"The iconic Four Seasons hotel, Geneva’s oldest luxury hotel (1834), dripping with pilasters and frescoes, is the setting of Il Lago, or Lake Geneva’s classy remake of the dolce vita. The kitchen team offers high-flying Italian cuisine, with the odd Mediterranean accent, rich in aromas, subtlety and delicacy. The quintessence of fine dining." - Michelin Inspector

Overall pleasant lunch, great service and attentive. As advice I suggest to not sit close to the entrance as I asked to close the door due to the noise from the bar but they said that the entrance had to stay open... The food is high quality, well presented small portions, I personally liked everything except the tiramisu that I would have kept on a traditional way, this kind of semifreddo was not tasty and difficult to eat. Instead very suggested is the affogato!! Overall I recommend but for the price, I was a little upset by these two aforementioned things.

Great experience in the Four Seasons Italian restaurant. Food was really interesting in terms of flavors and textures. Everything we expect from an Italian-mediterranean fine dining restaurant. Service is very italian-style so very elegant and professional.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews but the food and atmosphere here were truly disappointing - lacking flavor and uninventive. It’s the epitome of “you may find better but you’ll never pay more” 😬. You are really just paying for the location on the water and inside the Four Seasons. I don’t know why this restaurant is recommended in guidebooks and online. Please do better 🙏. Not a great representation of what the Four Seasons brand is normally known for.

The food was exquisite and wine pairing recommended by the sommelier was indeed true to the tastes that he described. One with Starter and one with Pasta. Even the bread was very well done! Appreciated that. Alexander was a wonderful host, totally attentive and also very intuitive to our needs. A memorable evening at Il Lago indeed!

Ordered the tasting menu. Everything is what you expect from the michelin-star restaurant: great service, unusual tasting experience. Here most of the experience comes from the sauces that you get with the dishes. They change the taste in an unexpected matter, for example, there was a ham with the tuna sauce. Never before I could expect that a meat and a fish could taste great with each other :)

The food here is fantastic! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. But, it would be great to see more dessert options, and a tiramisu without alcohol.

Great gourmet restaurant with Italian origins. One of my favorites in Geneve. What is specialty nice at the tasting menu is that the first courses are served all together for the table to share, I loved it!

Yelp
Let me set the stage. Beautiful sunny afternoon in Geneva. We were invited for lunch by our friends from Portugal. We decided to sit outside which is a fun experience of its own. Bustling people and traffic going by. The Geneva style, men in full suit riding a bike or lady's with there colorful summer dresses and there Louis Vuitton flats. Such an amazing venue in itself. So then we start with the food and wine. I decided to have fish so a nice white burgundy was my wine choice. Normally I picture the label but I forgot in the middle of all my culinary excitement. I remember it was a meursault. Don't remember vintage or producer. But very good. So I started with the shrimp and steak tartar with truffle. Amazing flavor and the truffle, wow. Then I had the tuna. Was seared rare and lightly salted. Was amazing. A great presentation on the plate as well. Very decorative. I skipped Desert because it was lunch and just drank another glass of the white wine. I did pay close attention to the sounds coming from my fellow diners. It seemed that they liked there deserts very much. Now I'm no idiot. I know that there are places, settings and times that make your culinary experience better. Like your in a Foody dream world with all your desires being played out to perfection. So there was a little of this going on as I experienced our lunch. But in order to get 5 stars from me it has to be a memorable and cherished time. This was one. The service simply added to the overall appeal. My hats off to Il Lago. I will return for sure.

Yelp
Excellent Italian restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel with polished service. One of the few good restaurants open on Sundays in Geneva.
