Ikhlas Seafoods and Pastries

I ordered through doordash, the food was pretty good, fresh, and came quickly. I didn’t care for the chocolate chip cookie (tasted like those dry + bland 50 cent cookies from elementary school but it costed almost $2, wasn’t worth the price to me). The wings could’ve had a little more sauce; I prefer my wings wet not just coated (but that’s just a preference not an actual issue), the food was still good overall, would def order from here again.

#iSERGthat the onion rings are DELICIOUS, I don't know if they are hand-battered or not, if they're fried okra is hand-battered, and seasoned just as good as the fish they are going to have me hooked🎣. However... The MAC AND CHEESE was very disappointing, you can see how dry it looks in the picture, it tastes worse than it looks because it was very greasy not cheesy LIKE THEY HAD REUSED OLD MAC & CHEESE most of the noodles were chopped up. I felt some type of way at first seen that my FLOUNDER 🐠was in pieces instead of a whole fish fillet, but after I tasted they're delicious breading I didn't mind. There's tartar sauce is also different than anybody else's I taste, it was sweeter than ranch, and it was a good serving size for the amount of food THEY GET POINTS FOR THAT! I have not been there in person, so I can't give them five stars before I experience the atmosphere and customer service as well.

The quality of customer service is highly dependent on a pleasurable experience regardless of the type of establishment. The cashier Krystal today was very robotic, engulfed with a television show, and simply didn’t engage in a manner that represents an establishment with a 4.2 rating. Her service was horrible and she was cynical. Not really a trait I would expect to be met with at a local eatery, but nonetheless, it engulfed not just the experience for me personally, but all the other gentlemen that were in the restaurant as well. The only warmth was heard when she was speaking to a male that she seemed to be very comfortable with. This engagement only evidenced that she has the wherewithal to be pleasant, but made a conscious effort to operate continuously in the opposite.I hope that this isn’t the norm, but my gut says it is. I am not sure if this type of service is promoted and celebrated, but it definitely was a disappointment, given that I made a conscious decision to patronage this establishment. The food and its taste and presentation was not the issue, the lack of customer service is the sole purpose for this review.

Ikhlas Seafood is a staple in East point. From the Original location to the current on Cleveland Ave, the quality of food served has remained high. Customer service is courteous & helpful. A Community Supported Business. I've enjoyed my experience. Eddy D [Musician]

I have loved this place for many years. The last 2 visits I have not received whole pieces of fish. Literally slithers of fish. Very disappointing and not what I paid for. Look at other pictures and look at what I received. Maybe this is how they treat customers later in the evening on Friday. I asked about the size of the fish and the question was shrugged off with a remark about "maybe it's how they cut the fish ". Very dismissive but you don't go to this type of establishment for the customer service. Terrible response about what is obviously a big drop in quality but not a surprise since this same lady went back and forth with me about french fries when she first began working on Friday nights. You've been warned, The current operation is not the same quality we are used to. I also was given hard fries. Not a great experience.

Food was soggy and over seasoned. Service was HORRIBLE!!! The guy handing out orders spends more time flirting with women than taking care of customers. My food sat on the counter for over 5 minutes (yes I timed it) while the women bring served in front of me, who brought in their own to-go containers, ate and transfered their food.... while the employee ignored instruction from cashier about other orders on the counter. When I inquired about my order sitting on the counter, he replied he would be with me in a second. That second turned into minutes while he continued to ignore the other waiting customers. He asked if I needed condiments then proceeded to tell me, "I'll be with you in a minute" The female customers enjoyed the attention without remorse for delaying the other waiting customers. The male employee continued to laugh, joke and take his time with these customers as a fourth order was prepared and placed on the waiting counter. I never received my condiments because as soon as he placed my food on the counter, I just took it. No bag because I just wanted to be done with the employee and business. I really should have asked for a refund and left. Got home to a disappointing meal of semi-warm and soggy food

Happened upon this place unexpectedly. I'm glad we did! My sisters and I are native New Yorkers who know good food. Ikhlas delivers...their combos & portions are generous. Their prices are affordable. Our chicken & fish meals were freshly made to order. The wait for our orders was well worth the wait. The steady flow of customers is a testament to their popularity.

The food was delicious. I ordered flounder & shrimp! It was well seasoned and fried crispy. The coleslaw is good with a hint of spice.

The food was amazing! 10 out of 10. Yet the customer service was absolutely horrible. The young lady taking orders has the worst attitude. My co worker called in an order and the young lady was so nasty towards her it was insulting. Yall must do better with customer service. I hate for her to run off valuable customers like she ran me off. I will not be patronizing this business anymore due to my experience with the customer service. 0 out of 10!

I was referred here by my cousin, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the 3pc fish with a small coldslaw. Now had I known that coleslaw was so good, I would have ordered a large. The season on fish was superb, wait time wasn't long, staff was friendly and I will definitely be back. A must try if you're in Atlanta or near Cleveland Ave. Yum!!!!

I have been a customer for years and the service and ambiance have been pretty consistent. I love this restaurant, but unfortunately, the last two times I ordered, the seafood was so salty that it was inedible. The shrimp in particular. I ordered 3months ago and figured that they were just having a bad day. I ordered yesterday and realized that the cook(s) are simply heavy handed with the salt. I hope the owner/manager reads this and makes some adjustments in the kitchen. Cooks, TASTE YOUR FOOD.

Fish is consistently good! The fish superb is just that superb!!! The okra is good, the macaroni and cheese is good. I wish their were more non fried side item options. I remember when they had the steam table, I wish they would bring that back before all their food is good. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.!

The food was ok the service was shoddy at best. The gal at the counter was unfriendly and I'm from NY. The order was missing items and the restaurant lacks ambience. It's really not for sitting in but more for takeout. All in all I won't go back. If you don't mind bad service but instead are focused on portions... this is your place!

The food is cooked to order and is served with great customer service. The area is built to sit in or eat outside for convenience.

10 PC Spicy Bourbon Wings and Fries $8.99 10 PC Catfish Nuggets and Fries $6.99 Coleslaw $1.99 The prices are great for some quick seafood and wings platters but I wish the taste gave a little more. The wings were fried nicely and the flavor was good. I enjoyed them. The catfish nuggets are a no for me. The breading was too doughy or not fried hard enough and it seemed like the fish itself had no seasoning. It's like it was just dumped in some slightly seasoned flour/breading. Coleslaw was not worth 1.99. I won't count this place out though. I would like to go in the store next time to see if there is a difference.

Good seafood. Fast and nice service. Ambiance just ok. Never tried the pastries but looks good. Will be back again

The fish is sooo good here! I also love that there tarter sauce is house made. I also got a side of okra which also did not disappoint. You can't do wrong with Ikhlas.

We Ubered to Ikhlas because there is a UHaul truck pick-up in the back parking lot. The truck didn't have any keys, so we went inside Ikhlas to wait. The food looked amazing. We had a long wait for UHaul to figure out how to fix their mistake so we ordered lunch. The fried catfish was amazing. They made it fresh to order and I also really liked the hush puppies and coleslaw. Besides the food, the people that work at Ikhlas are awesome, sweet people. They let us hang out there for a couple of hours because we were from out of town, had our baggage, and had nowhere to go until we heard from UHaul. It takes a while to get your food here because they make everything to order, which is a good thing. That allowed us the time to visit with locals who were waiting on their food. I absolutely loved this place for the quality of food and the wonderful people.

I obviously should have read the reviews before EVER patronizing this place, but I failed to do so, & bc of that I have wasted time & gas driving to this establishment, ONLY to receive SHITTY service for the SECOND time around! I initially thought, "everybody says the food is great....so, maybe they're just having an off day"..... but when I returned for a second time, (bc the food WAS in fact, great) the service unfortunately was even WORSE!!! So much so, I canceled my order & left! If you're a person that doesn't care about service, then this place is definitely for you!!! But, if you actually give the slightest shit about spending your money at an establishment where it's appreciated,.....DO NOT patronize this place!!!

This is a Black Owned fried fish spot. It takes soooo long for them to make your food - because they make it FRESH. Everything is made to order and it is GOOD. I am not really a fish eater - my boyfriend wanted it. I had him order me a piece of catfish and I tore it up. Lol. I will return.

I love when I find good places to eat not far from home. My friend recommended this place to me and I am so glad. I did not go there to pick it up but I will make my way over there because the food is great. I had the Whiting and it was great!!! Nice crisp to it and the seasoning was amazing. I am not a fan of coleslaw but it is very uniquely delicious. It was crisp and fresh with a bite to it. If you don't like spicy then order something else but I recommend you at least try it. I would order a tub of that for a party. Thee fried okra was great also. Portion sizes are nice and enough. I will be back again for sure!

I'm very disappointed with their service, trying to tell my son that there wasn't an order placed online. I screenshot the confirmation number and order to my son so that they could see the order. They still insisted there wasn't an order,well I even screenshot the payment info to my son to show them. I politely told my son to tell them to run me my $50.60, my order magically appeared. I won't be returning!!

Finger licking good (yes I said it, don't judge me). This place seems like a local favorite. What they are known for: chicken wings, chicken tenders, white fish etc. I so wanted to get the chicken wings but I knew I would be struggling to finish the wings. Instead I ordered chicken tenders and fries. The different sauce options with the hot chicken was delicious. Sam M ordered a chicken sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The employee at the counter was detailed in describing the menu since we had never been. While waiting for our food, many people ordered the box option of 20 wings for $20 or 10 piece white fish for $20. A lot of patrons did this as a pick up order. We had some time before going to the airport, so we sat in one of the booths. Not much sitting area inside, but outside has some more sitting availability. Overall liked it a lot, will come back here next time in Atlanta.

As long as I lived in East point. I have never ran across this restaurant and I have been missing out!!! This place is the best fish place i been to in a minute. They're doing the best they can with COVID-19 by putting red marks on the ground but other than that there are signs saying wear a mask, and that's it but the FOOD. The food is amazing!!!! I ordered catfish nuggets and a fish salad. It's the best I'm glad I took a picture otherwise there will be no evidence. they give you quality and quantity and I will definitely be back.

Ikhlas Superb Seafood is indeed SUPERB. It's a small seafood joint located in East Point Atlanta. When I arrived, they just opened and there were already several people in the restaurant. They have several fried seafood options and baked goods available. I decided on the whiting combo with shrimp. It comes with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. When my order came up, it was piping hot and smelled awesome. I couldn't wait to dig in! The batter was light, crispy and seasoned to perfection. The portion was very generous. Their homemade hush puppies and coleslaw were delicious! They also make a hot sauce that has a hint of sweetness and it's very good as well. Even their tartar sauce is very tasty. Overall, I had a great experience and I'll definitely be returning soon. The staff was very pleasant and you get a great value for your dollar. FYI: bring cash! There's a 4% charge for using a card

This spot has incredible seafood, pastries and especially bean pies, like back in the days, OMG. The food is so good. This is the spot. A long time friend told me about this last year and my cousin was in town from Maryland so I finally got to go there. I will be going back now as often as possible.

Man if you want delicious seasoned fresh hot cooked fish then come on down to Ikhlas! Everything is cooked to order. Yes this is the sister location of the atlanta fish house and grill off Campbellton Rd! They take cards here but charge a 4% fee. I ordered the 2 pc fish with fried shrimp , Cole slaw and baked beans . The customer services is impeccable. My food took 15 mins around lunchtime. You can always call in your order. I can't wait to order again !

I found this place to be very basic it's nothing to really travel forty five minutes for my friend told me to go there true the prices are a little better than most restaurants serving the same kind of f deep fried food but the chicken and fish tasted like it was cooked together in the same pot had a piece of cake yes dry!!! After my food came up the lady licked her finger to open a bag I grab the food and said I'm straight no bag needed now on a good day I might recommend this restaurant but my experience was bad

I've been patronizing this place since they opened a few years back and never really had an issue. I liked the fact that it was Muslim/black owned, clean, with friendly service, and good food. On my visit today I had the worse service I've had in a long time. There was a young lady with purple cornrows working the front that was beyond rude. I asked about a new side that they offered, and was inquiring on whether I could get that with the combo I wanted. I didn't realize there was an up charge and she said and I quote: "some people don't read". Now mind you their specials are written in chalk on a board so I simply missed it but I was insulted. When I got my food she practically threw it at me without letting me see my food which is the norm when I patronize this place. On top of that they charge you 4% for using a debit card which is ILLEGAL. This was my first bad experience and I've referred a lot of people to this place. I'm not gonna give up on you guys but you have to set a standard for customer service. Please Don't think one employee can't get you shut down!

This used to be my go to spot for some good fried fish. I have not visited in over 10 years and decided to stop by while in the neighborhood. Unfortunately I made a bad decision. The ocean perch was overly breaded and fried extra, extra crispy. I literally had to peel through the layers of breading to get to the fish. When I did get to the fish it was just ok. I forgot to mention the fish was verrry greasy. I forced myself to eat one piece just so I wouldn't feel bad about wasting my money ($13 for a six piece with fries). My mom ordered lemon pepper wings. The wings were overly seasoned, extra crispy and dried out. I really believe the wings were fried once or twice before we came to order..then they fried them again to make them hot. I like to support small or black owned businesses but you have to be consistent with the quality and service to keep the support.

Soooo.....I know I did a previous review and I still stand on the food and quality of the food, but the customer service is AWFUL!! The lady with the colored braids needs to attend a customer service training! I get that it's the hood, but this makes it difficult to make the argument as to why we SHOULD SUPPORT Black-owned businesses! She doesn't even try to hide the fact that she's awful, she doesn't care! I need for them to remember that they aren't the only fish game in town!

Most likely I win not be returning to this place. #1. They Still havent fixed the leak in the Ceiling #2 the fish salad didn't look like the one I had b4 #3 We were sitting in a bar at the bar!!!!! A young lady came out and start filling hot sauce Containers the smell was very strong I had to move #4 And then after waiting 30 to 45 min for our food !!!!!!! On our trip to Atlanta this week we were able to discover some excellent halal options. One of the places that we discovered was Ikhlas Superb Seafood, which had excellent chicken and seafood options. They have two locations in Atlanta and this one is off Cleveland Avenue, a few minutes from the airport. They have plenty of parking and we got there around noon and they were super busy with most customers picking up their orders. We decided to eat there and it took a few minutes for them to prepare our order but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the 4pc chicken tenders with fries, which turned out to really be 5pcs and the chicken sandwich. Both were very delicious and along with plenty of different sauce options, we gobbled down the food in no time. 5 stars, can't wait to try the other location on our next trip back to Hotlanta(Atlanta).

Yesterday I was like: "Today is a real fish day!" Meaning "today is a day for real fried fish cause I got my hot sauce in my bag swag." I was in this area after dog sitting drop off for tge weekend and saw my Yelper family was claiming this place right here was straight legit. I cannot pronounce the name and decided tgat was a factor for cone get your fish on. So I did. First of all if you GPS it you might drive past like I did. No worries, just uturn it into someones driveway like a class act that I am and your good! When I arrived they were still closed. I stood outside in that 120 degree heat prayin my deodorant would keep up for 10 minutes until the doors opened. They open at 12 on Sundays. Environment: The menu was filled with choices! It hits you as soon as you walk in. Fish, shrimp, oysters, scallops oh my! Fries, slaw, etc. But the glass presentation of desserts and cinnamon rolls as big as Don Kings hair!!! Had to try something! Food: I ordered the talapia plate with fries and scallops, german chocolate cake and sweet tea. Lord, the food arrived in front of me with a deliciousness that you would approve of Amen. My fish smelled awesome!!! It was ALOT of fish!! That batter they use?? Please share the recipe. My scallops were huge!!! Fries nice and hot. Those hushpuppies tho!! I could have just eaten that and been happy. The cake??? Gave me sweet dreams last night with a glass of milk! This is a great place for a seafood fix. Don't forget your hot sauce!

They have a charge of 4% for using a credit card. Not supporting anymore.. This is not a good look.

First time I went...waited 25 mins in line, then another 20 mins for the food. Food was DELISH! Pros: Great food! All types of fish! Even slaw was goodt! Cons: Can't order ahead, menu changes as you stand in line.

This place may become a favorite. I love seafood and I'm one of those people who actually likes whiting especially fried whiting. My husband and I decided to give this place a shot. It's across the street from Walmart and looks like your ordinary seafood spot. However, the food is not ordinary. It's seasoned to perfection and they honor requests like fried okra almost burnt. Everything is made fresh to order so no cold or lukewarm seafood here. Piping hot and succulent. And all for a good price. They could raise the prices but I hope not! They also anticipate your needs. I forgot to ask for hotsauce in a to go order and they added it, ketchup as well. Will definitely be eating here again.

First time visiting, was a rainy day and i needed some good ass comfort food! Had the catfish n' shrimp platter which was a FANTASTIC meal. 10/10 will be back for more! Ya'll killin' it. Keep doing You!

I always like when you can grab takeout from a place and it still be super good when you get it to where you're goin! I ordered a 8 pc jumbo shrimp dinner ($9.99+tax) and it came with crinkle fries, two hush puppies, and slaw. Everything was delish! The shrimp were big and I liked that the seasoning wasn't super salty and just enough to give it flavor and they weren't overly fried or greasy. Just a good crunch. The hush puppies were soooo big and had a bit of sweetness to them and the slaw was goooood. I was pleased and liked that they did not mind taking a big group takeout order either.

An UPDATE, I returned to the restaurant and spoke with the owner. She is an absolute treasure. She not only apologized for the actions of her staff, which she assured her best will represent her and Ikhlas from here forward, she gave me my refund and offered me a meal on her. Thank you for treating you customers right & you've earned a customer in me! Ate on the fish all day long.. First time for everything. I loved it!

The young man at the register was very rude for no reason first when he called us to order he said it in a nasty tone. Granted it is a late night and I am out with my family so I understand people being tired and wanting to go home but first off, we didn't do anything to him and second even though we had to look at the menu it still was no reason to trust as if we're that much of a bother to you. He turned us off from the restaurant so bad that we canceled our entire order and left. Needless to say the McDonald's across the street has better customer service.

I came from Houston TX to eat here I come here often I never been treat like so bad until 08/08/21 they gave me old fish hard wings The scallops were not tender they were mushy and old I called and I was told to bring it back and that they would make it right but in stead The worker and the Manager was very rude about it at first they offer to give me my money back but turn around and said that they not but that they would make it right I agree but they made me wait for it the cashier asked where is his food they said we gonna make him wait for so I said no you keep it I'll neverrrrrrrr eat there again and they called themselves MUSLIMS wow

Okay let me just say I'm being petty by giving them a 4 stars cause I had my mouth watering for some Strawberry Shortcake only to find out they were out! . Now onto the food. It was great! Seasoned very well, I loved the batter. I ordered the seafood platter, and it was good. Very filling. It came with Catfish, Shrimp, Oysters, Scallops, fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw. I ordered strawberry cake. My husband ordered the 20/10 platter. Which was 20 wings, 10 pieces of fish and fries for $21.99. It was so much food! He also got a piece a pound cake and strawberry cheesecake. I'll babe to edit the post to review the desserts because we were just too full. We also ordered the mushrooms and onions rings. We enjoyed those. They weren't frozen, you can tell they battered them themselves. I will definitely be back. I've got to get some strawberry Shortcake! ‍

The food is always good. Currently they don't allow inside dining, which is good. Sometimes it's busy so it's good to know what you want to order before you get there. It's easy to find and they have lots of parking. The desserts are very good. If you want bean pie then get it from here! So far I always order the 2/5, two pieces of fish and 5 shrimp. It comes with hush puppies and slaw. The lemonade is also good, I'm not sure if it's real or a mix, but it's good.

They moved around the corner...much nicer, spacious, and cleaner! Ordered 6 pc whiting special with fries for just $5.99! Also ordered fish sandwich and both were delicious!! Food was hot and the wait wasn't bad. This is definitely one of the best fish spots on the southside!!

love this place, I come here a lot and I will continue to come. I'm not scared to order anything because I know everything is good, they can do no wrong, and the portions are huge

This is the best fish place on earth. The place is a secret gem when it comes to getting some tasty fish dinners. I tell everyone about it and I highly recommend it.

This place needs to be shut down immediately! My friend and I accompanied her mother to this restaurant two days ago and not only did they give us tainted food but her mother got very sick as a result. We are contacting the Georgia department of public health on Monday to file a complaint against this restaurant.

Everything has gone downhill I don't know what they are doing inside , but it's disgusting to see the many issues let alone the food being horrible now too.

Hands down the best...Take it from a seafood connoisseur...I waited for my second visit before I gave a review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't being bamboozled n I was not... This place has got the right recipe for everything...I didn't think anyone can make fried oysters as good as Pappadeoux's but I was wrong and don't even let me speak on the perch n shrimp which I was upset because they was out of perch lol so I settled for the whiting which is mostly dry n rubbery everywhere else I tried it but this right here was soft n flaky n seasoned to perfection.... Trust me u got to try this place it's amazeballz‼ Bon appétit n thank me later...

Ok think I'm getting the hang of this whole review thing. I remembered to actually take a photo before I dug in. Ok flew in to Atlanta to see family and friends and my cousin took me to Ikhlas. Well let just say my disciplined eating went out the window for a meal. Food was fresh I had the perch and fries. It's rare when you have fried fish when they cook it just right not over cooked or mushy. They got it right and just the right seasoning. The service was great and friendly. The atmosphere was ok a small sit down maybe room for about 20. Everything seemed to be cooked to order as well. If you want some good southern fried seafood this is your place. Weekend just getting started so stay tuned for more reviews.

ATL....Did I tell y'all I've been coming to this joint since the 90's. Whaaaat? Yes Ma'am and Yes Sir! Over the years it's changed a little. They used to have a special tarter sauce that looked like the Special sauce on a Big Mac with tons of pickles. But it was always kind of warm so my daddy tolde to leave it be. The fish has gotten smaller. But the still give you a box full of, lets just call them baby fish :). But It's cooked perfectly and they are very courteous and kind.

Ordered the flounder and shrimp combo. Fish was a little greasy and could use a little more seasoning. Definitely worth going back to try again.
