The large, well-maintained public waterfront is an undiscovered gem for all! Although many years old, IKEA maintains the space immaculately! No purchase required, ample free parking and open to the public, I walk the dog there often (on leash only mostly). Thanks, IKEA!

The staff are friendly, but the store is super big. It’s hard to find my way around. I had to ask many people for directions. It also took me a whole morning from Manhattan to shop at this IKEA. It’s also hard to order just a few things on time or wait for their delivery. At least I get to see how it’s like. Probably will avoid going there next time.

Honestly, IKEA is my happy place, and I take my husband and daughter here to shop, look around, dream, and eat at the restaurant. We always have a cozy time as a family together at IKEA. On this visit, we only came to get a light pink duvet for my daughter for only $14.99. Such a good deal! At the restaurant, I usually order the kids' meal size, which is 4 meatballs with mashed potatoes, sweet green peas, brown gravy, and cranberry sauce. It's just the right portion size for me. My husband gets the full 8 meatball plate. We enjoy the view and always get one free coffee or tea with our Ikea Family Card.

It was a pleasant surprise! I was hungry and heard about the meatballs…it was okay but I would definitely go back to the cafeteria for the calm vibe that it has in the morning! You can do some casual reading.

30 minutes in a canteen queue with only 1 person at the cashier!! Saturday lunchtime. Tried to call to complain. Your waiting time in the call queue is 10 minutes. Welcome to the worsts ikea store on the planet. We just wipe ourselves on customers

The store was well-stocked, and I found everything I needed, including practical household items like the UTURNSING stainless steel vacuum flask and some tasty snacks, such as the frozen milk chocolate bar. The store’s layout made it easy to browse, and I appreciated the variety of affordable, functional products. The transaction was quick, and I left with a good mix of essentials and treats, like the six-pack cinnamon buns, which were a delightful surprise. The only suggestion I have is to add more signs for faster navigation, but overall, IKEA provided a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience.

HERG A ĎURGE ÖLL 🧹 Ikea is a fantastic adventure for anyone with a good heart and a love of rich designs. The dutch have work unbelievably hard to craft an elegant experience that absolutely deserves stars (would give it 6 honestly) They have a community center for kids if you would like to shop without them. They also have their own cafeteria which is quite remarkable. I like meatballs and they treated me with grace here. Go check our Ikea if you have the time. Many cultures of people from all over come to pay their respects here and you can see why from how safe everything feels. Thanks and Im happy to report that i’ll be back! Âuŵa! THANKS ☄️

From 42nd St subway, walk or take the M42 bus (free xfer) to get to the west side pier. Read about the free ferry on weekends, schedule runs til 9/1/24. The views were really the highlight. Easy walk from the ferry dock to IKEA. The restaurant has outdoor views which was nice. Menu is same as other locations. No decaf coffee (I usually make it iced). Store area is not as large as the Long Island location. The showroom had a lot of covered sections. At 5:30pm, the snack shop had almost nothing available of food/drinks- no fountain drinks, even water. Vending machine was broken too. Restrooms need better maintenance. Took the last ferry and the line wasn't bad. Views were nicer with the sun going down and air was cooler.

Free ferry on the weekend make sure to check their schedule. It was a nice ride from manhattan and into Brooklyn directly in front of ikea parking lot. There is a play land section if your kids want to hangout there instead of shopping with you for 30 minutes. There is also a food court upstairs. Meatballs chicken tenders French fries Mac and cheese salmon chocolate cake. Very kids and adult friendly. You order your food and then pay. Then find yourself a seat. There might be a wait during the weekend if you drop by during lunch hours but there are plenty of seatings. IKEA has a lot of furnitures and home display and DIY items. Very affordable items and cool to just browse around on a cold day. After check out there is also hot dog of $1! Love their meatballs as always with the gravy and lingonberry jam.

It's IKEA. You get what you pay for. It's for those who are transitioning and only need this piece of furniture for a year or two. I came here for a bed for a toddler, so we aren't going to use it for long. Some of the beds that are less than $100 were very poorly made. It is solid wood, but without varnish or finishing, it will not last very long. The IKEA staff varies from being not helpful at all to very helpful. YMMV. We had lunch there out of convenience. It is cafeteria style. The wait on line was ridiculous because they only had one lane open. It took me 30 min to order in a cafeteria. The food was not as bad as it could have been. I got the swedish meatballs, salmon and pulled pork. The salmon was actually quite good and the tot ate the whole fillet. The fries were surprisingly crisp as well.

OMG! The place was designed well! There is a flow and even shortcuts to help you navigate this "beast" of a store. Huge it is and I do not think you can see it all in one day! Don't go with expectations of high-end furniture! This is not Raymour and Flannigan! Instead think of innovation and lots of well-priced items for kitchen, bathroom and living room! The showrooms give you ideas and inspiration! I like how the simple yet innovative ideas are created into products for the home or apartment! These are not long term furniture or furnishings but great if you are looking to decorate at a good price and then switch out the furniture because the flimsiness can wear out and because you can at affordable prices without feeling the guilt! Some well built furniture got phased out like old wooden entertainment centers that lasted forever but unfortunately the standard tv sizes all changed and could no longer fit the new televisions. The IKEA products are great when you don't need long term furniture as styles also change. There are also lots of YouTube hacks of IKEA furniture! There is a cafe and a market place where you can buy food and eat using kiosks to order! A huge self-service area is structured to get the packaged furniture and a section to checkout! IKEA has a free weekend ferry! They must have done away with the free shuttle because I didn't see it rolling around but took the bus in. Various transportation options allow you to visit from different boroughs without a car! Due to long lines, I hear weekends are extremely stressful at the checkout! Allow for extra time!

Bring a water bottle bec it does get hot under the sun. We got off and an easy walk through the parking lot and we were there. To the restaurant first on the upper floor. Seating is more spread out, with some outdoor views which was nice. Menu is same as other locations. No decaf coffee (I usually make it iced). Store area is not as large as the Long Island location. The showroom had a lot of covered sections so wasn't a good day for that so just went downstairs to the marketplace. Had to think of how much we were buying bec we will be taking the train home. I was ready with a few reusable bags but got a nice one to put cushions which I got. Planned to get to the dock earlier after seeing a long line before but wanted to get a drink from the snack shop. At 5:30pm, they had almost nothing available for food/drinks- no fountain drinks or water. Vending machine was broken too. Restrooms need better maintenance. Took the last ferry and the line wasn't bad. Views were nicer with the sun going down and air was cooler.

I enjoyed this location better than the Hicksville Long Island due to the sheer size, easier parking and just the overall friendliness of the staff and patron. Even better is nearby Red hook there are so many good restaurants to visit after a day of shopping. I especially like the cafeteria where there is a Clear view of Manhattan.

When we went on a Sunday afternoon it was not that busy. There are lots of options, prices have increased, but that is life these days. We didn't buy anything but it was worth a look.

I am not a so called department store shopper as I must admit I love online shopping. However I like on occasion to go to IKEA. I love the style of the furniture, interior design and kitchen/bathroom items. etc. I purchased pillows, glasses, plates, and candles all under 100 bucks. Plus enjoyed the Swedish cafe.

It's an IKEA! Only difference is this one is in Red Hook BRKLN, and has a view of the Manhattan skyline from the bistro. I brought my laptop to get some things done using their free WiFi. Sat on a cushy couch in the cafe lobby sipping my free endless teas as an IKEA family card member. Had the lemon cod, mashed potatoes with gravy and peas. When I finished eating, I did a little shopping. Inexpensive kitchen and bedding, art, candles, mirrors, plants to peruse. Same as any other store. The model kitchens are my favorites, always Imagining which styles I'd put in my next home. After day dreaming a bit, I finished the outing with a warm cinnamon bun from the cafe by the checkouts. I walked out to catch the B57 which was serendipitously waiting right out front, and will take me to steps from my door. I'll be back!

Shopping at Ikea is always fun even sometimes I was lost and could not find what I was looking for. If you lucky enough to find staff who can help you out. Bringing friends is a good idea to keep your company. Cashier is not much of welcome but totally understand of boring job. Ice cream at cafeteria is yummy and must try. I enjoy going to Ikea one in a blue moon because of terrible traffic on BQE. If I have to buy big furniture, I rather pay for shipping and extra.

I still love Ikea, but this is STILL the worst. The merchandise in this store is usually a mess. Most of the people who work here are, if not mean, simply could care less about helping. Check out is always a nightmare, with long lines and the self-checkout usually closed. And the food is consistently bad. I love the meatballs at all other Ikeas, but here they are tiny, dried up, the gravy is just brown water, and it's served on a tiny paper plate. And it's about $12!! Don't opt for the hot dogs either. Usually they are cold and dry. All around, this is an awful IKEA.

Great place with great prices!!! Just be careful because the store beauty. It will have you lost for hours walking through. That's why they have a cafe all that walk gets you hungry They have great selections for every section of the house. The customer service is more of self service but when you do find someone they are willing and able to help.

IKEA - Also know that they invite only some customers to their special "sneak preview special events" at their studio space in Manhattan. One star - recent orders were delayed, others unavailable at the store. I'm still trying to complete my Ikea kitchen, they're out of stock of some of the matching pieces I need. I sign up for email alerts, and they reply I need to sign up again because they're still out of stock. Ikea is too difficult to deal with quite honestly.

I might be the only person who has never stepped foot into an IKEA? Well, that all changed when I decided to take the hour drive to the oh so popular conglomerate on Saturday (March 4) I didn't have anything in mind to purchase but I had heard folks rave about the Swedish meatballs so I went with the intention to buy those and see if they were worthwhile. The store is massive but it is kept clean. For the most part, items were in their right place and things were in order despite its busyness. In a store as big and busy as IKEA, it was hard to find a worker on the floor and enough open cashier registers. The 15 items or less lines were cordoned off and closed. I waited in line for about 20 mins to purchase three chocolate bars and cookies. Ridiculous. Finally, it was time to experience the star of the show - Swedish meatballs. I walked up to the kiosk to order and the meatballs were coming up as unavailable (gray) despite watching a worker fill a cup of them, who continued to tell me yes, gray means they are out of it. I was then told the next floor up has food as well and I can order there. Upstairs is a whole bistro with an array of food choices, including cake. After encountering another long line and waiting for 30 mins before I even got to the front, meatballs with the cranberry and gravy, fries and hot dog were secured. Weird that IKEA doesn't have to-go containers so I had to do it Party Style - a paper plate as a cover. The meatballs are good ... with the cranberry and gravy. It needs the accoutrements otherwise the meatballs are pretty mediocre. The fries were my favorite of the food items but I love fries so I might have a bias there. The hot dog was tiny (probably three bites) and nothing to write home about. I highly doubt I'll return to IKEA unless I need to purchase something substantial. But even then, IDK if IKEA would first come to mind.

This might be the worst managed ikea in the world. Nothing works. Mess everywhere. Restaurant food is subpar. Menu screens broken. No silver ware. No mashed potato. No fountain drinks. No glasses. They give you a plastic spoon to eat your meatballs. And a paper cup for coffee. No water to drink.

The prices are reasonable but the wait to pay and the wait to ship are excruciating...excruciatingly slow. We checked out after waiting 30 minutes to pay. That was 6:48 pm. It is now 7:30 pm and the "Shipping " line has helped 3 sets of people in 50 minutes. The photo I will post will show you that the desk was UNSTAFFED for 15 minutes as we waited. Everyone was taking pictures to document the poor customer service they have had.

*PSA THIS IS A FOOD RATING AND REVIEW* As a kid my mom and dad whenever we went to ikea I always got their meatballs because they were just sooo good especially the sauce ! And I had a few times as a teen and an adult. But this time I went I was so disappointed the meatballs tasted like they were microwaved for way too long. Some soft some hard the sauce was ok but tasted like a Can of soup that expired . The Mac n cheese was edible but still ehhhhhh. I'm just writing a review cause I hope ikea can step up their game and do a quality check in their stores and bring back better food like they used to have !

IKEA is always a great place to go to find a large selection of items and where customers can purchase all types of home goods. This specific IKEA is in the Redhook section of Brooklyn. IKEA has more than one floor and has numerous sections full of household goodies. IKEA is a spacious store and includes the following areas: Kitchen & Appliances /Tableware Furniture/ Beds / Baby Furniture /Outdoor Furniture Home Decor / Rugs / Plants Home Electronics Lighting / Lighting Fixtures Laundry & Cleaning Bathroom Items Home Improvement, etc. Goods are at various and at affordable prices. I have been able to purchase bathroom mats/rugs, table placement settings, colorful/vibrant/festive napkins, a jumbo measuring glass, potholders, gorgeous wine glasses, etc. IKEA has a little bit of everything and my favorites are the Model Bedroom./ Kitchen / Dining Rooms set-up and displayed. The Visuals Department has done a good job with showcasing all of tbe furniture, decor, appliamces, etc. IKEA alao has a fantastic Cafeteria-Style / Food Sectoon on the upper floor that has various types.of food options. IKEA is known for and has great-tasting meatballs! Store Hours of Operation - Mon.-Sun. 10am-9pm. IKEA is accessible via the B57 or the B61 Bus. There is free Ferry Service on the Saturday & Sunday (nywaterway.com). There is lots of Parking.

This is a BIG store with a LOT of options. You walk thru the premises in a flowing manner, drifting from one environment to another until you have no idea where the entrances and exits are. I always end up struggling to find the exit, but I don't mind because it is a fun place to visit. I also like that they arrange some of the furniture as if it is someone's bedroom or kitchen et cetera, and you get a look at how things might really be in someone's house. Some of the merchandise is good, some of it is not, and mostly the prices are low. Ikea is not perfect, but it is still my go-to place for budget priced furniture.

Don't do Click & Collect. Was the only person there and the only person "in line" according to the app. After waiting for 40 minutes I started chasing down random IKEA employees in the parking lot for help Had to yell through a fence to get someone's attention. Only then did I get my items. I don't think they would have ever come out to give them to me otherwise.

I've actually been waiting in line for almost 2 hours for the delivery line even though there was only one party in front of us when we got here. It seems there is nobody working at the kiosk and no clear directions given. Sadly I need to get my things delivered but I have no other options than to just keep waiting and hope they eventually serve us. Thinking this may be the last time I ever come to an Ikea.

Infind this Ikea to be great. It always comes in habdy for any room renovation that i need. This visit i was looking for a particular item that is placed underneath a mattress to keep it from sinking. Upon arriving i immediately went to an employee who was able to assist me quickly. Of the top of their head they told me where the item was located, the exact aisle and everything. Upon walking there i saw the item right away and went to stand in line. The cashier linetook a while. I was expecting tit to move fast as it was the express 15 items or less self service line. It took some time even with an employee assisting the customers in front of me on line. Once I got to the registwr it went very quickly. Overall if you are able to find someone who can assist you, it makes the trip so much easier to handle.

2 NEGATIVE STARS!!!! Surprise surprise...Ikea did not post my review on their website, despite posting it at least 2x and now a 3rd time tonight. Avoid the Hemnes daybed at all cost!!!

While this is not a personal ideal location by any means (this has turned into a two hour trip from home), unfortunately this IKEA doesn't make up for it in service either. I don't necessarily blame the employees as much as the store set up. The store is way too big and spread out without any clear direction to understand where you're supposed to go. I had an order pick up, which for some reason I had to claim a parking spot for. Upon receiving the confirmation text, once I checked in, I needed to go to a place called "beige gate." I asked two employees and one Park attendant, and all them look like I had four heads. Turns out I was supposed to go to the parking lot on the bottom floor for curbside pick up. I can understand why the order went down since I had to select that I brought a car for some reason, but the fact that nobody knew what location I was talking about was a little jarring. I wanted to be able to browse around, but between all the time spent on waiting and figuring out where I was supposed to go, I had no time to. I'm not sure how this IKEA is doing businesswise, considering it's the one of the only ones in New York City at the moment, but they're probably losing a lot of potential customers from people experiencing the same thing, as I can see with these other reviews. To think I came all this way to avoid a $5 shipping fee. HA!!! I wasted a good chunk of change in time. Just pay the shipping fee and avoid this store at all costs.

If I could give a place zero stars, I would. Ikea needs to stop outsourcing their help center customer support via phone. The people on the phone were completely incompetent, incoherent, and downright rude with absolutely zero social skills. They constantly interrupted, were irritable in tone, and were not helpful - especially in their "resolution" department. Ikea needs to "resolve" their abysmal customer service portal and their insufferable bottlenecks. I ordered a Brimnes closet that seemed relatively intuitive and easy to order online, and it clearly stated via email that the delivery was set for January 15 8am-9pm. Come 8pm, I didn't hear a word from Ikea nor receive any email communication. I had to call Ikea myself only to find out that they cancelled my order. I hired a Task Rabbit and everything according to their appointed delivery date. I don't want to have to haul my ass all the way to the Brooklyn or Queens Ikea from Manhattan in order to sort out an online order! Needless to say, this left an extremely negative experience behind, and I will be ordering elsewhere even if an item is more expensive. NEVER AGAIN.

IKEA should be pronounced "I kill ya." Hate to say but this store has definitely nearly killed me. Against my better judgement, I went back to this store to buy the closet that caught my eye during my last visit. After getting my stuff, the check out lines were long and slow because only 2 registers were opened. Express checkout were just as bad. After surviving the checkout and lugging it home, I thought my frustrations would be over but more problems developed after a few fasteners broke upon screwing them in. The part were made of plastic now instead of metal as in the past. Going back to IKEA, I got my replacement parts the next day with no problem at the store; seems like they expect these situations a lot. I guess asking for replacement parts is a daily thing for IKEA. Even though getting replacement parts was easy, the time and gas wasted dealing with traffic and getting back having to finish my giant puzzle really irked me.... more like "kill me!"

Returned an item 3 weeks ago and still trying to get the refund. Called ikea 7 times, still no response. They can't even give me the phone number to the store so I can talk with someone who might have an inkling as to what the problem is. Not to mention the furniture which used to be easy to put together is now a nightmare. You might as well add in the cost to have it put together because chances are you won't be able to do it yourself.

Out of everything. Very hard to find anything. Staff is unpleasant and meatballs were really greasy and mushy. Couldn't identify what meat it is supposed to be. If you go when it's not busy and have a lot of patience maybe you can get some good stuff. It's not all awful but I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Just left there! Cashier's need coaching and more training! My mom and I walked up to the register to check out! As we were approaching the register another cashier who was talking to our cashier saw our cart and ran off! We spoke to our cashier she looked at us and never responded! She had a very angry look on her face was not pleasant at all! As for someone who had been in customer service over 25 years! This bad bedside behavior and unprofessionalism is unacceptable! Never going back!

Much regret returning to this store. All three escalators out of service, just like my last visit 4 months ago. Soda fountain still not working just like previous visit. Customer service non existent in the store, merchandise on floor and shelves a mess, closed registers and long (like 20 minutes) lines.

Lost some of its magic. Or maybe it is just me. I like Ikea, and once a year or more must come for a day. For storage solutions they really have amazing things. Also some things they make are perfect for some of my needs. Food: I learned to eat before and after...

I got shafted at the store by 1 of the 4 pieces of my sofa purchase missing. Human mistake and understandable, and what should have been a pretty straightforward issue to rectify. However, the total lack of effort for Brooklyn Ikea to reach out to me has been really frustrating. Why, I have no idea. But I received one missed call and one email mid November, and nothing since, despite repeated attempts at following up with them.

Ikea is always fun to walk around and get inspired and look for ideas to update your home or apartment. The line to get in the store looks long as it snakes into the parking lot,, but it moves super duper quick.. While in the office furniture department, staff member, Joseph was very helpful. Plenty of items on sale. My favorite department is the live plants section and wall art.

Your staff have no idea what they are doing at the store. Register has an option Afterpay, but staff have no idea what does it mean or how to use it. They said that I have to apply for that. Ok fine. I did it what's next. If this is option ONLY for online order it shouldn't be listed as an accepted payment option on the register. She asked me "maybe you have cash" I don't mean that this is represent poor cognitive abilities, considering that I wanna pay in parts and not in full, and obviously if I have money anywhere it would be on my bank card. So she decided to completely ignore my question and tell me that she knows exactly what she is doing[No she's not at all] and there is nothing else she can offer to me. This is terrible service and low quality employees. Reconsider hiring people who care and smart

My hunny and I went to Ikea sorta early to return some closet shelves. We got here around 10:30ish and lined up outside on the return line. I was bummed when I saw a lot of people waiting on line because I wanted to get in and out as quick as possible. Much to my surprise the line moved pretty swiftly which worked in our favor. Only a few people were allowed inside. We were given tickets with numbers and directions on where to go once inside. Once you go to the first floor you're directed to walk towards your left and wait on another line. There's social distance decals on the floor to separate yourself from other customers. IKEA is setup like a maze which caused me to have a slight panic attack because I didn't think I'd make it out with all of the loops and turns we had to make just to get back to the Marketplace or Main Level. Overall the return process wasn't bad. I love that you're allowed 365 days to change your mind about an open or unopened product. Unfortunately for the people waiting downstairs they may have a longer wait because there's only three employees working in the return area.

My most recent visit to Ikea, we decided to stop by the cafe to enjoy some lunch. I been a few times but, it was closed because of COVID. The cafe didn't have many options as before but, they had chicken tenders. I love chicken tenders! These were crispy and white meat chicken. I liked that these weren't squishy meat like chicken nuggets from fast food restaurants. However, the tenders were a bit dry. The tenders usually come with fries and broccoli but, I like my broccoli on the crispy side. These were over-steamed to the point of being limped and squishy. My friend ordered Swedish meatballs and enjoyed them. They noted that the meatball looked like they were smaller than they remembered. We also got two slices of apple cake that was delicious and tasty. It had a strong cinnamon and apple taste and it wasn't overly sweet. The food was yummy and at a great price. The food quality is on par to frozen and pre-made food. I don't think anything here is prepared and made from scratch. However, most of the staff here were sour and plain rude. The Asian lady was very nice and wished everyone a good day. The rest of the staff should follow her approach to customer service.

Ikea, home of the swedish meatballs and swedish ready-to-assemble furnitures. Very large and fill with things that makes you want to stay there for hours browsing oohhing and ahhhing. I came here on 11/23 to look in the kitchen department as hubby & I want to redo our kitchen. We looked at many sinks (I never knew there were tiny sinks, how can people wash their dishes in that tiny space?). We also looked at bathrooms (need new hooks or organizational shelves). We came again 12/17 to help a friend find a tv stand in the 'As Is' section (we helped them move during the snowstorm 12/16). We are planning to go again this weekend (sunday 1/3) because my brother-in-law moved downstairs to another room and need dressers. Then, hubby&I can finally tackled on our kitchen project when we were browsing for new sinks and countertops last time. Bathrooms are usually always clean here which is a plus after you are walking around for hours browsing.

Now this is what I remember about IKEA. If you read my review for the Queens location, you'll understand. So great to walk the rooms and see things out together. Was able to find several nightstands and kitchen goods. Their cafe was more extensive with ample seating.

So I think the overall consensus on this place has been established lol but why not add another opinion to the bunch? So, IKEA in itself is a little frustrating to shop at. We don't own much IKEA furniture, we mostly shop at Ashley's, but we wanted to save money on a dresser (ended up NOT getting one from here but one from Amazon instead) and honestly the furniture is just okay. If you're on a budget, you can shop here and DIY some gorgeous furniture, but don't expect to buy and simply have to build a beautiful piece. The furniture is humble and simple. Not too many bells and whistles. On to the food! It was and is 100% PURE HYPE. All of these YouTubers completely hyped their food up for no reason. Two things popped in my head while eating: School cafeteria and Hospital. I kid you not! The platter you see before you also came to a whopping $50, which I personally thought was a little steep for bland food that was made with no love. Eat at your own risk. We certainly will. Eh on the furniture, Zero stamps on the food. I might come back for a simple storage cabinet or some of the children's rooms items or even some kitchen essentials. DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE FOOD LOL.

My husband and I love the food at IKEA. It was decent with reasonable price and great portion. Our favorites were the hamburger set and the grilled salmon & veggies. However, this location of IKEA was not the best choice to visit due to bad maintenance and poor customer service. We tried to find a sofa which showed as available at Red Hook location but the staff insisted they didn't have.

However cheap it may seem - it's never worth it. Customer service is a nightmare. I picked up one wrong item (they had a tiny black dot for ad different color not in the show room) and it was ridiculous to try to get it returned. Called four times, transferred three times (even got transferred back once and then hung up on), got contradictory answers, waited 30 minutes on "support" chat (and with three different reps, two of which bailed on the chat), and finally, got hold of a customer rep who filed a "case", which will take 5 - 7 business days for a response. I would have paid the cost of the shelf to avoid going through this. It shouldn't be this hard. Pay your customer support reps more and invest in service!

Had a list of items that I need for the home, so decided to walk in to the store rather than online. Walking around this circular maze at Ikea gets me dizzy, tired, and frustrated. It's not easy finding items in this massive place, staff on the floor were pretty helpful in locating the items though. What got to me was the at the check out point. I did not use self serve, rather I stood on the line for the cashier to scan my purchases. I questioned the Cashier on one of the items since the scanned price is not the same as what was on the sticky tag advertised. She told me to run upstairs and take of picture of the tag. Why? What for? As a sales representative of Ikea, all you had to do was request a manager to look through the online system to verify the price. Why make a customer run up two flights of stairs, going through the maze of merchandise just to take a picture of the price tag. It's pointless, and I still ended up purchasing the product at a marked up price.

I love IKEA but the Brooklyn location has gone downhill. The bistro staff are among the rudest I have ever encountered. Even with minimal interaction since you place your order on a kiosk they can't seem to manage a human level of courtesy. I got my food and the guy just stared when I said thank you. He then rolled his eyes. Haven't a clue why since all I did was take what he handed me and said thank you. This was after a rude cashier on the checkout. All the customers were wondering why the cashier seemed to behave like we were offending her by purchasing items.

Wow, what happened Ikea? This place used to be fully stocked, pre-covid. Currently, the shelves are barely half stocked at best. Food wise, it's gone to shit. The only exception would be the mash and the fries. I got regular meatballs that the food server verbally repeated, so it's not the plant or veggie balls. They only give you eight meatballs now. Wtf. And they give you some really sad looking and tasting broccoli instead of a variety of veggies. The mac and cheese were TERRIBLE. For some reason it was bitter. Wtf are you adding to the max and cheese to make it bitter?! Lingonberry sauce is now dispensed where the condiments section is, which is fine, they provided less and less sauce with each of my previous visits. The soda fountains are turned off so the only beverage you get, is coffee and, half and half. Ice still works in the fountain machines though. Extremely disappointing, I'm never coming back to this location.

This is your typical IKEA. I was sufficiently satisfied with the store, but the location was a bit far which is understandable, since there isn't much space in New York! I generally like walking around IKEA, and this one had everything I was looking for. I ended up buying some things online and picking up from this location, and everything worked out fairly smoothly. I also had a nice meal in the restaurant! Staff seem to be quite friendly and helpful. Would return again if I needed anything (or for some Swedish meatballs!)

Extremely slow customer service both in the warehouse area and the returns line. With just one item to return, somehow the cashier will take a good 20 minutes. Not really sure what is going on. The employees have no interest in helping you. Lines are extremely not because there is a lot of demand, but because the employees are snails and try to be as slow as possible. Also, even tho there is a line, don't be a fool and stand in it. They will not acknowledge you if you do not put yourself in the online queue, EVEN THOUGH THERE'S A PHYSICAL QUEUE. Absolutely stupid and ridiculous. The service here is awful don't come here.

Social distancing in full force here at IKEA. There was approximately a 45-60 minute wait to get into the store. Once in, people were pretty spread out and it was not crowded at all. Employees were very easy to find with their yellow and blue shirts. They had low/no inventory for a few of the items that we were looking to purchase. The employees were very nice and helpful as they looked up the items on the inventory system. The lighting department had a great employee (Tristan) who helped us identify which bulbs were ideal for the lamps we were purchasing. Super helpful and nice. Upstairs food court was closed but the downstairs one was open. Checkout was fast and efficient

FOOD REVIEW The Ikea store has a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. The cafe counter is located near the checkout area. I tried the cheese pizza slice for $2 plus tax, which was delicious. However, the size of the slices varied. You can order through a touch screen, but there were some technical issues with two of the four available screens. The staff may be limited on certain days, which can cause delays in receiving your order. The menu has reasonable prices, and they have added new items like a veggie hot dog, pineapple mango smoothie, and strawberry twist frozen yogurt. The restrooms are located on the same floor, and there is parking available. There are tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your food.
