One of our favorite italian spots in all of Monmouth County! The food is top notch and delicious every time. You can’t go wrong with any of the home made pastas. Rotating menu keeps it interesting every time we return. Love visiting Il Nido and the service is phenomenal. We make a point to sit with James and he is a class act! From wine recommendations to attentiveness, always a fabulous experience in his section. Love this place and can’t wait for the next meal.

Grateful for an organic restaurant, a rare and amazing feature. Atmosphere is amazing, good feel and layout. The menu seemed to have a good balance of items that sound great! The food we got was pretty good. Would recommend the Wagyu meatballs, ricotta and spicy rigatoni. The octopus was my least favorite as it lacked any flavor and the texture was rubbery. Almost like they caught it, cut it in 4 huge chunks, and popped it on a plate with expensive garnishes to imply it would taste good. I’d strongly suggest reworking this dish, perhaps slice it in smaller pieces, season it along with cooking it a bit more. The steak was ok, nothing to write about same with the almond biscotti ice cream. It’s essentially vanilla ice cream with ground almond biscotti in it. Go for the pistachio, way better.

Surprised my wife and took her here for her birthday after saying we needed to try it for a year. And it absolutely did not disappoint! We could not have had a better experience and can’t wait to go back. The setting, the service, the wine, the food, was everything we could have hoped for and left extremely satisfied. Every dish we had was immaculate and the attention to detail with table service, plating, you name it, was top tier. All the food was super fresh and beautifully prepared and all the staff was super friendly. We look forward to our next visit in the near future!

Il Nido is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced — not just in New Jersey, but anywhere. Dining here feels like you’ve stepped into a Michelin-starred restaurant in NYC. The food is exceptional. Chef Robert Santello delivers true culinary artistry — each dish crafted with passion, precision, and purpose. The ingredients are premium, the flavors are bold yet balanced, and the plating is flawless. I had the pleasure of meeting him personally, and it’s clear he takes his craft extremely seriously. His work deserves far more recognition — it’s that special. Service? Just as remarkable. Norman, the manager, is warm, professional, and attentive. James, my server on multiple visits, is incredibly knowledgeable and offers thoughtful recommendations, including the stunning 2021 Jayson by Pahlmeyer red wine — a perfect pairing for several of the dishes. Their Negroni is easily one of the best I’ve had. Not once have I had a bad meal here. If you’re looking for a true culinary experience without the NYC drive, Il Nido in Marlboro is where you want to be. A hidden gem — and one that deserves all the acclaim it gets.

This rustic yet stylish Tuscan styled restaurant is a perfect pick for a special dinner. Starters and entrees were outstanding and well presented. Delicious! Unlike other fine and successful restaurants that focus too much on table turnover, Il Nido’s service was professional, well spaced, and un-rushed. A hidden gem!!!

Beautiful paintings, fantastic food, amazing service. They walk the line between fancy and friendly like no other. The host are very warm & smiley, James, my waiter is very personable. I eat by myself and stay longer than expected each time chatting with him. I go waaay out of my way just to be here. Beautiful paintings, delicious food, everything about this place is mesmerizing. The charred clams taste like an oyster Rockefeller. The anchovy in the bone marrow gives it a delightful saltiness. The chicken taste like what chicken used to taste like back before all the preservatives and whatnot. The scallops are buttery & fall apart with a fork.

First time dining here and it was truly exceptional. The charred clams appetizer is a must try! Their pasta is noticeably made fresh in-house. Both our desserts were delicious. We will definitely be returning!

This is an amazing Italian restaurant. They pride themselves on their organic and fresh menu. They are constantly updating their menu so that it fits the season. Every bite of food was out of this world. We enjoyed the meatballs, crab tortellini, scallops, sea bass and the fillet. For dessert we enjoyed the pistachio cake and cheesecake. Cocktails were tasty and well balanced. We can’t wait to come back again soon!!

I've had Il Nido on my radar for a bit and finally went on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is dimly lit and tastefully done. It's divided into 2 dining areas. Service was good overall and we were not rushed. Appetizers Caesar salad Octopus Entrees Branzino served with gritty polenta ( they accommodated our request for the polenta) Veal Osso Buco Dessert Budino Zeppoles Good experience overall. We were surprised that it wasn't more busy for a weekend night. Hopefully they will remain for many more years to come.

I'm so sad to have to downgrade my rating. Il Nido was actually my favorite restaurant in central jersey between the incredible food, atmosphere, and welcoming service. The restaurant has been empty for months now because the food has taken a turn for the worst and the service is god awful. The last straw since the management change around 1 year ago was when we dined in a few months back and the waitress took my plate away as I was mid-bite... We haven't been back because the food isn't nearly as good as it once was and that experience was truly bizarre. Unfortunately, Il Nido will probably be closed before the year is over if they keep this up.

This hidden gem in a shopping center blew all of my expectations and was definitely on top of my list for my go to's now for Italian cuisine. We came to this spot after learning it from Joe Rogans podcast. Thank goodness I listened and actually took this into consideration this time. The ambiance and decor is definitely something you wouldn't expect. You walk in and it feels like a restaurant in the Italian countryside. Rustic and classy at the time. Great spot for formal occasions and dates. Thanks to our amazing waitress (Carmen) recommendations and service for our meal were top tier. For our appetizers it was recommended that we split the Wagyu Meatballs, Caesar salad and prosciutto with burrata. For the second round, we split 2 pasta dishes. Red wine parpadelle with short braised short rib and spicy rigatoni. Both dishes were amazing, however I can whole heartedly say that the spicy rigatoni was the favorite. Only bad thing I can say is that I wish there was more. Even though we had more than enough food, we foolishly ordered. A third round for entree which comprised of Ribeye with complimentary roasted bone marrow, filet mignon, seared tuna steak and Pork chops. All the entrees were exceptional and cooked to perfection. Owner (Anthony) and manager Norman were gracious enough to check in on us, making sure everything was to our liking. The staff here were very hospitable and really made our first time experience a memorable one. Will definitely be coming back with the rest of my friends and family.

This is a difficult review to do because there were some great things and some not so great. So I will be very fair. Four of us in our party went for my son's birthday dinner. He picked this because of the reputation and because all of us are big foodies. The service was impeccable. Very attentive and first rate. The drinks were fantastic. The wine selection is impeccable. Overpriced but it costs to keep good wine well, and you pay a premium at an upscale restaurant. The wine was indeed fantastic. But be ready for that bottle to be a quarter of your bill. The appetizers and meals were delicious. The quality of the ingredients and skill of preparation was excellent. We had shrimp arancini that cooked well with pickled fennel that was amazing. The beef carpaccio was tender, served with delicious mushrooms and a sort of olive tapenade with lovely crackers. So tasty. The octopus was tender and grilled perfectly. The tabbouleh and farro salad was delicious and a nice fresh counterpoint to the grilled octopus. For our main meals, we had spicy rigatoni with beef brisket topped with toasted breadcrumbs, gnocchi with sausage and broccoli rabe, duck over puree, and short rib parpadalle. All of these were outstanding. The pasta was phenomenal. The sauces were all delicious and perfectly made. What disappointed? Two things. The bread basket bread and the desserts. The bread basket. This is an Italian restaurant. Bread is essential. I was completely shocked the bread was typical ordinary two star Italian bakery level round wheat loaf. Not crispy homemade. Not that crusty substantial Italian bread that we all know and love. How can you have a meal for four that cost more than $120 a person all tolled and have mid level bread?! Bread is easy to get right at a mediocre local Italian restaurant/cafe/bistro. How do they get that SO wrong. Dessert -- We were surprised given the quality of our main meal that the desserts were very subpar. Not mediocre. Not okay. Subpar. We had the olive oil cake, cookies, and bomboloni (Italian donuts stuffed wirh cannoli cream). First the olive oil cake - it was bland. To be clear here, we are fans of olive oil cake and have eaten it at many upscale places before. This was truly bland and boring. The sauce was also bland and insufficient to remedy the cake. The gelato on the side was also meh. The apple crumb topping tasted EXACTLY like Apple Jacks cereal, which we all found very offputting. It's a weird thing to have an upscale olive oil cake that reminded us of a bowl of pedestrian supermarket cereal. It's an odd choice. The bomboloni was also bland. The cream didn't taste like cannoli cream. It was creamy. But bland. Lacking those ricotta/salty/sweet notes of cannoli cream. To be honest two of at the table I would have sworn it was homemade whipped cream. Perhaps the cannoli cream was combined with whipped cream to lighten it, but there was zero cannoli cream flavor in that cream. And it was light and thin like a whipped cream. The donut was fried right and was light. But it too was bland. No vanilla taste at all. Finally the complete disappointment were the cookies. We chose the cookies with the thought that for this quality of a restaurant to have them on the menu they must be amazing. And honestly - if you're going to have them on this sort of a menu, you MUST knock it out of the park. Sadly, they weren't even the quality of school bake sale cookies. Yes they were large. Yes they were soft. They had little to no chocolate taste. Little to no brown sugar taste. They were so bland if you closed your eyes and at ate them I would bet you couldn't tell me they were cookies - let alone chocolate chip cookies. In short, when you're excited to close out the meal with a great dessert and then end up utterly disappointed, it just ends up sort of deflating the whole experience. At these prices, they must get the whole thing right. And to get dessert and bread SO wrong, the meal fails overall. We walked out on a low note. That is definitely not how it should be at a place like this.

The vibe was really nice--we sat in a cozy room with a fireplace, which was a great touch. Service was excellent, very attentive. The bread they brought out was really good, but they didn't ask if we wanted more, which was a little disappointing. I got the orange mule--it tasted good but wasn't very strong. We shared the shrimp arancini to start. It was okay, nothing special. My husband didn't like it--he thought it was too mushy. For mains, I had the truffle pasta special and my husband got the spicy rigatoni. My pasta was a bit too salty and didn't have enough mushrooms. Both dishes were really small, which was surprising. With so many great Italian spots around, I don't think we'd go back--mainly because the portions just didn't feel worth it.

My first visit to Il Nido was highly anticipated and just short of perfect. The menu definitely appeals to food lovers and I was excited to share multiple dishes with my family. We all agreed that the appetizers were the stars of the show, my favorite being the autumn crostino, it was absolutely delectable. Appetizers: - Autumn Crostino *** - Jersey Scallops *** - Charred Clams I had drooled over photos online of the charred clam appetizer but I ultimately found it to fall short of my expectations. The focaccia it was serviced on was buttery but suprsingly not crunchy, which I think would have improved the texture of the dish. However, all three appetizers were thoroughly enjoyed. Entrees: - Raviolini (crab, squash) *** - Tagliolini (wild boar, espresso, chocolate) - Halibut Entrees were taking a while to come out but that wasn't a problem for us. However, when the entrees were served, all three were room temperature. We did not want to send all of our entrees back or complain. Unfortunately, our table sat directly beneath the air conditioning and we had told the server it was cold at our table but the comment went ignored. As a result, the entrees were cold within minutes. This was truly disappointing, and service definitely slowed down after this and I wish we had said something sooner. Despite this, the ravioli was excellent with really great flavor. The sauce of the tagliolini was unique and delicious, however I felt it would have paired better with a larger pasta. Dessert: - Olive Oil Cake - Almond Biscotti Gelato We could have done without the desserts and didn't particularly enjoy either one. The gelato tasted more like ice cream and lacked the creaminess that makes gelato so special. Overall, I found that Il Nido had the potential for 5 stars but a few things had stopped us from enjoying the restaurant fully. I will 100% be back as the seasonal menu changes and look forward to dining again!

I enjoyed the meal very much. The service was impeccable. The food was first class. Homemade pasta. Fantastic sauces. It is expensive to be sure but the quality is superb. The sauces were delicious.

This is my 2nd time going to Il Nido. I hadn't been there in about 2 years. It was for my boyfriend's birthday so I felt that would be a really nice place to take him. I requested to sit either in front of the fireplace or the chef's table and they were able to accommodate me with either one. We first opted for the chef's table, but I felt the fireplace was a nicer vibe since it was for his birthday. We started off with the Il Nido Caesar salad and the Pulpo Alla Griglia(octopus) Both were exceptional. I myself, make homemade Caesar salad, so I am always very critical. It was so good. The octopus was also extremely tender... both were great appetizers to share. Even the bread was fantastic. I had the halibut which was absolutely delicious... If I see halibut on a menu, I always order halibut because it is my favorite fish. It was prepared in a delicious sauce, and it even came with a couple of muscles. My boyfriend had a pasta special which he thoroughly enjoyed. Since it was his birthday, I had requested on my notes that whatever we order for dessert to please put a candle in it. He opted to not have dessert as he knew what I was going to do, and our waiter was so nice that he still brought out a vanilla gelato with a candle on it and Happy Birthday was written on the plate...it was on the house. That was an extremely nice gesture. We also had two glasses of wine(Paso Robles & Ladouceur), & we also each had the called Spring Fever. Spring fever was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it. It was a fantastic dining experience, and so happy we went there for his birthday. The only downfall was that I did feel bad for the waiter as he was handling every table in the room. Not his fault, and they need to get at least one or maybe two more waiters to help him. He did his best to accommodate, but we didn't get our wine until halfway through our main course. Again, not his fault, but Management should definitely help him out and hire more people. I will definitely be back. It is a wonderful restaurant.

This Italian establishment is located in a unremarkable strip mall but you enter into somewhat of a cozy oasis. The meatballs were my favorite dish of the night followed by the panna cotta. The spicy rigatoni was good but wasn't on the same level as the meatballs. The ricotta and focaccia ratio was off to me as I felt like there wasn't enough focaccia to ricotta. Nonetheless, all the food I had was delicious and I will come here again. This is a great spot for dinner.

I'm in disbelief as to how I have never eaten at Il Nido during my 25 years of living in Marlboro. Guess I need to go out and touch grass more often because this restaurant will be my go-to date night spot from now on. You wouldn't expect much from a crusty strip mall restaurant, but the interior is beautiful. It forreal felt like a bougie log cabin. I didn't feel like I was in Marlboro anymore. The food was sooo NOM. The caesar salad here is easily my favorite I've ever had. It had a stronger anchovy taste, which I LOVED. Pastas were very good. Smaller portions, but the quality was there, and we were stuffed by the end of our meal. Expect NYC prices, but honestly, I would take this over Carbone any day. The service was great. Though it did get a little slow as the dining room filled. It was a full house at 6pm on a Saturday evening (to be expected). Will for SURE be coming back to try the other pastas!

We had the server James twice now - however all the servers and workers are very professional, attentive and nice. We want to thank James for accommodating our special requests the last two times he was our server. The food is super delicious! I found our meal over the winter to be slightly better than our last visit, but our reservation was much later in the evening I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. We tried the scallop app, Caesar salad, filet and took home the cheesecake. My god the cheesecake was decadent! Loved the filet except missed the Brussel sprouts which had come with it over the winter. The inside ambiance is super cozy, with lots of wood, mood lighting, and they play relaxing music that makes you feel at-home. They didn't rush us at all during our last visit even though we were one of the last tables. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as they get super busy especially over the weekend. Excited to go back and thank you so much!!!

Ambiance and service gets it 5 stars. Shoutout to carmen our amazing waitress. We started off with drinks and bread was brought to the table with olive oil. Simple but delicious. We then followed it with a wagyu meatball. The sauce was good, though a bit bland. I had the special of the evening which was a homemade sheet of ravioli made with shrimp. I thought it was delicious. I wished the pasta would've been a bit softer. I dropped my fork trying to cut into the edges. My wife had the short rib pasta and loved it. We then had dessert. This was where it got underwhelming. Both the olive oil cake and the brownie were dense and dry like they were store bought and refrigerate. Overall would go here again.

Il Nido is a hidden gem! Who knew such an eclectic menu, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere could be found in a strip mall. My family shared 3 appetizers and 3 entrees, while all delicious in their own way the standout must order dishes are the autumn crostino, Jersey scallops, raviolini and the tagliolini. Everything was packed with so much flavor and the garnishes complement all of the dishes well. All of the pasta dishes were cooked perfectly al dente. I'm excited to go back for a 5 star experience as I landed on 4 stars the first time around as service got slower as the meal went on and the food came out room temp and quickly chilled as we were seated right below the air conditioning.

Food was good, creative with ingredient combinations. Cocktail menu is different and delicious. Atmosphere was nice, not too loud, we're able to enjoy conversation at our table and we were not rushed thru dinner. With that being said our server was friendly but lacking in attention to our table or maybe experience, when taking our order had no pen, disappeared for 15/20 minutes before returning, had to ask for more bread, asks a question about a pasta dishes walked away, had refill our own water glasses, and even forgot to bring a side and one of the coffees ordered. 3% service charge and the amount our bill I would have expected better service. I guess you have to be an Instagram influencer or famous to get good service. We would go back for the food but there are other places to try first.

Everything was exquisite. You can taste the fresh ingredients. The service was fantastic and attentive and I love our seating right in front of the fireplace. I'm excited to go back. Definitely a must try.

This place is a hidden gem. I typically don't get chicken at a restaurant but when I tell you this is the best chicken I've ever had, it's the best chicken I've ever had. The sauce has the most delicious balsamic glaze. The squid ink cavatelli had a small kick to it and the perfect bite (Al dente indeed). We also got vodka sauce with shrimp. Service is phenomenal. I left my credit card in the table and someone from the staff came running out to find me to return my credit card to me. 10/10 will be back.

We were a large party. They set us up in a room in the back that had a curtain. So it was kinda private which was nice. We ordered some appetizers. The bread was good. The olive oil was great. I ordered the gnocchi special. It was ok. Tried some of the other pastas on the table. They tasted better. Our waiter was very nice. My only complaint was the bill has a 3% charge for CC on it. And i was paying cash. It turned into an unnecessary mess at the end of an otherwise real good meal and good time

Wow what a long wait at hostess stand. No one in sight and we aren't even acknowledged for 10 minutes. Once we sat the experience got a little better. The three cheese ravioli was delicious. The, branzino had a funky smell to it. One of the worst dishes I have had. The crispy potatoes were delicious with the aioli being lovely. The beet salad was nice as well. The shrimp aranchini had a nice crispy and flavor. The best thing we had. Also enjoyed the zeppoles. They were like munchkins from dunkin donuts but kicked up. They had good flavor with the honey and pistachio's as garnish. Overall, food was decent (minus the branzino) but service was not good. Wouldn't come back.

Il Nido is one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. It's a high class restaurant with high class service. Our waitress nailed every recommendation and was a pleasure to be served by. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a date or family dinner. Every single bite was so delicious, and I really appreciate the uniqueness and authenticity of this restaurant. Some highlights of my meal were the charred clams, beef carpaccio, and the garganelli pork ragù. We need more restaurants like il Nido! Everything is so carefully prepared.

Another amazing dinner at il nido. I just can't say enough great things about the food, romantic ambience , and staff. You must come try this beautiful experience. The food is innovative, fresh and different every single time you come. The cocktail menu is delicious. I wish I was able to drink more then one drink. ( I just cant). They are just so delicious! Parking is easy.

Seated quickly on a weeknight but I know this place gets packed on the weekends. Service was pleasant and fast. Cocktails were good, they have a few old fashions on the menu. I got a gnocchi dish thinking it would be a decent portion but it was pretty small for the price I paid - luckily I was not that hungry. My husband ordered a steak and he was very impressed. I would probably go back and split a pasta dish and a main dish to eat amongst two people. The pastas are under the part of the menu "primi" so I guess it's implied that it's a smaller dish and not the main? Not sure but sometimes you just want to eat pasta for dinner and be full

Looking back on 2022, I had some very excellent meals at some very excellent restaurants. Il Nido is without question at the very top when I think about my recent experience. For starters, the service is very attentive. Expect everything from a doorman to your plates regularly cleared to your waters topped. Also expect freshly baked bread served with olive oil. We started with a couple of drinks off their cocktail list. I really enjoyed their Maple Old Fashioned and my girlfriend liked her Pink Lady. For the food, we began with their grilled octopus served with lentils. It was meaty and juicy. We practically licked the plate clean. For dinner, we ordered the Wagyu short rib and squid ink spaghetti. The pasta was superb - you can tell it's freshly made. The short rib was the best I've ever had and practically melted in my mouth. I left none of it to spare. We topped the meal off with their lemon ricotta cheesecake and espresso. We did not feel rushed. In fact, it was a very relaxing experience and perfectly rounded out the year with a bang. I already can't wait to go back and can't recommend them enough.

Tsk tsk. I was hoping this review would be incredible. It is not. This organic restaurant has a very limited menu. Don't ache for shrimp before coming, none are available. Presentation is awesome but pricing is way too high for what you get. We don't like large portions but don't like small portions with large price tags that are not incredible tasting. Sorry.

As I walked in my mood immediately picked up. It's a beautiful, dimly lit interior, very cozy with just enough tables to create an intimate dinner setting. The expectation was immediately set to a give star review. The server clearly was having an off night. Not that he didn't properly take our order, but he never smiled the whole evening, which was off putting, to say the least. Saving grace were the cleaning crew who worked their butts off and smiled at every turn. The food looked beautiful, but unfortunately tasted less than. The gnocchi which was bland and flavorless, the desert "donut" tasted overly greasy and topped with Nutella, and even the meatballs tasted like they came out of the frozen section of a local grocery store. Bottom line, the food was below par, the cuisine did not meet taste expectations, and certainly not the price one pays for it.

To summarize, food was a little over 4 stars but service was abysmal, near 1 star. First time visiting after hearing great reviews. The ambiance was beautiful and the meatballs, spicy rigatoni and potatoes were top notch, kudos to the chef. Our server visited what felt like once an hour. It was not a busy night by any means in the restaurant world. Drinks were slow to come out and then never cleared from the table, mistakes were made with entering our order but never taken off the bill, we were never given utensils and our dinner plates came out. We had to get up from our seat and find our server in the restaurant to ask for utensils. When the server cleared our table, red sauce was dripping on the floor right next to my leg, trying to carry too much spilling drinks as they are carried off the table. Just poor professionalism in there.

Absolutely amazing. Food is incredible with so much attention to detail. We can't wait to go back with family. Pasta options were unique and didn't fall into the standard Italian/American cuisine trap. It was like a breath of fresh air going there!

Second time visiting here with my boyfriend. Everytime the food is amazing! The problem is the service. Upon our first visit, we sat for nearly 3 hours in an empty restaurant waiting on drinks and service. They clearly felt badly and gave us dessert for free, which is nice but didn't really make up for it. We decided to give it a second time around since we loved the food so much. The service started great. We were moving at a steady pace. Then once our apps came out we never saw our server again. Not even at other tables. My boyfriend never got the drink he ordered. We saw another server moving around and very attentive with his tables. Our server was no where to be seen. Strange. All in all, it's great food for terrible service. Probably not going to return.

The service was exceptional. The server was attentive and professional. The food was exactly as ordered. There was a fire going and it was easy to have a conversation with the table.

This is our second meal at Il Nido in the last month. It was so good we came back for New Year's Eve and it did not disappoint! Il Nido has it all, amazing, attentive service, delicious food and a very nice spacious ambiance. Oh and very good cocktails and wine too! Even on a very busy New Year's Eve, we really enjoyed ourselves. We started off with the Cauliflower Dip. Don't let the name make it seem unimpressive, this dip was so good. It is served with the crispiest, crunchiest bread, just perfect for the smooth texture of the cauliflower that is topped with pistachio. Yum! i ordered the 4 Story chicken which was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Love that all the food is organic and Story Hill is actually a farm in PA. Hubby has the Scallops and Lobster which he thoroughly enjoyed along with the scrumptious crispy potatoes. Every single potato was crispy and so good. What a pleasant surprise. Not your regular potatoes, that's for sure. We finished the meal with the Apple Tart which was so buttery good and came with thinly sliced apples that were so yummy. I didn't get to taste the gelato as hubby polished it all off before i could even taste it! Enough said on that! Il Nido is probably the best restaurant in Marlboro. It checks all the boxes and more. Came out to dinner here for a second time. The cozy atmosphere, and delicious food brought me back. Started off with the Cesar Salad, it was so fresh and the egg was cooked to perfection! Ordered the spicy rigatoni for dinner, I'm not normally someone who enjoys spicy so our server suggested "hold the spice". Service was quick! Highly suggest booking a reservation here. We were lucky to score one last minute on a Friday evening. We will be back!

The ambiance is cozy and warm. The service from Erica and staff was excellent. I took my family for Father's Day celebration and glad that I did. The food was delicious and very unique. We thoroughly enjoyed this place and will be back. Make sure you get the clams dusk.

The food was delicious. We got the beef tartare crostini The mashed potato filled gnocchi with truffle and mushrooms Dry aged ribeye with crispy potatoes and bone marrow Roasted chicken with veggies Everything was delicious but if I had to choose, their pasta was the best. Next time I go, I'd just get 3-4 pasta dishes to share. The atmosphere was nice and classy. Our server was named Erica and she made sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. It's very rare to find a nice traditional classy restaurant with an open kitchen in a time where everything is about instagram and the 'trend'. Worth every penny, 100% would go again. p.s: might be a biased review since I proposed and got engaged 30min before my meal.

I thought the restaurant was pretty good. The ambience was nice, the service was pretty good, the waiter was attentive. I had a veal pasta Bolognese, which was very good, I highly recommend it. In terms of value, I didn't think it was a great value. The pricing was very high and the portions were not that big. I was very disappointed in this factor, I am all about value, and I don't think this was a good value. The place was nice. The food was good, the service was good, but the price they charge was too high for what they gave you. I didn't even wanna think about wearing a steak, as the price of all the steaks were through the roof! Look at the menuonline if you can see it! It's crazy. Probably won't go back again, and that's mostly because of the value.

Very nice ambiance. The server was very friendly and patient. The food was very good. Good place for a date night or intimate dinner with friends. The hurrays appetizer was my favorite. Pasta dishes are all great as they make fresh in house pasta.

Interesting, carefully crafted dishes with unique flavors. Chef's table made for a fun view behind-the-scenes. James was an excellent waiter, knowledgeable about the food and wine, plus very personable. Looking forward to returning for our next special occasion.

Il Nido was an experience. The fact that everything is grass-fed and organic makes you feel good about the food you're eating. The pastas are made from scratch. You can tell that a lot of care goes into the food - especially when the menu changes so frequently. We started with shrimp and raw oysters. The oysters varied in size but all tasted fantastic (forgot to take a picture). I can't speak for all of the dishes but I ordered the filet mignon medium rare. It was a delicious plate and came with a variety of mushrooms in a cream sauce. I personally love eating a variety of mushrooms, although I did think the cream sauce was a tad salty. However we ordered sides of broccoli rabe and polenta - both were delish - but the polenta was even better dipped in the cream sauce. Yum! Steak was cooked perfect too. My fiancé enjoyed the black spaghetti and liked that the squid ink was cooked into the spaghetti. Sometimes when you have squid ink, it gets all over your mouth and teeth - but this didn't - which we liked. Dessert was good too. The ricotta cheesecake was so light. Although this place is very expensive, it truly is an experience. I enjoyed my night there and I'm sure you will too.

Not bad not bad! I didn't know it was located in a plaza, but you would never know once you're inside. Ambiance is so cozy and on the fancier side. From the hostess to our server, really good service. The food was tasty! Their menu changes often, but our favorite was the pasta with hints of espresso and dark chocolate (not sweet at all, savory actually). We ate it so fast I didn't take a pic. Steak was tasty, too. I would come back!

Fantastic venue. Were lucky enough to have a reservation on a quiet night, near the fire place in a dim lit dining room. The food was great. The drinks were great. And service was fine. Prices are a tad high for the area and the quality, with other options of more authentic Italian food being cheaper, but with less of the ambiance. Recommend for date nights and good Italian food.

As soon as I walked into Il Nido I felt like "this is the kind of special place you go out on a date." Well I was by myself, and I walked away feeling like this was the best date I've ever taken myself on! The service was attentive and welcoming from the start to finish. I felt at home even though I was a weirdo eating there by myself, treating myself to a fantastic meal. The environment was very cool and classic. The food, oh my gosh, the food. Elegant and delicious. I ordered the Wagyu meatballs to start, along with the grapefruit old fashioned. The meatballs were succulent and flavorful. Perfect temperature and texture, balanced in every way. Second dish was the halibut. The sauce it came with flavored with the leeks and mushrooms and hint of lemon was the perfect partner to the fish, which had a crisp outer texture but flaked just enough with the touch of a fork. Even if I was alone, I was in love, with the food! If I lived closer to Il NidI'd bring my wife to show her how much she means to me. But honestly this was the perfect place to treat myself as well.

Elegant & Attention to detail Dishes are made from scratch with fresh organic ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed the assortment of appetizers ordered. The roasted beets were paired perfectly with soft goat's milk cheese. I've also never had a better salad than the grilled artichoke salad, and the piccolo charcuterie board was the perfect amount for 4 people to pick from before our main dishes. Honestly, we were a little disappointed to learn that they don't serve the split bone marrow shank every night. It is was drew us in to try this restaurant, however, we were still extremely satisfied with their other options. I ordered the best pasta ever. The pappardelle with braised oxtail is amazing. It comes in a flavorful broth, and isn't too rich. So delicious! The atmosphere is very well planned. Although it was a busy night, the way in which the walls were placed minimizes the noise and genuinely makes you feel like you're in someone's home. I also don't frequently talk about bathrooms, but the thoughtfulness and attention to detail flows into that space as well. The only thing I would critique is the tira misu, as it was presented in a "deconstructed" style and that really took away from the desert. The chocolate dome was delicious, however the lady finger was a little dry. Overall we were more than satisfied and I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for some delicious Italian food.

Wasn't blown away. Actually feel that Aunt Butchies has better tasting food. My dish could had been less salty. I did the Rigatoni dish. The Meatball appetizer did help get the score up to three stars. Was also disappointed with the Olive cake. It was a bit too hard and not to my liking. Place is a bit pricey, and I don't feel it met the price. Our waiter Addonay did a great job with attending and explaining the menu. He was 5 stars, if I can go 3-1/2 I would just because he was great.

Food portions are too small way too small. To be honest I did not like the food. Very different from the first time we went there. I my Opinion owner ship change. Service was good. Except for the bar. Too long to get drinks. Place still looks nice. But I don't eat nice. Will never return.
