Iguana On Park

I've heard great things about this place and it still exceeded my expectations. My bf and I came for happy hour and sat at the bar. Hunter took amazing care of us. The bar was full but he didn't miss a beat with great recommendations and making our Margheritas quickly. I liked the mixed of cuisine on the menu, they had traditional Mexican, Peruvian and other dishes. The steak taco and chicharron with guacamole were my favorites, but every single dish had incredible flavor and ingredients. I can't wait to come back and try more!

Iguana on Park is a great place for a date night or a family night. The fresh guacamole made at your table is amazing. The food and drinks are really good. There are some unique combinations but they work.

Went on Saturday for the first time…. Turned around and went back on Sunday for brunch! What a great experience I had. The food was amazing, affordable and the vibe was very relaxed and welcoming. We had a time! Bartenders super friendly, the Chef explained the brunch item I wanted and he didn’t miss…. Everything was excellent 💛

The atmosphere and server Casey S was lovely. The watermelon bliss cocktail was unpleasant for our taste buds. The crispy pork belly taco was extremely hard, which seemed over cooked. Everything else was great, especially the Sangria Naranja. I would probably swing back by for cocktails and appetizers, in the future.

Loved the table side guacamole experience. The margarita was fabulous. And the tacos were not just your average run of the meal taco. They had great flavor profiles and were delicious. Definitely a new favorite place to eat.

Iguana on Park did not disappoint. The food and drinks were delicious. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We had a great time having dinner after work. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the dishes came out so pretty. My new favorite place for cocktails, great food and conversation.

Tried this place for the first time. We will definitely go back. The presentation of the food was excellent. Everything tasted good. The waitress was very personable and had a good knowledge of the food. She recommended the guava cheesecake. It was different to your usual cheesecake. It melted in your mouth. Wonderful!!!

The only reason why I didn't give a 5/5 is because the steak taco could have been a little more tender and the seasonings on the pork belly appetizer and fish tacos could have had more flavor. But the atmosphere, service, drinks, and the steak bowl was a 5/5. Also, our friends says the dirty south taco was a 5/5. Definitely will recommend.

Down and Dirty: fast and quality service with delicious food and cocktails. Price was decent for the quality and quantity of the food. I will go back! Service: I made reservations through open table which made it easy and quick. Upon arriving, I was sat immediately and got the outside table requested. Our server (Lynx) came and took our drink and app order within minutes. She gave great food recommendations and was quick to bring out our order. She checked on us frequently but not too frequently. She was a great server! Ambiance: central location with nice ambiance. Outside seating with covered patio and fire pit. Inside seating with table or booth options. Location has plenty of seating options for all types and sizes of parties. Food: we ordered guacamole to start with and was fresh and delicious! We also ordered cocktails and they too were fresh and delicious. For lunch we ordered the cuban eggs Benedict (only available on weekends) and two tacos (junkyard and breakfast). The Benedict was AMAZING! So much flavor and plenty of food. I couldn't finish it but was delicious till the last bite! Tacos are tasty and great flavor. Pricing: with drink (cocktail) food and app you'll average about $40 a pop (+tip) but everything is fresh, delicious and filling so it's totally worth it.

Came in on a Wednesday evening, just in time before happy hour ended at 6pm. I got a $7 spicy margarita and then quickly ordered a mango margarita for later because ...why not. :) We started off with chips, guac, queso and salsa. Omg..these chips! I love the seasoning on them. We basically ate a whole basket. I got the pork belly and watermelon taco. For $6.50 a little disappointed in the amount of pork belly. I literally had one good size piece and a baby size bite of another. My friend ordered the same taco and her was definitely fuller. This taco wasn't full at all, more like a half tortilla of watermelon. I also had the junkyard taco. Now this was a nice full taco, very different but totally had my mouth dancing. I wish we could have sat outside because the patio looked awesome but it was raining. Our waitress was great!

Great tacos! All four of us had a bunch of different tacos and they were all delicious. The scallop one was the most tasty and if you're hungry go for the Loaded taco, it has everything in it except the kitchen sink. The prices are very reasonable, nice vibe to the place. Our server was on top of her game. They have a great drink menu, a decent beer selection. It was a nice dining experience. I would say though if you're coming here for a typical Mexican restaurant they have very limited choices of entrees. It's more Peruvian than Mexican. We will definitely be back though.

What a beautiful decorated restaurant. We had reservations and the host seemed very scrambled and disheveled. Once we were sat our server took several minutes before greeting our party or taking drink orders. So a little slow to start. The service did come full circle and we had an amazing dinner. I love the upscale take on traditional dishes. All the flavors melded together nicely for an amazing experience. I never do dessert but who can pass up a Nutella bread pudding?!? Loved it!! They have brunch so I see a second visit in my near future.

The food never disappoints! The service was great and the whole vibe/decor if the restaurant is spot in! Love the tableside quac and meat and potato taco!

I like Iguana on Park, but it's just overpriced for what it is. The dishes are presented really nicely, but always leave me wanting more in terms of flavor. I had the Caribbean shrimp bowl and my husband had the Peruvian steak bowl and both were just...fine. Not bad, but just not memorable either. I do enjoy their drinks, especially the prickly pear margarita. Overall, it's a nice atmosphere with outdoor seating and good service, but it's expensive and the food is a bit mediocre. The drinks are really good though.

We visited iguana on park on a Friday evening. We had a reservation, which I don't think we particularly needed. I started with a margarita which was excellent. We also ordered a queso fundido which was just alright. It was very meat heavy, and honestly was still more similar to a queso blanco dip. It wasn't what we expected, which would've been the firmer queso fundido with a good pull that needs a knife to cut sometimes and gets stiff when cold. For tacos, I got one steak and one pork belly. I was really skeptical of the pork belly with the rum n coke glaze and how that would match the watermelon, but it was excellent! The steak was a little more traditional, but also so good. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender. The seasoning was spot on. I'm not local to Jacksonville, but I would definitely return to Iguana on Park. I'd love to see more creative flavors like that pork taco on their menu.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch on the patio. We were literally the only ones out there but our server was nice and attentive. We started with the queso fundido with chorizo, plantains, and the taijin wings which were hidden in the cocktail menu. As we waited for our food, we enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsas. The chips were crispy and perfectly salted. I ordered the junkyard taco and the steak tacos. The junkyard taco was full of random ingredients but it worked. Grilled pulled chicken, queso, potatoes, and cabbage were packed into a flour tortilla. I got the flaming iguana sauce on the side and I'm glad I did as it was too spicy for me. Although there was a slight miscommunication and instead of a steak taco, I got the Baja fish taco. After clarifying it with our service, the error was fixed and the steak taco was very good. The grilled onions added a little sweetness and the steak was tender. My dining partner enjoyed the sweet potato waffle and pork belly. We got the potato chip crusted tenders for the little one. All in all, the food was excellent. I'm not sure why I haven't been to this place before but I look forward to another visit to try more tacos!

Iguana's food is very, very good -- the tacos are in my top 3 on this side of town, behind Taqueria Cinco and Tienda el Castillo, and would win for the "non traditional" category. The steak, pork belly (who would think watermelon would work as a combo, but it does), junkyard, and breakfast are all winners. They also do a mean brunch on the weekends. Tons of drink options, which tend toward the sweet but still pack a punch. The ambiance is great outside -- there's a huge wraparound patio for outside dining. Inside, it tends toward the cavernous and loud, but it's fine. The service is very friendly. They have an online ordering platform for takeout which is efficient, but seems to go down right when we want to use it at times. The last time I ordered, the order went through, but when I arrived to pick up the food the manager advised that they were out of one of the items. He offered to let me order anything else as a substitute for no additional charge, and got it out to me quick -- I was impressed.

We love this restaurant because it's great for our daughter who has autism. I make reservations and ask for specific seating arrangements for her and they always make it happen. The staff is friendly and the food is great. If you love margaritas I recommend getting the iguana on park.

I only came over waiting for my guest at orsay and I'm glad I made the stop. Ginger beer margarita 4/5 stars - refreshing and flavorful. Pork chicharron 4/5 stars- nice little twist to the trending tik tok pork belly n guacamole. Ambiance 5/5- nice and cozy for a date night. Service 4/5- very polite, welcoming!

My friend and I were looking for a nice spot for dinner before catching the movies. Craving magaritas and something tasty, we settled on the famous Iguana on Park. Going in, the interior had a beautiful contrast of colors and fresh paintings on the wall. That day, we ordered 3x frozen magaritas (regular, mango, and pear), 1 queso, 1 table side guacamole, 1x blackened shrimp taco, 1x farm to table taco, and 1x sopa de pollo. Moving on with my review, despite all the hype online, we found our experience to be just fair. For what was good, the magritas were perfectly balanced from a sweet to tequila ratio standpoint. The tortilla chips were fresh and seasoned, which was a plus (this comes with tasty red & green table salsa too)! And, we found the purple magarita (pear) to have the best flavor. Also, service was impeccable, despite everything that went down. Now, going back to the main points, the queso we started off with tasted like it was made with a roux as it had a floury taste and underwhelming hints of cheese. The table side guac had actually been prepared before we sat down, which we found disappointing. To include, guac did possess fresh green creamy avocados, but otherwise, it was really lacking on lime, cilantro, or seasoning for this to be called a guacamole. As for the tacos, the ingredients in each taco tasted fresh (especially the veggies) ; however, the grill that the tortillas were cooked on gave off this metallic flavor, which made eating the tacos highly unpleasant. Lastly, the sopa de pollo had been ok. We enjoyed the potatoes and corn garnished on top, but the chicken possessed a funky aftertaste, too. And, the soup base itself was underwhelming. This wasn't an easy decision, but our rating for Iguana for now is a 2.5/5.

Okay, let's get this out of the way right away: Is this place "authentic" or "traditional"? No. But it's also not pretending to be. And it's delicious! I recently stopped by Iguana for brunch on a trip to Jacksonville, and I'm really glad we did! This place is great for large groups and the staff was very attentive to us. We sat outside near the back. We were surprised to find that they have yard games out there! Some in our group played a few rounds while waiting for our food. I would definitely recommend trying to sit outside if you can. Our meal was very yummy! We ordered quite a few dishes, so I'll go through a few of them: -Table-side guac - definitely worth it. They make the guac, of course, right beside your table and you can customize it how you'd like. Just get this, okay? -Chilaquiles - this one was unexpected. The dish comes "deconstructed" so it's basically like a nachos plate? It had all of the flavors of chilaquiles, but I've definitely never seen it served this way. There was also not much chorizo in it -Cuban egg Benedict - very good, but note that it is not served on an English muffin. It comes on Cuban bread -Tacos - the steak taco was pretty dry. Don't recommend. The Dirty South taco was amazing. DEFINITELY recommend! The Farm to Table taco was excellent! Fried plantains- a side dish, but these were very well prepared. Recommend for sure! Overall, we had a great time at Iguana and I would recommend it, especially if you're looking for a place to bring a family or large group.

We've tried several times to give this place a chance bc we love the one out at the beach. But no matter the day or time, we've received horrible customer service. The hostess was rude not only to me but the individual in front of me. Sadly, we won't return, even though it's very close to our home.

AMBIANCE: Good vibe and very nice. Lots of different seating to fit all styles - lots of bar seating, indoor, and outdoor seating. FOOD / DRINK: Food is so tasty! I love love love their steak taco. I could eat that every single night if I could. Be careful of the red chiles as they are spicy - I like it but others may want to proceed with caution. Queso fundido is good - comes out piping hot and is a nice appetizer to tide one over until the amazing tacos come out. I would prefer the chorizo to be broken up a bit more in the dish, but was still good. My Blood Orange Margarita was good, too. Had some good flavors and love me anything blood orange. Chips and salsa are nice as well, which are complimentary. Free is good and even better when it tastes great!

This was my first time at iguana and let me say the entree I tried blew me away. As soon as you walk in the restaurant is decorated very nicely, so this is perfect for a date night inside or casual lunch on the patio. We did order drinks that were alright.. my blood orange margarita was more like a regular orange margarita. But the food!! I am obsessed with this pork and waffle entree. The pork belly was like a thick, sweet bacon and matched with a sweet potato waffle... OMG! Sweet plantains we're good on the side and I wasn't tooo crazy about the dirty south taco. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Watery tasting margaritas. 6$ dry chicken taco. Fish taco smelled weird so I only took one bite. Lame service. Didn't think it was great the first time I went there. Won't be back.

Good casual dining option in Avondale area (next to Orsay @ Park & Dancy). Often busy but adequate parking nearby. If you can't eat cilantro be forewarned it's in nearly every dish and not just as a garnish. The Dirty South taco and the Farm to Table specials are good non-meat options. Good soup, too. The chips are delicious & served with both tomatillo and traditional salsa. I wish the Margaritas were better. They have a full bar, so other options are available.

I am terrible with remembering the names of dishes so I will not be much help there, BUT, I can tell you that everyone I've ever eaten their with has enjoyed their food and I've loved everything I've ordered. Crispy Pork Belly TacoBlueberry Compote

I feel it's time to update my review for this place based on several additional visits. And yes- that's several, because this place has become one of my new neighborhood go-to's! The junkyard taco is worth the price of admission. It's seriously delicious. And they have great chips and salsa, and very good que so. And a shoutout for the fact that they have many gluten-free options and delicious corn tortillas. I've also had several tasty cocktails, although these can be hit or miss and I think depends on which bartender is working. But still very good and inventive. There's always plenty of seating which makes this a great option for impromptu meals, drinks or snacks. And I appreciate the several different seating options- dining room, indoor and outdoor bar (with heaters!), and outdoor tables with fire pits. Parking has always been straight forward and the waitstaff is very nice. All in all this place has grown into a neighborhood staple for me with some perennial favorites, and I will certainly be returning many times more.

I certainly will like to come back. Let's talk pros and cons! Waitress was amazing! Very nice and informative and was on top of our table. The vibe is very lively and moderate to loud. This is a hang out with family and friends spot. Cons- * I know my fellow yelpers were highlighting the empanadas. A big no for me. Not a fan. Weird taste for me. * Cilantro rice is uneventful. Bland. Pros- * sweet plantains, very good * tacos- were on point, Mahi, steak and chicken. * the half chicken is juicy and flavorful. This dish is a little pricey for the size of this chicken. A half size sounds a lot. It's not! I'll be back. I would like to try out some of their other menu options . I love the fact this place is a fusion blend of Peruvian and Mexican.

The waitress was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. They are happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions you may have about the menu. The food is simply outstanding, the Rotisserie chicken was juicy, tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked and infused with all kinds of delicious seasonings. The elote was delicious and bursting with flavor; very creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy flavor that is simply irresistible. Each dish is expertly prepared, with flavors that are perfectly balanced and a presentation that is nothing short of stunning. I didn't get to try the tacos to be as descriptive but my boyfriend said they were good, normally we get corn tacos but forgot to ask so they do come as flour tortillas; see if they can do corn. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves great food, excellent service, and an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Tex-Mex food is pretty easy and straight forward. And Ceviche is also not too difficult. But this place, although it very well designed and has a nice ambiance, is way overpriced. I ordered a two "top shelf" Margarita's and they charged me $28 each. Well I have never paid so much for a glass full of ice! Four sips and they were empty. Also, food portions were very small and overpriced. I would prefer Nopalera any day of the week. I believe in value for the money, so may not go back here any time soon. Food was good, drink was good, price was not.

Guac was great, caipirinhas on point, and the steak taco was Olivia (our waitress) was also so lovely!

I love the food and drinks at Iguana! They have a large range of fresh tasting cocktails, not just your typical margaritas. The tacos have thoughtful ingredients and I especially like the scallop taco with pepitas. The inside is modern with some Frieda Kahlo mixed in. Only four stars for me because service has been slow the last few visits.

My wife and I decided to try this place on a trip to Jacksonville. It's in the Avondale area and it's relatively new. On this trip we had a few tacos and some dessert. I had a chicken taco and a seared scallop taco. My wife had the steak taco. They were all good. We also had the chorizo and potato empanadas. All of the dishes were good and the service was too.

How about that guac, yo!? Finally had an opportunity for a date night with my wife without our little one. I was looking for a good spot and I'm really happy that Iguana on Park caught my eye. We came here on a Saturday evening and we're seated immediately. This place looks like it can get busy so reservations are not a bad idea. We ordered the guacamole and chips. They were amazing! I loved how Rory, the Guac Smith, came and prepared it in front of us. For drinks we ordered the watermelon bliss margarita and the Barry's Old Fashioned. Both drinks were tasty but my old fashioned was pretty amazing for being a tequila based old fashioned. We then ordered some mixto ceviche which was wonderful! Not quite as amazing as Peru, but real nice none the less. My wife ordered Baja fish tacos which were really tasty albeit a tad spicy. All in all, this spot is great. If their other cocktails are as good as the old fashioned then it is a good place to try.

Scallop tacos are out of this world!!! Unique and delicious! The service was great too. Definitely will be back.

I came in at 7:00 and the place was almost empty. I don't know why, because the food was delicious. I sat at the bar and the bar staff weee very friendly, made good conversation, and shared the recipes with me. The Iguana Margarita is delicious and the tacos were perfect. Favorite was the pork belly taco, but the shrimp and carne asada were also good. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

This is not dads taco stand, across the board. None of those hard shell Old El Paso Gringo tacos here! Two of these well priced tacos and a basket of the best tortilla chips o have ever had and I was done. Flour tortilla loaded with some of the freshest ingredients and flavors and they are not the skimpy street tacos. Serious protein load along with what the combo is. Mary was are server and she was on it from the time we walked in, till checkout. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating and and high top tables near the bar. Will be back many times to taste the rest of their tacos.

My family and I have come here before and enjoy the food and service that is offered at Iguana on Park. This is a different vibe than the original location at the beaches. The two times we have been here, it has not been crowded due to colder weather. We have been able to walk in without reservations and sit outside at the tables placed there. The servers are friendly and consistent in service, checking on us repeatedly, making sure each step of our meal was updated, and making sure our glasses were filled. On this recent visit, we decided to try the brunch menu. My husband ordered the chicken and steak tacos, and I ordered the pork belly and sweet potato waffles. We also ordered a table side guacamole. The guacamole is more than enough for the two of us, so we share it with our toddler son, who enjoys the chips and guacamole. The pork belly and waffles is amazing and more than enough for one person. It comes with crispy pork belly, sweet and hot waffles, homemade whipped cream, and berries like raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. I ate the majority of the dish and there was still enough that could have been shared with another person. The food is always delicious and made to order, and the atmosphere outside in the sunshine with a view of the street is relaxing!

Great and friendly customer service. We were a party of 5 1/5. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at arrival. Parking was ample. Every order was delicious, the right temp, and prompt. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Really good restaurant! We just had an amazing experience here. We made reservations for a party of 9 on a Friday at 6:45 pm. We showed up, walked right in and got seated right away. The front host was very kind and welcoming and inviting. The atmosphere of the restaurant was active, noise level was medium, so we can talk to each other without yelling. Our waitress, Ryanne V, was so helpful to us. She was kind, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful. She explained the menu to us, our options, some suggestions and some tips on what to other and how. We asked for chips and guacamole for one of the starters, and they bring out the @TheGuacSmith and he brings his cart and makes fresh guacamole for you with the ingredients that you want. Awesome concept, never seen this before. Our food was delicious, it hit the spot lol. Chips and salsa, stake tacos, fish tacos, quesadillas, shrimp tacos, grilled stuffed avocado, and some other plates that I can't remember. It was all very high quality! Excellent plates. Parking can be a little challenging and will take some patience. I would suggest to be there with plenty of time in advance so you can find parking. Definitely I place I would love to come back again before flying back to California! A must try restaurant.

Amazing dinner tonight. We got the table side guac, my mom got the rotisserie chicken ... but ... the best item of the night ... the Junkyard taco. YUM!!!

Let's be honest--I'm only here for the guacamole. I don't know if I love it more because I'm seeing it being made, but I think it's one of the best restaurant guacamoles I've eaten. We got ours halfway between smooth and chunky and ate the entire bowl. The chips are also well seasoned - not sure with what but the chips alone are packed with flavor. Both salsas were the perfect accompaniment but my fave was the salsa verde - delicious and refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised by the steak taco!! Yummmm. I honestly wish I ordered two of those bad boys. It had a nice kick and flavor-- and I loved the texture and crunch of the pepitas. Parking anywhere in Avondale could sometimes be challenging, but there is a lot right off of the patio on Dancy Street. Also that patio is gorgeous. Well lit and great ambiance--and they have gas fire pits.

Came here for a rehearsal dinner in October and had the private party room. The servers were on top of getting us whatever we needed (and in a timely manner considering there was 75 of us). The cocktails were great, a nice variety without being too overwhelming to choose. And THE FOOD...holy cow. I could not even make it through one taco of my entree because I stuffed myself on the appetizers. I'm not from the area, so take this with a grain of salt but it's located in an area with not a lot around. If you are looking to go somewhere before or after for drinks, there's not much to choose from unless you're willing to travel a bit. Jacksonville is pretty spread out so this isn't really located near where "tourists" would stay, which might be a good thing for locals!!

Excellent touch of Peruvian food mixed with Mexican. I went for the Lomo Saltado and it was very good. As appetizer I tried their guacamole; awesome. Portions are generous and service is very good. The parking is limited; therefore come early. Enjoy!

We arrived just early enough to take advantage of happy hour 3-6 daily. $6 swap shop margaritas discounted from $11. The standard was good but the prickly pear was excellent. We started with queso and table side quacamole - both very good. I opted for a pork belly taco and Baja fish taco - both amply filled - both very tasty and distinct with their flavors. Great execution all around and kudos to our server Casey S. who was personable and checked on us frequently without overdoing it. The place was full by 7:00 but I didn't see anyone waiting when we left. This first visit left a solid impression so count me as a fan.

Wow, delish! Our first time here. Love the vibe and laid back atmosphere. It's Mexican food, so we already knew we would enjoy it. We ordered the swap shop and patio lizard cocktails. While both were delicious, patio lizard would be our first choice next time. We ordered the queso fundido as an appetizer and I ordered the shrimp ceviche. My husband ordered the Mexican bahn mi sandwich. He said the sandwich was fresh and delicious, the chicken had a smoky/bbq grilled flavor and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The side salad that it was served with was amazing. Not sure what the dressing was but it had a kick and was very flavorful. The ceviche was light and refreshing. Service was great. We were seated, greeted, and served very quickly and all by smiling faces. We will definitely go back to try other things. Note: The bathroom sink has motion sensors for the faucets (this is all very normal) BUT I didn't realize the sink will blow air loudly at you afterwards to dry your hands as well. Just giving a heads up so you don't jump and squeal like I did. I just turned to grab a paper towel on the side and looked back at the mirror to fix my hair when the air started blasting and surprised me. Lol

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night. We were able to walk in and get a table for three right away around 7pm. They offer a variety of cocktails and the ones I had tasted crisp and fresh. There was also an offering of local beers and wine available. I ordered some tacos and I like that you can order them individually to try out different ones. Both the steak taco and seared scallop taco were delicious and I would order them again. On top of the great drinks and tacos, the salsa verde served with chips was the best!

Service was great, I always appreciate a server who's interactive and friendly with my three year old because she likes to talk Haha! Margs we're great too I got a skinny with muddled jalapeños and tajin and it was delish! We just ordered apps and the table side guac was good, the queso was not what I was used to being from texas, it tasted kinda burned, it was in a fundido type skillets but it was Chile con queso. Atmosphere was inviting definitely would go back!

What a fun spot! We happen upon this place while going to another restaurant- we had some extra time before our reservations- so we stopped here for some drinks and apps. Their drinks are amazing!! we sat at the outdoor bar I loved my drink and my husband's drink, it was delicious. They immediately give you complimentary chips and salsa which are well seasoned. The service is stellar! we didn't eat our meal here but we did get the shrimp ceviche which was delicious. it came in a coconut sauce and it tasted delicious with the complimentary chips. I think will be back here again to taste the food for dinner, I'll probably bring my parents back as well as they love Mexican food. It's in a great location with street parking. There's tons of places around but this is a spacious restaurant/bar with great space inside and outside. The prices are a little bit more expensive than you would expect but not bad at all. I would definitely come here with friends, family and it's a great place to bring a date. It's also great for groups!

Everything was terrible. Cocktails were not arriving for 30 min.but it's nothing in comparing with quality of the food. They try to sell queso and guacamole to everyone. Queso is water with flower, served with sticky bread. Guacamole is huge plate, not possible to finish. Luckily we saw faces of people, who got it, and had a chance to cancel. Fish tako was rotten, smelled as hell, and we both had diarrhea after a small bite. Soup was extremely salty. It's not iguana, it's guano

Love this place. The food and the drinks are always amazing. The chips and salsa are the best. We never fail to order the empanada. The service is always great, but this last time it was amazing. Ashley was an excellent server. She not only took care of us, but another rather large party and never missed a beat. If anyone from iguana on Park reads this, please recognize her.

I felt like I'm on an episode of Vanderpump Rules because every staff member at this restaurant was extremely attractive. This was my first time in Jacksonville, FL and a friend recommended this place for brunch. For starters, the restaurant has somehow managed to come up with a cozy yet elegant environment. The inside is decorated beautifully and the outside is such a vibe. The menu is extensive and kinda unique. I found myself deciding between many options but decided to stay on the safe side and go with the avocado toast. Not to worry, the fiancé got the Anticucho Steak Desayno and I'm so glad I got to try it. It was mouth watering delicious. The avocado toast was delicious and unique. I've never had one with shrimp for starters and the creamy cilantro sauce makes everything go together perfectly. We were a group of 4 and we ordered chips and guacamole for the table and our fineeeee waiter made the whole thing in front of us. It was exceptional! One of the best I've had in a long time. We also had the guava cheesecake for dessert and I'm so glad I got so uncomfortably stuffed after it. It was worth every bite. Till next time!

Hit and miss with the food...ranges from really good to eh so not really consistent. Service is inconsistent too...staff likes to chat it up a lot between tasks. Ambiance is pretty good.

Checked out new place bc friend is a bartender. They have a decent happy hour drink menu from 3pm-6pm. Free chips and salsa with 2 different salsas. They have table side guacamole that looked amazing! They have a vegan ceviche and 2 vegan taco options. The ceviche was pretty good but really about $1 worth of tofu for $14 is a tiny bit pricey. I had 2 tacos, both were pretty good. I wish they came with some sides tho. $10 for 2 tacos with no sides it's a bit much. The tacos were good but not amazing for $10. The steak taco flavor was very good and tender but big chunk of my steak was grissle. Overall it's a fun place, service was great. Portions are small and prices are a bit high for what you get. Will go back tho but not in regular rotation

Came here while doing laundry last week. I saw they had shrimp tacos so I wanted to try it. We sat in a booth and ordered drinks before food. I tried the strawberry jello shot. But I didn't taste the alcohol in it. I think the consistency was thicker than a jello shot that isn't chilled, thus making it slightly harder to consume. I ordered a shrimp taco, then later ordered a chicken taco to go. Their restroom was really neat. It had quotes from Frida Kahlo. The service was slightly slow, even though there weren't many patrons and I saw a TON of staff everywhere. My daughter had a kids meal and my friend had the meat and potato taco. He had a coke and she drank a sprite. You definitely need to eat two tacos if you order. I underestimated what the server meant when she said they were the size of the plate, so I thought it would be like a burrito.

My friends and I decided to go here after work since we heard it just opened. Plus we love tacos so why the heck not, right? Parking is pretty limited, but my friends and I got pretty lucky. We parked not too far away from the resturant. The vibe that this restaurant gave me was a hipster/chill one. Very causal clothing and a place where you would probably want to go to with friends after a long day of work. When we were seated, the waiter came up to us right away to ask what we wanted to drink. Then moments later we got served some chips and dip. I like the spicy one (although it wasn't that spicy to me). For appetizers, we ordered a queso. It came with four soft tortillas (I believe that's what they are). I have to say, one of the best queso I've ever had. It was freaking delicious! As for tacos, I ordered the pork belly and blackened shrimp. The pork belly was good. The blackened shrimp, I wasn't really a fan of. It was ok, but not great. I felt like the flavors were lacking and it wasn't there; but some hot sauce helped. As for drinks, the bloody orange was bomb!! I definitely recommend you guys to get this drink of you are ever here. Overall, great atmosphere and good food.
