The ramen here is solid, especially the soup base, which is packed with flavour. The line can get long, but it’s totally worth the wait. Prices are fair for the portion size, and service is quick with friendly staff. This was my second visit, and the taste has been consistently great. Just a heads-up: if you’re into spicy food, tread lightly with level 4. My husband, who snacks on chilis like nothing, was sweating and couldn’t finish…..it’s seriously intense!

Highly recommended. The best Ramen I tried in Toronto. I ordered the original with premium toppings. Karakae rice is quite good. Fried chicken is juicy yet crunchy. I would ask for separate mayo next time. Gyoza is amazing. It tasted just like what I had in Japan.

I love the chicken ramen from here. I liked the pork (which they sell at one location just a few steps from this one), but definitely prefer the chicken option. I am not hesitant to recommend this option and bring friends here.

Google
Great Ramen I've try in Downtown Toronto. I recommend to order hard for noodle, if you like al dente. Staff are warm and welcome. Not surprise why they have a long line in front.

My coworker and I came here for lunch around 1:30 PM, and luckily it wasn’t too crowded—we got a seat right away. Quick tip: they have two nearby locations—one specializing in pork ramen and the other with “chicken” signage, so make sure you’re heading to the right one based on what you want. It had been a while since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the pork. I usually avoid pork because of its gamey texture, but it was really tender and clean-tasting this time. I ordered the signature tonkotsu ramen, and the first few sips of the broth were rich and flavorful—definitely delicious at first. But after a few more bites, the richness started to feel a bit overwhelming. Next time, I’d probably go for the shoyu version for a lighter option. My coworker got the spicy ramen and debated between level 2 and 3. He ended up going with level 2, and while he can usually handle spice, it didn’t sit well with his stomach afterward. So if you don’t have an iron stomach or prefer milder heat, you might want to play it safe. All in all, it’s still a solid ramen spot. Just be mindful of the richness level when ordering. I’d definitely come back, but try a different broth next time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Authentic Hakata Ramen That Hits the Spot! If you're craving rich, soul-warming tonkotsu ramen, Ikkousha Ramen is the real deal. Their signature Hakata-style ramen features creamy, collagen-rich broth that’s simmered for hours, every spoonful is packed with deep, porky umami. The thin noodles have the perfect chew, and the melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork is simply divine. If you don’t like thin noodles or you think the broth is too salty, you can definitely ask for thicker one and go for the less salty option! I customized mine with extra garlic meat and egg and vege, which took it to the next level. The soft-boiled ajitama egg was another highlight, gooey yolk perfection. The cozy counter seating adds to the authentic Japanese ramen-ya vibe. Service is efficient, and they’re serious about ramen, no frills, just bowls of pure comfort. One of the best ramen spots in town, I’ll be back for sure!

Google
Ikkousha Ramen in Toronto is a standout spot for lovers of authentic Japanese ramen, especially if you’re craving rich, creamy tonkotsu broth. Originally hailing from Fukuoka, Japan, this popular chain brings a true taste of Hakata-style ramen to the city, and it delivers on all fronts—from flavor to atmosphere. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their classic tonkotsu ramen, known for its milky pork-bone broth that’s been simmered for hours. It’s bold, hearty, and deeply satisfying without feeling overwhelmingly heavy. The noodles are thin and firm, served al dente to hold up perfectly in the broth. You can customize the firmness of the noodles and the richness of the broth, which adds a nice personal touch to the experience. One of the highlights is the chashu pork—tender, flavorful, and marbled just right. The seasoned egg is perfectly soft-boiled, and toppings like wood ear mushrooms, garlic chips, and green onions add layers of texture and flavor. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their black garlic ramen or spicy “God Fire” version, which packs a punch without masking the complexity of the broth. The restaurant has a cozy, no-frills vibe typical of ramen shops in Japan. Service is quick and friendly, making it a great spot for a casual meal. Prices are reasonable given the quality, and portion sizes are generous. Overall, Ikkousha Ramen is a must-visit for any ramen enthusiast in Toronto. Whether you’re looking for comfort food on a cold day or a satisfying meal any time of year, this place delivers the real deal.

Google
Had an awesome experience at Ikkousha Ramen Toronto! I tried the spicy veggie ramen and it was absolutely delicious. The service was great too, Super friendly and quick. I’ll definitely be coming back. Just a small suggestion: it would be nice to have a few more vegan side plates, like edamame or similar options, so everyone has something to snack on before the ramen. Otherwise, everything was spot on!

Yelp
I find this gem on Queen street west. When I entered the restaurant, I felt like I were in Japan. Impressive ambiance. I ordered god fire ramen which is spicy. I could choose noodle texture & saltiness as well as spicy level. As I chose what I want, I satisfied with the food so much. Staffs were helpful and kind. Would like to come back!

Yelp
Great authentic ramen shop with tasty broth and noodles. I like that you can customize your ramen from the saltiness and noodle texture, and also with some side condiments. That said, I do think it's somewhat overpriced for the portion (no egg, thin slice of meat). I also found the god fire ramen to be a bit inconsistent because I got the same spicy ramen twice in two weeks and the second time was much spicier than the first time. The space is clean but a bit cramped. Great service.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
I'd give the ramen 3.5/5, the noodles are very close to Ichiran. I got the god fire level 2 and it was a good amount of spice (if you can handle your spice). I'd probably go for level 3 if I were you to go back. I also got the flavoured egg as an extra topping - I wouldn't recommend (not that its not good, just didn't really make a difference in the ramen). The place is small and busy. They made us wait outside before they sat us in. Its very much a sit, eat, leave kinda place

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend were in Toronto for the weekend. And we were craving Ramen on our first night. as the night was chilly so we decided to stop by at this particular Ramen spot. The service was spot on. We honestly didn't wait much outside maybe like 25 to 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. The food was hot and it came out fairly quickly when we come back to Toronto we will for sure be going back to this place. The place itself is small and very intimate, which gives you that cozy feeling. 5/5

Yelp
Two names come up when you talk about ramen in Toronto, one of them being Ikkousha. There are two, one dedicated chicken and their regular menu. I went to Ikkousha Ramen. The space is small and to be expected for a prime Downtown location. We had to wait for a table but it wasn't too long, maybe five minutes. Ordering process was really quick as you note down what you want on a paper and it is delivered to your seat. I went with their more simple ramen, and it was delicious. I think these have been my favourite ramen noodle. I like that you were able to choose how salty the broth was or the texture of the noodles. We also got the gyoza which were delicious I think I finished everything in two bites. The price was reasonable for downtown ramen and honestly would go again.

Yelp
Efficient, attentive and prompt service, fast table turnover. A perfect stop for a quick comfort food craving. Friday night around 8pm, there were a few couples waiting outside before us when we arrived. But we are seated in 3 mins. Ordered: - SIGNATURE TONKOTSU (Noodle texture Hard) - Gyoza - Karaage Tonkotsu ramen's broth was great. Rich, silky and smooth, not oily. But the noodle texture was a bit disappointing. When I order "hard" I expected "al dente" - but it tasted more like "undercooked". The Char Shu was a bit too thin to my liking - and only a few pieces. For regular toppings that expect Japanese ramen such as "shinachiku" "egg", you have to pay extra $. Gyoza and Karaage were ok. Food 3 stars, 4 for the efficient service and well coordinated team work, and the broth. So, 3.5. Very good as a fast comfort food place.

Yelp
We came here for the birthday gyoza and enjoyed some ramens too. The place itself is pretty small, and it can be quite crowded with larger groups. The Black Tonkotsu Ramen that I had was okay. Nothing too unusual, but my friends said that their spicy ramens were pretty good. The gyoza itself was really good. I would definitely come back just to order more of it. The service is pretty quick and food comes pretty fast.

Yelp
One of the best ramen I've had in NA overall hands down. Lively atmosphere with traditional Japanese seating. Food came very quick and servers were kind and great at their job. I miss this place terribly and get hungry just thinking of it.

Yelp
Wowee wow wow, the rave reviews are warranted! It seems that Toronto has many, many options when it comes to ramen but I'm going to put Ikkousha Ramen at the head of the pack. I like things spicy but not so much that it becomes an episode of "Hot Ones," so when considering your tolerance to heat I highly suggest you follow the lead of the staff. I said I could handle the heat and was going to go for level two - I was talked down to one. Good advice. The spice level was perfect - my sinuses were cleared but I wasn't left mopping my brow and downing beer. The pork broth was delicious as was the chashu, the noodles tender - all in all some of the best ramen I've had. The price is more than reasonable and the service is fast, friendly and wise (see previous comment regarding heat).

Yelp
No question - 5 stars!! Very authentic Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen shop. Honestly, tonkotsu ramen served here is very good - tasteful broth, thin noodle which you can ask preference for noodle softness (or hardness). ...well, not only noodle, but broth thinkness, other condiments, etc. I have not eaten this much authentic Hakata style tonkotsu ramen several years. If you have a chance, you should stop by and taste their authentic tonkotsu ramen. Additional note - gyoza was their hand made, made in that store. Each size is small, but easy to bite. They are nice side dish with their ramen.

Yelp
We've never tried chicken ramen so we decided to try this place out. Overall the food was delicious and the staff were prompt and provided great service. I ordered the God Fire ramen ($16) with premium topping ($5.50 for extra egg, meat/cha-su and nori). I can handle spicy and spice level 1 is sufficient/manageable :) . Beyond level 1 may be a challenge. My partner ordered the Tori Miso ramen $16 with extra cha-su for $3. I rate my ramen as 4 out of 5 and my partner rates his a 4.5/5. I think I prefer pork over chicken for ramen but my partner said that this is one of the best ramens he's got. Folks will just have to try. It and decide for themselves ;) the Gyoza and Takana sauce are also a must try!

Yelp
Good ramen place! When you sit down, they have small bins by your table/seat where you can place any bags or jackets which is so nice - reminded me a lot of restaurants in Japan. I got their signature ramen which you can customize by saltiness, spice, noodle firmness, and toppings/additions. It was very tasty and definitely a solid ramen spot.

Yelp
Love love love! The best ramen I have had in Toronto!! I love the tonkontsu broth, it is packed with flavor. The way you order is very simple as well. They give you a piece of paper where you marked down which ramen you want, any toppings, drinks, sides, etc... The service is quite fast as well. Normally your ramen and food will be out within minutes. The place can get very packed and has limited seating. So if you are going on a weekend evening just be prepared to possibly wait in line. However the line normally moves fast and it's worth the wait!!
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
This place is super tiny so be prepared to wait but it worth it. They have baskets under the seats to stick your items in & you get a piece of paper to fill out your order. This location is the pork broth location so make sure if you want the chicken broth you go to the other location. Many add on options even on the table. Menu is limited on what else you can get besides ramen but if you are coming here you are coming for ramen. Soup broth is delicious and all in ingredients are fresh and plenty. Filling and absolutely delicious. I would absolutely come back here again. All staff is super friendly. They did forget my drink even though I checked it off but after we notified them it took them about 5 minutes to bring it over. The staff knows limited English so please be patient with them.

Yelp
Nice ramen place! We came here on a weekday only about 20 mins after opening but it was also completely packed! Totally unexpected, so definitely plan your trip if you can. I heard lots of this place being super delicious, but perhaps it was the god fire broth I chose that don't quite meet my expectations. The broth felt oily/fatty in a non-pleasant way, where it coated the inside of my mouth and felt like it stuck to my lips if licked them. The flavour itself was very nice, but it was the feeling of it that I found a bit unpleasant. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth delicious though! Definitely recommend getting the premium toppings to get extra pork and a delicious ramen egg. One thing I thought was odd was the noodles--they feel like a thin egg noodle vs. a ticker ramen noodle. The noodles are good, but didn't quite meet my expectation of ramen. I may come back to try again, or visit one of their other global locations, but probably not anytime soon.

Yelp
This place was a gem in downtown Toronto. It's a little bit of a walk from Union Station but well worth it. Tables are limited, but if you're willing to sit at the bar area, you can get a seat a little quicker. The ramen is wonderful, but the one thing I think they can improve on is fountain drinks versus just getting a single can, and a cup of ice. That's a minor issue, but with salty ramen, I tend to drink more than 12 ounces of liquid to compensate.
google avatar

JC C.

Yelp
Don't know why there's two stores serving different broths and what not. Got quite confused. Anyways, went to the chicken store. Had no taste, would not recommend. Maybe pork side is better.
google avatar

Jimmy T.

Yelp
Tasty spot for ramen and bonus if you come on your birthday. They offer you gyoza for the age you are if you have 4 people with you. I ordered the god fire ramen with 4 peppers and I'll say I was expecting more heat. It was fairly mild for the peppers but the broth was delicious. The gyoza was the groups favourite part too. Very crispy and flavourful.

Yelp
Stopped by during a weekday lunch and there was a slight wait. The interior is quite small with limited seating and a narrow hallway for the servers or diners to walk through. Because my friend and I were given aisle seats facing the wall, it was a little difficult to talk to one another. There were also no coat hooks or space for jackets so they were draped on the stools that we sat on. A paper menu is given to each patron to mark off their order (choice of ramen broth, thick or thin noodles, noodle texture, saltiness, additional toppings, and extra noodles if preferred). This ordering system made it easy and efficient for them to place the order without error during the lunch rush. I had the Black Tonkatsu with a flavoured egg, which I found overly salty as I had to drink water several times during the meal as well as after. The broth was decent, but not as rich and thick as I would have liked, though the garlic flavour was great. The pork was on the leaner side and nothing special. A good helping of noodles came with the dish and we left with our bellies full. Coming in with high expectations due to the hype, I can say the meal was decent but nothing extraordinary.
google avatar

Alyanna M.

Yelp
One of the best bowls of ramen I've had outside of Japan! This place made me feel like I was back in Japan, from their sign on the outside to the ambiance inside the place. They also have toppings at the table which reminded me of ramen spots in Japan. They also have additional free sides you can ask for, pickled ginger, garlic, etc. We tried the god fire ramen (level 1), which was a great level of spice for me without being too overpowering. The black king tasted amazing with a garlic flavor. The chicken karaage was juicy & the batter tasted flavorful. We enjoyed this place so much that we've been missing it ever since we left Toronto. Also wanted to note, We got lucky & didn't have to wait at all when we arrived. We came on a Monday around 1pm & were seated right away. However, by the time we left the place, there was a bunch of people waiting for a table. It is a small spot so keep that in mind & you might have to wait a bit. They also have the same ramen place that caters to only chicken which was 2 spots next door.

Yelp
I've been to the location that serves the chicken ramen but never this one! It has been on my ramen list for so long though and finally I was in the area the other day! There's always a line here, but in my experience it moved pretty quickly. Upon sitting down, my boyfriend and I quickly ordered (it's a form that you fill out which makes it very easy) the following: - Handmade gyoza (5 piece): Unfortunately I found the gyoza to be subpar. The taste was fine and you can tell that it was handmade due to how thin the wrapping was. However, the 5 gyoza are stuck together (assuming they were premade and frozen) and it falls apart when you try to break them up. Also, the top of the wrapper was not sealed properly so the meat would fall out and you can't get all the delicious meat juice! The spicy sauce on the side was very nice though, I think there was a hint of yuzu which made it refreshing. I think there is definitely room for improvement here. 6/10 - Signature tonkotsu and gyokai tonkotsu (both with premium toppings): I'm grouping the review of these two together because they are very similar. Obviously got premium toppings because we are a hungry bunch! Overall the broth was super flavourful and the noodles were chewy. Pork was soft but not mushy and a good thickness. The gyokai tonkotsu was my favourite as it has that extra fish broth flavour and bamboo shoots. My one qualm is that the "flavoured egg" seems to just be a soft-boiled egg, but I might be wrong. Overall 8/10 Do note however my ramen review above contains the premium toppings which cost an additional $5.50. Without this I believe you only have one piece of cha siu and one piece of seaweed, no egg, with the spring onions/fungus/bamboo shoots. I think I would leave a bit unsatisfied if I went with the base case. All in all, this place is definitely worth lining up for! If you can't wait, you can also visit the other location for chicken ramen just down the street (I believe it's typically less busy). I would say this is one of the top three ramen spots in the GTA!

Yelp
Excellent ramen! The soup and noodle were so perfect. However, I find the portion is on the smaller side. I even added an extra noodle & egg and I was still not full. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant itself is cosy but a bit tiny, it may be hard to fit a larger group.

Tang P.

Yelp
I wrote a 5 star review earlier in 2024 but I guess the latest visit (2nd Jan night)has to be 3 star instead. I visit this store once every two months or so. Ramen is as good as always which is why there is 3 stars. Tonkotsu and gyokai tonkotsu is always good. But I am aware of the price increase, the ramen and topping increase felt acceptable but the increase on others such as side menu and drinks felt a little bit too much. The increase is big as $2 per item which is quite big percentage wise. Service is not as good as before, water is not filled even once yesterday.
google avatar

Sophie T.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We visited when it was cold out, so it was a nice, warm cozy environment to pause and eat some hot food. I got the Karaage Dan which was deliciously flavorful and tender. A favorite at our table was the God fire ramen. The ramen was rated very good by the ramen lovers in our party. The restaurant was pretty busy so while that was reflected in the service, we had a great time! -@cophiescrumbs on insta

Yelp
Best ramen I've had for a while! I got the Tonkotsu ramen, and the soup base was so flavorful and creamy - just the way I wanted! Service was so kind and food was served fairly fast . I really liked how they gave you options to customize lots of details for your ramen, in order to accommodate to your liking as much as possible. For example, you could choose the toppings as well as the texture of the noodles that you prefer (hard, normal, soft) It's a small store, but it has a decent amount of seats
google avatar

Valerie P.

Yelp
This ramen place was super authentic and loved the food they served here! The ramen was plentiful in terms of portion size. The flavour of the broth was amazing - you can easily differentiate the different ingredients that comprised the well balanced-broth. There was also a good amount of meat provided with the ramen which is a good plus.

Yelp
How incredible my first visit to Ikkousha Pork Ramen in Toronto was! I rolled up around 2:30 on Sunday it was cray-cray packed. Those Japanese ladies were not only adorable, but also sooo polished. I placed my order, and boom, in just 10 minutes, my piping hot bowl of ramen arrived, very efficiency! The pork broth was heaven in a bowl, I couldn't resist upgrading to the premium toppings for just $5, highly recommend because it's absolutely mouthwatering!

Yelp
Is there such thing a chicken and pork ramen restaurant? To my delight and suprise there's such a thing same name, owner and decor. Just in case you didn't see pork or chicken in the menu then you are in the wrong restaurant. We ordered the regular and black garlic ramen and feeling a bit hungry we ordered a round of 10 PC's gyoza. The gyoza is relatively small compared to the regular ones in others ramen shop and the skin is very deliciate, it breaks up easily. The ramen broth and noodles are good nothing out of the ordinary except you have to pay extra for a soft boiled egg with your ramen. Staffs are very friendly and real Japanese nationals hands down to the chef.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. It was a full house, but a spot for two just opened up. Service was great, food was great and our order came out relatively quick. Would come definitely come back again.

Yelp
Delicious with great menu options. We went to the restaurant that had pork based broth. Just a couple of units down the street is another one that has chicken noodle dishes. I knew when I saw a lineup out the door that it was going to be good, and the food did not disappoint! It is a narrow restaurant, might not be suitable for those with mobility aids. Please call them ahead of time to check on that if you are going. Ramen was so delicious. Service is very quick. Busy spot, not a place to lounge but really worth visiting. Lots of places to visit in the area, including The Rex Jazz Bar right across the street.

Yelp
Authentic Japanese ramen ! the soup and noodles were very flavourful and great! the service and ambiance is casual and love all bright the restaurant is :)

Yelp
"Do you want to try the pork one or the chicken one?", I asked the little ones (I was referring to the two Ikkoushas along Queen Street). I was secretly hoping that they would choose the chicken one (two doors down) because I've already tried the original Ikkousha four years ago when they first opened. Even though I walked away impressed back then, I've been longing to try their chicken ramen, but is almost never in the area. Four years later, I walked away satisfied, but not as impressed. Reasons? Maybe, the novelty has worn off? Perhaps Toronto's ramen game have really stepped up in the past four years or my kids didn't order what I would have liked. Nonetheless, they still delivered a solid ramen. My favourite part of their ramen is their noodles (4 years ago it was the soup). It's a skinnier type of noodle with a good chew to it. The god fire ramen that my older one ordered was quite spicy even at two chilies. They didn't lie about it being extremely spicy. I can't even imagine what four chillies would be like. Aside from the heat, the tonkotsu soup was rich. I generally liked it, but it's just a bit out of my comfort level. My younger one ordered a shio tonkotsu ramen. I'm not sure if it's because he ordered the light version of the soup, the soup was lacking a bit of flavour and was heavy on white pepper taste. I was really holding out hope that I could ditch my family temporarily to try the chicken place. That's why I paid $2.50 to add noodles to one of my kid's bowl so that I won't be completely full. I ended up blending the two soups for mine so that I can enhance the flavour and reduce the heat. I have no recollection of the portions from four years ago, but their normal noodle portion and the extra noodle add on were quite generous. Just when I thought the hope of me escaping to the chicken place was dashed, an ethereal, pure, but yet familiar voice asked, "can I have some of the noodles from my brother's bowl (as the younger one was struggling to finish his bowl), dad (meaning I don't have to fulfil my daddy duty of finishing my kids' leftover)? ". The glimmer of hope resurfaced and I knew that was my cue to ask my SO whether I can excuse myself (for those who are interested, check out my Ikkousha Ramen Chicken review). When I returned, I was at least able to try a one bite gyoza that my SO ordered after I left. The pan frying was done well, the flavour is solid, but I wish it had a slightly meatier texture. After that of course I happily footed the bill and everyone went home happy (or at least daddy got what he wanted...so I'm happy).

Yelp
Loved this place. There are two Ikkousha restaurants practically next to each other (two buildings in between) one is for Pork and one is for Chicken. We went to the Ikkousha Pork place. All the staff greet you as you arrive. It's get pretty busy and as the inside is quite small, you have to wait outside. We waited ~15 mins and it is definitely worth the wait. We had Gyoza - excellent! Ramen is amazing. Definitely stop into this place if you get a chance.

Yelp
A popular Ramen franchise and the only one located in Canada. Known for the quality of their ramen and broth we were excited. Plenty on indoor seating available, however do be informed that at peak dinner time you can expect to wait outside. Order process is straight forward from Ramen type, flavoring, noodle texture etc. I had their God Fire, normal (noodle type) which was not only spicy but the flavor of the ramen broth was delicious. Do note Normal texture will be a little al-dente, but nonetheless delicious. While my wife had their classic ramen, we shared a side order of gyoza. Overall service was fast, friendly and very efficient. Price is very reasonable! Would highly recommend

Yelp
Let me start by saying I LOVE ramen. I lived in Japan for a bit and have tried a variety of ramens. That said I was underwhelmed by this particular ramen. Now I understand that Pork Ramen is naturally going to contain more of that traditional flavor so for that reason I got the black garlic chicken ramen. Unfortunately it was almost flavorless. So much so that I sniffed the food to make sure I didn't secretly have covid. The karage was good. The gyoza was good. Sapporo was what you expected. The ambience is nice. The staff is very friendly. The food is reasonably priced. This is actually my second time trying this spot and the first time I went with a friend who had never been to a proper Ramen shop and I remember him saying "he didn't get it." I tried again but not sure there will be a third.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Ifs authentic and the broth is so creamy with heavy chicken flavour. The egg is flavourful. We ordered takoyaki as well. Food came quick and service is always decent.

Yelp
Ramen is soo good! I got the black garlic and it was super flavourful and light. The broth is not too salty and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Service is quick and the restaurant vibes are nice!

Yelp
I would say Ikkousha Ramen is the best ramen in North America. I've been to Japan several times and I can say Ikkousha Ramen's taste is very authentic. Be aware of the pork broth in this store and don't be shocked by its extremely strong flavour. At first, you will think: how's that possible? Is this the taste of paradise? Then you'll be addicted to it. The fried chicken is also yummy. Unlike fried chicken in North America, Japanese-style fried chicken is juicy and fully marinated. Give it a try. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Came here for the birthday promotion where you get free gyozas the same number as your age! We got the Signature Tonkotsu Ramen which was just okay (a little bland), and the Black Tonkotsu Ramen which was really good (flavourful and not super salty)! This is also the first place we've been to that allowed us to choose the noodle texture too! However, they did not have the option to choose noodle thickness. The Gyozas were also the best that we've ever had! Super crispy and juicy and bite-sized!

Yelp
Another ramen place down. I'm determined to try all the ramen places in the city! We ordered Ikkousha off of UberEats. First impression upon receiving our order - they were meticulous with the packaging! Each of our orders had our names on it with little piggies drawn on the lids. One thing that other ramen places don't pay that much attention to is the nori. This nori was packaged in cling wrap so it wouldn't get soggy! I enjoyed the broth here. Well developed flavours. I tend to not finish the broth but I found myself trying my darndest to lol. The only thing I want to be critical of is the cha shu slices. I would prefer if they were the thick cut ones but they actually did taste grilled which gave it that extra dimension.

Yelp
This is a popular ramen place downtown that serves pork ramen. They have a chicken based shop a few stores down. Pros: + Great flavor. Chasu and noodles are cooked well. + Not too salty. + Gyoza is surprisingly good! I recommend to get it! + Comes with some condiments as well. + Can customize dish to your liking. Cons: - Average price. Doesn't come with egg. - Ramen is quite rich / heavy.

Yelp
Back after so long! Had their chicken God Fire 3/4 ramen and so I wanted to try their 4/4 spicy ramen! It was bearable and the broth was so flavourful and rich. The broth was quite thick as well so next time I think I'll ask for the light soup. In addition, I asked for the normal firmness for the noodles and it was a little bit too hard for me but still very enjoyable. My friend and I shared the gyoza which came out piping hot and was beautifully complimented by the gyoza sauce. Will definitely return! But next time I'll likely get the 3/4 God Fire spiciness and pay $5.50 extra for their premium toppings. Service was great as usual.

Yelp
Excellent ramen. Simple with classic flavours. The servers were super kind and accommodating with my kid, too. This is the spot for casual vibes with great food. Will absolutely be back.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to come downtown to try something different. So we decided to check out this place. It was quite a while since we were hanging out freely on Queen West. We walked in and this place was bustling with people. We got a seat by the wall/bar and we started looking over their menu. I like how meticulous the menu is (I get to choose the amount of al dente my noodles can be). Anyhow, we ordered our food and we began to chow down. The noodle tasted amazing! Broth was not salty at all. Karaage and the gyoza were amazing too! Hoping they will open a store uptown.

Yelp
Only one in canada. Authentic ramen which is very customizable. Good flavors but lacking in ingredients. There ramen are good. Broth is tasty and delicious and noodles are cooked to order. I found the ramen bowls had minimal ingredients and to make a bowl really good. You had to add a bunch of add ons. Like a egg was one included in any of the ramen bowls. And the bowls were basic if nothing was added on to them. Bc of this a decent bowl is over $25. It's a good option. But I liked the casual atmosphere. Seating was very tight and people seated beside you are literally right beside you. It's definitely not a place for a private convo with friends or significant others. Despite this. It was enjoyable to me. And I liked it. Good solid ramen which did not disappoint if you don't mind paying for the upper cost of it. I would like this place better if the standard bowl just had more toppings on it!

Yelp
Extremely popular spot internationally. For good reason too. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was fortunate to get a table for 4 without waiting. They have another shop down the street that specializes in the Chicken based broth but we opted for this one which is the pork based location. Ordered the signature tonkotsu ramen with extra noodles. The broth was really rich and thick. I typically like a lighter broth but this one was really good overall. Noodles were nice and chewy. There weren't as many ramen toppings as I would've liked, both variety wise (i like bamboo shoots) and quantity wise so it was kinda just the pork, noodles and ramen. More of a 3.5 star review but the broth is really quite nice and you get a lot of selection in terms of additional toppings (eggs, extra cha siu etc.) as well as choice on the noodle texture/chewiness.

Yelp
Really flavorful ramen. There are like 7 different broth to choose from, and you get to customize the saltiness level, noodles texture, and toppings. I like the normal salt level, but if you are unsure, I'd recommend choosing light, then add the ramen sauce to your bowl to make it saltier. The meat is cut very thin. The egg is a little disappointing since it is a little overcooked.

Yelp
I'll have to say I'm prejudiced because I love spicy food. It's very rare that Japanese places can actually make spicy food that live up to the amount of spicy level that they advertise. I chose only level 3 and I was already pleasantly surprised. It's also salty enough as I really love salty food. If you don't think it's salty enough there is a sauce for soup that adds more flavour. The side dish of salted veggies and garlic mash were just great. The food was served in a reasonable time even though it was very packed. The noodle size cannot be chosen, but since I like soft noodles so the thinner noodles are good for me as they soften more easily. I recommend.
