Yelp
Came here yesterday for our annual holiday party at HMCC. We were in a private room adjacent to the main dining area. The room was clean, spacious with beautiful table settings. Apps: Charcuterie w/ duck pate & fresh jams Salad: micro greens w/ fresh buratta honeycomb and granola Entree: Asian Surf & Turf w/Udon noodles Dessert:Gingerbread muffin w/ fresh figs, poached pears & fresh vanilla whipped cream Food was good, beef was a little over for my liking. Loved that the dessert was not super sweet. My Earl Gray Tea was awesome. Best bite was definitely the Charcuterie. Service was efficient. If you want a sit down meal while you are in the med center, then give them a shot. They are located in the commons. You have to take the elevators up to get there.

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem of the medical center. It is attached to MD Anderson and is very convenient from any of the hospital systems in that area. I believe they have shifted their business model to be majority private events- which I can highly recommend for business dinners or special occasions. The staff is super professional and will work with you and your companies needs. I really enjoy their food and they will validate parking the parking garage for 2 hours. The private rooms also have some great views of the med center. I love the way they cook and prepare a salmon filet. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
We went during Houston Restaurant weeks. We literally had the whole menu! If you do it family style you get to try a little bit of everything and possibly take some food home. I've been ti this spot several times, since I work nearby, but it was other restaurants. This became III I want to say in 2022. They offer a lunch buffet some days during the week for $25. This is on the to do list. Food was great and Service was excellent. This was not my first time here and will not be my last. This place is very nice and quite. It almost feels like you are sitting in someone's formal dining room.

Yelp
Great attentive staff and easy to get a table at 5pm Went after work for some quick bites and a small meal. The food was fresh and crispy - the fries were great! I wouldn't recommend the duck croquettes because they were mostly bread haha definitely not much duck at all. The half chicken was also pretty good with a balsamic glaze. The only thing was it kind of reminded me of my hello fresh meals so it wasn't anything special. I wouldn't be upset to go back but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so

Yelp
Visited for lunch, just before the start of happy hour. Arrival at this time must be unique because everyone seemed unsettled and made a point to say I almost missed lunch. Unfortunately, the service was pitiful and left so much to be desired. The server/bartender sat my menu down without a greeting. Poured a glass of water and returned a few minutes later and asked if I was ready. I asked if he could tell me a little more about the fish and he asked me what did I want to know beyond what is written on the menu. I mean - geesh. Also since we were ten minutes until happy hour, I told him I would wait to take advantage of it. For some reason, that too seemed to irritate him. I selected the pan seared snapper as my entree. Let me just say - the fish was cooked perfectly. It was quite possibly one of the very best pieces of fish I have experienced. Bravo. So delicious! I also ordered the truffle chips with blue cheese dip. I wish I could tell you how those tasted, but they never arrived! I checked on them after I received my entree, but once I wrapped up my entree and cocktail, decided to just cancel them - very strange. The server was also MIA most of the time. The food and cocktail were both very good. Unfortunately the service ruined the experience for me. I won't say I won't return, but there are so many restaurants in Houston with good food. To have to deal with that is absurd- and she be dependent on the time you visit.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance. A group of 10 went today for administrative professionals day. I found a big piece of green plastic in my pea hummus that was in our appetizer. The waiter just said to give it to him so he could show the chef. I expected the chef or manager to apologize or give us free appetizers or something. No one said anything. A nice restaurant like this should have reacted. We also all wanted this watermelon mocktail pictured here. The waitress told us they ran out. Why could they not make more and why did they run out. They had our reservation ahead of time. When we wanted dessert, we all wanted the cheesecake. The waitress then tells us they are all out. WHY?! It was only 12:30 pm. Why would you not be ready. This is the second time I have gone there and you are sold out of the dessert. I go to restaurants all the time. This is the only restaurant I go to that runs out of things. Why you would not have enough, or could make more is beyond me. And no apology or anything for me finding that big piece of plastic in my pea hummus. I could have choked. I had to spit it out.

Yelp
Came by for a graduation lunch, had a buffet spread including breads, salads, salmon, steak, and mini desserts. Everything was high quality, could tell they paid attention to every detail. Had great views of the med center too!

Yelp
This review pertains only to their in-house banquet service. It may not reflect service at the individual table, which I have not yet tried. I've been to probably 100 banquets in hotels and restaurants in large Texas cities in the last 37 years. I'm almost always satisfied with the food and the service, which made III By Wolfgang Puck as glaring exception. The food was okay by banquet standards, but the servers were clearly overwhelmed by the demand. The event was supposed to begin at 6:00 PM with a wine/beer reception, followed by dinner and a guest speaker at 6:30. When I came in a bit before 6, unopened bottles of wine were on a sideboard in the room, but there was nobody to take tickets or open the wine until about 6:20. This delayed the rest of the meeting, but it was only the beginning of the tardiness. When servers brought out the salads, somehow they managed to simply skip several people at my table. The diners they skipped were people of color, so that looked bad. The speaker had already begun as the salads dribbled out, so that was a bit disruptive. The main course also came out unevenly, so the food grew cold before everyone at the table was served. Servers had to be flagged down several times before bringing the missing dishes. After asking if any attendee had dietary requirements, and several people requested vegetarian, the servers apparently forgot and had to be reminded, which delayed the table getting served another 15 minutes. To add insult to injury, the vegetarians were punished with a bowl of pasta and a thin coating of plain tomato sauce. I'm hoping that this experience was a fluke, and maybe they just had a lot of staff no-shows. I'll update the review the next time I attend a meeting there.

Yelp
Went to Happy Hour and the ambiance was great, the food good and the drinks tasty. The bar tender did an excellent job on the drinks.

Yelp
Superior service and excellent food. We went for a lunch meeting and it was the perfect place for it. The chairs are comfortable and I swear my water glass was ALWAYS full. We enjoyed the Houston Restaurant Week menu and it certainly did not disappoint. If you work in the med center treat yourself to this beautiful restaurant.

Yelp
Mary is a delight to work with planning reservations. she is so professional and courteous, and remembers our faculty when they come in. Exceptional service! The food is always great, and service exceptional. Many thanks, Lisa G.-MDA Genetics

Yelp
We went over for happy hour and to celebrate with our department. From the hostess in the front, the catering manager and our service. Everything was perfect! I'll definitely be back for date night. Fries were delicious!

Yelp
We were huge fans of the restaurant when it was Travesio. As a family using the TMC we are always seeking a decent meal at the end of a long day in the hospital. I started with the: Heirloom Tomato Salad $17.00 Burrata, Compressed Watermelon, Peach, Basil Oil It was very good just needed some extra balsamic glaze. For my entree I had a pasta dish but it was a tad bit different than described on the menu. The dish was pretty good but the sauce which was of a mustard origin was a tad bit watery. The pasta was excellent and it is something I would consider again mainly because the other menu items are not exciting me. The design of this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the large "winged" chairs are super comfortable. I could probably fall asleep in them. My biggest complaint/concern is that we went back a few nights later and I reordered the exact same meal with the addition of adding shrimp to the pasta and it all tasted completely different. The shrimp were not edible. They were very mushy and didn't seem fresh. Surprising to me and not consumed.

Yelp
Wonderful food, and the space is gorgeous- it's the best place to be if you're headed to the Medical Center. We tried a little bit of everything- including a trip to the lunch buffet- it was all outstanding. My favorite was their version of chicken tortilla soup- unlike any I've ever had before. Also- the fish dishes were outstanding. It was early in the day so we had mocktails- every drink on the menu sounded scrumptious- but I went with a ginger iced tea -I can't remember the name. The actual cocktail and wine lists were incredible but we didn't partake this time. Service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back for dinner- excellent date night spot! Also- easy parking in the building- take garage elevator up to restaurant. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food was amazing better than mgm Vegas. Our waiter Daniel was really really good and so is the rest of the staff manager had Selena show us the event rooms which are really nice

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here but every time I have, it's been a nice experience. Beautiful view, waitstaff is always nice, and the location is special.

Yelp
Wolfgang Puck should immediately remove his name from the restaurant. The food is okay (not great), just okay. Waiter ruined the night for us. He didn't want to be there and was so glum. From start to finish he never made us feel welcomed or appreciated. Two of our wine choices were out of stock. Gems lettuce salad actually had no Gem Lettuce. It was Romaine. This restaurant needs a major overhaul. There were very few customers the night we dined and with the terrible service we received and the so so food this place won't be around long. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Yelp
The food was just eh and the service wasn't that great. My steak was on the fatty side and the potatoes had a vinegar after taste. The best part of our meal was the overpriced hummus appetizer.

Yelp
I was super excited to know that Wolfgang Puck is opening in the medical center and walking distance from where I work. Right across from Methodist hospital. Came in for lunch today with reservation and was seated right away. Food was good but it took them 45min to serve us lunch . The excuse was short staffs but for a restaurant at this level it shouldn't be using that excuse. Our server was not very nice. He disappeared right after the order was taken. After waiting for 30min, I had to get his attention to ask about the food. Finally the manager came and served and he was very nice. He completely understood that is unacceptable from their end that we had to wait that long and apologized. He also offered to comp our meal which is very nice of him. My friend and I had the burger which is excellent and the pasta a la bolognese which is also very good. Maybe management should look into the expedite of the food. Lunch time is limited for most of us who unfortunately has to go back to work. Hopefully next time we don't have to encounter the same situation.

Yelp
They are no longer open to the public - events only.. Such a bummer - there are so few good restaurants in this area.

Yelp
What a find. Only their second night serving dinner and we happen to stumble upon this place. This is a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and everything in it that we ordered was fantastic we had the schnitzel the short ribs and a steak plus dessert and espresso coffee. Waitstaff was fantastic food was past fantastic and the chef came out and spoke to us while we were the only three people in the restaurant the whole time we were there, I don't think we will be so lucky in the future it'll be packed Try it I don't think you can go wrong. Good luck to this restaurant it'll be packed.

Yelp
The best hidden gem in Houston! As a native Houstonian hats off to Chef Puck for opening a restaurant with 5 star service and excellent food without the extra hoopla that has been happening here lately in Houston. A beautiful dining experience!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The food is decent We waited 1.5 hours for our lunch to come. Definitely not a place for work lunch. Will not be coming back here again. Not worth the wait. And the restaurant is freezing.

Yelp
Chef Eric Klein created an amazing experience for my Hospital Team at late notice. Everyone was impressed with the quality of food, hospitality and service excellence. There is something to be said about a team that can take a concerning situation that happened the first dining experience and get us back the very next day to a wonderful experience. We were so impressed with the entire team that I gave a $100% tip on a $300 tab. I will be recommending to all my colleagues. The experience was worth it! Dawn Thompson VP of Operations BSLMC

Yelp
Wow..the best service I could ever receive. I sat at the bar, & Mason the bartender, gave the best service ever. Ask for her.

Yelp
They had gluten free bread but waiter was not knowledgeable to advise us. Service was not even average. Food was ok only. What a disappointment.

B C.

Yelp
Food selection is good for the value. I'm unsure if the fish is farm raised, because it tastes like it is, and I can't speak for the other dishes that include meat. I got the salmon over arugula and I believe the salmon was cooked over a cedar plank..The servers were very nice, and the ambiance has a casual/ semi formal feel. Parking is accessible , however, the bathrooms seem unnaturally far away.

Yelp
One expects great food from the great Wolfgang Puck ... and my party of 11 was not disappointed. From the genuine welcome and prompt seating to the tender gulf seafood risotto I enjoyed and the dessert-like raspberry lemon drop to the offering of individual checks on a Friday night, III Wolfgang Puck at the Medical Center does everything right. Take your date here, spend your anniversary here, propose here ... but fine here. You won't regret it!

Michael D.

Yelp
The meal arrived 1hour and 15 minutes after we sat. We ordered quickly. Not sure what was going on other then the lack of courteousness. Chicken overly salty and steak was lacking for a $52. Just poorly done all in all. Not a friendly staff who couldn't muster acknowledgment or even a goodbye. Just blank stares.

Caryl C.

Yelp
Restaurant empty and deplorable service!! Food a big disappointment - absolutely horrible
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great and service was exceptional. I typically take clients here for lunch. This location has a garage so plenty of parking. They also have a very nice bar for happy hour. I would reserve your spot it gets busy during lunch and they may be having a TMC event and may not be available for lunch on certain times. Call ahead or reserve to make sure.

Yelp
Great Food, great cocktails, within walking distance to the medical center. I got the NY steak, raspberry lemon drop cocktail, and some truffle fries for the table. All amazing. Fresh bread for the table. Great wait staff. Very nice interior. I would say a must try in Houston.
google avatar

Yelp
My expectations were beyond exceeded! I mentioned it was our anniversary and the hostess seated us at the perfect table with a beautiful view. The kitchen also sent us a dessert with a message wishing us a happy anniversary in white chocolate. The food was delicious! Originally went for Houston Restaurant Week, but ended up ordering off the regular menu because of the options. The braised short rib was our favorite, but we also ordered the bolognese. Great mocktail menu as well. Even though it can be intimidating to get here since it's in the Medical District, they have validated parking in the basement and signs guiding you along the way. I'll definitely be coming back here again. The staff really treated us like royalty!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was amazing but the service was even better. We felt like we were the only ones there.

Elaine S.

Yelp
The mushrooms in the risotto so flavorful, cooked perfectly. Surprising portions of high quality, complex flavors and attention to detail. I was doubtful about a location smack in the middle of the Medical Center, but nice ambience and interesting view. Service knowledgeable and kind.

Yelp
Went here for the pris fixe Valentine's Day dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was perfect. The meal started with an amuse bouche of fantastically fresh oysters on the half shell and a glass of Prosecco (Mionetto). The Prosecco was crisp with zero aftertaste. It may be my new go to sparkling. And it was free. I had a glass of Rosé and the hubby got the Sidecar. My Rosé was good but had a weird bouquet and his sidecar was excellent. The bartenders here know how to make a drink. Everything on the menu looked great and between the two of us we had the apple salad (the blue cheese and candied pecans really made the dish), fried quail, grilled shrimp salad (mango purée was soooo good), perfectly season tenderloin, and a miso glazed sea bass that i though was slightly over but it was prefectly crisped and so yummy, who cared?? The carrot-ginger reduction with is was really special and I was asked by the hubby to learn how to do that. He doesn't even love carrots. I guess I will see if Wolfgang has any openings for an intern. The dessert was no afterthought here either. It was a kaiserschmarren which is a very light egg custard with raisins over a fruit compote of strawberries. OMG. A fantastic finish to a wonderful meal. Not too sweet like most desserts. We will definitely be back for the full menu. One more note...the chairs are comfortable. Not the usual, make the guests uncomfortable so we can turn their table quickly when their butt falls asleep kind. Service was good and efficient (Jorge was our waiter I believe). The only downside was I tried to add on a chocolate gift that is apparently made by their chocolatier in California and they said they ran out, even though I ordered it ahead of time. It's in a weird spot inside the med center but there is garage parking and it's easy to find. Nice date place and wonderful food. Check it out.

Yelp
If you want to eat your server's blood and flesh eat here. After an ok meal, my husband and I had dessert. The waitress shaved chocolate over the dessert and then said something and quickly walked away. When she came back she had a bright blue bandage on her thumb. I asked her if she cut herself and she said yes when she was shaving the chocolate over our dessert. This was after we had eaten part of the dessert! I immediately asked to speak to the manager. The waitress never apologized. The manager said it was an unfortunate accident and reluctantly apologized. After eating a mediocre meal and dealing with this, I strongly suggest you never go there! Nobody acted like it was any big deal that it happened. Extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Went for mother's day food was cold served buffet style no service was provided it was a shameful execution of a special day they should refund everyone who wasted their time and their mothers time! The place was great but its a shame they performed so poorly

Patti G.

Yelp
The food was delicious with superb service. Ambience was comfortable elegance. We loved it!

Jay D.

Yelp
Excellent food and spot on service. The atmosphere is classy as one would expect from a Wolfgang Puck facility. Pear Burrata salad was a great start ,and my wife and I both had great meals. Well worth a visit when in Houston.

Elaine I.

Yelp
Excellent! Delicious, well-prepared dinner in a surprising spot on the 6th floor of the Texas Medical Center. Calamari was tender and well-seasoned. Absolutely wonderful seafood risotto with tiny shreds of preserved lemon that exploded with flavor. Tender short rib, great fries and tasty broccolini. And dessert, yes please, tres leches cake, yum.

Kwong W.

Yelp
Lunch was great, the seating was very comfortable, and the place has a Big screen TV to watch FIFA was super!

Doris S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch here starting with a great manhattan cocktail. We had really good onion rings for an appetizer. Then we shared the Caesar and the Pasta with the best bolognese sauce we've ever had, including my own. Still trying to figure out how the chef did it! This place was incredible from the ambience, to the fabulous wait staff. Highly recommended. Can't wait to try their dinners..

A P.

Yelp
What a nice break from the chaos surrounding this area. We came in for a happy hour. Drinks and a few small plates. Not huge servings, but top notch quality. A much-needed diversion.

George R.

Yelp
Hidden gem on the health care campus. Great food and excellent service! Comfortable setting/ambiance. Went for dinner last night and returning for lunch today.

Khanh N.

Yelp
Great service and the burger was delicious. Will definitely eat here again next time in the Med Center.

Yelp
My guests and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed dining at III by Wolfgang Puck. The ambience was relaxing and elegant. The view of TMC is always mesmerizing. The service by Jorge was top notch and all the dishes and drinks that we selected were superb! I plan to return soon! Was a wonderful opportunity to have this gem in the midst of our TMC!

Yelp
i had a private event at III Wolfgang Puck restaurant last night and the staff was awesome, as usual. III Wolfgang Puck is located in the Texas Medical Center in the heart of Houston is FABULOUS! The food is amazing and the staff is SUPERIOR!!! Ms. Mary always greets you right at the door with with a HUGE smile and kind Karlee expeditiously gets you seated and gives you an escort to your dining table. My favorite server is always Jorge. I miraculously always get assigned to his table or when he's working the private areas. He was training Laura and she's already great. Last night Jorge had his hands full with just my event, but he handled it like a champ. Anthony the bartender is friendly, quick to serve and aims to please. The general manager, Jeffrey Sosa holds down a great team with big smiles. Karlee is also a manager who very patiently waited until my last guest left, way after closings with no complaints. Actually, everyone stayed over to make sure I was satisfied. Another server worth mentioning is Jennifer, who gladly pitched in at the end to help us get everyone out quickly. I like the synergy and cool atmosphere with a great view of the largest medical center in the world. Check it out!
