Il Tridente Positano

We went here in October 2025 and had an incredible experience. We made a same day wait list request and were able to get a table that night luckily! The service was top tier throughout the entire evening. It was super romantic with the view over the coast and the live dinner music. The food was also melt-in-your-mouth good.

It was a beautiful experience from the stunning views, excellent food and service, it was definitely an experience worth the little extra price. The whole staff was so accommodating, we didn’t have reservations and they still fit us in with a table on the terrace with a beautiful view. Definitely worth trying!!

Some of the best service we received in all of Italy!!! They’re so attentive, the restaurant is very nice, fancy, and clean. Delicious food and bread, we got the chicken and lemon fettuccine pasta. It was so so so good! One of our better meals from Florence to Venice! Definitely recommend to go. We didn’t have reservation and they still allowed us to sit after 20 minute wait. Was definitely worth it!!!!

Best place on our stop to Postitano. Great views, food and service! Get ready for an uphill hike, we were gassed! But it was well worth it!

We read an article about 3 yrs ago about this in Hemispheres United magazine and tore it out and said some day We are going there! Well- we did last week and it was everything we hoped for. Food was incredible, staff so friendly and views that will take your breath away. I love that the tourist can’t see you or bother you taking photos while you eat as they are not allowed up unless you have a reservation. Thank you so much! Also the dinnerware the food is served on is all hand painted and love the mis-matched table!!

As others have said, the service was quite good and the views are incredible. Unfortunately, that's about the only good thing I have to say about this experience. Despite the fact that we booked a reservation weeks in advance for dinner, we were seated in their cocktail area and were only given overpriced drink and food options. Cocktails were not impressive, especially for £30 each. Shockingly the food was even worse - we ordered the calamari (£35) that was delivered at room temperature, and the Caprese salad (£25) that was no better than any £10 salad we've had in the region. Overall this was an extremely disappointing experience and I would suggest you look elsewhere.

This restaurant is well worth the effort it takes to get a reservation if you aren’t staying at the hotel - every bite of food we had was amazing - especially the gnocchi with scallops and the sea bass, the view was perfect, and the service was friendly but not at all intrusive. Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion!

We had a wonderful dinner at Il Tridente. We fist had drinks at its cocktail bar and then moved on to dinner at the restaurant. We had the lemon pasta and the turbot which were both absolutely delicious. The view is amazing you have the iconic Positano view right in front of you and the staff and the service are the loveliest
