Il Michelaccio

We came for lunch and it was the best restaurant experience we had in Genova. Service was excellent, wine list incredible.. amazing labels. Very interesting and tasty food. Their own take on many classics, food with character and well executed. We had a great time, super recommend.

I had a really great food experience here: I came without reservation and had a seat immediately. The service was quick, the food was tasty. Also they have natural wine in the restaurant. Highly recommend

Great place! After a grueling series of connecting flights, we were very tired and wanted a quick meal near our hotel. We saw this place had great reviews online and stopped in. The food was delicious and fresh, but what was really great was the helpful restaurant staff. They were very patient and kind and helped to translate their menu for us as our Italian is limited. It was a relief to have such a helpful server in our tired and hungry state. Recommend!

A lovely authentic and traditional restaurant down a quiet street in Genoa. The food is presented very simple but the chefs are very clever in letting the flavours be the star of the show. The service and atmosphere was excellent !

Hade the Gnocchi pesto and Ravioli, excellently cooked. Awesome service by the staff and interior. All together gives this place 5 stars.

Don't see why people are so positive about this place to be honest. The staff is indeed very friendly and the atmosphere is great, it's could have been one of those hidden gems type of places if it wasn't for the quality of food, we didn't finish anything of what we ordered: instead of grilled tuna steak I got something rubber-like smoky, with notes of teriyaki sauce - totally not Italian and my wife got some mashed beans, which they told is typical Genovese but had quite a disgust by sour taste and texture as if someone chew them before :| all in all 65 EUR. I'd only do there for wine & some snacks, but the walk up the hill could be off putting

This restaurant has an incredible atmosphere, located under the ancient wall, hidden behind wide trees. Every time I come there, feels very cozy. Staff is very welcoming, never long waiting. Food is very good as well. Especially risotto with raspberries and anchovies! Just for that I am ready to come back there again and again!

The best risotto I ever had. Also the carpaccio and the cod was amazing
