV organizes weddings and events with catering. The IGNIV menu fluctuates with the seasons, but signature items include the following: Jerusalem artichoke scallops accompanied by truffle vinaigrette Breast of roasted duck accompanied by foie gras and black truffle Black truffle fillet of Wagyu beef accompanied by potato gratin Soufflé of chocolate and vanilla ice cream IGNIV provides a tasting menu highlighting the chef's most recent gastronomic innovations in addition to the main course. A selection of wines from the restaurant's extensive wine list--more than 600 varieties from around the globe--is paired with each tasting menu item. Recently, I had the privilege of dining at IGNIV, and the experience was beyond my wildest expectations. An elegant and refined ambiance accompanied the impeccable service and delectable fare. The grilled scallops, accompanied by Jerusalem artichokes and truffle vinaigrette, formed the basis of my entree. The exquisitely cooked and incredibly tender scallops complemented the Jerusalem artichokes and truffle vinaigrette. I ordered the roasted duck breast with black truffle and foie gras for my main course. The duck breast was exquisitely prepared, and adding foie gras and black truffle added an extravagance. I indulged in a chocolate soufflé accompanied by vanilla ice cream as a dessert. The chocolate was flavorful and wealthy, while the soufflé was delicate and airy. IGNIV boasts an impressively extensive wine list. With their vast knowledge, the sommeliers can assist you in selecting the ideal wine to complement your meal. The pairing was suitable for a glass of Swiss Chasselas accompanying my meal. At IGNIV, the service is impeccable. The attentive and cordial staff goes above and beyond to ensure that each diner has an unforgettable experience. I was especially impressed by the sommelier's expertise in recommending the ideal wine to complement my meal and his comprehensive knowledge of the wine list. I had an outstanding dining experience at IGNIV on the whole. An elegant and refined ambiance accompanied the impeccable service and delectable fare. IGNIV is highly recommended to those searching for an absolutely unforgettable dining experience.
