How Ikeda’s in Auburn Became Northern California’s Best-Kept Pie Secret - Eater SF
"The Davis outpost of Ikeda’s, which opened in 2000, operates as a true fruit stand without an attached restaurant. It serves as an extension of the original Ikeda’s market." - Lauren Saria
Great fruit stand. Always a pleasure to be able to shop for fresh local produces. They are also serving fruit freezes now. Great for a hot summer day.

Best pot pies anywhere!
Tamales, salsa, hot sauces and seasoned/marinated meat selections are great. Perfect stop on the way back from Sacramento.

Accidently stumbled upon this place. It was a cute stop with fruits, nuts, pies, jams, etc. They also have fruit freezes, which looks like sorbets that the person in front of us was racing about.
Pork tamale was better than the chicken. They have options for vegan/veggie tamales, too.

Amazing location and relaxing atmosphere. The tamales are a great plus! The only reason why I would shop regularly is because the same items of certain brands are available at Sprouts or Trader Joe’s for cheaper. However, shopping here would be great for convenience if you live in Davis.

Small business, fresh produces. I like this place!

I like it, although their selection is small. I love especially the goodies--locally made pies, cookies, and honey. I shop there at least once a month.

Holy moley! Can't BELIEVE there's another Ikeda's! Hooray! I love the Auburn location, and always make a point to stop when I'm nearby. But now that I know there is one here .... Road trips and traffic on Highway 80 just got way better!!

good but it's a little odd they don't take EBT when they live so close to a low-income housing complex. Makes it seem like they don't feel like serving the local community, especially since they surely qualify with their food selection. I agree with another review they could hold back on the whipped cream on the pies a little. but they are good.
