Il Lago

Knowing is a michelin star restaurant and situated in four season hotel. However was somewhat disappointed. Ordered their Britainny lobster, was 160chf, but it wasn't impressive. We have traveled extensively around the world, wine and dine in many michelin starred restaurants. The food here can be improved. Definitely not worth the price and the hype. Service was good though, very attentive staffs.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish, warm welcome by security then ending with a fantastic Leopard Room suggestion from the hosts. Four Seasons Il Lago sets the standard with the food, ambience & outstanding service. Life is meant to be enjoyed around good company & the Il Lago provides this in abundance. Thank you to everyone who we talked with, we will be telling everyone back in Scotland about the lasting good impressions.

We had a super nice lunch. We last visited the restaurant back in a January 2019. It was as good as we remember it was last time we visited. The restaurant is really nice and the staff are all very friendly and service oriented. The truffle pasta is really good, some of the best I ever had. We will be back soon again.

The restaurant is beautiful, stunning interior. But let’s talk about the food, the experience was amazing and the food was delicious! Also the presentations of each dish was 10/10. Would definitely return here.

An unbeatable buffet brunch experience. You really just want to eat it all. The presentation is impeccable and the food itself is top notch. A special thank you to the door man at the Ritz Carlton who directed us here as the Living Room at the Ritz was fully booked. An even extra big thank you to the door man at The Four Seasons who ushered us in on arrival and took us straight to Il Lago because he knew the experience we were looking for.

A very upscale establishment, not sure about a dress code but I’d recommend to come dressed nice. The food was amazing, with excellent service. A very good wine list with knowledgeable staff.

Unbelievable experience. From the service to the food and atmosphere it was an experience. Our host was amazing and she was accompanied by a full team who helped select wines and drinks and made sure our every need was met. The food was to die for. You MUST experience this for yourself!

Great food, fine wines and excellent service. Visited two days in a row, highly recommend their pasta, scallop and octopus.

Let me set the stage. Beautiful sunny afternoon in Geneva. We were invited for lunch by our friends from Portugal. We decided to sit outside which is a fun experience of its own. Bustling people and traffic going by. The Geneva style, men in full suit riding a bike or lady's with there colorful summer dresses and there Louis Vuitton flats. Such an amazing venue in itself. So then we start with the food and wine. I decided to have fish so a nice white burgundy was my wine choice. Normally I picture the label but I forgot in the middle of all my culinary excitement. I remember it was a meursault. Don't remember vintage or producer. But very good. So I started with the shrimp and steak tartar with truffle. Amazing flavor and the truffle, wow. Then I had the tuna. Was seared rare and lightly salted. Was amazing. A great presentation on the plate as well. Very decorative. I skipped Desert because it was lunch and just drank another glass of the white wine. I did pay close attention to the sounds coming from my fellow diners. It seemed that they liked there deserts very much. Now I'm no idiot. I know that there are places, settings and times that make your culinary experience better. Like your in a Foody dream world with all your desires being played out to perfection. So there was a little of this going on as I experienced our lunch. But in order to get 5 stars from me it has to be a memorable and cherished time. This was one. The service simply added to the overall appeal. My hats off to Il Lago. I will return for sure.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel with polished service. One of the few good restaurants open on Sundays in Geneva.
