The Ultimate Guide to Boba in New York City | Eater NY

"I’Milky is a global bubble tea chain that opened its Midtown West location in 2018. The shop prides itself on using high-quality ingredients such as cane sugar, farm-fresh milk, fresh fruit, pure honey, and premium tea leaves. Their popular drinks include the coconut taro milk with boba, mango milk, and strawberry milk. They also offer special combo meals that include a drink, rice ball, and side dish." - Anna Huang

Google
Great bubble tea spot with good ingredients. The company is trying to be consciousness about not using artificial flavors and use rather natural products

Google
Amazing bubble tea which was great value for money and also had amazing customisation options. We tried the Jasmine green tea with grass jelly and it tasted wonderful. You can decide the level of ice (can even have it warm or hot), the level of sugar and if you want to substitute regular milk with oat milk. Service was quick and friendly. It's a small place so take out works best!

Google
Hands down the best bubble tea spot! The owner really cares about the quality of all ingredients in these drinks he serves. I am super picky with bubble tea since I grew up drinking them, and this I'Milky brings out the most nostalgic and REAL flavor of bubble milk tea. I would travel just to come get some hot taro milk tea with boba from here on a freezing day.

I'm excited! I'm a big fan of boba milk tea. I'm very happy we got I'Milky here at JSQ. As a person who grew up in this area, I have to travel to other places where they get those Asia boba tea stores. (not too sweet)😭 We finally get one here . No need to do unnecessary travel anymore. Happy!!!! Because they are using real milk and ingredients, the sweetness is just what I want! Love it! ----------------------- Update: Today I ordered my usual (coconut taro milk tea). They changed the ingredients. Before they have real taro paste as bases and the texture of the drink was rich. And what I got today was watery, like miku+syrup. Kind of disappointed. It was their top drink and they don't want to make it good anymore.

Best milk tea I’ve maybe ever had, and I’m a frequenter of Tiger Sugar, Meet Fresh, Tsaocaa, etc. Was genuinely so surprised to see the bad reviews. Like even if this is somehow the opposite of your taste preferences, the staff were so kind and welcoming, noticing I was unfamiliar with the menu and clarifying. And that’s before we even get into how delicious the drink is! Got a hot fresh coconut Taro Milk with pudding and I can NOT. My mom tried some of it and we have very different sweetness preferences but the magic of IMilky is just inexplicable I guess because we both found it absolutely delicious. Truly have never even heard of another place that does coconut taro but they more than pulled it off. The pudding, too! So soft and silky and does not alternate between clogging up the straw and not even going into the straw literally every other pudding I’ve enjoyed. I cannot even explain the taste in English (for any other Viet speakers or there, divinely béo). Will be returning!

I went here for the first time today with two of my friends! 1. The vibe was nice and the inside was warm and smelled really good lol 2. The guy working there was nice!! I ordered the Matcha Milk Tea (warm) and my friend ordered the Mango Milk. Definitely will come back :D

Google
Love this place-so fast and the drinks are amazing. I love that they use natural taro and not powered like other boba places.

Google
I loved my drink. I got a Taro Milk with lactaid milk and brown sugar boba. Something makes it thick and I realllly like that feature.

Yelp
Pretty nice shop with a good amount of sit down space in manhattan. The strawberry mango pommelo was pretty delicious - enjoyed the toppings inside of it. It's a bit expensive (almost $11 for the drink) but what can you ask for with respect to boba prices nowadays. the lack of an option to get rid of ice was a bit annoying. Only sugar options between 0-100% and the employee not knowing what "normal" sugar was was also slightly annoying but the drink was good enough to make up for it. Will be back if I am in the area again!

Yelp
I love how there are more bubble tea places in the area now! Such a great new addition to the area! I have been here twice and they have not disappoint! The prices are higher than most bubble tea places I have been to but I'm glad there's an option for bubble tea! The menu is quite small and I hope they expand it soon! The store is quite small with no option to dine in. The service was great and I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in the area. I had the jasmine green milk tea and that was really good. I also tried the fresh mango milk and that was delicious as well! Really refreshing for a hot summer day.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from I'milky today. Only had them in NYC, didn't know they were in JC! Anyway, I ordered the mango milk tea, matcha milk tea, and strawberry milk tea. All with the tapioca bubbles and oat milk. They also offer lactaid for us lactose-intolerant people. :) Delivery arrived quick. They use their own logo plastic bags. I get all drinks with 0% sugar, oat milk, less ice, and size large. Yes they're a little pricey, but so is everything else. Worth it in my opinion. :) The strawberry milk tea is delicious. The bubbles are freshly made - as they arrive warm. I shook the drinks and tried them all. Fresh strawberries and fresh mango in the fruit milk teas. Flavorful and no need for sugar. The fruit itself is sweet enough for me. Bubbles made perfect. Chewy tapioca . The matcha is my favorite, unless rose milk tea is offered. The matcha is also delicious. I would order from i'milky again. The NYC location has keychains :) I haven't been to this location yet, just tried delivery first.

Yelp
it's not that good - bubble tea doesn't have strong tea taste and it tastes like something I can make myself. This store is quite small - allowing only take out and location can be sketchy in the evening times, so be careful.

Yelp
Excited to see more bubble tea stores opening up in the area! I would say that this store is quite small, only meant for takeout and a quick grab and go -- the menu is limited without as much variety as other i'Milky stores I've been to. Workers were overall nice (none of the workers were Asian which was interesting, as a Taiwan chain but that's fine), and service was quick. Expect inflated prices and a small menu. My partner and I ordered a taro milk drink which came out to $7~8 dollars. The taste wasn't so great that it would be worth that price, and Chinatown's location is maybe a little cheaper for more options and a nicer vibe in the store with places to sit and eat. For convenience and location, once in a while, I'd see people coming here to splurge on a drink.

Yelp
I paid $8 for water with boba lol... I wanted to give this place a try despite the current reviews but was thoroughly disappointed. Not worth the money.

Yelp
Small kiosk-like place. Ordered a large mango milk tea with bubbles and grass jelly (70% ice and regular sugar). After shaking it up, I tasted it and was surprised that it's a fresh mango taste and not just a powder mix in. Was not overly sweet but maybe dialing down the sugar is best since the mango is perfectly sweet on its own. Will return to try the rest of the menu as service is good and flavors taste like fresh fruit.

Yelp
We are happy to have them in our neighborhood...the premium black tea with bubbles/boba was great! It is strictly takeout for now but I hope that they can expand in the near future...

Yelp
Ordered a regular milk tea with tapioca. Like the other review said the price is inflated $7.20 for a Medium size- usually no more than $6 anywhere else. It just tased like tea without milk. The most delicious part of it was the tapioca. The person working there was nice and welcoming. It is located in a very small spot, they haven't put up a sign outside with their store name yet. When I went it still said soft opening- hopefully they will adjust the prices to reflect other bubble tea places.
