Il Pittore

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We paid $85 per person to enjoy the Chef's tasting menu. Though the food was good, the noise level and indifferent service far overshadowed a good food experience. I do not recommend this restaurant. Their wine pours are also meager at best and it is a lot of money to pay and not enjoy the meal and experience. I am still apologizing to my husband for this restaurant pick.

My fiancé and I were referred to Il Pittore and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The host staff was very warm and inviting. Our server Jordan was amazing. We have been to many restaurants in our lives and Jordan had to be the best server we have ever had. With this being our first time there he reviewed the entire menu to us and recommended a great white wine. Our wine glasses were never empty. Caleb the General Manager stopped by to welcome us. To be honest everyone there was friendly and made sure they gave us the best experience. We will be back! I recommend the Bruschetta with Mushrooms & Favas, Potatoe Gnocchi, Tortellini and any of the fish. Hands down amazing. Thank you for a fabulous experience.

This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. I would say Michelin-star food. Innovative, delicious, wow factor with knobs on. Our waiter was also very knowledgeable and friendly. One of my tests for eating out is, 'could I make this at home?' With Il Pittore food, no way! Fantastic.

What a treat. We went with 3 Philadelphia friends who know their way around and were delighted. Waiter was a joy and knowledgeable. Food was terrific. Atmosphere was comfortable and upscale. We simply loved it.

This is the most amazing, delicious, friendly restaurant in Philadelphia; maybe even in the world. I would recommend a reservation, but they try very hard to accommodate walk-ins.The staff is unpretentious (ask for Kevin when you make a reservation!), extremely knowledgeable (they've tried all the food!), and make the whole experience all-around enjoyable. Chef Painter comes up with incredible concoctions and reliable, yet never boring, classics are available. Beautifully decorated, and the music is at a low volume to encourage conversation. Frank (the sommelier) knows the best wine pairing to go with your meal, so make sure you let him know what you ordered (plus, he never pushes towards the expensive wines). Head in for drinks and a few small plates, or stay for the full four-course meal; you will find yourself coming back again and again! I know I have!

This has to be the best Italian restaurant I ever been to and one of the best restaurants period. Everything in this place is just great from the food to the wait staff. I always recommend this place if you want a great meal with a service that match the food this is your place!

One of the best restaurants I have been to if not the best. The attention of detail is amazing and the service is top notch. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable.

Excellent food, but pricey. A meal for four with limited drinks came to 450$ (that's what we were expecting, but still).
