Delicious! My food was cook just right except the French toast. The French toast should had been dipped in a milk, vanilla extract, sugar, scrambled eggs & spice batter. It was browned golden & was dipped in just scrambled eggs on one side then placed on the grill. This wasn't French toast to me so asked Sam the waiter for some cinnamon to put on it. Sam gave me cinnamon sugar. He provided great service in being attentive to our requests for our food & drink orders, condiments. Mr. Charles the manager & team members were professional, friendly & efficient to patrons. The restrooms were well maintained. I noticed that general manager was on site conversing with Mr. Charles.

I haven’t been to IHOP in a long time, but I came to the location in Oxon Hill, Maryland . Food was delicious. Great atmosphere and service. We were seated immediately. The Server: Yessica was very courteous and polite. I ordered the sirloin tips & eggs with sautéed onions and mushrooms, served with two eggs and two buttermilk pancakes. I will definitely be back.

An unexpected diamond for sure as I haven't visited this establishment in a long period of time, I found that the service was absolutely superb. 5 Stars plus from the Associate that took our order to the food production. Bottom line, it was GOOD 👍! The menu provided so many choices 😋 that it was hard to decide. Nevertheless, once my selection was placed, I simply waited for the servings. I was not disappointed. I suggest that you give them a try, just bring an empty stomach. Then prepare to enjoy a fabulous meal.

The service was extremely slow. It was two of us and one other person in the restaurant. For starters my appetizer sampler order was placed 5-10mins after it was placed I was made aware that they were out of onion rings. They substituted my onions rings for some heavily seasoned fries. They never made me aware they were out of tenders but instead just gave me 2 chicken patties. Then I ordered sirloin tips which 5-10mins after I ordered was informed they didn’t have those. Once I told them to just cancel that they found some sirloin tips but I had to wait extra time for them. Once I received them they were extremely overcooked and rubbery. My hasbrowns were burnt on the bottom. I had to go into the kitchen to ask the staff for utensils and syrup.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY SERVICE! They absolutely suck! Seriously I waited over and hour for a called in ordered, I ever helped translate for other Hispanics waiting for their food nearly 2 hours. I want To say that the morning/afternoon shifts sucks! They sit around and talk in a group and don’t care about customer service. Never again will I come here. I told management what I thought and the crew as well. They definitely ate losing customers and if they don’t switch up so this location will close. Having one cook is unacceptable:

All I have to say is first of all who would serve that to customers and second of all is the pictures speak for themselves. So my husband and I went for a late 3 am food stop which we soon regreted. The waitress was very pleasent and nice but the food was absolutely appalling. I got the split decision breakfast and my husband got a burger and onion rings which took about 30 mins to get to us which was ridiculous considering making eggs and bacon takes 5 mins. As soon as our food came is when disappointment hit my eggs were scrambled instead of sunny, though the waitress did tell me she can get my plate made again but I refused because I knew the same level of low grade food was gonna come again. I then noticed the burnt to crisp peices of bacon, ham and shriveled up sausage I took a few bites because of the protein but it was bad as well as the underdone hashbrowns falling apart. The burger he didn't even touch because the egg was overcooked, beef and burnt bacon. Even the pancakes and french toast was bland, flimsy and soggy if they can't even get that right I don't know how they're still open. Anyways to close this long fiasco up within the first 5 mins of receiving the food we paid, took a few nibbles to not feel guilty for wasting $30 and got the hell out.

Ordered online at 10:37AM 6/10/25 for 2 breakfast menu.. Got reply, food will be ready at 10:55. Went to store @ 10:50 and told the staff I was there to pick up order. He asked for my name and said not ready yet,and I said I know. I was just early. Asked for my order at 11:02, same staff said not ready yet. In the meantime, people were coming in to be sat and placing orders to take out and were able to get their orders at reasonable time. 11:15am ,asked about my order, still not ready. 11:22am asked again and the same staff said it's not him, it's the cook. I asked to speak with the manager but I was told the manager was busy with the customers. I told him I was a customer, too. Manager came after a long while and asked" what's your problem?" I told him about my order that it has taken a long time for them to process it. He did not say anything, just turned back inside. 11:39am they handed me a bag. No words, no apologies..

Food was sad. There were four of us and none of us finished our food. The French toast was dry, chicken fried steak was oily, gravy was chunky and an off-putting gray color. Waitress was annoyed we were not ready to order our food with our drinks and then sat at a table with someone for good awhile. It was just not a pleasant experience.

Not sure why all the bad reviews but our visit was as good as it could be. We walked in and immediately were seated. Our waitress came over within 5 minutes, took our drink order, and quickly came back to give us our drinks and take our order. No misses at all, food came out as ordered, hot and was delicious. The coffee was made perfect! Ambiance is that of an I-Hop, diverse, older people flock because of the amazing deals for 55 and older folks (sweet). Dress is always casual! I enjoyed and would be back!

Unfortunately, this was a pick up order that was incorrect. We ordered a Spicy Poblano Omelette and a Breakfast Platter with 2 eggs over medium, 4 strips of pork bacon and 2 pork sausages. However, when we arrived home from picking up our order at the restaurant, we discovered they gave us scrambled eggs and 2 strips of turkey bacon. The bacon was rubbery, so we threw it away. We do not plan to return. If you go, be sure to check your order before leaving the restaurant.

Typical IHOP...Food was ok. As per usual I get chicken fried steak and it was ok. Food is just ok...So never expect better. Service is normal diner chain...Not doting but not Neglected. Ambiance is typical IHOP and I remember it being darker than most. Ok everything however I would rather go elsewhere for a breakfast meal.

I like being greeted by nice people... I love to see people being kind to children. The staff at the Oxon Hill IHOP gave me both on a random weekday The food is IHOP... it will be the same at every IHOP (and I love that for us!!!) as a gluten free human, I'm excited to be able to have pancakes too when IHOP is the breakfast spot choice... don't forget to ask for shelled or cracked eggs - the omelette mix has pancake batter in it!!! The location could be a lil cleaner. Kids pick up all the germs so I would also love to see more wipe downs during the icky months but all in all... I'd order again...and again...just probably not done in... and pray IHOP never gets canceled

Stopped by after Sunday service. There as a small wait (which was expected). Our server Robert was awesome! Very attentive, helpful and courteous. He was really busy but made sure we were good. I ordered two chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs w/ cheddar cheese. So good. Sometimes you just need a good ole pancake or two. Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mamas out there!

Came here for the Red, White, and Blue pancakes. What I got was a surprise! It was red, white, and blue pancakes with a chocolate chip pancake in the middle! What a treat! The service was great even though it was packed! The restaurant was clean and in order with nothing sticking out. Thank you for the pancakes!

Went to this location on 10/25, service was awesome, from being seated to our waitress to the food. The food was amazing, the cooks did a fantastic job. I haven't been to this location in years, even though I live 5 minutes from it. Found out this set of cooks work morning to 3:00 in the afternoon, I will definitely be back during those hours, the food was very good.

I live in the area so I order from this IHOP often. But I am deeply disappointed by the lack of care given to food prepation. On Monday April 3, 2023 I ordered a short stack of pancakes for in store pick up. When I arrived home and opened my order, I noticed the last (third pancake) at the bottom of the stack had black marks in it. I have no clue if that was burned scraps but I was deeply disturbed that my pancakes had black marks in it and were purposely placed at the bottom of the stack. Then on Tuesday April 4, 2023 I ordered another short stack of buttermilk pancakes for in store pick up. When I arrived home, this stack of pancakes were perfect but I was only given 1 packet of syrup instead of 2. My pancakes tasted so dry and I was really not happy that I wasn't given two packets for 3 pancakes. This IHOP location is truly subpar and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of care for my food and the quality of the preparation and in store pick up experience. I don't recommend doing in store pick ups at this location.

Food: I had the steak omelet which your side choices of 3 pancakes or fruit basket etc. my omelet came out decent as far as the taste quality goes. From first glance, the omelet has been downsized from what it used to be. Service: To be blunt, it was poor. Hence the reason for my overall rating. From when I first walked in, there was no one insight for a good min as there was already two groups previously waiting and not greeted. Eventuslly, Two workers decided to finally approach the counter and started seating us all. As we were being sat one other group was also sat and somehow received service before us. Food took to what I felt a little longer than usual. Normally a server would come to your table to periodically check on you if you need anything etc. nope. Not today. Finished my food and was looking for my server or any server and no one insight. Few mins passed so I decide to move my completed plates to the end of the table to show "I'm ready for my check." Server comes with my check and says " we only have one cook, and I had to help out." Ok, that's why my service wasn't great. I still tipped fairly even with the bad service as some of these workers rely on tips. I will say this, good mannerism is a great way to increase your tip outcome. Some server was just not polite and seemed as if he only cared for a check and that's it. Luckily, he wasn't my server or I wouldn't have tipped period. Thanksfully, I have never not tipped someone but if he was my server, he would have been my first. Ambiance: if you've been to one IHOP, then there's nothing that screams, " oh this is nice etc."

WOW DELICIOUS I have to say this hit the spot this morning after a long flight from Los Angeles! These guys are open for indoor dinning they have seats spaced out to respect the Covid-19 seating requirements in between customers & clean up immediately after a customer leaves & WOW THEY ARE FAST TO DELIVER TOU FOOD OUT! 5 star service I have to say they are all wearing mask & gloves & respectfully delivering everything in containers like syrup & salt & pepper individually to make sure there are no accidental Covid-19 spreads between customers! 5 stars on the Covid-19 cleanliness 5 stars on the service

Kudos to the managers. They know how to do customer service. They are courteous, kind and hatd-working. They put forth the effort to ensure customers at the Oxon Hill IHOP have a great experience. Other IHOP should visit and observe. Shout out to Lisa and Mike. Above and beyond is their norm.

The food came out too fast. My pancakes were hard. That's ridiculous. The place was full so it's not like there isn't turnover and there is no reason to premade your food Will NOT be returning Also, there are still signs on the door stating masks are required, it is the law, yet NO ONE was wearing them but two employers. Just take down the stupid sign!

Our food was well prepared and the order was accurate. I ordered the world famous pancake combo with sausage links and the 2x2x2 breakfast with bacon.

I should have known better, but thought I would try them again. Today was by far the worst experience. Tables were dirty, servers were talking to one another, some were even tending to their kids while customers were watching and waiting to be served. After almost 15 minutes of waiting I asked for a manager, when she approached her whole demeanor said she was unbothered. So we decided to leave, when walking out one of the servers who was socializing stopped us and said wait what happened???? I said it's cool we're taking our money elsewhere.

My experience was absolutely terrible from the beginning, I had a short wait which I didn't mind. But once I was sat at my table I was not greeted by a staff member for over 20 mins. The server was very apologetic once finally getting to us and brining our drinks over. After our order were placed my girlfriend's food came out about 20-25 mins later, and I was told my food would be out shortly. About another 20 minutes go by and the server continued to reassure me my food would be out shortly. Once my food came my burger was brought to me without fries and I requested the manager. Lisa who was quite rude and short with her responses to me. She told me she would take the burger off the check for me and take it off of the table as well. I told her that wasn't a good solution as I had spent over 50mins and I was hungry. She then told me all she could do was a light discount on the burger and I told her that if that's all she could do then fine. (I felt I deserved a free burger at this point). She disagreed. She then brought my fries out to me finally with the check. But failed to tell me she completely removed the burger off the check for me before I told her to just take it because the quality was nasty and the cheese was unmelted on my fried egg. There was no way my burger was cooked at the same time as my girlfriend's food and this was our first meal of the day. I felt the customer service was extremely poor on the managers behalf and that I was basically forced to go hungry do to bad service. She needs to be retrained in problem resolution and attitude. I worked In the service industry for 6+ years and that service was extremely sub par. Beginner at best.

Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday with family. The food was great and service was too. I appreciate the rules requiring a mask to enter, even when vaccinated, and only wish that I had been more prepared or that I had been offered one instead of having to go back to the car and find one. Of course we immediately took them off when our drinks were served but I appreciate every effort made to protect against COVID like separate containers for syrup and ketchup.

I went to this IHOP (Oxon Hill) earlier today to pick up an Uber order. I walk in, this is what I'm greeted with. Not once did she even look up from her phone. I give the other employee a pass because she was busy, on the phone (conducting IHOP business, not PERSONAL business, lol. I had to ask another employee, who was walking up from the kitchen area, to see if the order that I was there for was ready. C'mon, little girl, do...your...job

I went to IHOP today with my 3 year old so we could enjoy a meal together. We ordered and our food came out and I noticed that the funfetti looking pancakes that I ordered for my son barely had whipped cream on the top like the picture, but I let it go because he was dozing off anyway. That's not the bad part... the bad part is the fact that we kept getting harassed by gnats! They kept flying around us and when I killed one I thought ok that's it. But no there was another. And then I killed that . There was another . I finally asked the waitress, who was wonderful by the way, if she could move us to a different table because we were near a trashcan and I thought that was the issue. She informed me that the gnats are everywhere and that they are waiting for an exterminator. I tried to fight through but when they started landing on my food, I just gave up I asked for the manager and she came out and gave me half off of my food. I still think it's pretty gross that they know they have a pest issue, and they remain open.

If you want a good laugh...go to this IHOP on Oxen Hill Rd.lol. Now I must admit...anyone with a pulse can see what type of service you are about to get within 2 seconds of walking through the door. But alas, I thought I would give folks a chance and not be judgmental. Big mistake.HA Ive been to IHOPs across the country and have a pretty high tolerance for bad service. But I absolutely can not accept mediocrity. How you have more employees than customers and STILL provide slow service? That takes a unique set of skills to be that bad at your job. Kudos. I was going to stick it out, but was not hopeful that anyone in that restaurant could cook anything worth my time or money lol I feel bad for the surrounding community members that may or may not have the means to go elsewhere. If you can...just go down the way to the IHOP in Virginia (3425-A Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305). The aunties from the Motherland provide PHENOMENAL service!

They don't like Hispanic people and half of their staff is Hispanic. They yell at people in incredibly stupid Spanglish that first of all makes no sense and is incredibly disrespectful. I received the wrong order and tried to send back my food, said what I ordered and the response was "I know", horrible establishment. If your server is Mike request a new one immediately.

Worst IHOP I have ever been to, I stay away from this location because their service is never good. Came in late Sunday evening because it is one of the few options open at the time. We walk in and there is nobody at the counter for the to go orders and nobody to seat you. Waited a few minutes a man came out the back with someone's to go order and then he sat us. We sat down, I used the restroom and came back and asked if do we have a waiter yet and was told nope. We waited watching to see if someone would notice at least glance our way. Another group came in after us and I watched their table too to see when their waiter came. About 15 minutes went by and the table who was set after us had a waiter come. I go out to eat enough to know dif waiters have dif tables but again the 2 other waiters in there at the time did not even glance our way. So we got up and left. The man who sat us and one of the waiters were both just standing around as we left. And again there was nobody at the front when we walked out.

This location has some of the worst service I ever had. The only good thing is that our food didn't take long to come out. When we walked in it was a girl sitting down and she just watched us stand at the front so we sat ourselves. Off the bat the ambiance was not inviting at all. Once we sat down the same girl gave us our sticky menus. Then the server came over stood very far away to take our order. We said we wanted an appetizer while we ordered our drinks. He came back with our drinks which by the way the sprite was flat and didn't put the appetizer in but proceeded to take our food orders. So now our appetizer came out the same time as our main course. Main course was still wrong even though we were the only ones in restaurant. Service was very dry almost as if we were an inconvenience coming to eat. Really don't see me and my family coming to this ihop again. Still tipped the server because I know people rely on tips but it wasn't what it would have been if the server was more attentive. It's really sad to be honest. People only come here because it's convenient but never again.

I completely forgot this was open! Today, I went here a little after lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the front staff was. We were greeted promptly and seated shortly after. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive even though she seemed busy. The wait for our food was fairly short and the quality of food was nice. When we walked out, everyone thanked us and/or told us to have a great day. I don't think I've been to an IHOP before with this level of customer service. I was so shocked, I just had to Yelp it! Please, please, please, keep this up IHOP if you ever see this!!!!

12/2/22 Went here today @ 9am for a steak omelette & took it home to enjoy it , only ate a few bites because of how unsatisfying it tasted & a few hours later my stomach started bubbling. & before you know it I'm throwing up Ihop breakfast food . Gave the manager my story and was trying to see if I could be refunded. And they stop answering the phone , so I had to pull up to direct the situation a little more . The manager ms.Lisa is the worst manager at that location, they be rushing there food to customers & that's what probably caused my illness. They are trifling, staff is always slow on feet . I wouldn't recommend taking out or dining-in . They will leave you so unpleased . I wouldn't waste time or take the gamble . Save your self from the dispearity from this IHOP location.

It's a mid morning, rainy Sunday. From the parking lot outside, I expected a long wait time, however, I was mistaken. We had five in our party and it took maybe 10 minutes at the most, to be seated. Our server immediately got our drink order prepared and to our table. She was very personable, friendly and patient. I was glad to see that she wrote everything down because of the amount of people we had. I know some servers have excellent memories but I feel more comfortable knowing it was written down which gives less room for mistakes. Our meal came out quickly, cooked to order and tasted great. So kudos to the chef also. In addition, our server checked in on us periodically. Not too much and not to less, but a perfect balance. She was great especially since it got really crowded the minute we sat down. Our timing was great and her service was even better.

Ordered via postmates. There were so many errors with our order. The food arrived cold, we received one set of utensils for three orders, a total of three packs of syrup and we all ordered pancakes (6 pancakes total, so how is one packet of syrup even enough? We should've received 2 packs each) . For my order, I ordered scrambled eggs hard, but received an over easy fried egg. I also ordered bacon but instead received two chunks of ham. How hard is it to read the order and fill it? Oh yeah, we tried calling postmates, only to be hung up on or put on hold. Definitely not a way to conduct business.

The busses, Joshua, was the only good part of the experience here. My server took 15 minutes to take our order once we were seated in a restaurant with two other tables of people. Another couple actually left after being seated because the server didn't come to their table. This should e clued me to NOT order my drink based on it getting free refills. I would've got a water if I knew I'd pay $3 for a few ounces of Diet Pepsi and never see my server again. Once she took our order, we only saw her when she brought our food. I had to go to the front counter to pay (without seeing a bill) and be offered to-go boxes. She even charged me for a kids apple juice when I asked for a kids cup of water with a small splash of apple juice in it. I was too annoyed at that point and just wanted to go home, otherwise I would've asked for a refund on both drinks. I still tipped her 18%, although she did literally the minimum of a server and not an ounce of effort more.

This place is kind of tragic. Yet again, my group was hangry, so we were trying to find the nearest spot to grab brunch at peak brunch hours. So here's a great laugh, we were seated as a group of 7 but only given 1 menu. It took 7 looks of disbelief and 8 minutes later to wave down someone to give us more menus. It was busy, but why in the world would you leave 1 menu at a large group while another hostess is leading another large group with the appropriate amount of menus? LOL. Anyways, it took another 15 minutes to get waters in front of us, and I know this is rude to be timing, but I was hangry and kind of amazed at how bad the service could be in a land where brunch isn't a big deal. The wait to get food in front of us was just as mindblowing though, but it was expected at that point. I got a basic breakfast- something that would be difficult to mess up. It was simply 2 over-medium eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 4 burnt whole-wheat toast halves with strawberry jelly, & hash browns. The hash browns weren't as good as they are in Hampton Roads, so I was kind of sad. The plate itself was super oily from eggs & bacon, so I figured that's what caused my serious stomach ache on our way down. My friends ordered corned beef hash and each got noticeably different amounts with their meals, lol. I guess a plus is that this place has scrapple as a side, which is not a thing in Hampton Roads. We all ended up nauseous at some point, so that's why it has such little stars. Our waitress was okay but the "speed" of the establishment was not. They were soo short-staffed on a big hangover day. I would rather not come back here and grab Bojangles breakfast instead. I'm sure this is better when they're not ridiculously busy.

The worst ihop in the DMV....waited 10 minutes just to order, and then another 40 minutes for my food! While waiting the waitress was literally screaming and complaining about how she wasn't waiting on another table. When I received my food and got home it was literally the worst food I've had in my life. EVERYTHING was burnt. SMH.

The food is good. The service depends on the staffs. I'd understand and I can tell that some people are new and some aren't. The waiter/waitresses that I've had in the past were all kind and honestly Most of them just get there to see how customers are doing everything once in a while which is a good thing but when it's not really pact or busy and when some customers needs something from them they lack paying attention and this is mainly throughout the evening.

Good classic breakfast omelette. Also not sure why folks are getting down on the service, as Gilda was great and checked on us often. Not busy on a Friday morning, good and fast breakfast.

After an intense boxing work out I decided I needed a lot of carbs to refuel and decided to stop by IHOP. It was pretty packed because it was a Saturday morning so I placed my order to go. The wait was probably 10 minutes if that and I had the create your own pancake special. The food was good and hot by the time I got home. Also great customer service. And this may be a bit particular but the menus were clean so I appreciated that.

We were very impressed with the food service BUT after waiting in line for about 10mins to put our name on the list, a Spanish waitresses came from inside the restaurant and greeted another Spanish who DID NOT EVEN PUT THEIR NAME ON THE LIST and seated them when I explained to the person what happened she started shouting apologizes to us sarcastically and every time we and others customers tried to say what she did was not right she got louder.NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL and as visitors from NYC NOT IMPRESSED

Shea took our order after being seated at 8:55pm I know I checked a text and at 9:38pm we left because she finally took our order and never brought our drinks well I didn't wNt to have to give you a shitty tip it wasn't worth my time and the manager Kevin us useless I don't know if he was cooking or sitting in an office he came out two time what a waste of space !!so yeah I guess I'll have an hot dog at this point

Just in the area and really wanted IHOP. Service was great. Food was good. Tried the strawberry cheesecake pancakes for the first time and they were delicious but taste like their regular pancakes only difference was the strawberry and whip topping.

Came here with the fam on a Saturday night. It wasn't busy at all....so I don't understand why service was super slow. Over 10 mins for drinks, food took a long time, food came at seperate times, and the server acted like Houdini bc he kept disappearing. Food was good though.
