illy Caffè Ponce

I really love Illy coffee, which is why I was excited to try this location on the Beltline. Unfortunately, this café didn’t live up to my expectations. The space is a bit dark and the location feels hidden, definitely nothing like the Atlantic Station location. I ordered a chocolate croissant, and it tasted stale. I thought it was a one-time thing, so I went back a few weeks later, but the same thing happened again. This time I mentioned it to a staff, who apologized and gave me a fresher croissant. I truly appreciated it, but honestly, I shouldn’t have had to say anything in the first place. The croissants are a bit pricey, and I don’t expect one that’s a couple of days old for the price... It’s really disappointing because Illy is such a strong coffee brand, but this location is not representing it well at all. Being on the Beltline is a huge opportunity, but this café is easily overlooked. The views are non-existent, facing a parking lot and two tiny spots on the patio facing the Beltline... Also, please stop reheating food and even bakery items, your customers notice!! The Atlantic Station location is so great, and it’s frustrating to see a great brand like Illy miss the mark here, especially since not everyone is familiar with the brand in the US yet..

Would give zero stars if possible. Visited around 3:40pm on 10/18. I understand it was close to closing time but plenty of time to make a proper drink and provide food service. I was asked if I wanted my chocolate chip croissant warmed up just to have it served to me freezing cold. The sole employee let me know that he had already turned the oven off…..so that was it. I’m not understanding why he asked in the first place. He made my friends matcha so poorly that she just threw it away after a few sips. He wanted to make it very clear that he was closing soon. It just doesn’t excuse bad service. If you stop giving good service at 3:40pm then you should close at 3:40pm.

I’m not sure if people are reviewing a different location or what. This place was a huge disappointment. We paid $30 for warmed up food and watered down drip and a Carmel cold brew that tasted like chocolate milk on ice. Our first mistake was thinking this place was local. Yea, not at all. In my opinion it was sub-par on coffee and below average on food. We actually didn’t finish what we ordered and went to a local coffee shop. Hope this helps others looking for a good coffee shop stay away.

Stopped by twice on a Saturday for the illy crema. First time we were told that the machine just started and it would take an hour. So we returned 2 hours later…the other associate told us this time that it takes several hours. Start your preparation earlier so you are ready and can serve customers. You need to do better if you want to survive at this hidden location.

Can never actually get anything here because they close early. 6:45 and they are closed even though the closing time is at 8. We asked if they can make the drink they are advertising at the front door and they said the machine is empty so no we can’t.

Ariana provided me some of the best service I’ve ever received. Steamed my half and half to maintain temperature and provided the perfect alternatives for options my friend was allergic to.

Nice establishment but it definitely seems like preheated tv dinners and even the coffee options seem to be preheated as well.

If you want a cup of coffee buy a can at Publix for $9.99 and brew at home. They sell their ground coffee for $15.99 Pro- Cute location on the Beltline Con- Ordered a bagel and was served a biscuit Unfortunately short staff so table cleanliness was lacking Pastries were not fresh Very unappealing menu Will not return

Stay away, bad service bad energy bad vibes. The times online are not right second time coming & being disappointed, & no one cares so why would they care about quality of food or ingredients. Not to be trusted. They guy literally said "ive told him my manager dont do shit" lol so there ya go.

Amazing breakfast with Croissant, Egg white omelette and chicken sausage Great potatoes with flavorful sauce and coffee I would post a picture but it was gone pretty quickly

Got my order wrong on DoorDash, such a shame because the food is actually decent. Management should think about hiring new workers

Omg!! I actually LOVE illy! All the food is so good and always hot and fresh! The coffee can be made to perfection. Usually every one is very nice but STAY AWAY FROM AMANDA!! I go to illy EVERY day and she is the absolute WORST! Always gives me a hard time. Terribly tasting coffee made by her and will give you a hard time trying to "fix" it. Actually ruining my experience. As i love this place its so nice and made me feel so excited before. Now i try to avoid the place when 'Amanda Lee' is there because of her attitude and demeanor and lack of customer service. I am so sad after giving her several chances i will NOT be going inside anymore if i see her. May sound dramatic but it is that bad. I am a HUGE fan of Illy! Nothing bad to say about food or drinks or ambiance but one bad apple van spoil a bunch.
