Adorable outdoor dining with the best handmade pizza and amazing topping combinations. I had their margarita with the best mozzarella and fresh basil I've ever had on a pizza. My guest had spicy sausage, caramelized onions, and spinach.

Read about this place online. The pizza lived up to the hype. Very very good! It's a small restaurant. Small tables. One thing we loved was that they let you split a pie in half so that you can try two different sets of toppings. If you are traveling and/or not able to get back a second time this lets you sample some different flavors. Great idea.

With some of the best pies in the valley and a reputable list of a menu, Il Bosco will have you coming back for more. Gabby and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The Valentina is a must, and make sure to treat yourself to dessert. You deserve it. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us.

Google
Pizza is so amazing! Always crispy and good, love the Joanna pizza, and the fried ravioli is delish too. The only thing is $10 for 5 pieces of ravioli is insane. But other than that all good

Google
Great fired pizzas. We went 1/2 Davina, 1/2 Katrina. I gave the nod to Davina but both were solid choices. Only app we tried were the stuffed zucchini flowers and they were a hit with the squeeze. Drinks were reasonably priced. Outside seating was perfect on a mid-October Friday night.

Google
I arrived skeptical due to the hype, but their Pepperoni pizza was fantastic. The Spicy Sausage slice was rich, earthy, and aromatic—perfectly spiced without being too heavy. In addition to pizza, they offer great appetizers and salads, which are ideal starters. The drinks were refreshing, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance combines rustic and modern elements nicely.

Google
I had a great experience at Bosco Pizza. Patio vibes are amazing. The pizza I had was amazing. The spinach artichoke dip is probably the best I’ve ever had. They have a pizza cookie for dessert. I would definitely recommend this place.

New Times did a profile of the 6 best restauranters in Phoenix and this place was featured. We picked up a pie before our day at the baseball game and it delivered! We did the Calabrian aka the Za because we like it hot. One pie is enough to feed 2 people with a normal appetite otherwise get your own if you're hungry. During my second visit we did the Valentine and Elena. We also added a cannoli. It delivered but I forgot that one pizza is enough for two people. Keep in mind you can add or amend as you see fit. I added some serrano chili peppers because I like it hot. And honestly it didn't even add that much spice to it. Staff is friendly as always and the one bathroom is enough for everyone.

Yelp
I came in skeptical, there's a lot of hype around this place but one bite of their Pepperoni pizza was fantastic. I also tried a slice of their Spicy Sausage which was rich, earthy, and incredibly aromatic. Not too heavy just enough of spices to make it luxurious without being overpowering. While pizza is the main event, they also offer incredible appetizers and salads. A perfect way to begin the meal. The drinks were so good and refreshing. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The ambiance blends rustic and modern.

Yelp
We're in town for a concert and found Il Bosco thanks to ChatGPT and it completely set the standard for the rest of our trip. We've tried a few other restaurants since, but we're still talking about this meal. We loved the casual, relaxed atmosphere and the focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Caprese salad with burrata and fresh pesto was absolutely bursting with flavor. The seasonal vegetable dish was simple but perfect: broccolini cooked and seasoned beautifully. We shared everything between the three of us: the Caprese, the broccolini, and the Alba pizza (crisp, light, and full of flavor). My husband had a beer, and we ended the meal by splitting a dessert. What amazed us most? The total came to just $55. For food this good, we honestly couldn't believe it. If you're in the area and appreciate fresh ingredients, thoughtful flavors, and a chill vibe, Il Bosco is a must.

Yelp
I love when a house turns into a restaurant or small business. Il Bosco has plenty of patio seating with water misters and it's in the perfect location for people watching. Inside theres some stools for bar seating if you're into watching a game on the tv or you can sit at one of the tables and enjoy the AC. Ok now the pizzas all looked amazing but the one that caught my eye was the biaggi. It has a nice lemon flavor to it and arugula...I thought we'd save a slice for later but no...we ate the entire thing! Very tasty and it came out of the pizza oven pretty fast. If you have t-mobile or credit cards like Chase and Amex, I'd check to your restaurant perks. We got 5% cash back here! :)

Yelp
I stopped in for dinner and was blown away by how amazing the pizza was. The Pepperoni pizza had the perfect balance of flavors, cheesy, lots of pepperoni, and a beautifully tangy tomato sauce. The crust was light, and perfectly great quality of food. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take real pride in their craft. The service was friendly without being rushed, and the whole place had that warm, cozy Italian vibe.

Yelp
I met a friend here and had a great time. The restaurant is a renovated old house downtown off Roosevelt, so parking is on the nearby streets. The menu has appetizers, salads, a wide range of Neapolitan-style pizzas and a variety of drinks. Service was fast and friendly. There's indoor & outdoor seating. I ordered the Katarina, which has pepperoni and mushrooms and it was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a great place to stop and enjoy a casual meal outdoors when you're in the Roosevelt Art District. This pizza place is in an old house with a big front porch. There's a small dining room inside and plenty of seating out side in front. When we got there all the tables with shade were taken, but our server said he could grab us an umbrella. With it being such a beautiful day, we wanted to sit outside. We ordered: *Spicy Italian sausage stuffed peppadew peppers *Gabriella pizza (red sauce, pepperoni, hatch green chile, mozzerella) *Joanna Pizza (red sauce, spicy sausage, pepperoni, mozzerella) Everything was yummy, and it was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the great weather. This place can get packed at night, but there was no problem going for lunch.

Yelp
Happy to admit I was WRONG to give Il Bosco 4 stars. They are an easy 5! You just gotta find the the right pizzas for you :) I'll Bosco is my latest delivery favorite. It's actually affordable for wood fired pizza compared to others like it in the area which is awesome. Since my first review, I've tried the Maria (pesto and tomato), Elaina (pep and olive), Biaggia (fig and arugula), and Valentina (pep with chili and honey). All of them were amazing. The crust is exceptional. It's crispy and thicc but still light and nice and smoky. The toppings are all high quality including the delicious cheese they use. The Caesar salad is also delightful and packed with parm. Also don't skip the salsa di parmigiana. Omg. It's spicy and rich and the most perfect thing ever to top their yummy bread with.

Yelp
Service great / pizza great / beer great Bathroom situation is very SAD. I hope everything else in the back is in a cleaner condition.

Yelp
My wife and I made our first visit to the restaurant and decided to take our dinner outside. It was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and just wonderful! The cocktails they serve are of such high quality and their pizza is good too. One cannot miss trying the spicy sausage! You really have to experience this place!
google avatar

Yelp
A chill place to grab lunch or dinner, the outside sitting was perfect for a cool cloudy day like today no flies or annoying gnats. I came specifically for the vegan pizzas and I'll have to give it a 7/10 it was okay. Of course it wouldn't taste like regular cheese, it was a bit soft but I was able to eat a decent pizza without stomach pain and breaking out so I'm grateful
google avatar

Yelp
No notes! We ate out on the patio late and even though Phoenix was still hot as balls, the misters keeps us nice and comfy. We relied on the server to kinda bring us what he thought was great, and he hit the nail right on the head. Great beer, great salad, great pizza. What a great night! We left full and very satisfied. Thank you Yelp for a great dinner recommendation!
google avatar

Jaleebi S.

Yelp
I love the patio and the location! Roosevelt row continues to develop into a great place to enjoy for shopping, dining and more. I've been to I'll Bosco a few times and the pizza delivers.. As a local in the neighborhood, I tend to go at odd times and avoid the rush. This has made for prompt, and very friendly service! The ravioli starter was fresh and delicious and the pizza came out hot and exactly as described. I like the dense menu options also; enough choices to make me come back and enjoy again.

Yelp
Service was great staff was on top of things. We sat at the bar and was greeted upon arrival. Drink orders taken and good drinks. Order taken shortly after and food came out timely. Had the stuffed peppers and those were so good sweet tangy and spicy but not over spicy would be perfect if they had a tad melted cheese to them. We had the Za pizza and that was so good I couldn't stop. My partner loved it. It was the perfect size to split maybe throw in a salad and the perfect combo. Definitely a pleasant surprise since we were walking by to an event we got wrong. Nice atmosphere great patio seating also outside or sit inside such a great location

Yelp
SO living downtown PHX, we have plenty of places to try, and trust me, we have tired a lot. This time we decided to walk up the Roosevelt Row and wanted Pizza, so we gave IL Bosco Pizza and it did not disappoint. We did get there about 5pm and not many people were there, by the time we left at 630 it was full. The Pizza was excellent, salad was excellent the dessert was amazing. I had the cannoli and the shell was not soggy it was excellent!!!! We will be back.

Yelp
Great pizza with a super location have solid beers on tap even though wine pairings appear to be the theme

Yelp
"Time is money, money is power, power is pizza, and pizza is knowledge. Let's go!" ― April Ludgate, Parks and Recreation We got some takeout for a pizza throw down. We ordered a Valentina (red sauce, pepperoni, cheese, calabrian chili, and finished with a honey drizzle) and wowzah. If you're a fan of sweet heat, this is the pie for you. Aw yis! I love it when the pepperoni crisps up and cups. It becomes a little vessel of fat and flavor. Your heart might not like it as much, but your tastebuds will be happy. The crust was charred, and it was a lovely pie. I need to come back! I would like to try the Biaggia (fig jam, prosciutto, mozz, goat cheese, arugula, shaved parm, lemon olive oil). Who wants a pizza date!?

Robin D.

Yelp
Great ambiance, amazing food. Made a reservation, and still had to wait for a table for a bit was overall good.
google avatar

Jerry R.

Yelp
In town for the week and yelped this place. GREAT service and great pizza. I got the Alba and a glass of red and was great. If I'm back in Phoenix, I'll be back. Thanks team! You all did great!
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Such a cute date night or girls night spot! My fiancé and I went last week because we were both craving pizza and I saw that they had vegan cheese as an option (ya girl is allergic to cow dairy). I always like to do some research ahead of time and find out what vegan cheese they use, which I was able to find that it's the follow your heart brand which is pretty good! However when we got there, we came to find out that they are out of it currently and had no idea when they would be getting more in. Thankfully though, they did have goat cheese and were more than happy to sub out for any pizza we wanted! To be honest though the crust and the sauce is so good that I would've been OK going without cheese entirely. That's how you know the pizza is good! Service overall was pretty good. It definitely got slow at times, so while didn't really distract from the overall experience, this is definitely not somewhere to go if you're in a rush

Yelp
Came here to do a date night with my husband. At first the service was pretty good, we were seated quickly and checked in frequently. Toward the end of the night the staff forgot about us and my husband had to get up to pay for dinner because they were inside watching a game. The ambiance was nice but I noticed a lot of the light bulbs were burned out, not a big deal but I tend to notice when places do regular upkeep or not. The bruschetta was actually delicious and the bread tasted fresh. Wasn't impressed with the kale salad for the price and the meatballs were pretty dry and lacking flavor. Definitely wouldn't come back, but I enjoyed the seating outside. Maybe the pizza is better
google avatar

Agnes S.

Yelp
Everything about this place was fantastic! We had a large group and they easily accommodated us. The service was great and friendly and the food was amazing! Please get the stuffed squash blossoms, they are 10/10, the caprese salad was chefs kiss and the pizza...whoah!!! We had a few different pizzas, the Biaggia, Valentina, Joanna and just plain cheese and they were all delicious! I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
I prefer it over pomo The pizza was good. I tried sausage and another one with sausage and caramelized onions. Both tasted really good. They are fire oven pizza like we like. The only weird thing was our finger tips were a little black from the bottom of the pizza. I eat the style pizza all the time and I've never had that happen. It did not take away from the taste at all just saying.
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
Everyone i know hyped this place up, wasn't too impressed and not a fan of where the restroom is placed directly where you are eating. Definitely some better pizza places in the area. Service was great friendly and calm ambiance setting.
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
Pepperoni Pizza was amazing would definitely come again for the pizza! The drinks were okay but the main course was amazing. Service was okay and ambiance was lonely but the pizza made up for everything.
google avatar

Tia T.

Yelp
So glad I finally got to try this place out. Decided to sit out with the misters and it was perfect afternoon weather. The inside is rather small and dark lighting. We got cocktails and this bread appetizer with garlic, goat cheese, and some other amazing ingredients that had me drooling and asking for more bread. The pizza was really good. the Valentina is a spicy so we asked for less chili and it was perfect. Our server was kind and gave great suggestions. I will definitely be back. There is street parking so if there's an event, you'll have to walk.
google avatar

Liliana A.

Yelp
Can across this place on Instagram so we came by to try it out! We sat outside and it was the most perfect atmosphere and would come back just for the cozy home vibes at night. An app and pizza is good for two people but if you are starving, I'd say skip the apps and get your own pizza because there were so many options. Our meatballs came out a little cold but they were still good! We ordered the pizza special which was a truffle pizza with mushroom and honey drizzle. We love a good date night so we will be returning!
google avatar

Wade J.

Yelp
Great pizza spot! Nice patio seating. Like that you can try multiple options and the pizza has nice crust.
google avatar

Rick D.

Yelp
We sat outside and I have to say it was perfect! Ethan was our waiter and went over and beyond. Immediately came to our table with suggestions. They also have heat lamps outside. The aroma from the street was so fragrant that it entices you to come in. The food was spectacular! Our pizza was like homemade old country. We will be back.
google avatar

Bryan F.

Yelp
Short jaunt from my residence downtown Phoenix. and so so so worth it. The pizza is the best, the drinks are fantastic. My only complaint is the music can be a bit loud.
google avatar

K M.

Yelp
I'm a New Mexican. Green chile on pizza is a no brainer, but the rest needs to be as lip smacking good as they do it at Il Bosco. ¡Orale, pues! The crumbly, seasoned sausage, the melty mozz, that curve of the crisp, edge pepperoni to cradle the light, drooly drizzle of hot honey, only to be blessed with the right heat of Hatch glory?! Spicy, zesty, flavor packed, and sassy, sweet kisses! Yaasssssss, por favor! Ya done good, kids! Drool worthy indeed.
google avatar

Shay K.

Yelp
Came here for a quick pizza fix. The place was busy, but our food came out quickly. A variety of pizza options are available. The pizza was a little soggy but still had great flavor.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Great pizza- love that they have water misters as well. Check this place out if you are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile. We always pass it during the first friday art walk. This weekend I was craving pizza so I made a reservation for two at 7pm. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere. Since it was the first nice night out in phoenix (not 1,000 degrees) and the festival was going on, we decided to sit outside and people watch. The patio is cute, with a perfect view of the action I ordered a sprite and was presented with a "bubble up" which is just like sprite and was super refreshing! We both ordered pizzas after looking around at everyone else's food. A pizza is easily sharable, unless your a wild animal like me and can kill a full pizza by yourself. Lol the pizzas are a nice size, around an average "medium" I would say. My partner ordered the Maria and I got the Valentina and let me just say, whoever decided to put hot honey on pepperoni pizza *chef's kiss* it was absolutely delicious. Ima pizza GIRL. I Stan a good pie, and this was one of the top pizzas I've had in Phoenix (just moved here two years ago) the crust was chewy and charred just right, the sauce was spicy and not TOO saucy, the cheese was delicious and I can't speak to that honey ENOUGH. So good. My partner enjoyed her pizza as well! We both decided we would come back and try everything they have!
google avatar

Ali B.

Yelp
I've been to the Scottsdale location a couple times, but not for years! My husband and I did a staycation and ordered takeout from this IL Bosco. I got the Maria pizza I think which had pesto, tomatoes, and garlic, and my husband had a cheese pizza. We also got the salsa di parmigiana, which tasted familiar but I don't think I had tried it here before? I was worried they'd only give us like 2 pieces of bread because I had that experience recently at some restaurants, so I ordered even more but I didn't even need it! Food was ready fast, especially for a Friday night. On the pricier side but totally worth it for good quality pizza like this. So glad I've been reintroduced to IL Bosco!

Susan G.

Yelp
OMG!!! This place is amazing!! We stayed at the Hyatt and it was quite a walk but was so worth it! The pizza was so fresh and delicious and the staff was so friendly and great service! We sat at the bar. We will definitely come back here again. Kendrick and Harrison were our servers and were so nice and made good conversation with us and were genuinely happy to serve us. The place was small and cozy inside. Best authentic fresh pizza ever!!!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
We just finished dining at Il Bosco and we liked it a lot! We sat inside and it was rather loud in there with everyone talking so if you don't want to have to talk so loudly to hear your dining partners, you may want to sit outside. The service was good. The cocktails weren't all that great, I would probably stick to wine next time but the pizzas we got were delicious! It is definitely worth a trip back
google avatar

Lu G.

Yelp
It's was mid. My 2 pizzas were too burnt. Brick oven pizza shouldn't be burnt. I'd come back for the ambiance, not the pizza. Pomo is way better
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
IL Bosco is easily one of my favorite PHX pizzerias. I'd even say, it's in my top 3. I've been to iL Boscos Scottsdale location. It's oasis - like. The new PHX location creates a different vibe, but one that's very inviting. The majority of tables are outdoors, perfect for a spring evening. Ordering the spicy sausage sweet papadeaux stuffed peppers is a no brainer. That might be favorite appetizer - ever. They creatively used the spicy sausage and sweet pepadeaux peppers to create the Rosa, a 5/5 star pizza. The Valentina and Morena are winners as well. I highly recommend iL Bosco.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
The location is good and the ambiance was nice (what would be expected for the area). Our bartender/server Jacob was great! The only "complaint" would be the prices for the size and quality. $7.50 for a pint of domestic beer and $11 (small pour) glass of wine on top of the food prices made it a very expensive hour. We would frequent more often if the prices were better.
google avatar

Julie R.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite place to get pizza in the valley! If you like a little bit a spice you got to try the Valentina - red sauce, spicy pepperoni, calabrian chili sauce, mozzarella and the best part, honey drizzle! I recently got the opportunity to try their bruschetta which was divine The staff is always so welcoming. The service is always amazing. Feels like home walking in. They have live music on the patio some nights which is another win If you're in the mood for pizza and downtown definitely give this place a try! You won't be disappointed
google avatar

Lex B.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT I received an order from them that had pizza chewed up and spit back in my food (looks like vomit / spit up) and there is something of a liquid consistency white, thick and disgusting in my veggies. I called them and explained the issue and the person who answered the phone said "okay, that's your side of the story". Pics are below. Did not ask for a refund or a remake because I would never trust this business again and don't want this review to be compensation based. Eat here at your own caution.... Make sure you look at your food and immediately report anything wrong to the restaurant. Update: they called me back and blamed the delivery driver. When i told them that i am not looking for a refund or free food but want to report food tampering and they need to seal their food for safety they said those safety measures are out of their control / not their responsibility. Bottom line: find somewhere else to eat in Scottsdale, they're not concerned about customer safety or being professional.
google avatar

Faith G.

Yelp
The first few times it was really good and I do recommend it. The last time I went the entire bottom pizza crust was burnt so the pizza tasted burnt. I ordered to go and when I tried calling once I got home no one answered and there was no way to leave a voicemail. Mistakes happen but there was no way to tell them about what happened without having to go back in person. Spending $20 for a medium sized burnt pizza with no way for them to accommodate doesn't make me want to go back.
google avatar

Rick T.

Yelp
The pizzas shine at Il Bosco. Crust is crisp and airy and the spicy pepperoni and honey drizzle were a great sweet and spicy balance. The caprese salad was super tasty and well dressed, but the meatballs were just ok. A huge outdoor patio area makes for a perfect spot to dine in the warm Phoenix evenings.
google avatar

Lee H.

Yelp
Been here twice. Both experiences have been exceptional in the quality of the cocktails (love the Negroni) & pizzas. I'd say it ranks right up there with Bianco. The service has also been delightful - even when busy. We like the choice of in- and outside dining, the sweet little historic Phoenix house & the beautiful wood-fire oven.
google avatar

Kylee D.

Yelp
I have had Il Boscos before but first time doing take out and... it was the worst pizza ever. Frozen pizza is better than this. The Juana tasted like straight orange and sugar and all the toppings were in one single area. The Valentina was so oily and cold. This pizza was inedible and I don't turn down pizza. Not sure what happened to this place but was not worth $20
google avatar

Randy V.

Yelp
It's was excellent. The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was great. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our large party at the last minute. Highly recommend this excellent establishment.

Cuong S.

Yelp
Valentina pizza was good just the pizza was burnt. Do better chef. Tried calling but nobody answered. Voicemail box was full. Just sucks to see it after we pick it up and got home. 1st time I went was amazing! 2nd not so good.
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
Great service! Pizza was good and excellent for leftovers. Loved the food village where it is located.

Emma K.

Yelp
HORRIBLE. I'm have never eaten here and will never come back. I made a reservation for 2 at 7 pm. Got seated at 7 pm. Server did not come to us for 40 MINUTES. I went in at the 20 minute mark to see if there even was a server. They said they would be right out. Waited another 20 minutes, they never came. Went to POMO instead.... Horrible service.
