"Ikina is a sushi spot in the thick of the Capitol Hill nightlife insanity - but it’s pretty relaxing inside. Sit at the counter in a room full of Japanese room dividers and tie-dyed tapestries. The sushi chefs will likely strike up a conversation with you, and the presentation will make you feel like you’re treating yourself." - Aimee Rizzo

Phenomenal meal and the prices were super fair. We got out the door feeding 3 people for ~ $135 after tax and tip (this included appetizers, soup, 3 rolls, udon & tempura, sashimi, and four bottles of sake). I would recommend the protein roll and udon without a second thought. Sashimi was excellent quality, as was everything found in our rolls. My one complaint is the gentleman serving us first seemed a bit disorganized. We didn't have soy sauce or sharing dishes at first, I think he forgot to bring our food, and he never cleared our dishes. The super nice waitress who helped us out the second half of our meal was outstanding and made up for that! All in all I would definitely recommend Ikina and will be back in the future. Oishii!

The caterpillar roll was delicious !! They were super kind, service a touch slow, but I think they were short on people the night went went. They were able to accommodate a last minute party of 10 reservation! Food was delicious, it's a smaller location, so cozy/homey feel. Had a wonderful time !

I was visiting from Vegas and found this spot with my friend. The fish tasted so fresh and was sliced beautifully. Everything was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. I miss this quality of sushi. The chef really knows his stuff! 👏👏 Couldn't have asked for a better lunch.

Wonderful homey neighbourhood spot for sushi and drinks. Relatively small with seating and sushi bar. We always sit at the sushi bar and order omakase from the sushi chef (if your sushi is getting made by a man with a Mickey Mouse watch then you’re set!). Fish is generally fresh and high quality (we had a slightly iffy fishy smelling uni once, but other than that it’s been great). Besides sushi they have various grilled and fried warm dishes (the grilled mackerel is a favourite) and also have sake, draft beer and other spirits.

Love the food here. Atmosphere is like rock punk meets legit Japan sushi restaurant? Not necessarily the fanciest place but I don't come here for fancy. Consistently good sushi at a good value within quick walking distance of cap hill. And they didn't annoy me as I ate my lunch and listened to podcasts! 6 stars for that.

This place is the best sushi on cap hill bar none. It is better, less expensive, and less crowded than momiji. The chefs are very knowledgeable and personable. I chatted with Jason who recommended my new favorite sashimi (kanpachi). From the rest of the menu I've only had the takoyaki but it was the best I've had in Seattle so if that is any indication it isnt only sushi and sashimi they do well. If you're looking for sushi on the hill this is where you need to go.

Really enjoyed ikina sushi for lunch Eaten dishes: pumpkin dumplings, karaage, chirashi bowl, crispy tofu. Of the 4, pumpkin dumplings were my favorite dish. Chirashi was a bit small at the price point but overall a good experience.

Sat at the sushi bar. Attentive service and tasty sushi. We had five rolls and edamame on a Monday for $35. 👍👍
