Ordered a sofa/love seat and paid for pick up service and delivery. But had to pay for that separately after driving 45 minutes to the store, because the suck website does not allow you to order pick-up online.
The person trying to help me at the store couldn't figure out how to complete the order from their system. So I had to go to a different dept. to handle delivery.
Called the store day of delivery after checking tracking and seeing the order was cancelled and receiving no notification.
Was informed that my order had been split into 2 orders and rescheduled for different dates without notifying us, because they sold us a sofa they didn't have in stock!
Got the first delivery a day after we were supposed to. But the delivery driver argued that the additional parts on our order weren't on his list. Until he went and re-checked his truck. "Oops, sorry." And, bonus - when he showed up he said, "this is too hard for me alone, so you can help, or i can cancel the delivery. ... The delivery I paid for. So I wouldn't have to move it myself. Rolled up my sleeves and said screw it, at least it's here. And waited the next day for someone to pick up the old furniture. Shocker, no one came.
Called IKEA back again. Was then told that pickup had to be rescheduled to the other delivery date as well. I begrudgingly agreed to that date.
But again never received any confirmation. Spent 3 hours today trying to make sure they were still coming. Called IKEA, then IKEA says call delivery company #1, then that company says not them, call delivery company #2. Then #2 says "not us, call IKEA". Who then finally told me someone messed up and I have to wait another week past the 4-day delay we have already had to deal with. WTF are you kidding me? So here I am with 4 couches in a 1,000 sq ft apt. Praying some idiot doesn't cancel, ignore, or otherwise screw up our order again! The level of ineptitude!
Quick update... the second delivery due today never showed, and the shipping company cannot contact the driver. Insanity.
