Ike's Love & Sandwiches

Well, it IS a good sandwich! But between the sandwich, small drink and small bag of chips (and a tip of course) it is a $20 for lunch. So, a good sandwich? Yep. Worth $20…? Ahm… not sure about that. What they do right - is that the sandwich is built in such a good way that you’re getting all the ingredients and flavors in each bite. And it was freshly made. Although it was good, not sure I’ll be back, as for such a price you can get a much better lunch offers IMO.

I used to like Ike’s but man, they have done something with the portions where there’s almost no meat on their sandwiches. It’s bread and toppings. I just paid $19 for a Reuben (a reuben!) that has a single pathetic thin layer of meat on it. What happened man? The picture attached is the thickest area of the sandwich; the outboard edges are literally without meat at all.

Delicious sandwiches!! If you don't know what to order just let them know what toppings and meats you want. Big reminder. Sandwiches come with their " special sauce". I didn't mind it but maybe next time I will try without it. I ordered a Barry Bonds Combo added BBQ, Mustard on Sourdough. It was fabulous!! My sister and I are definitely coming back. Also since they have Vegan, GF and Halal I can bring anyone of my friends! Played good music and bathrooms were tidy and clean. Only minor issue it was a tiny bit warm inside but I was still comfortable. The only diet drink is Pepsi but that's a ok!!

I stopped by a small diner on a busy afternoon, looking for something quick but tasty. I ordered a sandwich, and it came out fresh and warm, just as I hoped. The bread was soft, the fillings generous, and the flavors perfectly balanced. The staff was friendly and, making the whole experience pleasant. It wasn’t fancy, but sometimes a simple, well-made sandwich at a small place hits the spot better than anything else.

Ike’s Love and Sandwiches absolutely deserves 5 stars! The food is consistently delicious — every sandwich I’ve tried has been packed with flavor, super fresh ingredients, and that signature Dutch crunch bread that’s totally addictive. The menu is massive with something for everyone, including awesome vegetarian and vegan options, which is a huge plus. The staff is friendly, fast, and always makes sure your order is just right. The location is convenient, clean, and has a chill vibe that makes it a great spot for a quick bite or a casual meal with friends. Highly recommend

Ike’s has such an incredible vibe - fun, welcoming, and full of positive energy everywhere you look. everything is covered in uplifting messages that make you smile. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious and huge — definitely worth every penny! You can tell everything is made with care and good vibes. Highly recommend stopping by if you want great food and an even better atmosphere.

Four of us decided to order take out from Ike's while two of us were visiting family in Austin. Two things: (1) you are missing out of you don't try your sandwich on the Dutch Crunch Bread, which is wonderful in flavor and texture; and (2) even if unsure about the Dirty Sauce, order it on the side to know what you may be skipping. Even though one of us is vegetarian, the menu is so diverse that three of us ended up ordering non-meat sandwiches. My wife loved the "Steve Jobs" and I truly enjoyed the "Jim Rome." My son's go-to sandwich is the "Adam Richman." I apologize, but I cannot recall the fourth sandwich (which is the third veggie sandwich) we ordered. I will shortly be returning to Austin and will be returning to Ike's Love and Sandwiches. I highly recommend that others visit Ikes as well.

Is there a way to award 6 stars or more? This place is amazing. I absolutely love their sandwiches. Their staff is super friendly, they have ample seating space and their menu has halal options. We tried the menage a trots and hot mama. There's about 6 more halal options. All the sandwiches have a distinct taste, all come with generous servings of fillings and the bread is crisp and fresh. Definitely returning again for some more of ikes sandwiches. #halal

Best Sandwiches in Mueller!! I come here during lunch 3-4 times a week. It's my hot spots. Many selections and the service is great!

I absolutely love Ike's. I may just be biased because they have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options unlike most other sandwich shops. This location is really clean and spacious. The staff is nice enough. I haven't had much reason to interact with them beyond my order. On to the food! Like I said there are a ton of vegan options. They have plenty of Vegan mock meats and dressings that you wouldn't find at other shops. I've had the vegan Tom Brady. It's a big hearty sandwich that I would definitely order again. I've also had the Vegan Green Goblin which is smaller, but still a really good and filling portion. I've eaten here w/ several people and not one had any complaints. Hubs even said he's glad it's not too far so we can come back again.

First time there was a disappointment because I waited for 45mins to get my order. It seems like the lady that was making the sandwich was overwhelmed and had to remake several sandwiches because she made a mistake. I decided to go back and give it one more chance. I got my order within 10 mins and the sandwich was warm which was nice. I might consider going back again.

Love the sandwiches here. So many different kinds and love that they have so many vegetarian and vegan options! Fast service!

Didn't intentionally go here (we were wanting Jamba but they closed early due to the holidays), but I'd enjoyed Ike's last time I had it back when I was living in the Bay Area California. In fact, I didn't even realize Ike's had made it out this far. Cool to see them expanding; they have a fun brand presence/attitude. Felt sorry for the one single employee working here trying to juggle the dinner rush. Oof. She managed to be pretty efficient under the circumstances and I wasn't kept waiting too long to get my order. I wish this place had some cheaper options... pretty much everything is $12+ for a single sandwich. Skads of options, mind you. You could go to Ike's hundreds of times and never have the same thing (except I'm the kind of guy who likes to find one thing I like and always get that, so an expansive menu isn't necessarily a draw for me *shrugs*). My sandwich had decent taste (nothing mind-blowing) but was pretty lukewarm (I either want a nice hot sandwich or a cold one but never just lukewarm), so I don't really feel like I got my money's worth, I guess. But it filled me up and I had leftovers. The establishment was fairly clean. Lots of places to sit on the inside and a few tables on the outside too. Bathrooms were clean. Very vibrant interior.

I was pleased to find out that there's an Ike's Sandwiches near my work. I usually go to the one in Round Rock. This one is in the Mueller area in a strip mall near Starbucks. Google Maps will put you on the opposite side of the strip mall so please take note if that isn't fixed by the time you're reading this review. I really like Ike's Sandwiches, the Dutch Crunch bread makes the sandwich stand out and adds flavor. They have a nice selection of Zapp Chips, chocolate chip cookies and you get a free Tootsie lollipop with every sandwich. I've tried multiple sandwichwes here, I like the creativity, the sauces are good, the meat is good and it's always made with love when you get the sandwich it looks well put together. However when you start biting into it, it gets sloppy because of the amount of sauce they put, if you have it on your sandwich I got the Jayme Sirewich (the sandwiches have cool names) sit consists of fried chicken, Ike's yellow BBQ sauce, ranch, pepper jack cheese. All of their sandwiches are served hot with dirty sauce, lettuce, and tomato, but you can customize it to your liking. I usually order online and pick mine up. When you arrive you're greeted right away and they're very friendly when they can be if it's not too busy The Jayme is very delicious it's one of my favorites sandwiches from Ike's. The fried chicken is fried perfectly and it's seasoned well and very flavorful. The condiments enhance the flavor and if you get it on Dutch Crunch bread you get a nice crunch and flavored bread. I highly recommend this sandwich especially if you like chicken sandwiches. The Jayme is $11.25 here in Austin but admittedly you get a nice sized sandwich for the price. I've also ate the Madison Bumgarner (steak, yellow BBQ sauce, light habanero sauce, Pepper Jack cheese, American cheese. This was very delicious cheesey, the steak has a nice flavor too. I recommend this one too. I have eaten every sandwich, because when I try a new one I go back to the same one next time I order because they're so good. Definitely stop by and give Ike's a try!

This is a good sandwich. I could eat this again and again. Zero complaints about the food. It is an expensive sandwich.

Sandwich over here! Ike's has a huge menu of sandwiches, both meaty and veggie, and most can be made vegan. The offerings are remarkably creative and yummy x 10! There are extremely casual tables inside and out!

This is our team's Thursday lunch every week! Fast, friendly service and the sandwiches are amazing. I try a new one every week and have yet to be disappointed. Make sure you get the Dutch Crunch bread!

I wish I could give a higher review but these sandwiches are pretty pricey for what they are. Being gluten free it's an expected added cost for gluten free bread but $23 for a sandwich and chips and a drink is a bit much. It would be nice if y'all could offer a "uniformed neighbor " discount like other restaurants in the area. It would be nice to come from the hospital/surgery center and eat but at this price point it's unlikely I'd return. Tip culture is out of control and with how expensive the food is here it's unreasonable to ask us to tip in addition. Chipotle is steps away and a similar dining experience and they don't ask for an added tip. I'm obviously in scrubs and one of my coworkers said there was a sign for nurse discount but it was not extended.

New sand which spot alert! This place is so unique compared to all others in town. Their menu first of all from their options to their names and numbers is not of the ordinary. I tried the 79. Shawn Michaels with their classic bread they recommend (it's so good!). They did thinly sliced steak and the mozz sticks were a fun combo with this. Looking forward to coming back and trying their many other options. Super friendly staff and it was nice a clean inside. If you're in Mueller be sure to check this spot out!

Gooof portion. The sandwich looked good. They have a dirty sauce. They come with a tootsie roll as well. The sandwich was huge. Needed a spoon to eat it.not a fan of the dirty sauce. Asked where napkins were and couldn't find fnemz

One of my favorite sandwich places in the Bay Area and I was ecstatic they made their way to Austin! Their menu selection is HUGE, what you see on the menu on location isn't the full menu. They have everything from vegan, vegetarian, to gluten free options. I especially love their Dutch Crunch bread with my usual 49er sandwich. Sandwich is a good portion and very filling. Located in a nice plaza for a quick grab and go meal.

First time trying this place in Austin on a business trip. OMG. The best fastfood sub sandwich ever. We pickend it up to go. The bread melts in your mouth. I had a Matt Cain on wheat. Perfect bread to meat ratio and it's warmed! Can't express how good this sandwich is. If you are from New Orleans, you know zapps is one of our staple chips. They have zapps and other desserts and I'm guessing a lollipop comes with the sandwich. Again, best fastfood sandwich I have ever had. Wish one was close by me.

I think this place may be new. I noticed it when I was getting Starbucks since it's right next door. Normally sandwiches can be boring for vegetarians. However this place has a TON of different options to put on your sandwich. There is a whole dedicated menu for vegetarian sandwiches and many of them can be made vegan! The ambiance was super casual like most sandwich shops but the service was really helpful. I got the Sabrina smiles (I think that's what it's called). It had vegan chicken in it along with veggies and I also added pickles. I loved it! They have other veggies that can be added for free, so be sure to check the veggie list. Also another perk is that they give first responders a discount! Overall I would come here again because they have so many other options that I have to try. Oh and they do have a gluten-free option for my celiac friends, though I wasn't able to try it.

This is a new location of Ike's and I'm super excited to find it so central to Austin! I'm convinced every sandwich here is amazing if they all have the dirty sauce spread, because this sauce really elevates a plain sandwich. Besides that, all of their options for sandwiches have great meat and meatless additions. Literally vegetarian bacon, meatballs and chicken patties. They even had a sandwich with mozz sticks in in. Their menu is huge and there's something for everyone.

Came to this place on a whim...these sandwiches are straight The quality of the bread and ingredients were top notch. I got the Matt Cain sandwich with wasabi mayo...LEGIT. The staff is so friendly and their music playlist is UNDEFEATED! They are the new sheriff in town and it isn't Jimmy or Mike #MikeDrop

Ike's Love has any type of sandwich you can imagine. High quality meats along w add ons to your sandwich. Great selection of fountain drinks along w chips too. I can't give it 5 stars because the price point is just too high. Paying $18 for a sandwich is a wild amount of money. I hope they stay in business and thrive as a company, but I'm afraid they are overpriced to eat on a regular basis. There have been many times I've had cravings for Ike's but cannot pay the price point plus a 10% tip for the employees. I just can't justify the cost for a sandwich.

Placed a takeout order and was told the order wasn't quite ready as we showed up a little bit earlier. No biggie. However, my boyfriend sat inside waiting for the order to be completed. Come to find out 20 minutes later after he was waiting the entire time the bag was just sitting to the side... No one ever acknowledged or told him it was ready as he was waiting for someone to say something. Good sandwiches but disappointing experience.

Was so excited to have an Ike's sandwiches location open close to us - I had tried it once in California and really enjoyed it so was excited to give it another try. I love LOVE all the options that are available for vegetarians - usually at sandwich shops we have one option and it's just all veggies! I had the meatless mike sub which is like a veg version of a meatball sub - hit the spot!! Their dirty sauce is magical - it makes every sandwich super delicious. Their veg meatballs are really tasty - my husband who eats meat said he would honestly have this instead of a real meatball sub. My husband had the handsome owl and loved the flavors on that as well - the wasabi mayo is really unique! The sandwiches seem a little pricey at first, but honestly the sandwiches are huge and half a sandwich would probably be a reasonable size meal for me if it wasn't so tasty and I ate the whole thing at once despite being full! Highly recommend if you've never had before!

I really like these sandwiches. They're big, have a ton of interesting flavor combinations, and that bread.. yes. If you're feeling gluttonous they even have some with mozzarella sticks and onion rings on them. Oh and the dirty sauce? That stuff is wildly delicious. I really do want to support local shops like Snarf's and Thundercloud subs, but they just aren't as good as Ike's.

This place has LEGIT. Sandwiches are delicious. I had the "Matt Cain." Coming back for sure.

First had Ike's in California and I was so excited when their Mueller location opened!! Huge sandwiches and after trying many of their menu options, they have never been anything but delicious!! They have so many menu options (both meat and vegetarian) so there's a sandwich for you no matter what you're in the mood for. Highly recommend!!!

I used to go to Ike's when I lived in the Bay Area and I was so happy to see that they opened here in Austin! I've gone to this location a few times and it's just as amazing as I remember. There are tons of sandwiches and options, they're all big, and they're all delicious. The Dutch Crunch bread and the sauces put them over the top. Their online ordering is easy, the orders have been ready on time, and there is ample seating both inside and outside the restaurant. I have a feeling that I'll be here pretty often.

Fast and great service. Sandwiches were mid, like not bad but not good.The sauce over powered the other ingredients. Definitely trying the other sandwiches since it has so many options, a little overwhelming but I still have hope I'll find a sandwich I like.

Absolutely a dreadful experience. Please go here if you want to be charged extra for mustard, secret sauce & ranch. Spend your hard work money at Potbelly's Sandwich. They do not charge extra for condiments. The First time there I gave them a 4 out of 10; the sandwich was very dry but had potential. The second time I thought I would get condiments such as mustard, ranch, and their secret sauce in case it's dry again. Big mistake! The cashier gladly added the condiments & she was friendly enough. The sandwich was priced @ $11.95. The total was almost $18 because the condiments- the mustard, ranch, & secret sauce. This price was without chips or a drink- unbelievable! Of course, I thought she was kidding ! I asked why the total was almost $18 if the sandwich is priced @ $11.95 (the Steve Young Sandwich) and she said "or we charge extra for condiments." $6 for condiments that are free everywhere else. I wonder if they charge to use their bathroom ? The sandwich shop closed down before Ike's and with this business model I see the same thing happening here. It was 6pm at dinner time and two people were in there including myself. I canceled my order and went next door to Chilpolte for a more reasonable $9.85 chicken burrito. People are being laid off, have single incomes, and going out to eat is a treat so being charged excessively is something I'm not willing to tolerate. Shame on Ike's. An Example, A family of four ordering sandwich that want mustard, etc will pay an additional $24 without chips and drinks of course.

The customer service was amazing! It was my first time there and the staff answered all my questions with patience and delicious suggestions! I highly recommend giving this shop a try!

I am so happy that Ike's is established in Mueller! I used to anticipate the weekend trips to Ike's with friends in San Mateo years ago and my prayers have been answered now that Ike's has graced Mueller with it's presence. No other sandwich shop has such a variety of signature sandwiches and options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Ike's never disappoints with their vegetarian meat substitutes, my favorite and go-to was always their meatless Mike - vegetarian meatball sub, but I happily tried the Sunny Came Home (the Mueller exclusive with meatless chicken and orange sauce) and it is by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life! Their sandwiches are always well balanced in flavor and this one is the perfect mix of sweet and savory. I'm looking forward to trying all the signature subs. Thank you Ike's!

Great food but confusing menu and slow / lackluster service. If you have patience - go for it. If not - look elsewhere. capriotti's is across the street and has great food and service.

Visited on Tuesday (6/27/23) evening and the girl at the counter was ridiculously rude. How do you hire people like this? Not only was she rude and acted like I wasn't there, she ignored my order to the point where she asked to be reminded what I asked for WHILE she was making my sandwich, and the sandwich was a friggin mess. There was sauce on the paper outside of the sandwich and outside the bun, everything fell out of it when I tried taking a bite. I took one bite, then my husband tasted it, then we threw it in the trash can outside Chi'Lantro as we got something else to replace the meal. Our first and LAST time going here.
