I’m a Crab is absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, it was an amazing experience. The Spicy Singaporean Crab was bursting with flavor, and the lobster, mussels, shrimp, fried rice, and fried buns were all cooked to perfection. Every protein was fresh and generously portioned—truly authentic seafood without compromise. The staff here are just as wonderful as the food. They are super friendly and attentive, even apologetic when service took a bit longer due to the waitlist (which, by the way, is worth joining!). The restaurant itself is small and cozy, but the flavors and hospitality make up for every inch. If you want authentic, heartwarming seafood with amazing service, I’m a Crab is an absolute must-visit!

We were there for lunch to celebrate a birthday. They can accommodate small and large parties (our group was 11 people). We ordered shrimp, clams, beef dishes, and 3 large crabs (different flavours and spice level), stirfry Chinese broccoli and fried rice for the table. The dishes were so full of flavourful and well portioned. I really enjoyed the clams. The sauce was perfect on rice! Service was fast and attentive. Lastly, you get a soft serve ice cream on the house to cool your taste buds. Definitely worth giving I'm a little hot crab a try!

Google
I'm a Little Hot Crab is fantastic! The food is amazing. I had a chance to have shiso spicy lobster, shrimp egg mix vegetables fried rice and Crispy cereal tiger prawn. Everything is so flavourful and delicious. I believe the options for crab and lobster are 2.8lbs or 3 Ibs. The service is amazing, with patient staff. The restaurant has limited seating. However, they do have a waitlist you can join online. I will definately be returning.

Google
Amazing experience. The crab is fresh and prepared to order and the Singaporean sauce is delicious. The spicy clams and seafood salad are tasty as well. We even got free ice cream dessert after the meal. The prices are fairly high due to the price of seafood so be sure to check the prices online before going. The service is excellent and seating is limited so make reservations during busy hours. Will return for sure!

Google
Food was average. The price deserves a larger portion and better taste. Would prefer a McGriddle if putting price into consideration. We ordered: Classic curry crab, Black pepper beef and golden garlic, Salted egg yolk tiger shrimps, Thai-style salmon sashimi.

Google
🦀 We tried the Singapore Chili Crab and the Salted Egg Yolk Crab, and both were amazing – full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The crab fried rice was also delicious and paired perfectly with the mains. The crabs are caught fresh on the spot, and for around $90 per dish (for crabs under 3 lbs), it’s totally worth it. We had to wait about 20 minutes in line, but the fresh taste and generous portions made it more than worth the wait. Perfect for sharing with family or friends, and if you’re craving authentic seafood, this is the place to go in Scarborough!

Google
Instead of turkey for Thanksgiving, we had tasty Dungeness Crab with Singapore chili sauce, spicy clams, delicious Cereal Prawns, sautéed Chinese broccoli and deep fried steam buns 饅頭. Restaurant is not large, no reservations weekends & holidays, but staff accommodating, we did not wait long. Great service, thank you! ⭐️ 😊 ⭐️

Google
Got here before it opened and still there was a line up. Server did explain because they were very busy, it would take awhile. Food was so tasty and they provided bibs, gloves and implements to assist with opening the crab. Ordered Thai seafood salad (spicy, so fresh and zesty... Calamansi) black pepper beef (tender with garlic) fried steam bun, clams, two types of crab (Singaporean chili and black pepper) and fried rice. Took awhile for the food to come out; server refilled our water jugs often. Food came out hot. Definitely messy to eat crab; don't wear white. Ice cream (vanilla) is free. Restaurant is a little tight. Cash/debit only. Slightly pricey but well worth it. Washroom is single person only. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
For $100 you get a 2 ish pound Dungeness crab with curry (a Dungeness crab is like 10$ a pound at t$t) and the meat is almost non existent. The legs are skinny, there isn't much roe, so you're just kinda slurping curry and mantou buns. And well the curry? Oh it's just your normal Japanese curry with some chilli....

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. My group had different favourites, mine was the Singaporean Chili sauce. The online wait-list doesn't work well with large groups. It'll say 0 tables ahead, can walk in, even though there's a wait-list for smaller tables for 2 or 3. We ended up waiting about an hour. The wait-list machine at the front door also doesn't work. The restaurant is very tiny, almost no room for those waiting in line. Servers were very nice. They did the best that they could given the circumstances. We were waiting on a table of 6 who had zero situational awareness and just hung out after eating and paying the bill, so I wished the server would have said something to them but otherwise it was a great experience.

Yelp
I have been dying to go to I'm a little hot crab because it just looks so good. I ordered the black pepper, least spicy crab and cereal tiger shrimp. My meal also came with complementary buns. Black pepper crab: One of their crabs is around $100 (it's more if you want a crab bigger than 3 pounds). I chose their black pepper crab to play it safe and it did not disappoint. The sauce was peppery, savoury, and lightly spicy, which I really enjoyed. The crab was soft and not overcooked and came with the head too if you'd like eating that. I liked how the crab had a few rice cakes, and king oyster mushrooms (though I left the mushrooms behind because I don't like king oyster mushrooms). Cereal tiger shrimp: I really enjoyed the cereal tiger shrimp. The cereal was sweet + crunchy and the shrimp was tender. I was literally eating spoonfuls of their cereal. it almost reminded me of crushed egg roll. Complementary buns: I'm pretty sure this was a mantou. I'm not sure if it was fried, but it was great on its own or dipped in the crab sauce. Ice cream: The free ice cream at the end was so good. It tasted like McDonald's ice cream, but elevated with the popping rock candy. This was the best free ice cream I've received at a restaurant. Overall, this meal was great. It was enough to fill up two people. This place is a 10 out of 10 in my books and I'd love to come again sometime. The only downside is that I had to wait about an hour and 15 minutes for my table and another thirty minutes for my food (This was on a Sunday).

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by friends so we decided to show up for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were warned there might be a wait (they don't take reservations Friday to Sunday). When you enter you add your name to the wait list on the tablet by the front door. This is not a big place so alot of people wait outside. The alternative is that you can add yourself to the wait list remotely via Google and show up closer to the time your table will be ready. It appeared that this was a popular way to join the list. Focus is on seafood and flavours are spicy! By the time we sat down the 1 vegetable dish (gai lan) they had on the menu was sold out. Shellfish focus is both crab and lobster. Menu is very a la carte so rice is sold separately by the bowl as well as other sides. What was ordered: Garlic beef cubes Black bean clams Original flavour lobster Bowl of rice Deep fried mantou (buns) Because eating shellfish can be messy each table has a box of plastic gloves and a metal container for your shells. We had our container changed at least once. They even give out aprons to help keep your clothing clean. Flavours were really great. We got the mini fried buns which were great in sopping up the sauce. Each table gets complimentary vanilla soft serve but there is a small dessert menu with a couple of items. With the ability to join the waitlist remotely as well as on the restaurant it is very hard to know where you are in the queue. The wait on this Sunday evening was 1.5 hours but you wouldn't know this as there wasn't a crowd waiting in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday evening around 7PM, quite a long wait. I recommend getting on the waitlist prior to leaving home from online! Then you can wait near the restaurant until your place is closer in line :) Group of 3, we ordered: - Curry crab 2lb: meaty, and saucy. Served with fried toast buns to dip into the sauce. I enjoyed the crab legs, and claws. Everything was super yummy. Flavour profile, was a savory curry flavour, coating the crab just right. This was enough to share between 3, with other sides ordered. - Egg yolk shrimp - flavourful and yummy. It was very large shrimp pieces, but only con was it was fried with shell on (I'm personally not a fan of shrimp and eating it with shell on)-- so just a preference. But it was good. - Clams - I think this was one of the top items of the night, a sweet and spicy chili sauce. Clams were meaty, plentiful and a great compliment to the meal. - fried rice - typical vegetable fried rice to compliment all the dishes. If I were to go back, I'd probably be okay with steamed rice. Service: was attentive, and fast. Ensured to keep an open line of communication to let us know approximately how long the crab would take to be prepared. Overall 4/5 experience. Food was yummy and flavourful. Seafood lovers! Come!! I recommend.

Yelp
This is a small restaurant so there are a limited amount of tables, which is probably why the wait time is so long. Luckily we can check in online prior to driving over so we can be in the waitlist and not have to wait there. We went at 4pm but there were already 5 parties before us! We checked in 30mins before, and by the time we drove over our table was ready. As we were leaving, there were more than 30 tables on the waitlist. So I definitely recommend going early. We got the curry crab which was really good - we got mild but it was quite spicy. We also got the creamy salted egg yolk crab, this one was just ok but we kind of got sick of it after a while. We also got the salted egg yolk prawns and this was way better than the salted egg yolk crab, so I would recommend the prawns over the crab in this flavour profile.

Yelp
If you're a seafood lover, especially a fan of crab, this spot should be on your list. They specialize in crab and offer it in various cooked styles, which makes it easy to mix things up or stick with a favorite. We ordered the cereal prawns, and they were a standout. The texture was perfectly crispy, and the flavor had a great balance of sweet and savory -- a solid 8/10. The chilli crab came in a generous portion with plenty of sauce, which is a must. The sauce was rich, slightly spicy, and paired perfectly with the fried buns -- that combo alone is worth the visit (9/10). Service was quick and efficient, even during peak hours, and the overall vibe was casual and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a laid-back seafood feast without any fuss. Overall, a satisfying and flavorful experience -- definitely worth coming back for more crab.

Yelp
Found another hidden gem or maybe not as hidden as evident by the hordes of people waiting to get in, then again I went on a Saturday night, my bad. Pro tip, put yourself on their Internet waitlist via phone at least 30mins before your plan arrival. Ordered New Orleans chicken wing/legs as appetizer, crispy and moist, pieces are small but tasty Shiso spicy clams were really not spicy but accompanied sauce paired well with the clams Fried egg with special vinegar was interesting. Basically scrambled eggs in a mild vinegary sauce. The Chinese broccoli (Gai lan) was cooked well but not worth $16 IMAO. We went with the Singaporean style crab instead of the Curry style crab. Also went with the medium spice level, wasn't spicy enough, next time, we'll throw caution to the wind and go with the high spice level. Whoever is cooking their crabs deserves a gold medal, no participation medal please, crab was cooked perfectly moist, the Singaporean sauce was amazing, I could have drank it by the cupfuls but I'm not a savage, I need to self reflect, maybe I am. Btw, they give you cute little paper aprons, eating crabs can get messy Not a large place so tables are crammed tighter than a Canadian geeses butt. Service staff were very helpful in explaining some of the menu items and crab selections. To top off all of these wonderful flavorful dishes, you get free vanilla soft serve ice cream cones for dessert at the end. If you like crab, if not (shame on you), many other seafood dishes on menu, worth the trip to Scarborough, plenty of parking

Yelp
As a seafood lover, is it just me or there isn't a lot of good quality seafood restaurants in the GTA? well... I'm a hot little crab is changing the game!! (Took my parents for father's day and they loved it, they are picky too) They're well known for their fresh seafood specifically the dungeness crab! We got the Singaporean 3LB flavour. A sweet tomato chilli flavour, good portion and pricing. only thing is you have to really dig in when eating it but they provide scissors and gloves! I also got the Black pepper Lobster (2 lobster each plate) The best flavour ever, not even joking. The lobster was juicy, sweet but a strong spicy pepper flavour. Both came with buns you can dip and it was super yummy! Personally liked the lobster more? but I would definitely get the Crab with black pepper sauce next time. my parents liked both the same. For starters, the best ones had to be the spicy clams and seafood salad. Both were truly addicting and refreshing! The shrimp fried rice was solid if you're a fan. But, I would skip out on the broccoli with garlic as it didn't have a lot of flavour. The restaurant is quite small with only a few tables, but I didn't have to wait on a Monday night ( you can make resos on weekdays I think but not the weekend) it was still busy though for a weekday. Service was friendly but servers didn't check up on the table frequently but wasn't a big deal as we were too busy eating and it was messy‍ also 5 percent discount on CASH. They only accept debit and canadian cash.

Yelp
Was worth the hype! But they don't take advance reservations, we tried once around 5pm on a long weekend and didn't get a call back till 9:30pm... check website online for waitlist! We loved the crab and the bun that came with it to dip! It had great flavour and tons of sauce for rice or bun. (Don't worry, they give you an apron and gloves to eat with) Lobster was fresh and very creamy! I liked it but it's one of those flavours that will make you feel heavy fast so it's a dish best shared amongst a big group of people. Spicy clams have great flavour with herbs and chilis, I'd deduct 1 point for the amount of excess grease in the plate. However I'd still order it again because of how great the flavour combo was. Beef was tender with a nice kick of people. A solid dish for non-seafood eaters, although it's nothing unique, they executed well. Can't forgot free dessert, a creamy vanilla cone per a person! It was yum, and a nice perk. Side bar- staff were so nice, we celebrated a birthday and they offered us a free plum drink and put on a birthday song! That made it special :)

Yelp
Busy restaurant that is known for their seafood. We were waitlisted for about an hour when we arrived for 5:50pm so make a reso or come early! The food is great here with seafood items being the shining star. It's quite expensive for what you get, but the flavour is there and definitely a splurge meal. Best enjoyed with friends so you can order more food! Here's what we got: Thai style seafood salad 5/5 - Spicy, citrusy, great starter for what's to come in the meal. Comes packed with a variety of seafood, kind of like a ceviche. Beware though, it's spicy! Crispy fried prawns 5/5 - Salted egg yolk fried prawns. Packed with complex flavours, crispy exterior and juicy prawn interior. A great combo with the Thais style seafood salad. Clams 5/5 - Came in a delicious spicy sauce. Clams were fresh and plump. Chicken wings 5/5 - Fried to perfection with a juicy interior. Paired with a thai chili sauce. Pretty good surprisingly since we're at a seafood restaurant. Fried rice 4/5 - Nothing special, but a nice to have as a carb option. Curry crab 5/5 - The star of the show! The sauce was phenomenal and seasoned perfectly. Crab was fresh and great for sharing. The added bonus was ordering a side of friend buns to dip into the delicious curry. It's a messy meal but gloves are provided. Garlic veg 5/5 - Surprisingly delicious and a great vegetable add on to the meal. Overall, this was great but expensive. The curry crab is a must get and don't forget to slurp up every bit of that curry sauce!

Yelp
I'm not usually someone who goes out to try seafood but we tried this restaurant and had a great experience. We ordered the fried scallops, fried prawns and chilli crab. the fried scallops came with egg roe on top with a layer of mashed potato salad between the row and scallop - perfect balance of creaminess and crunchiness. The fried prawns were crispy on the outside and tender inside - great bites. The chilli crab was the star of the show - the sauce had the perfect balance of spice and flavour, and when paired with rice, was very hearty and satisfying. There were 3 of us and we couldn't finish the crab - had to bring it home for lunch the next day! Service was great - they were very attentive and brought over aprons to help keep the meal off your clothes (which we tried but successfully failed at doing). The atmosphere was lively and perfect for catching up with friends. Overall, it was a fun experience and a must-visit for those in the North Scarborough area!

Yelp
We ordered the crab hotpot combo, it has a 2.4lbs of Vancouver crab, with added chicken feet that are so tender. The tofu, shrimp, and corn in the pot are all full of flavor! Thai-style mango shrimp salad is refreshing and appetizing too. Staff are sooo nice to explain everything to us!

Yelp
First time I came to this crab place, we didn't know how long the wait was as there's no reservation system. So we put our name on the wait list to be called when there's a table. 2 hours later, we gave up and went to another restaurant. Another hour later we got notified there was finally a table available. Clearly we didn't end up going. But I heard so much about this place, and as a crab lover, I knew I would try again. So, I picked a week day lunch to go. And success! I got seated immediately. Mind you, the restaurant was actually fairly busy for a 2 pm lunch!! There were several menus to go through, and i decided on Singaporean chili crab. It was cooked fresh and when it was served, I lit up!! The crab was swimming in a plate of delicious sauce it was tasty with a nice kick. I was happy they gave me bread to dip into. The crab was 100% worth coming back for. It was meaty and juicy. So I took a few hours to slowly enjoy every morsel beneath the shells. Looking forward to going back to try other flavours at lunch!!

Yelp
The chilli crab was decent. It doesn't taste like the Singaporean version. But, I still enjoyed it. The salted egg yolk crab was definitely a skip. It tastes nothing like the Singaporean version. The sauce was interesting. It wasn't really worth the price and I'm not keen on going back. I do like how they offer free soft serve ice cream at the end with the crackling candy. The bibs they give out so you don't get food on your clothes are super cute with their logo on it.

Yelp
Saw this on social media and thought it's be fun to try. Decent food. Cute store but the price the meal was too much for what you get. 1) We got the Singapore chilli flavor - not the flavor that you would expect if you have had it in Singapore, BUT it had a nice heat and sweetness to the sauce. Not worth $100 8/10 2) The prices of the chicken wings and beef was pretty high and you get "side dish" sized plates. The New Orleans wings were plain SMALL wings with a Thai sweet sauce on the side. 5/10 3) The beef was nicely done, with loads of yummy garlic. 8/10 They do give a complimentary ice cream cone at the end, which is nice. We also got five small cookies because of the lunar new year. However, we will not be returning.

Yelp
Crab and yap. Service and cooking time is fast but I can't say the same about me getting the crab meat. It can get messy but thankfully they provide gloves and bibs. I know the crab is the main star of the restaurant, it's literally in the name, but do yourself a favor and order a side of buns if your dish doesn't come with it. Next time I'm getting an order of the buns for myself!

Yelp
I saw this place on Instagram first and wanted to try it ever since. I've came twice! And I love this place! The curry flavoured crab is so good, especially with some rice. We also got the shiso flavour lobster and were so good too. The service is friendly as well. It is on the expensive side but worth it!
google avatar

Dilys C.

Yelp
Flavour is good: curry, Singapore chili, clams all good. Long wait. I would recommend putting a seating time limit as there was a table that was there for over 3 hours on a busy night.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try after seeing some reviews online. They do seafood - mainly crab here in various asian styles like singapore chilli, curry, etc. We also ordered the fried rice, beef and garlic cubes, and the chilli clams. The beef was surprisingly probably my favourite. Very well cooked with a deliciously heavy garlic flavour. I enjoyed eating this one with rice. But it was quite decadent. Needed something bright to break up the flavour a bit after the first three bites. The rest of the dishes were okay. Everything was SWIMMING in oil though which really messed with my digestion. The clams were sitting in basically half an inch of oil and the crab was doused in a sauce that was mostly oil - we had gone with a curry. It was really too heavy for my taste. I was a fan of the clams but it's quite salty, so I couldn't enjoy a lot of it. I think personally, this isn't a place I'd go to for seafood. Though I do understand the hype and why people who maybe have stronger stomachs would enjoy it. Give it a try anyway and see for yourself!

Ashley S.

Yelp
The beef cubes and the clams were really good, the crab and lobster came with fried steamed buns. Singaporean sauce doesn't seem authentic, still has okay flavour. The salted egg yolk shrimp were large, texture could be a little bit better.

Stanley K.

Yelp
Small restaurant located on Silver Star Blvd, tucked away in Scarborough, Ontario. They have a limited menu and if your goal isn't to have crab or lobster. It's best to look for another restaurant. The waitress and waiters were very friendly and kind. They also provided a bib for you to wear that can prevent food splashes on your clothing. Its pretty cute and has the restaurants logo on it. We got the Singapore Chili Crab and was impressed with how it tasted and looked. We also got a couple of other dishes like the cereal prawns, fried rice and stir fry clams. They also gave a complimentary dessert of soft serve ice cream. Overall the experience was good and will return in the future.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Plenty of parking and easy to find. Smaller place but a reasonable amount of seating. I love crab but this was a new experience for me. The server was very patient, explained it all and made recommendations. Messy eating, but they have aprons and gloves. I was dining alone and the servings are best for 2-3 people. It made for an expensive meal for 1. I had the chili crab and it was absolutely amazing! There is icecream with the meal but I was way too full to try it.

Yelp
Good food good service good interior. Craving for Dungeness crabs then here is the place cooked in many different ways. Each dish comes with mouth watering savory sauces well balanced and not over powering. Silky smooth texture and buttery. It's very challenging in sucking the meat in every bite of each crab. The salted egg prawns is superb cooked to perfection succulent tender and bouncy. Do not leave any sauces leftovers, you can still use the same sauce over any type of meats over rice it can never go wrong. Will definitely go back and try other crab flavors. Make sure you book ahead it's always busy.
