Il Molo Portonovo

We spent a few relaxing days at Il Molo Portonovo and were thoroughly impressed. Renting two sunbeds and an umbrella for just €27 felt like a great deal, especially considering the overall quality of the beach setup. The area is well-organized, clean, and offers everything you need for a comfortable seaside escape. 🍹 There’s easy access to food and drinks, which made our days even more enjoyable. The free cold sweet water showers were a refreshing touch, and for those who prefer a bit more comfort, warm showers are available for a small fee. 🏖️ The entrance to the sea is smooth and safe, perfect for swimmers of all ages. The bay itself is stunning—crystal-clear waters framed by natural beauty that make it a truly picturesque spot. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and are already planning to return. Il Molo Portonovo gets our wholehearted recommendation!

The restaurant had a nice location, but the food was rather disappointing — flavors were bland and not worth the hype. Prices felt unreasonably high for the quality offered. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations.

We waited 45 minutes for our lunch, my wife's pasta was luke warm. My pasta was quite delicious. The homemade chips for really nice.

Great food, very well presented and wonderfully prepared. I asked for a well-done steak which is hard to make as usually it gets really hard but it was very delicious and soft. Good selection of wines. Wonderful staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is just glorious.

Fantastic food. You expect great seafood at the coast in Italy, but this is another level. We had the 50€ per head set menu. Every dish was elevated to another level by the chef. The service is spot-on, passionate but friendly.

Spectacular location, food presentation is nice, but our spigola fillet was a very small portion for the €20 it cost. The carbonara all Molo was the house special and really good. The wine list is amazing and we had a beautiful Sardinian wine. Our waiter was very good. The menu though for us was difficult to read because the layout was all over the place - some items were in block print, some were normal print and it was not an easy menu to study.

A beautiful location. And great service. We have eaten here before. It is now more upmarket. The food was very nice, though a little on the expensive side now. My fish with salad was smaller than expected for €20

Very good restaurant direct on the beach. We visited the restaurant twice for lunch. It’s a must to make a reservation but you can do this via their website ver easily. We had the seafood carbonara which was outstanding. The mosciolo and the fresh catch of the day (sea bass in our case) were also very delicious. We had local white wine which was really good and affordable for the quality. Staff is also very friendly.
