"Downtown Minneapolis’ Ike’s Restaurant was the subject of some major Internet shaming after a photo of its Super Bowl menu leaked online and the city reacted to the huge price hikes. Normally, an order of guacamole in the burger-centric restaurant costs $12. After frugal menu watchdogs stormed the web shaming the restaurant, Ike’s temporarily took its Facebook page down. The page is now back to functioning and the restaurant’s general manager addressed concerns with a pun-laden statement titled “Let’s Guac About It.”" - Joy Summers

"The inflated prices at downtown's Ike's Restaurant at 50 South 6th Street have given people pause since the Minneapolis Business Journal shared a menu listing guacamole for $36. That wasn’t the only shocking price. New Orleans shrimp, usually served on the dinner menu for $14, jumps to $56 for the Super Bowl prices. Grilled beef skewers are $72. Ike’s Tweeted that the menu price of guacamole was a misprint and people will be charged the usual $12 for that appetizer." - Joy Summers

I enjoyed the vibe of Ike's. Service was slow, even for an early weekday lunch. Everyone ordered burgers with different levels of done and they nailed it for all three. The egg was mostly cooked, I enjoy my eggs over easy on burgers. It was all flavorful. The warm chocolate chip cookies after the meal were great!

Definitely not what it used to be The Patty size and quality have greatly declined. The cookies also tasted different compared to 2006-2010ish. The service was average. The waiter forgot most of our requests and brought us out cold fries. Dissapointing, I used to really like this place I do not recommend it, go to Oceanaire next door

Love the burgers! Is our must stop everytime we're in Minneapolis. The burgers medium are amazing. Love the flatliner, or the mushroom and Swiss. My husband also loves the roadhouse steak burger if you're really hungry. Bloody Mary's are really good as well.

A very nice man named Marcus who works at Mayo Clinic Square took me to Ike's after he suggested their food for breakfast. The steak was well done and absolutely immaculate. The only issue I had was that there was only one waiter and she seemed to forget everything. The place had about only 5 tables of people being served and on one plate they forgot to add cheese. The pancakes are very thin and the syrup tastes very close to sugar.. too sweet for my liking. The lights are dim and a very romantic setting. I would absolutely go back just for the steak.

Our food and drinks were amazing and the restaurant had a great atmosphere but the service was even better! I believe our servers name was Dena and she was amazing. She went above and beyond to to make it a memorable evening!

Perfectly cooked, absolutely fabulous burger (I ordered medium, partner got medium well, both cooked to order in textbook fashion). The meat was high quality, juicy, and accompanied by the perfect toppings on an incredibly soft and delicious bun. Maybe some of the best french fries I've ever eaten, and tangy Cole slaw to boot. Excellent friendly service, a variety of creative and fun choices on the menu, and a casual vibe in a great setting. Definitely a choice location for your American eats in downtown Minneapolis!

The best burgers I have ever had have been eaten at Ike's. A great little spot. Try the Roadhouse Burger if you are in for dinner. The regular burger they serve during brunch is amazing as well.
