Looking for one of the most unique flavors in Denver? Look no further than “Ike’s Love and Sandwiches.” That sauce! That bread! The combinations and add-ons… leave nothing to chance. Trust buddy behind the counter. He’s got the recommendations down! Unreal! 🥪

Me and a coworker were looking for a place to grab a bite instead of our usual go to places, my coworker had seen this place before so we looked at the menu and decided why not. I ordered the Di Vinci on sourdough and man what a surprise when it came out, it was hot and toasted, the sauce they used was actually really good. My coworker had the Beast Mode and he said we will definitely have to come back and try all the different sandwiches, I agree, great sandwich and location. The have such a great menu with lots of popular sandwiches and they have a full selection of vegetarian sandwiches as well, if you’re in the area and looking for a good sandwich this place won’t disappoint. Excellent service and friendly

Love this place. Great food, lots of vegetarian options. I like the signature Dutch bread. Awesome location, too--a public square on Denver's pedestrian mall. It's so nice to sit outside and people watch with a delicious, affordable sandwich. This is our favorite spot along 16th Street. We often bike downtown with our kid just to eat here.

Love the sandwiches!!! My new favorite sandwich shop!!! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options! Delicious 🤩

Google
Came here on accident, the sandwich board is massive and intimidating. Ike’s face is plastered all over the building. It’s intense when you come in. How good are these sandwiches for you to plaster yourself all over the building, like he’s even on the hand sanitizer and he has a manifesto! Idk what Dutch bread is but I now know I never want any other kinda bread. The sandwich I got, oh my gosh. The sauce, the bread, the everything just hit so right. I understand why Ike has his face plastered all over everything. I would too because the confidence in the sandwich is there; they are amazing. The young lady who took my order was awesome. Explained what Dutch bread was because I had no clue. Also, her edges were amazing. TLDR: Ike’s is amazing! 10/10

We had The Hollywood with added lettuce and peppers and a bag of chips Split between the two of us was plenty for lunch! Super yummy! Conveniently located between Union Station (public transportation hub) and the Denver Center for Performing Arts. A perfect stop for a quick lunch before attending a matinee play.

Believe the hype!!! If you are in the area, it's definitely a must! The sandwich selection is unique, fun, and tasty! Staff are friendly. The inside seating is a little cozy, but there is plenty of outside seating (tables with umbrellas). We got the 201 Adam Richman and 422 Beast Mode. Both were great and definitely would get again. You can make your sandwich a combo, which adds a bag of chips and a drink. When ordering, they ask if you want the free lollipop, so a sweet little treat when you are done. Very filling, couldn't finish the sandwich so tasty leftovers it is. Be sure to check this place out!

I was so hyped to see there’s an Ike’s in Denver after living in the Bay for several years! I appreciate how quick it was ready as I was there on my lunch break. Everything was delicious. Will be back!

Yelp
I'm visiting from Las Cruces, New Mexico for the AHEAD conference, and my supervisor and I were looking for a good lunch spot. Normally, I'm always on the hunt for a great sandwich place, but since we were short on time, we decided to stroll down 16th Street and see what we could find. We stumbled upon this sandwich shop, and wow, what a find! Hands down, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The homemade Dutch Crunch bread was perfection. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. hHerecommended the Madison Bumgarner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My supervisor got the Matt Cain and gave it a solid 10/10. Great service, incredible food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd recommend this spot to anyone, and I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
OMG! How have I not known about this place sooner??!!??!? There's another sub shop that all the locals rave bout - and that place is good, but dare I say this place is much better! The sandwiches are tasty, tasty, tasty!!!! Albeit crazy names for many of the sandwiches. I ordered a ménage a trois and my wife order what was effectively a Philly staple sandwich. Both were outstanding, on excellent bread and well sized. I'll be back here again when I am back in town.

Yelp
A fantastic sandwich/sub shop. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've eaten. Tons of choices and customizations to make, along with the pre-set sandwich choices that they have. Fast service, friendly staff, and love the quirky and trendy interior. Definitely have to get your sandwich on Dutch Bread. The crispy and crunchy exterior is the perfect contrast and complement to the sandwich fillings. Does a fantastic job soaking up all of the flavors. Will definitely come back if I get a chance! :)

Yelp
Great food and service! If you're vegetarian a I highly recommend this place. I got the handsome owl sandwich and an orange cream soda, both were delicious.

Yelp
A solid Ike's shop. It was a nice surprise to see one in Denver. For those unfamiliar, there's a LOT of customization available. They have a wide variety of pre-built selections (some named after celebrities). They also provide different types of bread, but you may want to at least try Ike's Dutch bread. Service was fast and easy. After you order your fancy sandwich, just wait for it to be made. There's plenty of indoor seating and you can even take the sandwich to go. This place brings back the Ike vibe, so if you visit the West coast and see some of these, it might feel a bit familiar.

Yelp
Be patient, be patient. If you come over here to Ike's--right around the corner from where we are--it's a nice little stroll down 16th Street. Bam! You're right there. First, be open to everything. The menu is really big and packed with options. The staff? Super friendly. The sandwiches? Wildly creative. You've got the Ménage à Trois--one of my personal favorites. Quick, tasty, and full of flavor. And there are tons of other varieties too, including great vegetarian choices. I highly recommend this place. Honestly, I think it's underrated. I'm surprised I haven't heard more about them on the East Coast.

Jaime H.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! By far some of the best sandwiches is Denver!!!!!!!

Yelp
Pretty tasty sandwiches and plenty of options to choose from. Great option for catering as well.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible experience! We had the meatless mike, veg hades and veg bonnie. The combination of flavors was inventive and original! Everything was delicious. Bread-Dutch crunch and sourdough was especially to die for! The service was great and so friendly and helpful. Great vibe right in the 16th street mall. Selection of great sodas as well. Don't miss this spot!!

Yelp
Overwhelming menu. The staff was sympathetic to my difficultly ordering. I went with the #25 Barry Bonds, not too shabby for a basic "turkey bacon Swiss". Cold and sterile feel to the place. Great location. I will try again in a pinch, but I will need to come prepared with a plan.
google avatar

Peter H.

Yelp
Great location. Good, while not expedient service. The menu is completely overwhelming. Overly cute names in bold and the actual ingredients in tiny letters. It's too much to ask for from a patron. I know they probably spent an entire weekend on coming up with these creative names. But I just want a sandwich. It's TOO MUCH!! Sandwich was very good. Good crunchy bread. Nice selection of toppings. Maybe a little bit too much sauce on mine, but would definitely order it again. In case I haven't made my point: people don't care about cute names. They don't want to have to read the menu for 30 minutes before they can decide what sandwich to eat.

Yelp
As my father and I spent our time in Denver, we decided we just wanted a simple sub sandwich for lunch. This was a little harder to find than I expected, we didn't wanna go to somewhere like a subway or D'Angelo's. I found this place on yelp and we decided to walk down and give it a try. The selection was vast and so were the prices. We both got an Italian style sub and made it a combination with chips and a fountain drink and the total came to $35 a little pricey for a sub chips and a drink I think but it was very good.

Ron R.

Yelp
What an amazing staff! Keep up the amazing work. Sandwich was delicious, I ordered the Hunter Pence and will be coming back when in Denver area. Thank u!

Yelp
I've unfortunately only eaten here once, but it was all it took to be hooked! The Dutch bread has a nice sweetness to it, great crunch, and holds the inside preference well. *SO* many options. I got the Veg Owl sandwich (forgot the name). I've been wanting to come back ever since and eventually try them all lol. 100% recommend. Service was amazing, food even better.

Shaneesha J.

Yelp
Please hear me when I say the Steak & Cheese is AMAZING! OMG!!! While enjoying the sites of downtown Denver, I came across this sandwich shop and had to get the steak and cheese. The staff were welcoming and had great customer service. If you are ever in the downtown Denver area, you HAVE to stop by Ike's Love & Sandwiches and try this incredible sandwich shop. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
As someone who just moved from Northern CA to Denver, I was so excited to learn that there was an Ike's here!! I got my usual: the menage trois on dutch crunch with all the fixings. Compared to my previous Ike's experiences, this sandwich seemed *much* smaller than normal. I usually end up with a mess from how juicy the sandwich is, but strangely had no problem this time. I also think they condensed their menu?? VooDoo chips is a must. Staff was nice and the restaurant itself was pretty large, esp since my last few Ike's was the new one in Mission Bay SF which fits like 10 people total inside LOL I'll be back but hoping I just caught them on an off day!

Yelp
Sandwiches are decent. In store employees want to make it the most awkward experience. Watched dude yap for minutes with another employee, ignoring the woman just trying to pay and wait for her sandwich. 3rd employee just staring at me....i just have a pickup order. Crazy concentration of utterly unaware people in a single 12 foot radius.

Ronnie T.

Yelp
Delicious food made fast! I could get 2-3 meals from one sandwich. I ordered from the app at my desk and my meal was ready when I got there; a lot faster than anticipated.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Ample outdoor/indoor seating. Friendly, clean space. My gluten free "Hot Date for Hire" was delicious! My partner enjoyed their Cheesy Kween as well.

Kathy M.

Yelp
We had this delivered to our place. The sandwich arrived lukewarm and a bit mushy. For the price, we expected a bigger sandwich. The special instructions were not followed and we were missing kettle chips that we had paid for.

Yelp
No love here. Fri. April 8, 2025 11 am I always ask what's on a sandwich, especially at a new place. Was super excited for the vegan options. Despite asking and specifying "only lettuce and onions", I got mayo, some green sauce and cheese. I took it back, I did not make a big deal about it mistakes happen. But, Dude at the register was a total jerk. Indicated that I should have know there was special sauce on the Plain Vegan turkey sandwich. I asked politely to get buns without mayo or freen sauce. He took my sandwich away and I reiterated, only lettuce and onions. Got the sandwich back and guess what, weird green sauce on it again and no onions. Seriously....I went back up & asked if I could get a few onions since they were missing and the Dude actually said , yes there are onions I watched them get put on....soooo. I took my sandwich for him to examine and he pointed to the turkey under the lettuce and said that was the onions. Literally said thrte were onions when there were none. It was so freaking weird and totally NOT COOL. What a disappointment. We're staying at the hotel across the street and hoped to eat here again, but serious rude attitude from register Dude. Hope management or ower sees this before losing more customers.

Yelp
"Now that's a sandwich" - a Denver local who took me here. I would pleasantly agree. There are tons of sandwich shops serving up mediocre cold cuts but Ike's is on another level. Their gigantic menu has tons of creative sandwich combinations that can be piled high on their famous Dutch Crunch Bread or any more typical roll. The staff was helpful and brought food out quickly and the restaurant was clean and conveniently located. A buddy and I split the Jim Rome and the Lin-Sanity and both rocked. Not the cheapest, but it is fair to go in with augmented expectations relative to other chain sandwiches.

Yelp
West coast sandwich shop with rich sandwiches. Their dutch bread is firm with a crisp flaky outside and soft, dense inside. Their dirty sauce is rich and delicious. I got the Matt Cain ($13.45) and liked it, but I'd try something else next time. Their sandwiches are a bit expensive, but worth the enjoyment. It also came with a free lollipop
google avatar

Huma H.

Yelp
Delicious subs! A but on the pricier side for subs but everything tasted so clean and fresh that it was well worth it. We got the vegan hades and backstabber sandwiches on Ikes Dutch Crunch bread. I could have used a little more acid on the backstabber so I'd recommend a hot sauce or something vinegar based. However the sandwiches were well constructed, even though I took them to go they were still together when we opened them up 20 minutes later. There was fast casual seating inside with the sun shining in mid-day. Incredibly friendly staff. The person I ordered with was so patient and answered all my questions with a smile. Thank you for having vegan and halal chicken options. Very much looking forward to expanding options!

Yelp
Best sandwiches I ordered from ikes frequently their sandwiches are always favourable and satisfying

Yelp
I keep coming to Denver thinking I'll get to a great new spot, but I keep coming to Ike's because Robert and Davi make the best Ike's sandwiches this side of the Rockies! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
A San Francisco institution made it to Denver! Its not another sandwich shop. the bread is next level. Even the veggies are worth trying. And creative or irrelevant names add some fun to lunch. Prices are comparable to Subway, Jersey Mikes... Tips: its in the corner of square on Lawrence, not Larimer like all the addresses say. All the ingredients and sauces make it messy, don't bring a date. Look at the menu, there's more than 20 to pick from. It takes a good 10 mins to sling one out, so don't be in a rush.

Zunz S.

Yelp
great atmosphere . love this place. Ken was so nice. definitely recommend. foods really great service was amazing.

Blake H.

Yelp
Ike I'm definitely feeling the love at this location! Great staff and sandwiches:) and great location as well!!

David C.

Yelp
Haven't been in a while but it definitely hit the spot. I tried the hot momma. It was good. Service was quick and the folks working were friendly and seemed to be enjoying their night. It seemed like a slow day so it was very calm

Kasy D.

Yelp
Not a bad sandwich place, but check your togo orders before you leave the store. Last time I ordered a sandwich online they didn't use the bread requested on the order.
google avatar

A E.

Yelp
The sandwiches are big & they have a fantastic vegan and vegetarian selection. I've liked everything I've tried at Ike's. Check the order online function to find local selections not available on the online menu. We went inside for the first time instead of ordering delivery and found that they have even more choices on their menu board. Their sourdough bread is delicious. Ike's really is love and sandwiches.

Kelly W.

Yelp
I'd never heard of Ike's before, but went to the LoDo location on a friend's recommendation. They have an overwhelming selection of sandwiches!! About half a dozen vegan options as well...and the servings are big, you should not leave this place hungry! The staff was patient and helpful, and got the order right out. (Watch out, the line was backed up out the door at lunchtime on a weekday! Popular place, allow extra time if you're there during peak hours.) I ordered a Menage A Trois (Halal Chicken, Honey Mustard, BBQ Sauce, Real Honey, Pepper Jack, Swiss, Cheddar); not spicy at all and quite good! There is some patio seating outside; inside it's a funky kind of relaxed, bohemian vibe. Nice place to chill for lunch.

Calvin B.

Yelp
Definitely a plus to have downtown. Their bread is one of a kind and service is on point.
google avatar

Laurel J.

Yelp
The sandwich is all bread, minimal filling. The sauce was overpowering and made the whole sandwich fall apart. I really wanted to like it but it's just a mediocre sando.

James K.

Yelp
food was good but i waited 20 minutes longer than i had to because the girl working the front of house put my order on the doordash shelf
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Very quick service and a huge menu! I don't often have many options ordering vegan sandwiches but they have a great selection. The best sandwich option in lodo!
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
All I have to say is YUMMY! Great service and so many sandwiches to chose from. It's a great place for vegetarians and meat lovers! We had the Backstabber and Batman! The sandwiches were full of deliciousness!

Amari R.

Yelp
That guy, Robert‍ shows a great example of hospitality!!! Shout out to him! The food taste great, looking forward to come back

Michael S.

Yelp
Marcus gave some outstanding service today. Truly an exceptional shop with amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
My wife introduced me to this place one afternoon for lunch. She had been many, many years ago to a location in San Francisco (I was told this is where it all started for Ike's.....). I'd have to say.....wow. I was very overwhelmed by the menu. As a first timer, I could easily have spent a half hour in line perusing over the many sandwiches listed. I was hungry so I narrowed it down to two - then got the cash register and MacKenzie suggested the Madison Bumgarner "because their steak is delicious". So that's what I went with. The sandwich had chopped steak, Ike's yellow BBQ sauce, light habanero (didn't even know it was in there), Pepper Jack and American cheeses, along with dirty sauce. It was tasty. My wife got the Elvis Keith which was also pretty good. While I wouldn't necessarily go downtown to visit Ike's intentionally (many other comparable sandwich shops closer to us), if I'm ever near one of their two Colorado locations (or by one of their out of state locations), I'd be happy to drop back in to try one of their tens of other sandwich offerings - I will probably study the menu before I drop in though :).

Zach R.

Yelp
Would not recommend anything that says "Fried Chicken" it will be 3 soggy, disgusting chicken tenders. Please please pleasee trust me on this! Stick with the cold cuts!

Cole K.

Yelp
After spending 30+ dollars on 2 sandwiches and being offered complementary lollipops which we accepted. When we went to retrieve said lollipops we were met with accusations of trying to scam IKEs for 2 free lollipops. Do not recommend our server was amazing however the store manager was completely unprofessional and rude. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

Greg R.

Yelp
Was looking forward to Opening Day yesterday and it didn't disappoint! What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Premium fixings and such a considerate and smiling staff. I'll be a regular.
