This place is amazing! A great father and son duo that will leave you wanting more. Their service is fantastic and their food is delicious. I had the chicken Gorgonzola with pink spicy sauce. This is not on the menu so make the special request. My buddy had the lemon caper chicken and also enjoyed it. Beware of the bread. It is addictive! We also had the calamari with spicy sauce. Amazing! I strongly encourage you to make a visit. Enjoy the roses hanging from the ceiling.

I had lunch at Il Saggio Italian Restaurant in Commerce, CA, and it was a great experience! The seafood spaghetti was absolutely delicious, and the fun serving robot added a unique touch to the meal. There's plenty of outdoor parking, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Plus, the prices are reasonable, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying lunch.

Needed some food after our day out and we found a place that seemed like a hole in the wall. Even before going in it seemed basic but walking in you could feel the care they put into the place. Didn't need to wait long before we were helped by the owner. Great guy. He took our orders and chatted with us and it was a good time. The food came out pretty quickly and was everything we wanted and more. The portion size was amazing. Almost too much lol and the taste and flavors were amazing. A must-try place.

What is an awesome experience, brought my wife here for Mother's Day... the food was good I myself had the lobster ravioli in my life had the calamari and fries. Every meal comes with free breadsticks and a soup and salad.... Elsie and Junior for super attentive and brought awesome service. Plus they got a really cool robot that brings the food to you. Definitely a Hidden Gem!

This place is false advertisement!! I ordered cheese and spinach raviolis through Uber eats and they sent me lobster raviolis. Not only am I pregnant but also allergic to seafood. They made me instantly break into hives and vomit. When I reached out to the restaurant of course no one took accountability. I spoke to ‘Elsy’ and she said to reach out to Uber eats. They totally brushed it off. This place had me waiting an hour for my food and delivered the wrong item. I think they should take more accountability of their actions. Please avoid this restaurant if possible.

We aren't from the area, but decided to check out this restaurant based on other reviews. We are glad we did!! The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was great. We would definitely come back. My husband enjoyed the shrimp fettuccine alfredo, and I had a pizza. Yum!

I enjoyed the food here. I would return to explore the other items on the menu. Free Garlic Bread 5/5: Very garlicky, light, and tasty. Spaghetti Frutti di Mare 5/5: Very unique and delicious. This is a creamy pasta that has very lemony flavors. The shrimp is very nicely cooked and deveined, not overcooked. Spaghetti Alla Bolognese 5/5: Very delicious. I like how pleasant this dish is.

One star for the garlic bread and one star for cleanliness. The food was terrible. I ordered the clam linguine which came to me in a noodle soup version. I don't think the clams or pasta was strained before so half of my pasta was covered in broth. There was no flavor, no salt, no garlic, no lemon. The reason why I am writing this review is because I felt mislead by all the wonderful reviews. I am also irritated because I don't think the person that cooked this dish would eat what he or she cooked me. There was no thought or pride to the cooking. Just half ass cooking. Terrible.

Il Saggio Italian is the sort of restaurant that deserves far more recognition. I visited on a Saturday evening, and to my surprise, the place was almost empty! I genuinely hope that changes soon because this place offers exceptional quality of food. My friends and I started with the Margarita pizza. Although it may seem like a basic dish, the freshness of the ingredients and the crispy crust were a delight. For the main course, the spaghetti frutti di mare was amazing. It had tender pieces of fish, shrimp, Manila clams, mussels, and calamari simmered in a savory red sauce.

I ordered cheese and spinach Raviolis from this restaurant and they sent me lobster raviolis. I'm currently pregnant and I'm allergic to seafood. I took one bite and noticed the horrible flavor in the ravioli. Right after I broke in hives. I called the restaurant to explain the situation and they hung up. The second time I called and spoke to 'Elsy' which she said she couldn't do nothing to reach out to UberEats. This place is not cheap specially ordering through a platform. Not to mention it took an hour to receive my food! They should take more accountability of their actions . They are definitely false advertising. Not only did I broke in hives but I threw up from the horrible taste. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Please be careful when ordering from this place!!

Nice, clean, restaurant with a parking lot. Friendly, helpful, service from the waitress, and accurate, fast service from robot server. On to the food... we've been here twice and have been very pleased with our food. We've tried the lasagna, the spaghetti bolognese, the chicken parm, and the linguini with clams. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. And if you go on Thursdays & Fridays, they have a fun DJ with karaoke.

This is a homely restaurant tugged away in a quiet corner (at least on it was not busy when we showed up at 11am sharp on a Saturday morning). The parking lot has ample slots. The staff was friendly and greeted us with smiles, which is always great. The waitress quickly brought out the complementary garlic bread with olive oil and black vinegar. The interior resembled much of the older style Spanish/Italian decor, was quite a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the seafood spaghetti, veal shank, and bbq chicken pizza. The pasta came out piping hot with a generous amount of seafood including shrimps, salmon, clams, mussels, and squid. The sauce was very very mildly spiced which I love. The waitress added grated Parmesan to it and it was perfect. The veal shank was super, fall-off-the-bone tender. It was accompanied by broccoli, carrots, and mashed potato. The sauce was sort of like a mix of mushroom sauce and tomato sauce (kind of like ragu but better). Portion was plenty. The thin crusted bbq chicken pizza was delightfully cheesy, especially with the added grated Parmesan. Flavor was good as well. We finished off the meal with a crème brûlée and a flan. The crème brûlée was smooth and the charred sugar topping was always fun to tap on. Yet the flan won my heart more. I'd flan plenty of time but usually they were either too soft (watery) or too hard. The flan here has the most perfect texture. It was sturdy but not too hard, and the silky smoothness on the tongue was lovely for the palate. Although the syrup was a tad too sweet but the texture of the flan itself was just wonderful. Finally, pricing was fair and portion size was not bad at all. Highly recommend!

They seriously have the BEST lasagna. Like seriously, the best. We order take out for work all the time and if there's a potluck, we try to pitch in as a group to order a tray of it. It's delicious. I can't speak to other dishes b/c we have only had the lasagna and a couple of pasta dishes, but they were delicious. Never actually eaten inside the restaurant though.

I got their Wedge Cobb salad, amazing. Just absolutely delicious. I also got their chicken Marsala which was also really really good too. The portion sizes are huge! Will be back to try other things

This place is interesting! When we first walked in, we thought we were in the wrong place because the inside looks like a Mexican restaurant that turns into a dance club at night. It is NOT that, but the ambiance does not exude Italian vibes aside from some photos of Italy. The server who helped us appeared to be the only waitress, and she did a phenomenal job. They also have one of those robot waiters, theirs is a kitty named Bella! I loved it! We ordered a caprese salad, fettucine alfredo, and a BBQ chicken pizza. The caprese salad was the best part! It was served with salad greens and no basil, but it was delicious. The pasta was also good. The bbq chicken was good, but the crust was too thin for the toppings. There was a lot of cheese on that pizza. This wasn't a bad find for the city of Commerce!

Last minute find thanks to Yelp. We were leaving a graduation and we were all hungry we needed a spot that wasn't small and quaint, we needed space, it was 10 of us. We all like Italian so we went for it. Pulled up and it's a big place that I have no idea how I missed before or heard of. Our server was great, patient, thorough with our order and everything came out as we ordered it. I ordered lobster ravioli - not on the menu it was a special:) pink sauce was delicious! The pasta capellini was tasty, I heard the lasagna was bomb and the complimentary warm garlic bread they served at the beginning was also fire! Will be back. I'm bummed I didn't take pics. Next time, promise!

First time visitor, long time foodie. PARKING If you've been following me here on Yelp, you know why I like places with ample parking lots right in front of or next to the restaurant. My little high heels can only handle a little bit of walking without me tripping on my face FOOD I loved. loved (did I say loved?) loved my Ahi Tuna salad. WOW. I'd drive back to this place again just to have this delicious salad again. And I'm NOT a salad loving kinda girl! The dressing which has chopped onions and lots of garlic was to die for! This cute life size ROBOT delivers your food, which always brings a smile to customers who haven't been there. We got there at around 11:20am on a Monday the place had one couple sitting in the back. Less than 40 minutes later, the entire restaurant was packed with office workers. Love it! SERVICE Excellent! The servers where friendly and efficient. PRICE Reasonable. My seared ahi tuna salad cost me $18 which is pretty much a good deal considering I had fish in my dish.

Came here for work lunch with a fairly large group and they had us accommodated at a long table. All the pasta foods we ordered were delicious and it was served by a cool robot assistant that had these cute cat eyes. Very much out of place at a place like this but certainly a sight to be had. - ordered FETTUCCINI AI FUNGHI PORCINI CON CAPESANTEE GAMBERI - and it was delightful - ps. They use this menu from Google drive PDF that you can pull up via the QR code but it may be missing some key pastas like the GNOCCHI - however you can absolutely ask them for it and they'll make it for ya! It was delicious. Desserts were also pretty good. - Parking lot has plenty of space - Restrooms were clean

Move over Olive Garden, you've got some serious competition! Il Saggio makes Olive Garden look like McDonalds, and with great service, tasty food, and a descent price, you can't go wrong here! We were in the area (close to the Citadel Outlets), when the craving for Italian food began to hit our bellies! A quick Yelp search brought me to this fabulous establishment, that seemed like a little hole in the wall. The entrance is cute, and there is plenty of parking when you pull in. Inside, the decor looks like something would make your Italian Cousin Vinny, very proud. There was ample room, plenty of tables, and it looked clean. One server was working the entire restaurant, she was very nice and provided great service. Free bread was provided with olive oil, and we had the option of having parmesan cheese sprinkled (or dumped) all over our bread. Fantastico! We were in the mood for seafood with our pasta, so we ordered the shrimp scampi and spaghetti frutti di marre. Wow! Absolutely delicious. Both plates had a good amount of sea food with them, and had great flavor. The shrimp scampi had a bit of tang to it, but it was good. Both those plates would blow anything from Olive Garden out of the water. Plates were filling, so there was no room for dessert. I will say, one of the most impressive things about this restaurant wasn't just the food, but their usage of robots. Our waitress, delivered our food to us with a robot that accompanied here. It was awesome and felt like I was in a Star Wars movie. So make sure to check this place out if you want an affordable Italian experience that is out of this galaxy!

The food, service and ambiance were very homey. Not setup like an old school family run Italian restaurant with red & white checkered tablecloths more akin to a sports bar. Nevertheless the food and caring service was gentile and warm which accompanied the delicious ample portions of their food. I can hardly wait to go back.

Happened to chance upon this wonderful restaurant after a long day at the outlet mall and I'm so happy we did! Homey vibes, probably family-owned? It was quiet and comfortable, we seated ourselves and they served the bread and water quickly. I was stuck between the capellini and the spaghetti bolognese and when I asked our server for her preference, she offered to order half sizes of both for me so I could have both! I've never had someone suggest that before and I was so happy! The capellini alla checca was a standout - their sauce was fresh and garlicky and soooo good. The bolognese was good too. My boyfriend ordered the fettuccine in mushroom cream sauce and it was delicious, they're so generous with their chicken and scallops. I wish we lived closer to commerce, I would come here all the time if we did.

This place was so homey, unassuming and wonderful. Came here for a late night weekend dinner after a show at the casino and SO IMPRESSED. First of all, I called them ahead of time about 40 mins before they closed to ask if it's okay to come in. They told me even if I came in 1 minute before they closed and sat down, they would serve and not rush me...and that sort of hospitality over the phone just set the tone for a wonderful meal. I had the minestrone soup, and shared a chicken parm, which was served over mashed potatoes...and I also had a wedge salad. Overall, the food was all-so-homemade-good, and the service made ya feel like you were dining at a loved one's house. A+, would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

I can't tell you what a treat this restaurant was. Driving home from a day in Anaheim (you know where) I searched and found this recommendation. What a pleasant surprise. From the quiet parking lot, the simple entry and dining room and the no nonsense menu, this is a gem in the rough. Water and bread arrived without asking. The chef came and greeted us answer a question about the menu and preparation. We shared a Caprese Salad(happy hour size, simple, fresh and arrived via a robot!) and then ordered pasta off the menu. Ravioli Aurora (light, delicate spinach and ricotta ravioli "cuscini d'amore" with a simple tomato sauce ) was simply divine. The Fettuccini Al Funghi Porcini Capesantee Gamberi was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. The simple light sauce with sautéed mushrooms, scallops and shrimp was a revelation. We will be back as there is a full menu of creative new and traditional dishes offered. I look forward to seeing what else the chef has to offer. The personal service, the elegant food and music made this a meal to remember. I will return with friends and family, a bigger appetite and more time. Thank you, chef.

This is a local Italian place. They have great food and this little robot brings the food out. They also have a nice happy hour with $3 Pacifico on draft.

My co worker recommended this restaurant to celebrate our co workers bday. I have called in advance regarding reservations for a party of 15 and inquiry if there was a minimum gratuity which they quoted me 18% for having a large party since I need to let my co workers know so they know how we are splitting the bill. When we arrive, the place was really nice and decorated with Christmas. They had a beautiful lighted tree and cute hanging roses in ceiling. Our table was ready for us to be seated. It wasn't busy inside until it got to 12pm. The menu can be viewed through a QR Code that was on the table, but most of us ended up grabbing there to go menu pamphlet to look at instead. I decided to try the lasagna bolognes and house salad. The provided a complimentary garlic bread at the beginning and that was very flavorful. The lasagna wasn't that great with it tasting bland as well and Olive Garden is still the best so far. Also, they forgot my house salad so I had to tell them to remove it from the bill. A lot of our drinks were empty and I noticed the servers weren't as attentive because they haven't refilled or ask to refill our drinks for awhile. After receiving the bill and paid, I end up noticing the tips were 20% instead of 18%, which I forgot to ask them why when they quoted me 18%, because I end up also noticing the charge has a difference of $4.43. The original bill showed $281.34 as the total and when I got the paid receipt it was $285.77. I end up asking about the difference and from what i understood on the explanation is that it end up charging tips from the taxes which for some reason their machine does that. I didn't like that because I felt I got robbed from paying tips on taxes when I shouldn't need to and there was nothing they can do about correcting that cause of the machine. Even though the staff are friendly, the place was nicely decorated, and had a cute cat robot bringing us refill on bread, personally I wouldn't come here again due to overall bad experience, didn't honor the quote on gratuity, and the extra charge on the bill. The parking lot is small so you want to find parking which would be easiest for you to get out because there is a row at the front where you can get trap due to a canopy being there.

Our food had great flavor however the lasagna was a bit cold in the center. We also order chicken parmigiana it came with veggies and mashed potatoes and it was perfect. The garlic bread was tasty and fresh. The customer service was also great our waitress friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. We were a bit skeptical when we first walked in since it was only 1 other family dining. It was a Sunday in an industrial area but I can imagine they are busy Monday through Fridays. And they have DJ nights on Friday and Saturdays!

Great find in the City of Commerce... Great service and quality food...Started with their complimentary bread which is served warm/toasted with a fresh garlic and olive oil drizzle which went well with our eggplant appetizer. I had the alfredo pasta and couldn't decide between shrimp or salmon so our waiter said I'll have them make it half and half and I had the best of both worlds...what a Dude! My wife had the mushroom and scallop fettuccini pasta which had great flavor and a really nice portion of baby scallops. After a long day of shopping Il Saggio hit the spot...right on the spot. You'd never think a place like this existed in this industrial part of town but it does And you should stop in if you like great service and quality food. We will be back....Cheers!

It was really good! Defiantly the perfect meal while on a 24 hour shift. I had the lasagna and a strawberry lemonade. Both were amazing. And the service was amazing.

The food was not great. Definitely not authentic. The place is very dusty and outdated. It has a lot of potential but needs to be cleaned. The waitress kept referring to me as "hey lady" from across the room, which was really rude.

Food is delicious I arrived at 815 on Friday night, there is a DJ which is cool but I was hoping for a quiet dinner but I adjusted as I never have been there before.... It was loud we were sitting in the back and had to repeat ourselves in conversation. Service was not prompt unfortunately they are overwhelmed although food was delivered via robot.... My server was missing often. She was very nice though.... I will return with a different expectation but they could be better organized. No host to seat and greet.... Server came 20 minutes after arrival, took my drink 25 minutes....

The lasagna was excellent. My daughter who is a picky eater ate all of it. The Chicken Piccata was good. They do not have a good wine selection. So, I'd skip the wine. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere not so great but the good service made up for it.

DELICIOUS food! This restaurant is amazing. I got the osso bucco (because of the office lol) and it was spectacular! Extremely tender, super flavorful, and a perfect portion. My friends got the pastas and loved their dishes too. They cater and deliver for all those companies in the area. They also have salads and pizzas! Service was fast and friendly. They even have a server robot, super cute and fun. This place also seems to host special events, such as banquets and large parties. Try this place for lunch or dinner if you're in the area. Our Basketball organization had a team practice at a league that was near by. We were ready to chow down for an early dinner. None of us were from the area but found this restaurant that was able to accommodate 26 people. The service was friendly and took care of our needs. Every dish and pizza was delicious that we all left empty plates behind. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

HORRIBLE! I was there Saturday with a group of 10. Mind you it was dead there was only two parties of two eating there. We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and when we got there we waited about 20 mins to put in a drink order. Waited another 15 mins for bread another 15 mins to place a food order. The server with the volume lashes was very rude and unprofessional. Saturday night and they only had 2 servers. Little Caesar's has better pizza. We tipped the DJ and he didn't want to play any requests after agreeing to. Server was going to tip herself 20% on a $300 bill due to the party size and was giving us attitude when we told her the service was not worth 20% tip. Ruined our birthday celebration and will not be coming back.

Was headed out of LA to San Diego while on vacation and the kids were getting hungry. They can be picky so we searched for pizza and ended up here. They had plenty of other options - I had the soup special (clam chowder) - and a good selection of beers that came in a properly frosted mug. Service was warm and friendly and accompanied by a robot that the kids were entertained by. Prices were reasonable and overall a very good experience.

I cannot rave enough about this restaurant! Risotto in a scampi sauce with shrimp. The Best I've Ever Tasted! The service here is also amazing! Very welcoming and accommodating to anything we need. Love the overall decor as well. Gives it a comfortable clean feeling.
