Il Capestrano Ristorante Abruzzese

We got a reservation through the online system an hour before on a weekday evening. Parking was not bad. The lamb and liver skewers blew us away. The porcini pasta was fresh. Honey herb lamb was good. Tiramisu was amazing. Quiet and charming with the charcoal grill in the back. Excellent service - they were very gracious and patient with putting up with us clueless Americans who wanted to share plates and requested garlic to be omitted in the veggie dishes. Thank you!!!

On our first day in Italy we were looking for a nice restaurant and it did do this justice. We had some appetizers with the lamb tartare being impeccable. Also the mains with lamb and sausages were great Highly recommended

Had dinner here to celebrate my anniversary and was delighted by this cute cozy place. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing service and food is delicious! Everything very fresh! The waitress (unfortunately I didn’t ask her name), a long black hair girl was super sweet and polite (service you rarely find in Milano).

Just spent an amazing evening in this really good restaurant. The food was impeccable and Mr. Raffaele was absolutely the perfect waiter. Fast, giving attention to every detail, always kind and composed. Thank you again Raffaele for the amazing experience.

Good food, the best option are the lamb sticks. All the food is delightful I think it’s what you expect from a Italian restaurant a little bit far away from the center of milano but I fully recommend it. The atmosphere it’s a whole experience really recommend it. Just to let you know if you eat a lot the portions are not very large.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Il Capestrano in southern suburb of Milano next to Fondazione Prada. It serves delicious regional food from Abruzze region (east of Rome) with high focus on lamb, mouton. The grilled lamb meat and the mouton tartar were memorable. Everything was very good. Service was welcoming and professional.

I've been in Milan for two days, and I put a lot of effort into finding the right restaurant. Good food is crucial to me on this trip. This place was fantastic, from the service to the bread and entrees. As I ate, I couldn't help but think, "This is the best food I've ever had."

For this kind of restaurant, The service expected to be better. Bread served all cold… The food was okay. The pasta with white Ragu missed a bit of salt, but the rest was fine. The traditional cake dome coated with chocolate was super dry (don’t know if it’s always like this or not). During the service, We felt like we’re not welcomed to eat in the restaurant, don’t know if because we can’t speak Italien or else. When we got the bill, the man put the bill on the table and then point on the bill twice or thrice ( some kind of weird manner that I have never got from any restaurant). He seemed to act differently with the others.
