Ask tip in a very rude way for this self-service style cafeteria.
The food is good, flavor is tasty, and portion is large enough for one person.
However, the boss or manager makes my experience here not so great.
We did not give tip this time, as we pay at the counter, no water refill requested, no extra service asked.
If you ask for tip, that's fun. However, he should not ask for it with an attitude.
The manager said," if you are in the US, you must give tip, if you are in China, you don't need to."
Oh, That's irritating, and definitely not true. I would like to let you know. Giving tip is a traditional custom, but it is not a legally required enforceable requirement. It's completely voluntary. And by customer only. If we feel there is no service, then we don't think you deserve an extra tip except the dish price.
Besides of that. That's not a professional and good way to treat your customer, especially for long-term. People always can switch to To-Go order to avoid tip. But we still chose to dine in, even if there is almost no service, and we always gave tip before beside this time.
You should pay attention to the sentences you chose, as we are not paying to buy the uncomfortable feeling. And that irritating words of course make you do not deserve a tip, Giving tip is only for good service received and should not be taken as granted wherever in the world!
Never came again.
