Il Melograno Ristorante Altopascio

We had an anniversary dinner at Il Melograni. We were a family with 3 generations present. The food and service was amazing. We had preordered the meal with a cake for dessert. Beatiful and tasty cake and my parents were superhappy with the food and arrangements. I highly recommend the restaurant. Well done, Matteo and the rest of the team.

Nice staff welcomes you with a smile. Nice outdoor setting. Excellent food & reasonable price and great hospitality. But watch out! If you are seated near by garden plants, very vicious mosquitoes attack you without a mercy. I got 7 bites on my legs, ankles, and around 8 big bites on back, shoulder and arms. The waiter felt sorry for me and offered me a discount. I will not be returning here even though food & service was good.

WE JUST ATE AT THIS RESTAURANT. BASED ON MICHILINE RATING THEY HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. IT WAS VERY HOT WE CHOSE THIS RESTAURANT BASED ON IT HAVING A/C. I ASKED TO HAVE ONE OF THE A/C UNITS BY OUR TABLE TURNED ON (THERE ARE AT LEAST 5 SEPARATE A/C UNITS) AND THE STAFF TOLD US NO! BECAUSE THE DOORS ARE OPEN. WE WERE TOLD TO SIT OUTSIDE BECAUSE ITS COOLER. WE ALREADY SAID WE DON'T SMOKE AND DONT WANT TO BE OUTSIDE AROUND SMOKING. WE WERE THERE 2 HOURS SWEATING AND WERE FINALLY PLACED OUTSIDE NEAR SMOKER'S. WE ASKED FOR THE STEAK TO BE A LITTLE LESS RARE AS WE DON'T WANT TO EAT RAW MEAT BUT IT STILL CAME VERY VERY RARE. THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT BUT DONT REALLY SPEAK ENGLISH. THE PASTA WAS GOOD. BUT IF YOU WANT TO EAT INSIDE WITH AIR CONDITIONING AS STATED IN THE MICHELIN GUIDE, GO ELSWHERE! ALSO THE WINE WE HAD, A MONTECARLO ROSSO WAS TERRIBLE! A RESTAURANT THAT RATES ITSELF THIS HIGH SHOULD BE SURE ALL ITS WINES ARE OF A GOOD CALIBER. THIS DINNER COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE, BUT INSTEAD IT WAS AN EXPENSIVE $100 LET DOWN TO AN OTHERWISE PLEASANT DAY.
