I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I especially loved the mussels, fiori di zucca, octopus and gnocchis, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with taste. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, and the music and lighting created a very relaxing vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a nice dinner with friends, family, or even on a date night. Our server was Misael. Best service ever!! He even did a Mariachi show for us!! AMAZING! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere — this is the place to go!

Service was great and food was delicious. The Chef's recommendations were really the way to go. And the desserts were outstanding, order the pistachio panacotta you will love it.

From the moment we stepped into Il Duomo del Sapori, we were swept away by the enchanting atmosphere. The veal was to die for, but the highlight of our evening was the personalized care from manager Gabriel. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made the night exceptionally memorable. It was a nice dining experience. Super friendly waitstaff. The charcutiery board on the lunch special lacked that wow presnetsito. But the chicken dish made up for it. Polenta was amazingly creamy.

I had the lasagna and it was really delicious but the portion is non existent. They stated that the lasagna is suppose to be light but it's not even a traditional style. They're no layers or anything. Personally I could've enjoyed the night without eating something that didn't even fill me up. DONT ORDER THE LASAGNA, you will leave hungry The servers are quite informative and are available to assist you. Atmosphere is amazing, light music playing in the background but not so loud that you are unable to have a conversation rare to find in the city.

Masiel was our server, he was great, funny and professional! He recommended us great wines we all want to taste a different one. Limoncello was served cold and straight- delish !

I was taking a stroll through the gables when I came across this restaurant at night. It's beautiful, calm, ambiance caught my attention and the hostess immediately came to inform me about the restaurant. The next day I decided to come with my girlfriend for lunch and wow. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Masiel was on top of the service and quite knowledgeable of the menu. We ended up going with an off menu special dish meant to share between two people. The food was spectacular, the last place I had great food like that was at Luca's Osteria down the street. The fish was cooked perfectly, the accompanying sauces were divine, the desserts.. I'll be back specifically for the Tiramisu! Overall phenomenal experience, 10/10!

Amazing food and service! I was passing thru CH and decided to try a few restaurants the couple days I was there. I'd had Italian the night before and was highly disappointed. Then the next day I saw this place on my OpenTable suggestions and decided to go for a late lunch early dinner on Vday. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! Being in the industry and enjoy fine dining this place checked off all the boxes! I love finding a place that I can say, I can't wait to go back!

Lovely contemporary and clean decorated Italian restaurant. EXCELLENT customer service. Street parking and parking garages nearby. Delicious food and I would love to come back for more. They also have a good power lunch menu. I would rate this restaurant a 4.5, but will round it up for the time being. Now for the food: -meat & pistachio pizza (didnt get name) - 5 stars - thin, fluffy, crispy crust with delightfully unexpected taste profile of slightly sweet pistachio sauce, crunchy pistachio, mildly salty & meaty bologna, and mild cheese - seafood stew from power lunch menu - 5 stars - very hearty and tomato-y, lots of assorted seafood and seafood flavor -open face lasagna - 5 stars - meaty and herby sauce, al-dente pasta -bucatini alla amatriciana - 4 stars- al-dente pasta, bright tomato taste with small bits of pork; a little tart and salty I also got a side dish of veggies which was my healthy component. It was ok. My husband and I were served delicious, simple, and fresh bread as well in the beginning with 3 sauces. I wasn't a big fan of the tiramisu as it seemed a bit wet and lacking a bit of coffee and Cocoa flavor. However, I did enjoy the top cream layer. Overall, I would love to come back and try new dishes, but dishes from this recent visit as well.

Another great dining experience that reminded us that we need to dine here more often. The ambiance remains nice and beautiful for a nice dining experience for a date, celebration or for some high quality authentic Italian food with a Venezuelan twist. We went back for some old dishes while we indulged in the new ones. The octopus appetizer is a MUST! We tried the focaccia pizza and it was fresh and perfectly baked on an open face oven. The seafood pastas and seafood soup were delicious and the dessert was a sweet treat to wrap up the evening. We look forward to going back and as always, we had excellent service by Mafer and the team, combined with a warm welcome from the GM, Gabriel. Enjoy!

Excellent 3 course $39 lunch menu at Il Duomo Dei Sapori. Started off with some great focaccia with 3 spreads (tapenade was delicious) and opted for the tuna carpaccio for the appetizer followed by the rigatoni amitriciana. Both dishes were on point and delicious. Chose the tiramisu for dessert which was on the small side but good. Nice, intimate ambiance and great service. Will definitely return.

Great homey great service place to go. Came with a group and had a great time. Good service, chef even came to our table. We had the anniversary menu that was very good and the main courses could have been a notch better... all in all, the place has great ambiance, great food and wine was medium plus... for the price, they have some juice that can be drank without breaking the bank.... As for BYOB, super expensive and maybe if would go with my wife I would rather do that!!! Will come back!

We have been twice to Il Duomo dei Sapori. Let's start from the ABC. The location, set up and decor are just fabulous. It oozes style and sophistication without being pompous or pretentious. You are welcomed by wonderful staff. Shout out to the bar tender, who goes out of his way to ensure your drink is to your tasting. The owner Gabriel is often there to exchange greetings and ensure you have had a memorable experience. What not to recommend from the menu? We had the vitello tonnato, the pizza, pasta and meat across the two occasions. Wonderful wines; particularly surprised of the Barolo Monvigliero iBre. We were told it is one of the most ancient crus, of only 6 producers. Rounded and well balanced with little harshness from the tannins. Desserts are to die for. It is pricy but worth the experience. A gem in Coral Gables.

Il Duomo dei Sapori has become our favorite Italian restaurant in Coral Gables. Ambiance here is great. Music and dimmed lighting and great wine make for a perfect night. Of course, all of these wouldn't work if the food wasn't delicious... but it is. The food here is always the star. Flavors are on point ... pastas and seafood cooked to perfection without any overpowering condiments... everything is just right. Service is also outstanding. With great waitressing and friendly staff members, it makes for the perfect combo. It is definitely worth coming here.

Ambiance- decor is beautiful and modern; fixtures, furniture, wood panels absolutely clean and sophisticated. Food- everything is perfectly seasoned. The pasta is made in-house ; overall, everything was delicious. The star of the night for me was the dessert. The cannoli was the best I've had in a long time! I've been searching for a cannoli that is not pre-filled and had a nice crunch. Service was outstanding! I definitely will be coming back.

Yesterday was one of the most special days of my life -- I got married! We chose this restaurant to celebrate because the first time I visited, the food and service were absolutely spectacular. That unforgettable experience made it the perfect place to return for such an important occasion. I never before had an experience like this dinner that the presence of friends added fun to the excellent food... Julio is the one behind this culinary experience that he calls "Family Dinner" and it's a seat down that includes some 14 different plates that include beef, fish, pasta, vegetables and other ingredients including pastries and gelato at the end that make the moment "Golden"... and unforgettable!!! Julio is there for you all the time making it easy and delivering the right portions to everyone and I'll Duomo Adri Sapori's feels like a Downtown New York restaurant but in Miami. If you have the opportunity to visit this place, don't doubt to do it... oh and ask for Julio, you won't regret it...

Il Duomo is a solid comfort italian place with good service and great options in the gables. I like coming here often because it has a low key atmosphere with attentive servers. Usually there is place to sit outside, being. Nice perk for winter miami :). You cant go wrong with the classics like the spaghetti bolognesa or the lasagna!

Second time I'm here. The service is excellent and so is the ambience , you can actually talk. The music is very pleasant. This is fine. Dining at its best , reminds me of New York City and Chicago restaurants

Spectacular! My husband and I truly loved our experience! The eggplant parmigiana was the best I've ever had! We tried two different pastas and they were delicious! Homemade really makes a difference! I highly recommend this restaurant. Oh, and our server was fantastic!

We arrived late to II Duomo Dei Sapori, but the staff was still very patient and friendly with us. We had the restaurant to ourselves which felt very "boss like," exactly how you should feel when you're eating Italian food. I had the Lasagna verde aperta, it was bomb! You can taste the love they put in to their dishes and the homemade pasta was mouth watering. Definitely will be back for a proper date night soon.

Absolutely one of the top Italian restaurants in Miami on my list! From decor and friendly and unpretentious service to quality of food, menu (as close to sophisticated top restaurants in Italy as it can get outside of Italy)! Everything we ordered was presented on beautiful plates, right when we wanted it, antipasti vegetable, very good main courses of fish and pasta! In the end we had very tasty tiramisu and pannacotta. Left with two huge panettone's as gift from the establishment! Highly recommend!

Wow!!! Great menu. All Originally made and crafted Italian food. Pasta is made daily fresh. Ratio of portions and presentation is paramount to me and this was amazing.... Francesca, presented a wonderful recommendation for wine to accompany the meal. Desserts were delicious and again, plating was excellent. We came in on Friday evening... Restaurant had a DJ (loud, music was way clubby for a fancy restaurant) but, perhaps that's is the vibe they are after. (Made it challenging to chat while dining) Above all else... It is accordingly priced, as the food and service are top notch. One of the best "original" Italian restaurants I've had the chance to visit while in Coral Gables. Definitely will be coming back perhaps during the day. It was undoubtedly a good choice for high end dining! Oh! We had the best Polenta ever!!!

Hidden Gem. The branzino and octopus were fantastic. I sat at the bar, ordered and glass of wine and was out the door in an hour during my lunch break feeling like a champion. Thank you Chef Tony and staff for an amazing experience.

So we only had two nights in Coral Gables, and last night we went to Salumeria 104 and it was fantastic. We were looking for something else in the vicinity of our hotel tonight, and decided on Il Duomo dei Sapori. We loved Salumeria 104, but this place was just as good. We started with their "Battuta di Manzo al Cotello". which is steak tartare with green apples, fontina cheese, roasted mushrooms and shaved truffles. It was amazing - unlike any steak tartare we've ever had. You could perhaps criticize it a little for the mix of everything taking away from the flavor of the meat itself, but that mix of everything tasted amazingly good. We also had the tomato burrata app, which was thin slices of crunchy tomato with plenty of creamy burrata and basil olive oil on top. It was an interesting take on this as the tomatoes would normally be considered underripe, but the thin slices added a really nice crunch to the dish and it worked well. For entrees, I had "Mezzi Paccheri", which was rigatoni-like pasta in a sauce that included tomatoes, bacon, and four cheeses. The pasta was perfect and the sauce was rich and delicious. My wife had the osso buco ravioli, which are just as over-the-top as they sound. They were fantastic, in a light sauce flavored with sage. For dessert, we had the special, which was coconut panna cotta topped with Nutella. This was good, but the Nutella did clobber the more delicate panna cotta. If you're a big fan of Nutella, you'd probably love it. I ended up eating the panna cotta out from under it as the panna cotta was excellent on its own. Wine list is nice - plenty to choose from including a good list of wine by-the-glass. Service was excellent, with good pacing and an attentive server who answered all of our questions and made good recommendations. So overall: interesting and excellent food, good wine, very good service. This place is pricey, but it's worth it for a splurge. Mike sez don't think twice, just check it out.

This is the trifecta! Excellent food, service and ambiance! Loved the housemade pasta! The chocolate lava cake is a MUST! The mini gnocchi with cheese and truffle sauce is also superb! The Duomo salad with pears, arugula, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms was also delicious and perfectly balanced. Maria, our waitress explained the menu very well and was amazing! Highly recommend Il Duomo Dei Sapori for fresh pasta! You can tell they only use the highest quality ingredients!

What a wonderful restaurant. Our waitress, Maria, was very pleasant to talk with. She offered great recommendations on food selection, and more importantly, the food was delicious.

Terrible experience. From where to start. Few wine options. They offered me a Malbec and brought me something different expecting me to do not notice it. They had to change it. Appetizer was good. Creamy Polenta. Special of Tagliatelle was good nothing special. Raviolis came with the meat frozen and they did the worse when complained, they re heated the past, then it went worse and tasted horrible, I did not wanted to complain again but did not eat it. Lava Cake was awesome, the only good thing to eat in this new Restaurant and per the waitress it was on her, algo gave us a Pannetone. Not the worse experience but will only return for the Lava Cake.

Everything is absolutely exceptional. The pastas, pizzas and the gelato were all 10 out of 10. The service could not have been any more perfect. Can't wait to come back! Grazie

This place is amazing, from the beginning to the end such a great experience. The service and the food are out of this world. This is a must try place because you'll be able to experience real authentic Italian food that you don't see at most of your Italian restaurants.

First time visiting this new Coral Gables Italian restaurant. It's hard to stand out in the Gables with so many good Italian spots but Il Duomo does just that. Stand outs were the green lasagna and gnocchi. The service is also top notch, led by Kevim. We felt right at home and well attended to. It is white linen, low lit and not pretentious vibe. A true classic Italian restaurant with Italian sourced ingredients and well executed. We will be returning soon.

We decided to do a date night at this new place that had just opened a month ago, it's in the center of Coral Gables very neatly centered on Ponce de Leon. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by first, a radiance of elegance, the people and music the aesthetic of the place, the decor was subtle and minimal, the lighting was perfect and it didn't have that warehouse feeling of an assembly line of people going in an out waiting to be seated after another party finished gorging out. Then, right away the second we entered a host greeted us and asked our name and as soon as we said who we were he had our table ready, no waiting. We sat down and stared to order, the staff did seem a bit weighed down, however, I personally understand they are brand new. We were given focaccia bread to start and it came with a very good, salty minced black olives, tomato sauce and cheese. Very delicious starter. We ordered for appetizer the anchovies pizza and the beef tartar. The anchovoe pizza was delicious! The saltines of the anchovies mixed with cheese and slight tomato sauce hit the spot. Plus the pizza was very lean, not greasy or drowned in sauce. The beef tartar was exceptionally seasoned and it just melted away. Delicious as well Then we ordered the truffle gnocchi and the grilled sea bass. They did not disappoint! Even though I've tried truffle gnocchi's before m, the texture of on the spot hand made gnocchi was something I've not had in a long time. It left you full and unlike other processed pasta, you felt satisfied and they were delicious. The truffle didn't overpower the palate. The sea bass was cooked perfectly! And it came with mixed vegetables that had a bit of a kick but also not to drown the taste of the sea bass. And the sea bass was very tender, I highly recommend it. The desert was a pistachio flan and a tiramisu. They were both very good options, they tasted really good. The tiramisu was very fresh! And the pistachio desert was unique, like a pistachio flan more or less. Overall I'd recommend this place highly.

I can't find the exact words to describe how amazing my first experience was at this incredible place. When I go to a Friday night dinner with people that I love and during this time of the year where we need to be grateful to have the opportunity to be seated on the same table enjoying a good conversation, and of course in this occasion a great food! And thanks to IL Duomo and their complete staff were were able to fulfill all that! Let me start with the service. As soon as you walk in the host already makes you feel welcome! During service there is nothing that were missing, all staff were very attentive and they made sure we were having everything we needed to keep enjoying our dinner. Now, the food!! For me the food was out of this world! We ordered some appetizers that were outstanding! All different dishes had their unique flavor and we could not decide which were the best because all were absolutely fantastic! The main courses were so well prepared, that we did not want them to be over! It was that good! We closed our evening with two amazing desserts that gave us that closing moment to an epic dinning experience! Thank you Chef Tony Maldonado and the rest if the team fir giving us this amazing experience in the most wonderful time of the year!

Today I went to have dinner with my family. Food was excellent, we order ñoquis which were insane. Home made. Also the costoleta was delicious, the meat was tender. Very good service. I really recommend this restaurant.

First time dining at this lovely restaurant, comfortable, friendly with excellent service and never rushed. The menu had excellent choices and we were not disappointed as the food was delicious. This restaurant exceeds all expectations and we are looking forward to return.

We have been to Il Duomo about 7-8 times. With various friends and family. The pasta is homemade and always consistently amazing. The service is fantastic and the has a very classy ambiance. It's is one of the best, not just Italian, but restaurants in Coral Gables.

Outstanding! Get a reservation while you still can, because this place is amazing. Authentic Italian cuisine from a chef that needed a translator to accept complements...so charming. The focaccia is made to order - thin and crispy, it arrives within minutes of your seating, accompanied by San Marzano tomatoes crushed with herbs, ricotta with a drizzle of olive oil and tapenade. Our salad was their special - arugula with heirloom tomatoes, house made mozzarella and beautiful prosciutto. Our entree was the calamarata, thick rings of delicious house made pasta with scampi, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes, breadcrumbs and olive oil. We added smoked local vegetables- baby squash that was perfectly done. Fortunately we had room for their 70% dark chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato. The wine list will knock your socks off, but we enjoyed Barolo by the glass. Exceptional service, friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely ambiance
