Il Bambini Club - Review - Shoreditch - London - The Infatuation

"Il Bambini Club is a Paris export that looks (OTT light fittings) and sounds (‘Giant Lemon Meringue Pie’ on the menu) so much like aBig Mamma spotthat ‘who wore it best’ comparisons are inevitable. You can find this Italian restaurant, and its truffle cream tagliatelle, inside The Hoxton hotel in Shoreditch." - Sinéad Cranna

Bambini Restaurant is a delightful gem in central London that truly captures the essence of Italian cuisine. Rustic decor and soft lighting that create a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The menu is a celebration of traditional Italian flavors, featuring handmade pasta that’s cooked to perfection. The **Tagliatelle al Ragu** is a standout, with rich, savory sauce that clings beautifully to each strand. For pizza lovers, the **Margherita** is a must-try—crispy crust topped with fresh mozzarella and fragrant basil. Service is attentive without being intrusive, adding to the overall experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, eager to recommend wine pairings that elevate the meal. Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner or a family gathering, Bambini Restaurant offers a memorable dining experience that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into Italy. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine!

I was so happy when one of my favourite restaurants in Paris was opening a branch in London! While it didn’t have the same magic as the Paris branch, the food was delicious, the drinks were nice and the Tiramisu was lovely – though there was far too much cocoa powder on top (a thick layer rather than a dusting). The thing that really let our visit down was the service, the lady serving us demanded our drinks order within minutes, we asked for sparkling water and she said she’d come back for our full drinks order. She never came back with our water or to take any form of food/drink order (for at least 10 minutes). No one else served us until we called the host over to place our order. He then brought our water and our food arrived before the rest of our drinks. The original female server then came towards the end and topped up my sparkling water with still water. Despite her originally taking our water order. The food was delicious from start to finish, as were our cocktails, but lot of work needs to be done to improve service for it to match the Paris branch. Oh, and we were charged £10 for service charge despite the chaotic service 😅.

It gave Luxury Italian Vibes. The food was lovely, I even had dessert and I don’t usually have dessert. The restaurant was beautiful with dim lighting and a luxury Italian ambience. Service was great with nothing to fault. Will definitely return!

As a regular at Bambini Paris and Paris Society, I am shocked and outraged by the poor quality of this restaurant. Having booked for New Year's Eve with my fiancé, we were shocked by the service. Procedures were not followed at all, there were no head waiters, and the music was deafening. The food was awful, with two disgusting tomato-based dishes. I didn't eat anything, and the waitress didn't ask me about it. This restaurant should be banned and avoided, as it tarnishes the reputation of Paris Society!

Went for Sunday lunch. MUST try the porchetta. The rest of the food was also great. Very friendly service. Perfect for a Sunday relax lunch.

Such lovely decor, food and overall experience! Celebrated my friend’s birthday there and had the best time. Special thanks to Pablo and his female colleague who were so attentive and sweet, always topping up our water and happy to help. They made the night even more special by adding a birthday candle to our Tiramisu so that we could sing Happy Birthday to our friend. A 10/10 experience, we really enjoyed the fun wall art and photo booth as well 😋🥳

The food is below average, everything was tasteless. We had zucchini fritti, focaccia, lemon chicken and a pizza and would not reccomend a single thing. We were served our starter and side before our two drinks of margaritas arrived. When we were served our mains we had no cutlery and the waiter didn’t notice, we were sat for ages before the host noticed and gave us some. Food and service very poor. Would definitely avoid!
