A New All-Day Italian Destination Gives Even More to the Downtown Scene - Eater LA

"Il Fiore quietly began serving last week from its ground floor space at 819 S. Flower Street, the base of the O Hotel. The restaurant’s unique setup means there’s actually two chefs on site: Joel Stovall (who worked for Josef Centeno for years, most recently at Orsa & Winston), and Clay Cassis, who has worked at Vespertine and Bestia. Together the pair is turning out everything from daily breakfast and lunch for the hotel, with options from granola and avocado toast to house-smoked lox and focaccia de recco. Dinner is a more robust turn, featuring classics like cacio e pepe and braised short ribs along with vegetables roasted in nori butter and a pork cheek papardelle with papaya and heirloom tomatoes. Stovall and Cassis will even be growing some of their own ingredients from a nearby garden, and foraging for others around the region." - Farley Elliott

It was an incredible experience the moment we walked in. The staff is amazing and we even talked with the Chef who prepared our food. There is an upright Piano by the bar and the manager shut off the music and let me play some dinner music. We had entrees, drinks and dessert on New Years Eve and everything was spectacular, highly recommend for anybody looking for a night out in downtown LA. The restaurant is fit right into the O Hotel and the location can’t be beat with nightclubs, social clubs, restaurants and hotels.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is like a beautiful, industrial jewelry box. The food is just as delicate and sumptuous too. A delicious meal: heirloom tomato salad was bright and robust, beef cheek was buttery tendery, and the octopus honestly was the tastiest I've ever had. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful find after a long drive from NorCal. We’re staying at the hotel next door and were happy to walk just a few steps to experience such wonderful food. The wagyu beef ravioli with creamy pesto sauce is impressively delicious and the bread pudding with edible flowers and caramel sauce is the perfect ending to a memorable meal. The decor is beautiful, reminds me of a rustic country home with a mesmerizing cozy fireplace. Perfect in every way!

Wanted to support the new place in the neighborhood. They need to decide what their hours are. Was literally told that closing time varies due to how busy they are. Sometimes 10. Sometimes 11. Tonight they said was slow and they were out of ice. Lame. Will give one more try as live across the street. Disappointing first impression.

The place was empty and we still received very poor service. Quite overpriced for what it is, especially with such a limited menu. Also disappointed that the menu didn't even remotely match what was listed on the website.
