"This tiny Italian spot has been around since the ‘80s, and it’s possible the giant bowl of candy at the bar has been too. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for large portions of classic pastas. Our favorite is the beef lasagna. It has thick layers of al dente pasta and the ideal ratio of beef, ricotta, and alfredo. If you finish it in one sitting you should consider trying out for a competitive eating contest. If lasagna isn’t your thing, create your own pasta bowl by choosing a pasta, sauce, and toppings. Prices are pretty reasonable. Those bowls start at $13, and the lasagna is just under $16. It's not the fanciest Italian restaurant in Miami. But it's a casual and comfortable spot that’s great for a night out with the family." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

"This tiny Italian spot in a Bird Road strip mall has been around since the ‘80s, and it’s possible the giant bowl of candy at the bar has been too. But the dining room is modern, with its black ceiling, bouncy booths, and slate walls. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for large portions of classic pastas. Our favorite is the beef lasagna. It has thick layers of al dente pasta and the ideal ratio of beef, ricotta, and alfredo. The top layer is completely covered in even more melted cheese, and if you finish it in one sitting you should consider trying out for a competitive eating contest. It was my first time here. I am not a big fan of Italian food but, that changed with il bambino. The service was great and FAST. The food was fresh & DELICIOUS. Jose was BEYONG amazing. He found out it was our first time here and treated us to a dessert. Tiramisu is hit or miss…. Here I HAD 2. I cant wait to come back and eat here again. Love this place.

Google
A quaint little ltalian restaurant with homemade cuisine just west of the Palmetto Expressway on Bird Road. since 1989. Boasting authentic flavors and warm, family-style hospitality, ensuring every meal feels like home. Beautiful decor and atmospher with excellent service. Maybe more for special occasions as on the more expensive side for Italian restaurants. I had one of the best Lobster Ravioli that I have ever had, with a slab of lobster in the middle of the plate, but it was a special so may not always be available. Definitely worth a visit for Italian food lovers.

Google
We ordered the shrimp and chicken Parmesan which was delicious. Also, the service was great! Jose was great and super helpful! He makes an incredible cappuccino!!

It was my first time visiting this restaurant for a work lunch with a group of 10 colleagues. Jose, the manager was incredibly accommodating and ensured we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent! Every dish was very fresh and delicious. I had the grouper francaise with mushrooms as my side. The grouper was lightly breaded with just the right amount of sauce. The mushrooms were large and freshly seasoned. Service was outstanding! I definitely will be returning to Il Bambino.

My fiancée and I were burdened with an overnight layover in Miami... but our bartender Jose here made the trip worth it ! Not only does he have an amazing friendly attitude that welcomes you like you are home; his sangrias are delicious. (:

Google
Ordered the shrimp fra diavolo. These folks have never eaten this dish prior to putting it on their menu. Paid $21 for offensively small shrimp and absolutely no spice. Sad…

Google
My parents have been going here for over 20 years, and their waiter has been the same, Mr.Jose!! He is AMAZING!! The food is great, the atmosphere is great, service and attention 10/10. Take my word for it, i’m the pickiest person but this food is sooo good!! Everytime we come Jose is happy to see us and makes us feel like family. We have moved further from where the restaurant is located but we make the drive to dine here! I recommend this restaurant all the time!

The food was Delicious the service was incredible. Jose was an excellent server. I definitely will come again to this restaurant and bring my family on-special occasion.

Yelp
I love this restaurant ! Food is amazing and service and ambience is nice. Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp added was fantastic. My 5yo loved since it didn't have black pepper. Gnocchi w pink sauce was great. The chicken Parm was great as well. Let my hands down favorite is the Fiocchi and salmon piccata

Viviana P.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times and the food never disappoints. My absolute favorite is their lasagna, it's so creamy and flavorful! I have yet to try the chicken lasagna but that's next on my list. Their chicken parm is also delicious and the perfect size.

Niccole T.

Yelp
The food is amazing, I've tried many Italian restaurants before but I believe this is the best one so far. I'm always recommending it to friends and family and they all love it as well. There's also never been a time when the service was bad, plus the ambience is relaxing, peaceful and intimate. I really recommend this restaurant if you're trying to have a good time and enjoy a nice meal.

Jorge A.

Yelp
We found the food to be mediocre , the service was excellent . The sangria was outstanding. The quality of the food is just not there. It's OK for the price. It's a neighborhood local restaurant, I would not drive out of the way to go there. The ambience was pleasant and inviting. I am giving four stars due to the excellent service that we received .

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Food was (mostly) fantastic - service was slow. We absolutely loved the caprese salad. The cheese and tomatoes were extremely fresh. The bread that they brought out as an appetizer was cold and it was very evident they didn't put the bread in the oven so it tasted terrible. I ordered the bolognese which was a HUGE portion for one person and definitely enough for leftovers or to split. The rest of my party ate meatballs and the lasagna which were really good according to everyone. The chocolate cake was very rich but was great. The biggest downfall of the restaurant was the service. It was painfully slow. Although we were seated immediately, it was downhill from there. The waiter kept forgetting to bring water for us, forgot to bring small plates, forgot utensils, forgot about us for long periods of time. We had to keep reminding him to bring us things we had repeatedly asked for. At one point, my dad couldn't even eat his lasagna for at least 10 minutes because the utensils were never brought and he eventually got up and requested them from a different employee. Had the food not been great, I'd be giving this one star. If you decide to come here, pack your patience.

Yelp
This place is delicious! They must have new owners/chef. I had not been in years, but now we go like once a month. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and it's pleasant. Live music is a little loud for my taste. But overall yummy little place for delicious Italian food.

Ledya Z.

Yelp
My coworker showed me this place during our lunch through door dash. Can I just say this is one of my FAVORITE spots for pasta? I got it today again for lunch because it's so darn good. You can build your own pasta as well which is pretty cool due to some people being picky eaters. I always get the chicken cabnora with fettuccine and the service is so quick and prompt to attention.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Amazing true and authentic Italian food! Always made to order and fresh! Plenty of parking.

Mercedes C.

Yelp
Blind price menu. What you see online IS NOT WHAT YOUR BILL WILL BE LIKE. waitresses hovering over us I felt rushed. Not at all a good experience. The food does not warrant the high prices. Don't go there.

Event X Llc W.

Yelp
The food is tasty. The sauce is also tasty not tangy. The ravioli stuffed with ricotta is also good. I also learned that the pasta is bought from Italy. The service is prompt. The ambiance is nice quaint. The restaurant is hidden in a strip mall. Worth the trip. Note to the restaurant: I would play classic Italian and Italian American pop music. Not modern pop. That is the only downfall.

Amanda E.

Yelp
Service was not that great here. The waiter never came back to see if we needed anything. No offer to refill drinks. He avoided eye contact the whole time. The food was lacking salt. All three of us agreed. Known of the pasta had much flavor. The chicken was good. But that was basically it. I would not return.

Honorio P.

Yelp
Spectacular and very economic experience. Food quality was great as well as service. Ahhh and the guitar player was excellent. Very nice ambiance...just a little too cold, but changed when asked. Cat wait to visitar again.

Yelp
I stopped here for lunch before my dentist appointment, since it's in the same shopping plaza. Since I wasn't really hungry - and what I was facing a few doors down - I just ordered water, minestrone and their meatball appetizer. My waiter did tempt me into a limoncello for a sweet bite. It's definitely a neighborhood restaurant / family restaurant vibe, with sappy 80s songs (think Air Supply) as the soundtrack. No bells and whistles, but relaxed attentiveness. My waiter came by and checked a couple of times, and accommodated service with the fact that I had to rush out to their neighbor the dentist. The meatballs I enjoyed were tender, juicy and with a generous helping of marinara sauce as well as a sprinkling of basil and powdered mozzarella. My minestrone soup was a light, nicely seasoned broth with a good amount of veggies. Drizzled with a berry compote, the limoncello cake was slightly jiggly and a pleasant sweetness.

Yaglin S.

Yelp
We've been coming to this place for many years as well as order takeout. It's a hit or miss type place because if you walk in and it's full the service will be terrible. We try to make it before 7pm for dinner. Minestrone soup is always very tasty although I've had my share of cold soups but tonight's was perfect. The salmon with olive oil linguine is usually my order and I feel that it's gotten tasteless this year. My oldest had the chicken parm with penne pink pasta, she loved it! She said it was perfect today just the way she likes it without a gallon of red sauce on the chicken. My husband tried the blackened snapper and it was over seasoned. Just the blackened seasoning over the fish. For dessert my family enjoyed the chocolate cake. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture pictures of any other food than the soup bc we just dug in as soon as the plates hit our table. Staff is always very nice and welcoming, greeting you as soon as you walking the door. It's a family friendly restaurant.

Alex R.

Yelp
Great clean place. The food is great. Has tradition and modern Italian. The lasagnas are great. Both the meat and the vegetable one have a homemade taste. Delicious. Service is great especially great for large parties. You can plan in advance and have a limited personal menu for large parties. Fantastic experience.

Ana P.

Yelp
I visited Il Bambino today and it was fabulous. It had declined in quality a while ago but under this new owner the food is A+. I had the Salmon croquettes and beef lasagna- absolutely divine! I am going to be a regular especially when they have live music on Wed and Thursdays. Keep up the quality food and service

Michelle R.

Yelp
First time here and there was only one server. We were a table of 7. We ordered mozzarella cheese, and it was just Ok, it tasted a little old. My husband ordered a snapper pasta he said it tasted like rubber shoes! I ordered the pear pasta it was horrible and hardly had any sauce. My daughter had the spaghetti and meat sauce with mozzarella cheese. We asked for extra sauce for my dish that was very dry and it took forever!!!!! We didn't order any drinks and our bill was $86 for 2 adults and a child! We won't be back!

Francisco A.

Yelp
Not a good dining experience; pasta faglioli soup was plain, mostly water, little beans or pasta. Spinach lasagna mostly cheese, no spinach.

Diego C.

Yelp
Went recently with a friend and got served by an older woman who just treated us like she was annoyed to serve us and just tried to get us if if there as quickly as possible maybe because we're both younger (both 20) but still I don't think that was reason to like be like that. Also, the food was just meh, I got veal something and my friend got the salmon and they weren't bad but they weren't good, just Mid. However the place was nice looking so that's something.

Lindsey I.

Yelp
Just ordered from here off of Uber eats and found a hair in my pasta. I'm literally SICK to my stomach. Will never go here or order from them again.

Gelsis N.

Yelp
I had not been back in years. The place looks nice with a bar. Spinach lasagna was delicious with lots of cheese and my husband's create your pasta with prosciutto and garlic sauce he found very delicious too. House wine was pretty good. The waiter Jose is still there, professional and polite and a great service from everyone with reasonable prices. My husband ate all the bread! Ha! They had other nice specialties. Nice neighborhood Italian restaurant that I will continue to recommend.

Anthony T.

Yelp
My favorite place for delicious Italian! I usually get takeout ,easier for me with my schedule. However the service seems very thorough and the staff is accommodating. It's not a large venue but homey and not noisy like other places.

Ashley O.

Yelp
Cute, cozy little Italian restaurant. You can tell from the conversation between employees and guests that this restaurant has many regulars (which to me is always a good sign). I went for an early dinner on a random Thursday night and there was a decent crowd inside but not overly crowded. I ordered the veal francese with Alfredo linguini. The bread before the food was delicious! Portions were great and the food was pretty good. The taste is somewhere between fast Italian and authentic Italian, if that makes any sense. I wouldn't mind coming back again for a midweek dinner.

Silvana M.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in years (I moved away). Today I came by. Not only was the place completely remodeled but the food was still so good! The service was spectacular. Guys! My server from when I was a kid was my server today!!! The ambiance felt like home. They had Christmas carols playing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Come by yourself, with your family (kids friendly) or friends. This restaurant has been in business since 1989! Such a gem in Westchester. Oh and though they have a great wine list, corkage is $30 if you want to bring your own. Enjoy!

Rick P.

Yelp
Ok enough Italian food for take out. Ordered the chicken Francese and it was ok. It's always hard to tell with take-away to be honest and fair. The meal overall was filling and did it job. I won't be in a hurry to repeat this experience.

Diana S.

Yelp
Amazing quality of food and service! One of my favorite Italian restaurants at the moment. Very calm and friendly ambiance. The owner and staff are all very friendly and attentive. I 100% recommend this place when in the mood for Italian food, they will never disappoint.

Rachel P.

Yelp
I have actually only ordered take-out from here and it's been good. Nothing out of this world, but a good Italian option in that location. The piccata dishes (both chicken and salmon) are very flavorful!

Mary F.

Yelp
The food was great and the dessert. I came in with my 3 friends. One of my friends had a red snapper with linguine and glass of red wine. Two of friends had a beef lasagna and I had a chicken lasagna. The food was great. The waiter that serve us was very nice and they bought us garlic and parmesan bread. For dessert I had the tiramisu. It was delicious definitely coming back.

space f.

Yelp
Customer service was really good; the cheese ravioli with pink sauce very good , the fiocchi was amazing; I recommend the restaurant.

Julian A.

Yelp
The lemonade had distinctive weird taste. The food took long and the service was not good. When we got sat down it took them long to attend us. The server also had a very rude attitude.

David F.

Yelp
Best chicken parm. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Would definitely eat here again

Ramiro R.

Yelp
Great place to have delicious Italian food! A friend told me about this place and I loved it. Kudos for Yuda, our waitress on Friday night, who did a great job explaining the dishes and taking care of us. I will be back soon.

Giselle C.

Yelp
Came here for a graduation dinner and it was great! The food was delicious and service was excellent. The pasta was amazing! I will be back!

Alex M.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food at a good cost. We (family of 4) have been there several times. The experience is consistently great. This place has been there for years and will stay for years to come. Grazie Bambino!!!

Alexsis F.

Yelp
My coworkers and I ordered from here a couple days ago (disregard the chopsticks I used to eat this) I think we forgot to order utensils!! Food was amazing though!! Would absolutely order the Chicken Linguine Alfredo with Mushrooms again.

Maydelin B.

Yelp
Went there years ago and had not been back. I was very happy with the food and service. Great quality food and not overpriced. Coming back soon.

Casey P.

Yelp
Stopped in on Monday and we were pleasantly surprised. We had manicotti, eggplant parm, and caprese salad. All were very good. We will definitely come back when we are interested in eating Italian. Thank you!

Javier B.

Yelp
Is always a pleasure come here , the best food and pasta experience, the best and friendly staff with a great customer service experience!! To my family and me we love it Wonderful and relaxing ambience

Alex M.

Yelp
The food is okay but portion sizes are lacking. In other words you are overcharged for limited food. I did not like how the waiters asked if I wanted cheese and did not tell me it was an extra charge. Also, staff does not do a good job explaining what is on the menu and how one will be charged. Not coming back.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Home cooked excellence! This is the best Italian in town. I'll Bambino is one of my favorite Italian restaurants around. The location is small, but it's homey and the servers make you feel like family. This place has an amazing lasagna, the spaghetti and meatballs are out of this world, and the Tiramisu is so creamy and well balanced. I love the food it's excellent. Great place for a first date, family gathering, or just an Italian night.

Joe G.

Yelp
Food was very good and portions are large Service is excellent Ambiance is nice small quaint.

Joseh R.

Yelp
Wow, I visited the place with my family, I live in the area and did not know about this restaurant, good atmosphere, very good food, excellent attention by the waitress Yuda, very nice and friendly with great service, we will definitely come back, Thank you.

A A.

Yelp
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Starting with the food- I have yet to have anything here that is not perfectly delicious and the service is top notch. All the servers here are incredible. All in all a great restaurant to bring the family or for a date night out. You won't be disappointed!

Bernie A.

Yelp
Hard to believe how much I have enjoyed this Italian restaurant for the last 30 years!!! Although recently remodeled, it remains a pleasant environment with exceptional service and absolutely delicious food! During these challenging times, I am thankful they remained opened and highly recommend this dining experience!

Sherry M.

Yelp
amazing once again !!! my favorite restaurant. i love the cute little vibe and how good the service is. it's hard to find restaurants like this in miami. Very reasonable prices and it's just an all around an amazing experience.

Marielena V.

Yelp
A good Italian restaurant. The food is good and inexpensive. Easy parking . A great neighborhood restaurant!

Isabel T.

Yelp
Went to eat today , no waiter or host to sit you. Sat down , no waiter or anyone to acknowledge you were there , waited 10 minutes and walked out! They didn't even notice we left , that bad , there was a guy at the cashier minding his business and they were paying more attention to the take out customers. Horrible experience, probably hiring inexperienced waiters with no knowledge of what real customer service is! don't waste your time!felt I was in a third world country !

Carmen O.

Yelp
The Food was good but we couldn't even enjoy it a lady with a medium length very black hair young , was in such a hurry to leave that we were in a hurry ! we asked her for more bread she answered at 9:45 the oven is off !! So another lady brought bread TOO LATE we Had already finish having dinner ! I ha e come to this place for so many years never again !! oh never brought us more water AWFUL SERVICE

Raquel P.

Yelp
Not consistent. Amazingly the restaurant does not serve Spaghetti but only linguini, fettuccini, etc. The Carbonara was unappealing and way too mushy. The Manicotti also bland and soupy. The bread was good.
