IKEA Palo Alto is a great place to shop for furniture and home accessories. The store is well-organized and offers a wide variety of items at affordable prices, so it’s easy to find what you need. Parking is free and usually easy to get, which makes the visit even more convenient. The in-store restaurant is also a nice bonus, offering good meal options at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to furnish or refresh their home.

Google
Busy yet still delicious! Sure you can go here to do some furniture and home furnishing shopping… but you can also head over to their restaurant for a delicious meal! I mean hey, you knew that already… but you definitely should know it’s a thing to just show up for food. :)

Dan K.

Google
Went purely for the food court, however the store seems to be a fun time. Especially since I've never visited one so was a neat experience. The food it self was pretty mid though, meat balls were fine, but the rest I'd not get again. Will try other stuff next time. Pricing is good so would recommend.

Google
One of the largest IKEA stores in the Bay Area! The store has a well-mapped layout with easy-to-follow directions, which makes navigating through different sections smooth and enjoyable. Everything is neatly presented, and the displays are helpful for visualizing ideas. The food court is a highlight. It has great variety and quality for a quick bite or a full meal. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends, so it’s best to plan ahead. Overall, a great spot for home shopping and grabbing a meal in one visit.

Google
IKEA is a masterclass in organized chaos—in the best way. The showroom walk-through feels like a well-choreographed maze of design inspiration, with room layouts that spark ideas for every budget. Whether you're after modular storage, compact seating, or affordable dishware, the selection is thoughtful, modern, and accessible. Most products are easy to transport and assemble yourself, and the self-service warehouse makes it convenient to grab what you need right away. Staff are generally helpful, though the experience can feel overwhelming during weekends or sales events. Mobile scanning tools and the IKEA app make it easier to track bin locations and double-check product details before committing to a cart. Parking is abundant, and checkout usually runs smoothly unless there’s a huge crowd. It's the kind of place where you come for one item… and leave with ten.

Google
I am going to review the store. The restaurant would get a better review, since the employees there are very polite. First of all, the whole layout is annoying and customer unfriendly. Ikea forces you to go through the whole store without any possibility to reasonably exit. If you buy something with a cart, you have to take the elevator to the garage, where you can expect to wait in a line for several minutes. Then, there is always a long line at the cash register, even when the store is almost empty as there are very few cash registers open. Even most of the self checkouts are often closed. Why? There is also chaos, where the products are placed and the relevant price tags. Many times not corresponding. Ikea in Europe is the cheapest and low quality store. The prices here are twice as expensive. Employees often chat with each other and do not care very much to help the customers. Overall, not a great experience.

Google
They have good stuff, great value. The food is also delicious, with plamt-based/vegan options like veggie balls, hot dogs, cinnamon rolls, and a strawberry soft ice. However I really don’t like the layout - the meandering paths without a clear view of the exit is disorienting; I want to either be able to see across the store more with lower walls or have a map showing the layout to scale instead of the “linear” 1D map that looks like a BART line without any sense of the 2D layout.

I visited the IKEA store in Palo Alto for the very first time, and it was a wonderful experience. The store is huge, well-organized, and full of creative ideas for home and office. Walking through the showroom felt inspiring, with so many stylish setups that give you practical design ideas. Highlights: - Wide variety of furniture and home essentials at affordable prices. - Modern designs that suit both small apartments and big homes. - Spacious layout with clear directions, making it easy to explore. - Helpful staff who guide you whenever you need assistance. - The food court is a bonus – Swedish meatballs and other snacks make the visit even more enjoyable. Things to keep in mind: - The store can get crowded, especially on weekends, so patience is needed. - Self-service and assembly are part of the IKEA experience, which may not suit everyone. - Parking is available but sometimes feels tight during peak hours. Overall, IKEA Palo Alto is a great place to shop if you love modern, affordable, and practical home solutions. My first visit was exciting, and I look forward to coming back again. Highly recommended for anyone setting up or refreshing their home!

Yelp
Ikea hasn't changed much since the last time I visited. There are new designs for the duvets, picture frames, kids toys, furniture etc. This visit we went to find some decorations for my daughter's room. She wanted floating shelves. We found the shelves and picked up some other household items. We needed some screws for the shelves and I was able to find a worker to ask. He was so kind, attentive and got us what we needed. The highlight of the visit was MEATBALL SUNDAE! Definitely, worth the $2.50 spent :D I would highly recommend the next time you go!

Yelp
IKEA has good ideas and the lay out is fine. The problems start here when you want to purchase something. Everything is easy to find but the check out line is worse than the DMV. At least the DMV has learned over the years and it is much better than before but still a chore to wait. IKEA has 26 registers to help you part ways with your money but only 7 of them open today and few on other days. Do note that today being A Sat during the summer you know it is going to be busy. 8 July 2018 13:30hrs. Come on IKEA find a solution for the line organization and find a way to get people out quicker. Do you ever notice how many abandoned carts there are near the check out lines. They are there because people give up and just leave. Especially the ones who don't know to walk past the two longest lines in the center and make their ways to the front on either side . This step alone saves you half the wait. I have been in line about 20 min my timer I started after noticing the line wasn't even moving. Think of the lost revenue you have when people see the line and just decide to walk out. Think of the ones who are in line

Yelp
My family and I look forward to coming here when we travel near here. We always end up spending way more time than we plan to. The displays are nice to look at and definitely always inspire us to remodel our house. It can get crowded, especially on weekends so watch out for that. The layout of the store is pretty organized though. I love how they organize each room. It's easier to look through. It can be overwhelming though. Besides that, Ikea is still one of favorite places to go when we stop by. I would say that this place is for majority that are on a budget. The quality of items aren't the best. But I've had some stuff that lasted for quite a few years.

Yelp
It's been about 15 years since I set foot in ikea. When I stopped going I was bored with the store. Even new items seemed like minuscule variations designed to give the product a new name and to ensure maximum incompatibility with the old product. This hasn't seemed to have changed. The old classics are still there but they seemed few and far between. One thing I look for are foldable furniture, but most items need to be assembled and are not meant to be disassembled. I did like their kitchen items but mostly the small odds and ends that every kitchen needs. The problem for IKEA now is Amazon. Amazon quality is less consistent than IKEA but for smaller to medium size purchases that shipping fee can kill the sale. And no I don't have the muscle to pick up the package and drive it home. One of the more substantial items are the pots and pans. I've had pretty good luck with the 365 line of pots. But Amazon interferes again. There are a lot of pots that are higher quality and more cost competitive. Tramontina springs to mind. The 365 line performs well because the disk at the bottom is so substantial not because they have superior metallurgy. As for the knives well they make excellent beater knives and are appropriately priced. One thing that has changed radically. The little paper notes and tiny pencils are almost gone. Now you download the app and start scanning to create your shopping lists . But wait they still haven't solved the real problem. How do you find the item? IKEA quality is more consistent but there is quite a premium on the price. I've noticed once you get into the better quality lines the cost rises until all your other options become price competitive. So you better wait for a sale. The miniature steel pots for kids remains one my favorites. Finally a toy that babies can play with and use for teething as well. I've had good luck with their kitchen knick knacks. From brushes for the sink to the toilet you get reasonable quality for a nice price. I used to like their glasses, but they shatter very easily. Their steel utensils are pretty reliable but the selection isn't comprehensive.I'm down to speciality items like fish spatulas. No luck. I deliberately picked up one of their pepper grinders. I purchased one 30 years ago and it lasted close to twenty years. Here's to some more of that! You can't leave IKEA without eating the meatballs. I don't like them but I eat them because it's part of the IKEA experience. But they've improved them radically with just a little dollop of cranberry sauce. The sweet/tart flavor complements the intensely meaty flavor of the meatballs, bringing the whole thing into balance. The small plate of the meatball meal was astonishingly priced at $2.99. If you wanted to you could order two plates of this for six bucks and it would be more food and lower priced than the large meatball meal. IKEA is celebrating its birthday and the special price on the meatball meal is part of the celebration. If you sign up for the IKEA loyalty program, they give you a free coffee on Tuesdays. It doesn't seem like a reasonable incentive to get you in there on a Tuesday, but the luck was with me and it was so.

Yelp
I love going to IKEA because I get my steps The lay out is perfect for walking and you get a great view of the furnitures and appliances they sell. It's bright and clean! Their food is really good and affordable! Service is fast and the workers are helpful!

Yelp
IKEA in general has gone way downhill in terms of quality, but this location has really taken a dive in service. Lack of product knowledge among employees is noticeable. I don't expect them to know the catalog, but it would be nice to offer some good directions or recommendations for alternatives. This location always seems to be out of the item I need, and restock is hit or miss. The return process is a joke - wasting 1.5-2+ hours out of your day to return items is diabolical customer service. I don't know why they think staffing two people to handle returns and spare parts on a Sunday is sufficient, so I'm writing this as I painfully wait to return some items, and this will hopefully be the last time I set foot in this circus again.

Yelp
Ikea is chaotic evil. The quality of the furniture is what you pay for - basically good when you're a broke college student and terrible once you start making decent money. I haven't stepped foot into Ikea since I left grad school to purchase anything, but alas, circumstantial events led me to EPA Ikea. We needed something same day and unfortunately decided to venture to here. In the past, you were able to pick up the items yourself in the main area. Nowadays, you either order online or add the item to a virtual shopping list and pay prior to going to the pick-up area. I highly avoid this tactic because you'll end up waiting for what literally feels like forever with very little direction in a sea of confused individuals. Workers seem overwhelmed and can be quite rude, based on what I heard from others waiting in the area. Never again! I'm going back to West Elm or the like. At least it's easier to get help there even if I have to splurge a bit.

Yelp
My review is limited to buying food items after the store register/cashier area. ORDER -1 dark chocolate chocolate bar $1.99 -1 pack of regular meat balls $14.49 or $14.99 STARS (stand out qualities) -Self pay kiosks was convenient -Wide variety of interesting foods. I had to practice self discipline to avoid buying too much -Most food prices are reasonable -Parking is convenient STAIRS (areas of growth) -I wanted to buy soft serve but it was not available -Wish there were better promotions when buying more meatballs. Most promotions only saved a dollar or two TIPS -Sign up and use IKEA family discount card

Yelp
I returned a mattress in JULY and replaced it with a more expensive one, per Ikea's mattress return policy. A month later, I noticed that I hadn't received credit for the one I returned. This started a series of VERY time-consuming chats with Ikea CSRs. It wasn't even a complicated situation. I returned it - your computer shows I returned it - send my credit. Right?? Sept 16, I was promised a contact from senior staff in 1-2 days. Nope. Days went by. Finally got my credit TODAY Oct 22. So... almost FOUR mos after the return. Yelp
This IKEA got so much better. Everything as perfect, especially at the food court. Your food court has amazing employees that are super fast and friendly, with great smiles and a positive attitude. Lunchtime purchase was a breeze even with the busy-ness. The marinated salmon lunch tasted so good and I got a side of the famous IKEA meatballs for 1.50 talk about a great deal! The employees on the sales floor are super nice from start to finish! They are helpful and knowledgeable and super funny. I found a great deal on a "last chance" computer stand that I plan on using as a night stand, IKEA's quality and look is always impressive and versatile. I have made IKEA my number one furniture shopping store. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Looks like others feel the same. Haven't been to IKEA for a long time and don't remember I purchased beddings related stuff, but in general IKEA has become the worst in terms of service. Of course it is supposed to be no frills and no service. But am I supposed to know what to do seeing tags and kiosks? That I knew I were supposed to know where and how to buy the stuff? It wasn't just me I was asked by others wtf they were supposed to do as well. You are supposed to pay at the front then wait and pick up your stuff at the receiving counter? That wasn't what I remembered. And where the hell is "Market Hall" and beddings section to pick up my thing? And I need to go through yet another showroom to find the product I have already picked? Now am I supposed to know that the product is only the cover while I am seeing the finished pillow? And by the time I realized I was wrong I need to wait 45 minutes just to return the $9 cover, there are like 20+ people sitting there waiting like the Covid vaccine scene (in fact it is much worse, I frankly have not seen often line that long). IKEA seems to have become much worse over the years, thanks but no thanks.

Yelp
I had a very disappointing experience with this IKEA location. I purchased a three-piece shoe cabinet, and when I got home, I realized two items were missing from the box. What should have been a simple fix turned into a frustrating three-week ordeal. I contacted Customer Service five different times. Each time I was told something different, and although they created a case number, they never processed the order or shipped the missing parts. Eventually, they told me I needed to go to the store in person. Today, I went to the branch and waited in Customer Service for 45 minutes, sitting on the couch while they tried to locate the spare parts -- and they still couldn't find them. No follow-through, no urgency, and no real help. Overall, this has been a very poor experience. I expected much better from IKEA, especially when the issue was caused by missing items in the box. Very disappointing and a huge waste of time.

Yelp
Mom had an appointment near by so we stopped in for lunch and her birthday dessert. She loved her cake and of course lunch. I enjoy shopping online a few days earlier and scheduling pick up when we're in their neighborhood. Thanks. Or Thak.

Yelp
I'm shook by all the 1 star reviews LOL but it seems like it's just for the food? I've had IKEA meatballs once in my life & yeah I don't understand the hype but?? don't think I would count IKEA food as like "hey I'm hungry let's go out to IKEA" ? idk maybe it's just me anyways I love IKEA I've been coming here for yearssssss it's like my happy place lol have done click & collect a few times & it's gone seamlessly also have just walked through & enjoyed all the stuff & sat on a billion couches also when we went to test couches we ended up getting couches & they did NOT fit in my car bc I'm terrible at math LOL but the guy was really nice & said I could take one box back to the house & he'd hold the other box for me at the click & collect area so I could come back for it (same day) sometimes the app will say something is in stock but then when I go to hunt down the aisle in the warehouse theres no stock but tbh that's no fault of Ikea's lol Im just too slow to get there I guess anyways I love IKEA the end

Yelp
After hearing so much hype around ikea food, i was finally able to give it a try during my visit to ikea! I was left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. I ate lunch around 2pm on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. Roughly a 20-minute wait in line but once you place your order, the food comes out quick. The food is bland and nothing that would want me to come back for more. The mash potatoes and gravy needed more salt and the peas were watery. The lemon herb fish was better taste wise, but it definitely reminds me of cafeteria food. They have another food court at checkout that serves grab and go items such as hot dogs and ice cream. I would rather eat there.

Yelp
This IKEA is as massive as any other I've been to on the East Coast, which is expected. I made the trip out here because the city location only carries IKEA accessories, not the full furniture selection. Unfortunately, despite coming prepared, I left disappointed. I had a list of five specific furniture pieces and racks to buy, but only managed to get two of them. The other three? Out of stock--even though the website showed they were available. I made sure to check inventory online before coming, so it was frustrating to find out that their system wasn't accurate. It seems like even if you do your due diligence, you're still rolling the dice on whether what you need is actually there. That said, the store itself is clean, spacious, and well-organized. The showroom is always fun to walk through, and I do appreciate being able to see and feel the furniture before deciding on a purchase. The food court is another plus--bright, roomy, and a good place to take a break during the visit. The biggest downside, aside from the inventory issues, was the checkout process. They only had self-checkout open, which meant a painfully long line stretching halfway through the warehouse--on a weekday. The wait was unnecessary and tedious, making an already frustrating trip even worse. Given how long this has been a complaint in past reviews, it doesn't seem like IKEA is in a rush to improve it. Overall, I still enjoy the IKEA atmosphere and exploring their showroom for design ideas, but the stock inconsistencies and inefficient checkout process make shopping here more of a hassle than it should be. Next time, I'll probably just order online to avoid the headache--at least I'll know for sure I'm getting what I need.

Yelp
The variety of Products at a good price was good. The decor set up for modeling kitchens and homes were done well. Check out was just annoying. Food Court across from down first level check out don't waste your time. Food was really bad. Even the fountain drinks better off, not having that portion of the store it brought down the overall experience hot dogs were nasty. Ice cream was soft serve but not really creamy but still tasty. Fountain drinks bad wish I left after check out.

Yelp
Tried their restaurant today & got the meatballs + daim chocolate cake. It was overall pretty good - we got a solid amount of food for the price & we enjoyed it. This isn't anything I'd go out of my way for but if you're shopping & want something to eat with a kind of cute mountain view, I'd say it worth stopping in for.

Yelp
Ouch, a 2-star rating this place, I had can see why. bought some furniture, got home - broken! Upset about it, paid a lot for this. Service was good, they did a return, but I had to come back which was upsetting in the first place you know? They have good prices. Just wish they would be more careful with their inventory.

Yelp
Those two stars are for the two employees that helped me, I'm otherwise disappointed in IKEA. In April, I was mildly injured by the elevator door closing on me and not bouncing back.. the only thing that saved me from further harm was my wheelchair catching most of the force and my friend pushing it off me. We told an employee about my injury and she immediately called medical, a young man that appeared behind us and was lovely. I talked to their insurance rep a couple times, told her what happened and she was very attentive, but then I got shuffled three other people that never spoke to me until one just denied any fault and then no one would talk to me. I even tried to contact IKEA, but no one bothered to respond. I never asked for anything, I just wanted to make sure the elevator got fixed because I got lucky.

Lisa D.

Yelp
I've always loved IKEA -- for years, the simplicity of finding what you need, locating the bin number, and heading out quickly has been part of the charm. However, this new "click and collect" or pickup point system is a huge step backward in convenience. After paying for my items in-store, I was directed to the pickup area and told my order would be brought down shortly. Over an hour later, I'm still waiting. A staff member explained that only two elevators connect to a separate warehouse, which causes significant delays. For a small item that could easily be stocked in the self-serve area, this process makes little sense. The concept might work for large furniture orders, but for anything else, the wait time completely negates the efficiency IKEA is known for. Unless they streamline this system, I'd recommend sticking to items you can grab yourself from the bins -- or be prepared for a long, frustrating wait. Better yet use an online retailer that will deliver to your door.

Yelp
If IKEA ever stops swedish meatballs, I will stage a personal protest in aisle B4, next to the fake succulents. You don't just eat the meatballs at IKEA you experience them. You take one bite and suddenly you're not in a concrete warehouse by the freeway you're in a warm chalet in Switzerland. There's a family there, and they care about you. Like really care. They're asking how you've been. They're inviting you to a traditional folk dance in the village square on Saturday and you're like, "Yes, Astrid, I'll be there. I'll bring the lingonberry jam." That's what these meatballs do. My daughter got the Dungleskoff that's the big bear with a tiny head I wasn't convinced until I accidentally used him as a pillow on the ride home. Dungelskoff is not just a plushie. He's a Scandinavian orthopedic miracle. Also I went in prepared to spend $1,000. I moved money into my checking account like I was buying a small yacht. But somehow... I furnished my entire gaming room for $200. I walked out with LED strips, a mini desk, a chair that spins, a mug, a mystery lamp, AND my dignity intact. But forget all that. Let's go back to the meatballs. Because IKEA is now my lunch spot. That's right. When I go to work, I'm clocking out for lunch and heading to IKEA like I'm on a side quest. I'll walk through the showroom, maybe sit on a couch, pretend I'm about to use the display toilet (IKEA, this is not a threat), and then bam downstairs for that steamy tray of meatball heaven with a side of jam. I'll be eating them like I'm back in the homeland. And yes, I'll be emotional.

Yelp
4 stars only bc I enjoy or enjoyED the IKEA experience.... Trying to shop brick and mortar vs online....Had lunch. BAD. Tossed 1/2 of it. Shopped only to find aisle ways stacked with merch , departments, temporarily walled off, & they no longer carried the quilted pillow protectors among other on my list items... Ended up down stairs with a chocolate bar in my cart. Left said cart went to the market and shopped .... Yum! Not so fast....cinnamon roll was meh. Bought some other stuff... MEH!!!!disappointed the princess cakes weren't available bc they are really good... maybe seasonal. But heres the deal the "Almondy" frozen "no name" dessert tasted like a bad dime store candy bar ... zero almond taste and topped with PEANUTS... huh? Funny thing is Im going back next week to buy a few furniture pieces.... Hope the place is in less disarray, the Princess Cakes are available....& I still enjoy the IKEA shopping experience... we'll see....

Yelp
So disappointed in the store and the customer service. I ordered a mattress set a date for pick up and paid (2 gift cards and a credit card). Order was placed on 6/23 for delivery on 6/29. On 6/28 I got an email that the order was canceled. 12 days later still no refund. At any rate, on July 1 (7/1-7/9) they began their MidSummer sale which includes free delivery on purchased over $300. I assumed that at some point before 7/9 the money would be returned. I spoke with a customer service agent (Deepak) on 7/1 telling him of the inconvenience. Initially he offered me free shipping and when I told him that there is a sitewide free shipping offer he apologized claiming he was not aware of that and offered 10% off the order (he stated I needed to show the chat transcript to a customer service agent after the item was delivered). On 7/8 my money was still not returned so I decided to go ahead and pay for the mattress again so I could at least get free delivery. And now it is out of stock for 2 weeks. Spent over an hour on chat with Ikea "customer service" and they were not helpful. I figured since the other agent was ready to offer a code for free shipping I could just do that. Tanya (the agent today) said there is no such ability neither the free delivery nor a 10% discount. She claimed that ikea has no coupon codes or vouchers. Funny because at checkout there is an option to enter a discount code. How hard would it be to give me a code worth the same amount as delivery? So basically the customer service agent I spoke with on 7/1 lied about having the ability to provide any sort of codes or Tanya is lying about not being able to provide codes. The website accepts discount codes. They fraudently took payment on an item before providing it, their customer service agent made fraudulent promises, and now I still have no mattress and their offer of "free shipping" is useless. The website says the mattress will be back in stock in 2 weeks. Since they have no problem taking money without having delivered an item I don't see why they can't do that now since I am willing to wait the 2 weeks for delivery.

Yelp
Ordered a bed with delivery. The geniuses there shipped us one of the two boxes needed to complete the bed. Somehow the "1 of 2" label was too confusing for them. I spoke with customer service and they promised to ship us the second box in 3-5 business days. (We're about 20 minutes away) Three business days later, we were concerned that we had not received any delivery notice. On the fourth day, my wife called and was told, "the part is too big to ship, and we had to come in and get it." Of course, we were supposed to read their minds on this. WTF? WE PAID FOR DELIVERY AND DIDN'T GET IT. No amount of explanation changed their mind, so now I'm off to make a trip, that I don't really have time for, to correct THEIR mistake. All for a sawdust and glue bed. If you can avoid IKEA, I encourage you to. The competition may be more expensive, but you will get a better quality product and better service.

Yelp
IKEA is always a 5-star experience. I go in for a lamp, get lost in the maze, and leave with a desk I didn't plan to buy and somehow built with an allen key and sheer determination. Trying to pronounce the product names is part of the fun. A lot of their items are made in Europe, which is hard to find at these prices these days. Pro tip: park on the second floor if you're planning a large purchase so you don't have to carry everything down in the elevator.

Yelp
This was my 1st time ever in a Ikea store, its true they have everything, you wander around looking at stuff, we didnt buy anything but got several ideas, it does seem a little time consuming, especially deciding on what you need from there displays & how to get it all

Yelp
[Food] - Swedish Meatballs ($9.99): This dish is the main reason why most people come to IKEA's restaurant, their renowned meatballs! Comes with yummy mash, savory gravy, and bland peas. I'd recommend adding butter to the peas and microwaving it to melt it a bit to make the peas more tasty. - Garlic Lemon Cod ($9.99): I never saw this before, so I think it may be a seasonal dish which is unfortunate because I quite liked this. It was a garlic lemon crusted cod that was cooked nicely with just the right amount of flavor as it wasn't too heavy. - Marinated Salmon ($4.49): Basically smoked salmon. Delicious with a squeeze of lemon! - Caramel Almond Cake ($2.29): To me it tastes like a really yummy cookie rather than a cake. - Hot dog ($0.75): Not bad for the price but I was told the veggie dog is better which I'll have to try next time. [Service] - Fast, helpful, friendly - Product returns line/wait does take a while [Ambiance] - Cafeteria style - Please do toss out your garbage, put trays and carts away after use! [Overall] - I usually only have a few small items to buy when I visit but I love coming to Ikea just for the food!

Yelp
I always had a fond place for Ikea in my heart since childhood in Germany some 50 years ago. Back then, they hosted sleepiver parties in their stores for kids and parents, and we would run the aisles like crazy. But today's experience just shattered that impression. And I am afraid it might be a systematic change at Ikea rather than an isolated incident. The story is simple enough. We bought a dishwasher just three days ago. Upon taking it home and opening the box, it was readily apparent that this dish washer was badly damaged (see pictures). We documented the damage and flaws in pictures, and initiated a return via their app. Disappointing, yes. And a hassle due to our long drive, but it shouldn't be a big deal, right? So today, we took the dishwasher back to returns. Upon inspection, the clerk said they wouldn't take it as we could only return within 48 hours and it was more than that now (on their wall it says 180 days - see picture). We showed the electronic return confirmation from the previous day (i.e. within her 48 hours), but she said it wasnt the right kind of report. We asked for the manager, and now there was the suggestion that we may have damaged or even swapped the unit. As their people check incoming inventory and this couldnt possibly be. I then noticed and pointed out that the unit's manufacturers serial number matched the serial number on the shipping box. Clearly the same unit we had purchased at the same store just three days earlier. That didn't convince her either and we were told that all their units have the same serial number! Ultimately a next level manager was called in. I took the dishwasher out of the box, pointing out a corroded clip. How could we have done that in three days? But no luck. Second level manager would not accept a return now. We would have to take it back with is and they would have to start an investigation. Our 2 hour drive and the fact it was raining (we have a pickup truck so it would get wet) didn't matter. I can see a clerk having a bad day. But two managers up and the same result? That sadly seems systemic to me. I operate a business myself. If someone claimed a multiple defect return after just a few days and it's well documented, what would I do? Such a flawed product return would be embarrassing enough. Of course, the well.documented return would be accepted on the spot! So, what to do? We ultimately just left the dishwasher there, over the managers objection. She called it abandonment. But I say no. We left it there for Ikea's 'inspection'. And if someone at Ikea should read this, please check the units serial number against the shipping box, please check our receipt. You sold us a unit with multiple defects three days ago. And your managers all refused to do the right thing. See the attached pictures and our receipt for documentation If you care about your customers at all, you should fix this situation and apologize. But more importantly, something badly needs fixing in Ikea and the way you train your managers. I would hope that at some future time my family and I can be fond of Ikea again.

Yelp
It was the worst experience I've ever had returning an item at this location. I waited for 2 hours just to return a single unopened item, even though I had the original receipt and credit card with me. When I finally reached the counter, the customer service representative, Cristy, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, she made the situation worse and even threatened to call security simply because I asked if there was a faster process for small returns. The manager on duty was no better--also rude and dismissive. This store desperately needs to train its staff on how to treat customers with respect and professionalism. Returning an unopened item with a receipt should not take 2 hours, and no customer should be treated this way.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Christy from the returns department was very unhelpful and rude!! She was giving me a hard time with my return when I was well within the return period. I have been shopping at this Ikea location and have never encountered an issue. Another customer was trying to help after overhearing Christy decline my return and Christy was rude to him as well. Christy should not be working in customer service at all. She does not help customers, does not smile, and does not speak respectfully. Her tone is demeaning and passive aggressive. Luckily, another employee stepped in and helped me with my return (since there were no issues to begin with)

Yelp
Been buying from this location ever since my husband and I moved here from San Diego. We made a mistake by buying shelves with the assembly service from Taskrabbit. Taskrabbit installers cancelled on us fve times and counting. Customer service of Ikea cannot do anything. No point offering this service if you cannot guarantee the fulfilment of the service.

Yelp
4/2/24 I came here mainly for food but also to check out for a potential new desk. The selections weren't as good as before. Seems like IKEA is running out of ideas. And inflation made everything so expensive despite the so-so quality of goods. -1.5 I got the Swedish meatballs today, 8 meatballs ($9.99). It came with mashed potato, peas that were obviously frozen, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Out of everything on it, the meatball was obviously the best. Back then, there were veggies on the plate but now they changed it to pain peas. $10 for 8 meatballs was not worth it. Make sure to get IKEA membership (free) to get some discounts. -.5 I also got the garlic bread (~$1 each). It was a pretty thick bread and quite good. Overall, IKEA is a great place to start your furniture shopping if you just moved to the area. However, it was not like how it used to be. If you ever go to IKEA and are hungry after shopping, order the Swedish meatball and garlic bread.

Yelp
It's always an adventure when visiting this store. There are some great finds in the different departments that you didn't even know you needed! The staff is always Friendly and helpful. As big as the store is, once you learn the shortcuts navigating the labyrinth is easy. There's always those Swedish meatballs as a reward too! This last visit we encountered two team members that went beyond the call of duty for us. The patience and wonderful attitudes of front cashier Ash and Pick-up department team member Romano are worth noting. Both went out of their way answering our questions and concerns of certain products. Keep up the Great work hiring Department!

Yelp
Best food ever the meatballs were amazing. Also the Chicken tenders were juicy. The furniture is nice I have a lot of that stuff and it's very fun to build. If I could 10 stars but it's only up to 5.

Yelp
it's been a while since i've been inside an IKEA. I went with my partner to check out the food court for nostalgia's sake and i was surprised to see that how packed it was with families. i didn't remember it to be so busy like this when i was younger! anyway the food was all very reasonably priced. my salmon salad was $10 and i saw the dessert cake slices were between $2.50-$5 only (they had a lot of options too! despite the line being long, it move rather quickly. i was looking for the dessert marzipan blocks that i'd snag as a kid but i couldn't find it at all there, not even near the dessert area in the downstairs check out area.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon and to my surprise it was busy especially in the restaurant. Meatball meal was 50%, possibly a promotion for the month? You can only get free tea/coffee with your membership in this area, and it's in a glass cup, no to go. They had a rainbow cake which I've never seen before so of course I bought it. It was a huge disappointment. The cake was very sweet since there were overly sweet layers of frosting and the cake itself wasn't moist. I didn't want to finish the cake and who can say no to a cake?! I grabbed a few things which they had in stock but was disappointed by the plant section since it was pretty small compared to other IKEA I've been to. The washrooms were cleanish unlike other IKEA I've been to. The "As Is" section wasn't that cheap, still pricey so no bargains.

Yelp
Last labor day, my friend and I furniture shopped at IKEA and got food at their cafe. We spent $30 at the cafe, and because we paid with her family card, she got $30 off her furniture that day. Pretty cool promotion event. Each time I go to IKEA's cafe, I take a look at the NY Cheesecake... dreaming of when I will finally decide to order it. I went to the cafe this time with my ex-crush, now boyfriend, and decided to try the IKEA dessert together... not worth it. Too sweet. I have had a better frozen Cheesecake box from Safeway. Goodbye cheesecake from IKEA dreams.

Yelp
IKEA is well known for their products, which I personally love, but right now I want to let know about their plants. I am a plant lover and love to see when stores have a small selection of my green leafed friends. IKEA has an amazing variety for not being a nursery or garden center. I definitely recommend checking it out. Plus, the Swedish Meatballs are a great snack!

Yelp
The selection at Ikea isn't as good as before. Not only that but their staff on the showcase room is limited now and some of them are not as friendly. A lot of their Ikea items are out of stock and has been for a long period of time, which I can't understand why. I also feel the place isn't as clean as before and when you go into the section where they sell chairs, it's literally a mess. One good note, is that their cashiers are still very nice and helpful, which I appreciate. When it comes to their food court, they are still busy. However, i feel their meatballs aren't as good as before. I was i disappointed to learn that they don't have the swedish pancakes anymore, so don't waste your drive here, if you are craving their swedish pancakes.

Yelp
Decided to stop by the Ikea cafeteria for a quick dinner. Food was great for a quick bite! And felt sort of healthy due to all the veggies. Swedish meatball meal: 4.5/5 Meatballs were yummy, posted with mash potato and green beans. I'm not a big fan of the jam it came with but my partner loves it! So just a preference thing. Salmon meal: 4/5 Salmon was a bit small but it was good. Paired with some squash, carrots, and a meatball. Mac n cheese: 4.5/5 Staffs were very friendly while serving the food and during checkout! Felt so welcomed!

Yelp
Poor service. Both elevators out of order. Escalator out of order. Food service out of items.

Yelp
I dunno why but I had this craving for ikea meatballs, and decided to go after being in the area. Before I jump into the food review, I gotta say, the people watching in Ikea is top notch. Why people bring their kids to a place with so many breakable items will forever be something I wonder. The couples disagreeing, the amount of disgust and side eyes is hilarious. It's like a home decor VPR. Anyways, back to the food... I remember this being so much better. The meatballs were ok but just didn't hit this time around. Mashed potatoes and peas were cool. The Texas toast wasnt bad but the Mac n cheese lacked salt. I think for all the food I got under $16 was filling but I wish I could've gotten these cals back. I scratched the food itch for nostalgia but I'll stick to just shopping for home decor and frustrating furniture builds

Yelp
I always find IKEA utterly exhausting. But like a *****, I keep going back. After this time, I feel like I'd rather spend top dollar at somewhere like Crate and Barrel than endure another trip to IKEA. After spending approximately 3 hours making my way through the maze of showrooms, I thought I'd treat my exhausted, hungry self to the famous Swedish meatballs for dinner. But they were out of gravy and jam, making for a virtually flavorless meal. Then, I finally manage to find and collect most of my items and try to find a checkout with an actual human. Nope, it's all self-checkout now. I did not spend 18 years in school to be a checkout clerk, but apparently the price of cheap home decor is absolutely no customer service. I did my best to figure out how to use a scanner while screens everywhere flashed MONITORING IN PROGRESS. Despite my best efforts, apparently I missed something, because I was forced to endure an audit and lecture by the very slow, very methodical, lone IKEA checkout employee who rescanned my items, slowly. My feet ached, my back ached, my neck ached. I did not care how much I paid at that point. I just wanted to cry and I wanted to go home. A few days later, blessedly at home, I finally had the energy to unpack my shopping bags and start putting my new things away. Only to discover that the 3 sticky labels on each and every bin and lid I'd bought (about 2 dozen or so; I lost count, as evidenced by the scanner) could not easily be removed. In fact, they could not be removed without great difficulty -- painstaking scraping with a tool that Martha Stewart herself designed for probably just this purpose. I already ***** myself for buying so much **** plastic and subjecting myself to a 4.5 hour endurance test at IKEA. Now I **** myself for not returning every single one of those sticker-encrusted plastic bins. I've tried to order online before and failed. (It's just as well. I found something I liked better elsewhere.) But I will never, if I can help it, set foot in IKEA again. It's painfully clear they don't give a **** about their customers. (And now, my earnest review is being flagged for profanity by IKEA. Let's see how many words I have to censor before it will let me publish. Still no? OK, fine. I'll publish it on Yelp. Minus one more star.)

Yelp
The food court always delicious & great winter sales. Always find something new to buy. A Hawaii store/ please. Also though I was looking for a power bank, glad they recalled what they previously stocked .. maybe a new substitute soon (?).

Yelp
I like the click and collect concept, but there's almost never anyone there, ready to get your order, even though they make you schedule your pick up time. If I have to schedule a pick up time, I expect someone to be there to give me my order. The selection is pretty good, but they were out of three or four things once we got there, things that were marked as in stock in the app, that I did not add to the click and collect, figuring we could just pick them up quick in the marketplace. Sadly, they were out of all of those items. Prices are always good. The cafe was PACKED and the line moved way too slow, and they really should have had both sides open (the line extended back into the store) I had the chicken strips and chips, the chips were subpar and the chicken was mostly salty breading. Partner loved the meatballs though. Love the pear soda though. Wish they still sold it in six packs of cans in the grocery area.

Yelp
An update. Ikea Family rewards has changed. For birthdays, they give you $10 discount on any purchase but no more free soft serve ice cream bummer. They do give you a free slice of cake with entree purchase at the Ikea restaurant. Now let's celebrate the fact that they have cones back for the soft serve. We were able to do our walk with our cone and peruse the showroom floor. Albeit, we didn't have time to really peruse everything, as we were specifically there for a few items. We were able to pay for our items at self check out but you do have to call for a staff member if you're using a discount coupon. Poor staff member was getting chewed out by a customer. I felt pretty bad for him and he didn't have anything to do with his complaint. Anyways, Ikea is always nice for your starter furniture or items you use on the daily that you're good to replace every so often or not so often. We have cups and plates we still use today! So don't knock it out but avoid on the weekends or during the season of moving which typically is during the summer when new college students are moving into their apartments. Definitely check them out!

I always come to this IKEA whenever I am seeking new IKEA furniture. I recommend coming here if you're looking for any new furniture, decor, etc.!

Yelp
This place oddly gets a not the best rap on Yelp, I think it's totally fine. Staff are friendly, food is good, overall it's DIY and choose your own adventure. It could have more maps coming in digitized in a screen at the entrances so it's easier to find where you want to go to rather than walking in 2 gigantic circle mazes.
