Ikea Wants to Transition From Furniture Store to Lifestyle Brand - Eater

"One of the first things a friend told me after she visited the new Ikea was that the rooftop would make a pretty good location for a first date. There’s a nice view, plus a bar operated by the hostel that occupies the top two floors of the building." - Emily Cohen

At the return shop you see so many unmotivated and bored people. 50 people waiting and 2 desks open. One girl was just about to open a new desk, and you could see her literally typing her password 5 times suuuuper slowly to win time and avoid talking to the people. So, one needs to be prepared with tons of patience and stamina as a line of 10 people is a minimum of 45 min wait to exchange a single.

The shopping gets very confusing like a labyrinth. It’s like a long chain where you can’t take a short cut and in order to reach a point you have to go through excessive paths. The food court is nice and has good deals. They regularly restock all the food so it’s kept fresh. The staff were very helpful. All furniture seemed to be organised and in stock while I was shopping.

Girteka 🦅 If you come here for unloading don't come early one day there is no parking for trucks . They start working at 3:45 in the morning but girteka give you unloading time 3:29 You can go there after 12:00 midnight and go to the office and outside the office, there will be a piece of paper with your trailer number and ramp number written on it. Park your truck on this ramp and sleep till 3:45am. In the morning go to office at 3:45 they tell you ramp number go to this ramp, A man will come and remove the seal, then parking the truck at ramp . After unloading finished ✅️ go to office take papers and finished. There is a toilet 🚻right next to the office. Almost 1 to 2 hours for unloading.

Excellent place to shop for cheap furniture. 99.9 percent I think are China made. Difficult to go around if you're English speaking only. I'll give 1.5 star to the food served in the cafeteria.

One of two IKEAs actually located in Vienna (other one is at Westbahnhof). Recently redesigned and reshaped. Looks wonderful. Staff is always nice and helpful when you need them. There is also big Ikea restaurant to take a break halfway through your shopping. Place is big and clean, well maintained. There is also large underground parking garage as well as even larger parking lot (both of them Ikea shares with its neighbour Obi).

IKEA is a nice experience. This place is cool. To walk around. You have friendly service. You can also sit and eat and drink after your long walk.

I absolutely love shopping at IKEA! The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their return policy is straightforward and hassle-free, which makes shopping here even better. It’s clear they prioritize customer satisfaction, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend! Not forgetting the hotdog 🌭

Super big. Like most popular places I recommend going on a weekend. Prepare for 30min from when you end the show floors to collect large items and pay. This means if the store is closing in 15min then you don't have time to look at any more items and that's on you. Also always get a hotdog before and after shopping. The vegan ones are awesome too 👌🏼

Yelp
IKEA Nord is convenient, cheap, and... well... Swedish! If you've never been to an IKEA before, get out from under that rock, throw out all of your old furniture, and spend a day in this Swedish furniture mecca transforming your flat into a stylish marvel (some assembly required). If you live on this side of the city, IKEA Nord is easier to get to than the SCS one. I know the SCS one will be bigger once their renovations are done, but while the construction is ongoing, I like to shop at the Nord location as the departments aren't always shifting around. Pick up a hotdog or some Swedish meatballs while you're there and if you sign up for their IKEA Family club, you get free coffee and other benefits.

Yelp
Just moved to Vienna from a furnished flat in Spain, so we were in need of things, things and more things. And what a great place to start than in Ikea? From entrance hall to garden they've got you covered on 2 MASSIVE floors. Guys beware: there is more stuff here than you can possibly look at! But if there is such a thing as a positive criticism it would be that there is soooo much to chose from. A great place to get anything you want for the home. Large, spacious and easily reached from the centre of Vienna. Take the U1 (red line) to Kagranerplatz station, exit right and take the 24A bus, it drops you outside Aldi and then its just over the road. Reasonably priced as per usual.

Yelp
My second Ikea experience was in Wien !! My parents had just moved from South America to Austria, and were adjusting to having less space. While searching for functional furniture for the new digs, we decided to pay Ikea a visit and wow... solutions, solutions, solutions. We ended up picking up a nice living room set, and a bedroom set. No rack on the car ? No problem, everything is packed so it can be easily transported and they will also provide materials for a makeshift, yet secure rack on top of your car to carry your items. Ikea rocks !! in Vienna, in Paris, in Chicago, and in Miami !!!!

Yelp
Vienna is one of the few cities that has two IKEA stores, and both are very good. My personal opinion is that this one is not as big as the other one but of course they still have all the same products, prices and service. I actually do my IKEA shopping at this one as it is closer to my home and easier for me to get the stuff home again. Therefore i am very happy to have the choice between the two of them.

Yelp
Cheap furniture. Easy layout (complete with arrows to lead you around the show room). Clean environment. Swedish meatballs. And has AC (which is really nice for the summer!) me and the hubs found a bunch of stuff that would meet our needs at our new flat for pretty inexpensively. Definitely highly recommend, but make sure you have the time for it. There's a lot to see. Also. To get here take U1 to Kagraner Platz, and as you walk out of the U1 look for the 24A bus. It will take you right to IKEA (also recommend using the Qando app, it will help guide you there.) Happy shopping!

Yelp
I absolutely love IKEA. There is always something cool to buy for my house. Bit overcrowded on Saturdays, but that only confirms that everybody loves IKEA. The IKEA FAMILY card can store your bills so whenever you want to return unused items you don't have to worry about finding original receipt. It's all stored on your card.

Yelp
Horrible delivery service. Definitely the worst delivery experience I have ever had. Had to wait 8 weeks for my order to arrive. Each week I was notified by text that "unfortunately" my shipment was delayed another week. Unacceptable. And in the end, items were missing because they became "no longer available to ship". If you must shop here, go to the store in person, never order online, unless you want to wait 2 months. When I called customer service they did nothing to expedite the process.

Yelp
Classic ikea as any where. Go with excitement, eat meat balls, get more than you planned and regret when leaving. The bus trip from kagran and ikea very packed.

Yelp
It's an IKEA which is to say pretty standard style and range. Sometimes it takes a while to find someone to help but once done, they are friendly and try to help. Cheap hotdogs at the stand outside.

Yelp
yeah, you can always, always find something at IKEA, even if you only need ONE thing you gonna come out with bags full of things ;) the restaurant, yeah, its ok, but often the food can be really dry and also cold :( but the meatballs are always a treat, not as good as homemade ones of course but still pretty decent
