"Ika was one of the city’s first ramen spots, and it has grown now to four locations spread around the city and its suburbs, even expanding during the pandemic. It’s known for dishes like rich pork tonkotsu, a bright green Mary Jane ramen served with chicken, a bowl of super spicy “hot noods,” and killer poke and donburi bowls served with rice, raw or cooked protein, and sauces. Don’t sleep on the cocktail list, either; two of the locations have underground speakeasies attached." - Sarah Baker Hansen

"Chef and restaurateur Jose Dionicio’s Ika Ramen moved from the outskirts of Benson to the neighborhood’s heart and added a slate of new dishes to its menu of ramen, small bites, sushi, and shared plates, including a rotating list of creative bowls. A past special: a mashup of butternut squash soup and fried chicken ramen. Dionicio also partnered with bartender Alex Diimig, an alum of V. Mertz who also helped open the city’s first Tiki lounge, on a basement spot, Kaitei. It’s focused on sake, cocktails, and Japanese spirits. Both places are tiny, so expect a wait. To find Kaitei, look for the blue door inside the restaurant; there’s also an alley entrance." - Sarah Baker Hansen

The food was great! It came out fast and it was piping hot! Would definitely recommend and will for sure be visiting again. We got the 68104, East LA and the Mary Jane ramen bowls. YUM! We also got Pork Gyoza and Spicy Cucumbers small plates. *chefs kiss*!

I truly can’t say enough good things about Ika Ramen! This place isn’t just about the incredible food—though the food is indeed delicious—it’s the whole experience that makes it stand out. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, creating a perfect backdrop for enjoying some truly top-notch ramen. Whether you’re there for a solo meal, a date, or just hanging out with a friend, Ika makes every visit special. The staff at Ika Ramen work incredibly hard, but you’d never guess it from their friendly and accommodating demeanor. They’re always attentive and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions. I have specific dietary needs, and the staff at Ika are always careful and considerate, ensuring my food is safe and delicious every time. Even though I live in Lincoln, I find myself driving to Omaha often just to enjoy a meal at Ika Ramen. It’s become one of my favorite places, and for good reason. The dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. If you’re looking for a place with fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and a team that truly cares, look no further than Ika Ramen. You won’t be disappointed!

Wow. The menu reDO is not good. Couple times ive eaten in and ive doordashed 3 times since. Miss that eggplant purple kush. Ive tried other options and theres soo much wrong. Broths were really tasty before and now they are bland and flavor is inconsistent. Writing this review because I think Im done with Ika. I doordashed today and one my poached egg was still raw and broken all over my noodles- I usually throw it out. Thenn my cucumbers had no sauce, Im eating them when I dig out a raw shrimp tail 🦐 yeaaaa im grossed out now. Also idk what it is with the service . The waiters are so awkward and almost mean. Like Im sorry I cant pronounce Asahi right smh

Google
Food was very delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive... my only complaints would be that this place does not offer any silverware so if you're the average American that doesn't know how to use chopsticks.. then good luck. Also they have a sign in the front of the restaurant that says "Entrance in the back" Which is meant to be a pro LGBTQ sign .... however I did not realize this so my daughter and I were walking in the alley trying to look for the entrance of the restaurant for a lot longer than we needed to be roaming in an alley for.

Google
I visited Ika and JINYA back-to-back, and I preferred JINYA, due to its more exotic soup base, fresher tasting ramen noodles and the more modern and decorated interior. I consider Ika a more American take on the ramen concept. Chasiu and fried chicken were the highlights. A solid 4*.

Google
It was a whatever out of 10. Food looked great, but none of us finished it because it was a bit…hard to digest…? Like food was too thick and oily and careless. It was also not a great vibe and loud, without any authenticity. Worst part was when the waiter forgot our beers, it’s annoying because they up charge so much and can’t even handle basic beer service. Also they make us pay at the front with other people who give off vibes that they don’t care. Won’t be back.

Google
Awesome experience here, food and staff were fantastic and i look forward to coming back.

Google
Loved this place until today, left without ordering. Your loss! Empty restaurant, but told choosing a bigger table was inconvenient for the server. Well your inconvenience is also your loss. I for one will likely not return and suggest to everyone to choose a different spot for ramen. Try the one in blackstone instead. It’s pretty obvious why the restaurant was empty with such terrible service!

Yelp
DELICIOUS Ramen! Went here with my sister & brother in-law and had a lovely time! The service was superb and we never once had to flag the waiter down for anything as she was on top of it. We ordered "Ribs for your pleasure" for an app which is fried ribs, fried kimchi with sweet soy and it was wonderful. My husband ordered the Miso Ramen and I ordered the Oyako Don. All of our meals were well prepared and super flavorful. Perfect place to go out with friends or for date night!

Yelp
Disappointing Experience Due to Limited Menu and Poor Communication. I recently dined at Ika ramen and izakaya in Benson and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. While the service was okay, the restaurant ran out of many items due to a storm and power outage. However, this was not communicated to us until after we had read the menu and decided what to order. This resulted in our first choices being unavailable, which was frustrating. The food itself was not up to expectations. The fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisines did not work well in this instance. One particularly unpleasant dish was the cucumber with a vinegar-based hot sauce, which did not pair well at all. Additionally, the vegetables we added to our ramen were unexpectedly spicy. This was not mentioned by the server, and it ended up ruining the broth, making it inedible. Overall, the lack of communication and the unappetizing fusion dishes made for a disappointing dining experience. I hope the restaurant can improve these aspects in the future. 2 x main dishes 3 x appetizers $70

Yelp
I've been going to this location since I was in college, but they changed their menu. We had the East LA & Spicy Noods. The Spicy Noods is on the shareable plate, but I normally have it as an entrée because it is so good. The ramen is also very good. Make sure to check out their murals, the anime playing in the corner, and the hours on the other door off the dining area if you're looking for a post-dinner drink after dinner.

Trina B.

Yelp
While service can be a hit or miss, the food is good. Unfortunately, the inconsistent service quality does outweigh the wait for food that sometimes is too cool by the time you're served. I recommend ordering takeout in advance, if you're in a pinch. Ambience is okay with R&B, hiphop, and pop music, and cool wall art to occupy myself with while waiting for food. Another alternative is to ask if you can order takeout and have it delivered to the downstairs bar, for a nice ambient dinner with great music.

Yelp
We came here on a random Friday night when we were bar hopping in benson - 30 min wait but they have the coolest basement speakeasy bar that we passed the time in! Very fun vibes!! The ramen was AMAZING! Very large portions for the price. Service was a bit disappointing - they forgot to put in our order so we waited for 45 minutes but the food was soooo good so we'd come back! Think it was just a busy night.

Nancy E.

Yelp
One thing about me is, I am always going to say YES to Ika Ramen. My go to is the fuego ramen. It has a generous piece of chicken thigh and the skin is fried to a delicious crisp. They coat the chicken in a buffalo like sauce which I love. My only critique is, I wish it was a little spicier but that's just me. The benson location is smaller so if you have a larger party, I recommend their downtown location.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Ika Ramen is a great little spot in the middle of Benson. I ordered the Shoyu ramen which was good, and my boyfriend thought the tonkotsu was good, but not his favorite ramen. We came in with a group of 8 on a pretty busy day for an early dinner, and we were able to get a seat fairly quickly (~20 minutes). This location is smaller than the others, so if it's busy you might have to wait a bit for a table. The decor inside is fun, and definitely adds to the experience. The bar downstairs is super cool and is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a cool spot for drinks! Our waitress was great the last time I visited - she was super attentive and took care of us quickly, even with a larger group!

Amanda G.

Yelp
The menu has changed and it is not as great as it was before. We NEED the brussel sprouts back that are not tempura fried. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the old recipe. I have no desire to come back until the Brussels are back.

Nina S.

Yelp
Fun themed restaurant in Benson. Ordered a buta kimchi don with tons of texture and flavors. Tender and savory pork belly, crunchy veg, and fresh kimchi worked well in the bowl together. It was more sweet than spicy.

Jazzy S.

Yelp
We heard this was one of the best ramen places in town, so we were excited to try. The atmosphere is like a trendy asian restaurant. Service was good not great. We found out there is a speakeasy downstairs so that was neat. We were a bit disappointed with the food overall. - Tonkatsu ramen (3/5): the broth was almost luke warm when it was served to us, so that was disappointing. The flavor overall was good but not as savory as tonkatsu typically is. The soft boiled egg was cooked well, and the pork was tender and tasty. - Spicy miso ramen (2.5/5): the broth was flavorful and had a kick of spice. Noodles were good, lots of toppings - Tokyo fried chicken (4/5): loved the chicken, pretty fatty and oily but still tasted great. Very crispy and delicious - Pork belly steam buns (4/5): pork belly was cooked and seasoned well. Love the buns and the crunch of the cucumber Overall a bit disappointed in the ramen, but next time will have to try the other types of ramen instead of the classics!

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Omaha. Every bowl of ramen is delicious. Every appetizer and non-ramen item is delicious, even the bok choy. Bok choy is in my mind an ingredient, not a whole fish, but Ika proved me wrong. It is a small and dimly lot space that, like many a Benson restaurant, plays gangsta rap while you eat paired with anime. This intimate vibe makes it hard to excuse the sometimes slow service (which, when it happens, I immediately forgive because I am enamored with my meal). I always like the spicy seafood ramen. My wife likes the donburi which is a rice bowl with a spicy mayo-ish sauce. Dumplings are great. You leave FULL and happy and with a lighter wallet.

Sarah P.

Yelp
This is a wonderful little ramen place tucked away in Benson. The interior is simple but the food and service is great. They have a decent drink selection available, along with some quirky canned sake and soju. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious; the pickled onions were a great touch. Looking forward to the next time I come back or get take out.

George M.

Yelp
Lauren the football coach, loudly playing their music from their phone, twerking behind the counter. brought out appetizers after the main meal.

Tiffany K.

Yelp
I like different things about each of the ramen places in Omaha. For Ika, I think they have a cheaper menu compared to Akarui and Jinya. It's not a big difference in price, about $1. Since food is expensive now, maybe it'll change in the near future. They're add-on options are also slightly cheaper too. I got extra noodles, which was $2 more and an extra egg, which was $1. I like the broth, but I was not a fan of the toppings on many of the different ramen dishes. However, that is a personal preference and I just asked for them to be left out of my dish.

Brooke L.

Yelp
The steamed buns were good! Something I'd never had before. But one of those things that now that I've tried it I don't need to try it again. It's not an appetizer I can see myself craving. I also found out I do not like udon noodles. Whoops! After picking most of those out everything else was great! My husband got the Mary Jane, his was delicious!! We both really liked it. I got niku udon, added sprouts and mushrooms. On the menu they have a little dictionary to describe what the items are that I wasn't familiar with so that was helpful! Overall we will definitely be back.

Devon S.

Yelp
charged me for crab Raggoon roll and never even had the item in stock but still let me order it then never returned money. I have now got ahold of DoorDash and the store and still no refund... how you let somebody order something that your out of...

Shelly Y.

Yelp
This was absolutely amazing and delicious! As many years as I have been coming here I have never once tried the Benson Bomb... it might be my new favorite! It was soo good and even my dad loved it. This time o got my absolute favorite ramen ... Purple Kush. The broth in this ramen is absolutely delicious!

Kurt S.

Yelp
I met a friend here earlier in the summer and it was a good experience. We went at the cusp of happy hour and ordered a few different food items, as well as some drinks. All were nicely priced as it was happy hour. The food was great. The drinks were great as well. The service was a tad slow though. The employees were super nice but it almost seemed like our waiter purposely stayed away from my table when HH was ending because my drink was empty, lol. I definitely am going to go back after COVID ramps down again.

Douglas C.

Yelp
My son and I included this restaurant in our 20 restaurant quest of the Benson neighborhood. I never had a single bite of food from any restaurant in Benson until I moved here one year ago, and the quest began. At first I was a little concerned about eating ramen? But my concern was quickly dropped as this enormous bowl of wonderful broth and noodles and a huge chunk of pork shoulder showed up at my table. My son and I both agreed, absolutely incredible. Do not forget to get the brussel sprouts, which is a Benson tradition

Francis A.

Yelp
Delicious. I enjoyed the ginger that they added to the ramen. They do not skimp out on the ingredients which I appreciate a lot. The staff were friendly and social. Too bad Kaitei was closed, that's what we had originally gone for but happy to have eaten bomb ramen and drunk sake I forgot to take a picture of the kimchi tempura because it was that delicious. I recommend ordering that if you're into fried pickles. It's got that tempura flavor and then the pickledness of the kimchi. also I'm a big fan of the ambiance. They had the og Pokemon episode playing and also a picture Vin Diesel and Paul Walker with the decor which made me laugh, "Family"

Cassidy J.

Yelp
Delicious Ramen! The servers are soooo helpful if you don't know what to order. We didn't know what to order for Saki and our server was SPOT ON with what to order. I've been here a few times and I don't love pork so I always try to steer clear of anything with pork and pork broth and honestly it's a mistake. The pork ramen is WHERE ITS AT. It's sooooo good! You can alter what goes in each bowl if there's something you want to get rid of or add! Love this place!

Alex S.

Yelp
Delicious and flavorful. I had heard good things about this place so we stopped here on our way through Nebraska and the food did not disappoint! Tonkotsu ramen was flavorful and filling, and I really enjoyed how many toppings came with it. My bf got the Fuego ramen and I'd also recommend that one if you're a fan of buffalo (with moderate spice-spice lovers may want to ask for more spice). Come here for the food and stay for the cool wall murals and the great happy hour deals. Thanks for a great meal!

Chad C.

Yelp
Small ramen spot in Benson, although they recently added more seating inside which was a great addition! Usually stop in here during the snowy season for a warm bowl of goodness. Probably 12-15 tables inside with some bar seating as well, and always a TV playing anime or strange music videos (not always family friendly). Definitely recommend the miso and Mary Jane. Spicy Miso was just OK in my opinion, little high on spice and lacking on flavor. Also, the Tokyo fried chicken small plate and Benson bomb was delicious, and the spicy bok choy was just that...spicy (but delicious)! Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for service... definitely lacking. My last visit, I was seated promptly and with only 5 other customers in the restaurant, while the 3 servers talked behind the bar for 25 minutes before taking our order. I had to actually to get up and ask if I was supposed to order at the counter, or if I was missing something. Not rude, just inattentive, maybe I didn't look ready? All in all, solid ramen and small plates, a little different atmosphere but maybe not great for families.

Shannon B.

Yelp
This is a super fun and cute restaurant in Benson. The drinks are good, and the food was delicious! I had pork belly donburi, and my friend had the spicy pork ramen. We shared and really had a hard time deciding which was better. Ultimately ramen won, barely :) I guess nothing beats a rich and spicy broth! I want to go back because theres too much temptation on the menu for me not to. Price wise it wasn't bad either. We came for lunch and ordered two cocktails and two entrees, and the bill was just under $50 before tip.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
So delicious!! Went here for lunch with twin goals of confronting my fear of ordering the wrong ramen and continuing to visit new-to-me Benson eateries. I'm pleased to report that all goals were accomplished, and I'm left with the memory of the best lunch I've had in months. Our server was an excellent coach for both me, a ramen novice, and my friend who knows her way around noodles. I ordered the miso, which was delicious!! I feel like I understand ramen better now - it's a balance of many kinds of flavors and textures, all in one bowl. Our very favorite thing? The Brussels sprouts appetizer, a heaping bowl of crunchy yet soft, tangy yet sweet goodness. Helpful tip: the back of the menu has a glossary if you really want to know what the ingredients are that you see listed.

Megan B.

Yelp
Best ramen! Awesome environment! Understanding covid impacts everything, our service was a bit slow and it wasn't that busy, so that's my only area of improvement. I would totally come back and I'd also order takeout! The bar in the basement was empty. Cool environment but may have felt better with some customers hanging out :)

Lizzy L.

Yelp
A phenomenal ramen spot with amazing vibes! The ramen was absolutely delicious and flavorful! You also get so much to choose from and the prices are very fair

Monica C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the ramen here and we also had the Benson Bomb and kimchi tempura as an appetizer. The Benson Bomb was good and certainly unique, however the pork was way over salted and ruined the chance for it to be delicious, which it would have been had it not been for the salt. The fried kimchi was just ok. The ramen over all was pretty good, the broth had great flavor and it actually had a decent amount of meat in it. However, once again it was also over salted. If I could give 2.5 stars i would, but not because of the service which was good, not great or the salty food. I would give 2.5 stars because the place a sort of dirtyness to it. The menus were disgusting, covered with soup and who knows what other droppings, the table was kind of dirty (good thing I keep wipes in my purse) and the floors looked like they had not been cleaned in awhile. While the food was decent, I won't be going back unless someone dies some major cleaning in there.

Kennedy M.

Yelp
SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. and worth the wait!! my favorite bowl of noodles i've ever had. we came in at seven on saturday night and it was full. we put our name on the waitlist and got sat about 20 mins later. after we ordered we had to wait quite a while to get our food. our server was so friendly about everything and they had a lot of takeout orders going out the door so it was completely understandable. maybe call ahead on a friday or saturday night if you plan on stopping! like i said, it was worth waiting. my ramen was AMAZING. i ordered the mary jane because i LOVEEE cilantro and it's very cilantro forward. i'll definitely be working my way through the entire menu here. i'm eager to try it all!

Hannah K.

Yelp
Super bummed. The ramen had way too much oil...to the point where it was almost inedible. My husband had the kimchi ramen and something tasted off- we think that the kimchi they were using was not fermented enough so it gave a very bitter flavor. We had the cauliflower wing appetizer and that was delicious and the service was great. Overall, I would not recommend this place for ramen.

Scott M.

Yelp
I feel like this place is underrated. We split the Benson Bomb as an appetizer. My boyfriend got the Kimchi Ramen as his main. I got the Oyako Don donburi. Everything was truly great. The service is great. We went on a Saturday about 6pm and the kitchen was a little slow. But, it was definitely worth the wait. There is an awesome speak easy bar in the basement if there is a long wait to get seated.

Steve S.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible delivery service from Grub Hub. Staying in a hotel and the driver didn't even have the curtesy to text and say they dropped it off nor did I receive any notice it had been delivered. Ordered the food around 7:00pm, finally found it 9:25pm cold, lumpy noodles. Partially the front desk at the hotel fault too as the bag had clearly the room number etc on it and they just let it sit behind the counter. If I could withdrawal the mandatory tip for the driver ai would. Just plain lazy and don't care. Who does these days?

Anne S.

Yelp
We came here after leaving the tasting menu dinner at Au Courant still feeling hungry. We were seated pretty promptly, but it then took 20 MINUTES to get a waitress to bring us a menu. Much displeased. The dumplings still were better than anything on the tasting menu at Au Courant, though, so there's that. All the stars here go toward the food; zero stars for the service.

Emma S.

Yelp
Pros: - food was pretty good - atmosphere is fun Cons: - We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. It turned out to be an hour and a half wait. - Our server forgot to put in our food and we were waiting quite a while for it. Her excuse was, "Oh, someone must have asked me a question and I forgot." - The food wasn't very hot. Less than lukewarm. In conclusion, go to the other locations and don't go to this one on a weekend or Friday. It will be incredibly busy and the service won't be as good.

Larry F.

Yelp
Some of the Best Ramen in Omaha, Specifically from their Benson Locations on Maple. Most of theo people leaving one stars reviews should really be rating their delivery service apps instead of the restaurant itself. If you aren't super lazy like them and can actually leave the house for a meal, its awesome. Just don't expect your ramen that took 30 minutes to deliver to be top notch, you muttonead.

Aaron D.

Yelp
another ramen shop that doesn't offer any detail on their menu & forces you to google Japanese ingredients and guess what might be in your ramen? FYI, despite no specific indication what so ever, their "Mary Jane" ramen has a crap ton of cilantro puree into the broth... so even if you order "no cilantro" with your order... they won't check if you still want their cilantro chicken broth. Yes, I have a genetic condition that makes cilantro taste like soap. The "mary Jane" ramen was the only one with a non-Japanese name... I assumed it was a "plain Jane" entry level recipe, & not one ruined & greened with cilantro.

Vinny E.

Yelp
Phenomenal place to eat. Their ramen is second to none, and atmosphere is great!! Would definitely recommend!

Michelle J.

Yelp
I LOVE this restaurant. So much so that I purchased the yearly "Golden Ticket" since I go at least 3 times a month. I am a big ramen fan. My favorite here is the "Mary Jane." The fried brussels sprouts are amazing as is the Crab Rangoon roll. The broth is flavorful and the noodles are fresh. Zach and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great vibe and addition to the Benson area.

Sloan N.

Yelp
Delicious! Fried Brussel sprouts were the best thing on the menu. Mary Jane ramen was DELICIOUS. I wouldn't recommend you wear your fav shirt when you go get ramen bc it may splash on you, but so worth it.

Gregory C.

Yelp
Stopped into Ika after hearing great things about it! We went pretty late at night (around 10 PM) and we had to wait about ten minutes for a table due to the limited amount of seating options because of COVID. On Friday they have reverse happy hour from 10 PM - 12 AM, and it was $2 off all ramen bowls (except seafood) and $11 poke bowls. We ended up ordering the grilled shrimp poke bowl and the Mary Jane Ramen. The poke bowl was my favorite thing, and it included spicy shrimp, avocado, chili oil, green onion, green aioli, seaweed salad, and fried onion. The fried onions added the perfect amount of crispness with the huge pieces of avocado and shrimp. The Mary Jane bowl was really good as well. The broth was a bit thin, but it had such a good flavor with the noodles.

Elmer B.

Yelp
Got some Ramen and egg rolls delivered last night and it was delicious! I got the Tonkotsu, which was delicious. The broth mixed with the mushrooms and pork was flavorful. The pork and kimchi egg rolls were delicious and definitely unique.

Paul J.

Yelp
Times are unclear. Says it closes at 9 PM. We arrive at 8:30 PM and no staff at the front. I had to call 2 times to get anyone from the back to come to the front. They finally get to us at 8:37 PM and say take out only because they close in 15 minutes. If you say you close at 9 PM, then close at 9 PM. If you don't want customers coming in at 830 PM then change your time or make it clear when we can or can't dine in.

Ayla G.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service always. Their fried cauliflower is probably one of the best things on the menu and they always fill up the bowl of ramen.

Karma M.

Yelp
The ramen is amazing, and the atmosphere is pretty darn coo, head on down to the basement of check out the ambiance down there along with their tons of great Saki. You won't regret it.

Amera R.

Yelp
Omg!!! I was in Omaha for a work trip and with the chilly weather, I was craving some ramen. When I tell you guys how amazing this ramen was, the fire emoji comes to mind. I got the purple kush ramen, asked the friendly server to make it spicy and added tofu. AMAZING. Had the spicy edamame, the spicy tuna tots and Brussels sprouts as well and they were all delicious. Coming back SOON

Stephanie L.

Yelp
It is just getting better. When they move to this new location, there is more space than the old one. I've tried most of the ramen here and I am impressed. My favorite would be Tonkatsu, Mary Jane, Vegetarian, and Miso! The broth is flavorful and not salty anymore (the reason I always come back). I love how they seared the meat that makes it crispy and yet still moist! I would say this is the best ramen that I had in Omaha. The menu also expanded with small plates, appetizers, rice, and other non-noodle items. I've tried the buns and okonomiyaki and loved it. The okonomiyaki is huge and could be share between 2 people. Service is still slow and not attentive. Hope they could improve on this.

Yelp
Ika Ramen is a 4 star Omaha Ramen experience, but probably more like 3 stars when compared to cities with bigger Japanese/Asian populations (like LA and Honolulu come to mind- tons of 5 star experiences for me). The location is awesome and fitting for the Benson neighborhood, leaving a lot of room for fun activities to do with your 21+ aged crew before or after dinner/lunch. The decor is fun and eclectic- sorta like a modern graffiti version of a traditional ramen house, and there is an open kitchen to watch all the action. Service here can be hit or miss, sometimes we have fantastic servers and others have been impatient for us to leave due to the small seating area and waitlist of people waiting to dine. If there is one negative here is probably that- pushy service on busy nights for you to dine and dash since they need the table for other patrons. The good news for said waiting patrons though is that Kai Tei is a sake speakeasy underneath Ika and can be accessed through the alley or the restaurant itself. It makes waiting for a table that much more comfortable and relaxing- so customers aren't let waiting in the freezing cold or sweltering heat waiting to be seated (and the drinks are damn good too). The food here has vastly improved since they opened. When I had first tried their broths, I found the flavors to be too experimental and non traditional. They have come full circle and now produce a number of tasty traditional broths like miso, tonkotsu, soy, and chicken. Toppings have also become more traditional, which I love. The "izakaya" or "bar" aspect of the menu hosts some small bites like gyoza and octopus skewers and pork belly buns. They also have donburi rice bowls and a few other items. Overall, a niche in Omaha where there is not a lot of activity in attempting traditional Japanese Izakaya (bars). I commend them for their efforts and hope that they inspire more traditional ethnic restaurants to open in Omaha.

Yelp
Decently priced ramen at a decent quality in the Midwest! One big suggestion for their ramen is to make the pork belly a little less over-cooked. Other than that the food options aren't too bad, drinks are relatively cheap try the asahi large size $7! Again I think the pork belly could be much more tender whereas they tasted completely hard and over cooked!! On the other hand, their downstairs has a small cocktail bar that isn't apparent at all when you first come in to the ramen shop. I like the low key side door leading to the downstairs bar which gives it a feeling leading back to the prohibition era or a speakeasy. Overall if looking for a quick ramen and in the Benson area might not be too bad for a quick stop in, but could do a little better on their pork belly. Downstairs bar definitely gives this place a slight edge compared to some other Japanese inspired restaurants!

Yelp
Always my go-to ramen spot in Omaha. The food is nothing short of perfect, my favorite being the miso ramen, and the Brussel sprout appetizers. All of the ramens are loaded with all the fixings and each one of the broths are so rich and amazing. Service is always great, even when they're so busy they can barely catch their breath - everyone is still so pleasant. It's the cutest spot! Highly recommend.
