"Approaching the patio of Immersion Brewing in the rustic Box Factory near the Old Mill District, it’s evident from the welcoming ambiance that this is a family-owned brewpub. A windowed garage door extends the high-ceiling indoor dining room to join a lively outdoor patio. Voted Oregon’s 2020 Small Craft Brewery of the Year at the Oregon Beer Awards, Immersion offers fun IPAs like the Hazy E, a pineapple-forward Northeast IPA, as well as sours and stouts. The excellent beer goes well with Immersion’s family kitchen, which serves made-to-order basic pub food including pretzels, nachos, barbecue, tacos, fish ’n chips, and a spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich." - Barb Gonzalez, Jeffrey Stull

Tasty large burger, fries were ok a bit dried out but crispy . The beers were pretty good, the pilsner was clean and crisp. Nice variety of beers on tap, a few beers had run out . We were there at the end of the night on Sunday , so understandable. Can beers available to go, plus usual swag for sale. Fast and very friendly service, plenty of parking.

So stoked for Tonya and team! They’ve done a great job with this space and the many beers on draft already. Lots to come from them!

Google
We enjoyed sitting outside on a nice spring day. We were there at noon on a weekend and they were not too busy. We just had an appetizer, the spinach dip was good, but the tortilla chips were not the best. If you are not a beer drinker they do have cocktails and non alcoholic options on their menu.

Ordered a couple of food items and drinks. Received food and drinks. Food wasn't fully cooked. Finished drinks and waited for over 15 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted anything else. Unfortunately, they didn't. The server simply came to the table to have us pay our check. Very poor service and won't be returning. Truly sad because I was hoping for big things with UPP.

Google
Food was bland - carnitas/pork burrito (?) largely shredded pork and pineapple bits, and a lot of it, but the salsa / sauce wasn't really flavorful, which didn't help the bland burro filling. I really wanted to like it! Jalapeno poppers, pretty dull execution. Staff were watching tennis competition instead of the 3 tables (11:30-12:00pm on a Saturday), so I wandered up to the bar to ask for a refill - pretty low pressure to keep glasses filled, but hey, tennis! Last, the Cal Common style been I had was really low on carbonation. I'm a huge fan of Anchor Steam, and know that the UPP Liquids crew can nail any style in their sleep, so I can say I was disappointed, but hopeful, that much like this string of reviews, the beer can be attributed to the former version of this spot (Immersion). We're really looking forward to adjustments to the beer over time, since BBC of old still lingers on our minds. Tonya (and the gang) has won awards and recognition of her peers for her talent / skill in the brewhouse, and I'm looking forward to that version of any/all beers being on tap at UPP Liquids.

Google
Great atmosphere and great food. Didn't get 5 stars because I had a blue cheese burger that was quite lacking blue cheese. I specifically ordered the burger because of the blue cheese but only tasted it on 3 bites. Similar experience for another person in our party. I asked for a side of blue cheese and was told that the chef said it was too expensive and that they would need to charge an additional $2 for the extra blue cheese. Petty. I voiced my complaint and they finally gave me more blue cheese, but right as I was finishing my last bite. I expected better service recovery including comping my food, but they did nothing. Don't order the burger if you really like blue cheese, but otherwise, it was still a great burger. The fish and chips and gnocchi were also really good. Beer was fantastic.

Google
Place is clean and fun to hang out in. Service was on point and attentive. Those that had beer enjoyed them and the mixed drinks were good as well. It tends to get busy during the dinner hour. It’s in a building with a lot of other busy establishments, so parking can be hard to come by.

David Barwick

Google
Great beer, great indoor/outdoor dining area and they actually have decent salads if you want something beyond traditional pub fare. Service was really attentive and prompt. This establishment had the first flat sink I’ve ever seen, so there’s that.

Yelp
The beers were great!! The onism--barrel aged stout was so delicious! We also tried the pumpkin spice porter, raspberry seltzer, kolsch, wooh wooh and space octopus! Great atmosphere and awesome bartender!!

Yelp
We were only in Bend for one day, but happened upon this excellent local brewery by chance after hiking along the Deschutes River. They served great beers and a really affordable price. Wish they could distribute to Illinois! Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating with very pleasant staff.

Yelp
The Bend Ale Trail took me to Immersion Brewing one weekday afternoon when it was relatively quiet. It's located a little outside town in a more modern area of mostly commercial properties. They have an outdoor seating area in the sunshine, plus large indoor areas with a garage door to let fresh air in in the summer time, plus bar seating in the middle. The space has high ceilings with gleaming kettles; you can see the brewery area right behind the bar. I only stopped here for beer and ordered a flight of four sticking with styles I liked. I was impressed by the amount of collaborations with other local breweries, always a good sign when beer brings people together. They had many styles on the tap list that didn't appeal to me. Our bartender was friendly and welcoming, talking a bit about the brewery and what they offer. He even stamped by physical Ale Trail Passport for me, something I didn't bother doing at other breweries. Prices were reasonable. Overall, I had a positive experience here. I really enjoyed how they featured local artists with their wall space as well. I can't say I could pick out one thing that made this place standout however. If you're a beer fan and completing the Ale Trail, it's a worthwhile stop.

Yelp
The beer here is a solid addition to the Bend beer scene. We were trying to hit up five in one day, so we limited our selections here. I want to come back and try more in the future!

Karley E.

Yelp
Good variety of beer to choose from! The service was good but we were the only ones in there on a Thursday lunch hour. Enjoyed the chips and cheese dip, would love to go back for the fun atmosphere and events they have (trivia)

Katie R.

Yelp
My son and I sat outside on a Saturday evening. The temperature was just perfect and it wasn't too busy. We had the best time laughing, eating dinner and watching the passerby's. Ambiance was lovely. The service was great - food was delivered super quickly. We will definitely be back!

Mike M.

Yelp
Visited the brewery and bar as part of my "Bend Ale Trail" adventure. Enjoyed the beer and smash burger. Service was okay overall, but they only had 2 staff covering the bar and entire dining room - they needed some help.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Service was great and the food and beverage were totally worth it! Husband and I enjoyed it very much

Katherine P.

Yelp
Located close to our hotel so was convenient to walk to. Ordered food to go so grabbed some drinks while we waited. Food was just ok though. My fish and chips were crispy but a bit oily and could have used some salt. Nachos were ok, too much piled on top so made everything soggy.

Mac L.

Yelp
Super friendly service! Cajun tater tots awesome ! Great beer selection!lunch was good Nice options! We will be back!

Brian S.

Yelp
Great place. Good food and good service. It's a little out of the way from downtown bend but worth it. Also have good ambiance and cool tshirts. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Great, friendly service. Cool decor. My partner really enjoyed their beer selection. You must try their pretzels Omg soo soo good! Comes with two kinds of pretzels with a mustard and a mustard butter(?). The pretzels were crispy on the outside and fluffy, airy on the inside.

Bea W.

Yelp
Beer was good- the food was marginal- ordered bbq wings friend had Mac and cheese- would prob not return for food

Drew D.

Yelp
We have been a few times and have had good time. The food is better than your typical brewery spot and the beer selection is obviously great. We have always had good service and while they do have a small outdoor area it's basically the parking lot.

Lorin A.

Yelp
Gluten free buns are pretty good when they're in stock. . I don't drink but they have other options like kombucha etc. Decent super clean atmosphere. Tidy brass works to add to the active brewery vibe and aesthetic. The dining room has an Open feel with high ceilings and is bit echoic, but they have a sliding garage door for when it's warm outside. Haven't had much experience there but what I have had has been pleasant. Service is great. Only thing I would change is have more things to do when I'm there. (Hatchets? Darts? Etc?)

Marina f.

Yelp
Great beer and food selections; their raspberry/lychee hard seltzer was basically just seltzer water ( so that was NOT good). Great location with plenty of shade outdoors. Love the set-up at this place both inside and outside. Will be back when we're back in town.

Brian L.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick beer after hiking. Staff were great, attentive and ambiance had a great vibe. I wished I would have been hungry because the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

Mia W.

Yelp
Cozy, social environment with great beer. Service was excellent. Located in a really nice plaza with other bars, restaurants and shops. Would visit again!

Marc P.

Yelp
5 stars on the food, drink, and service: Extremely good "Queso" appetizer which was very hearty with lots of queso and lots of good tasting tortilla chips. Super tasty burgers cooked to a perfect medium-rare per request, some really good brews, and an excellent server. - The patio seating was a little uncomfortable (the benches attached to our table were somewhat warped in the middle) - the view from the patio seating is of a parking lot. Some might knock it down a star for those last two items, but everything else was so good that I am keeping it at five stars. :)

Yelp
The review is for the Barrel Room. A Private venue that is apart of immersion Brewing. We had a rehearsal dinner for 40 followed by a Welcome party for our out of town guests. The Barrel room was the perfect central location with lots to do before and after. We brought in our own tableware and decor , but they will provide . The food was surprisingly yummy for a buffet. The apps were pretty and plentiful . The desserts were bigger than expected and delicious. Makynna and Abigail had a keen attention to detail . The bar tender( I forgot his name ) was great , up beat , knowledgeable and accommodating . Tables were taken down quickly to accommodate for new people coming to the welcome party . The outdoor space with couches and high tops made for an inviting cocktail party . They offered to keep the decor through Sunday so we could continue with our guests and not worry about moving boxes to the car. The marquis was a fun place to showcase a poster size pic of the couple . They added a congratulations message to their chalkboard. I would highly recommend working with Makynna

Yelp
$18 buffalo chicken salad was a whole lotta iceberg, couple of veggies, and ONE chicken strip with buffalo sauce in it. Gross nachos, just very underwhelming on all the food. Got charged18% gratuity for a party of 7, menu says party of 8. That's just bad form. Service was good and would have received 20% from us but got the 18 instead since that's what she asked for.

Sally S.

Yelp
Excellent beer and great food. Really cool ambience. Had burger and IPA. Definitely recommend!

Reviewer R.

Yelp
Spicy chicken Korean sandwich was alright. It's kinda just two chicken strips slapped together with Korean sauce on it.

Jaime R.

Yelp
Came in for a quick snack and to Tate some beer. Beer was good but the street corn fritters is where it is at! My fiancé said it is by far one of the best appetizers he has ever had, and that a lot coming from him! We sat at the bar and had quick service, despite the bartender helping out tables and running dishes to the back. Overall great ambiance and design.

Jodi H.

Yelp
Great lil brew spot for the dogs outdoors, full food menu, and variety of beers! Stopped by Immersion prior to going to Crux for our little brew tour, and it was a great place to relax and enjoy the commotion in the plaza. Immersion is located in a plaza with a bunc h of other restaurants and shops, so there's always something going on. I had their taster set, which is a max of five selections. I had two hazies, their white ale and a regular west coast IPA. I cannot recall the names, but I do remember that both of the hazies tasted more bitter than I preferred. I also ordered their grilled chicken sandwich which came with delicious fries. I got the bacon on the side, and my friend loved munching on the crispy goodness. The food was better than the selection of IPAs I had tbh. The patio seating is also pretty nice, as they have full service and is super great for your dog. Every table had a dog, and we also spotted some kiddos too. Nice lil hang, but it's definitely more of a pitstop if you're looking to brewhop or settle in a larger space/people-watching spot. Service is friendly and quick! Love the ladies who were working that Sunday afternoon. Parking isn't too bad, but you might have to drive around the lot during prime time.

Tori Y.

Yelp
Had a lovely dog friendly patio and accommodated a vegetarian diet, although there were not a ton of vegetarian options. The staff was very friendly and provided prompt service. I had the summer salad which was a great size with a great ratio of lettuce to toppings.

Andrea P.

Yelp
Excellent local brews with fine pub grub. We stopped on our way back home from a bike ride for a burgers and a brew. Friendly helpful staff assisted with choosing a beer. Had a mushroom Swiss grilled chicken burger with fries. The fries were crispy and deliciously seasoned. Chicken moist and tasty . We sat inside, but there is a front patio with seating and they had live music going out there.

Lindsay T.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town we've been trying a few breweries and Immersion was a pleasant experience. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and friendly. The drinks were good but steep, $11 for the mixed drink. The nachos were good but a bit skimpy for the $17 price tag. There was maybe 4 oz of meat but the chips were crispy and the habanero cream sauce is so good! A little more ingredients for the price and this would have been a 5/5.

Courtney M.

Yelp
Great time! No complaints here, just a good ol' brewery. We didn't get food, the beer was delicious. We appreciated the dog love in that place and took home some awesome stickers. We'll try the food next time!

Y A.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place because of their beer. I loved the hazy IPA! Crisp, cold, delicious. The location is in the busy Old Mill area and the patio is next to the parking lot but the flower beds and tables help you forget. There's inside seating too but with this beautiful weather and our covered table we opted for outside. In fact, by the time we left it was packed! There was even a water bowl for our dog, a high chair for our toddler, and a spot to park our bikes nearby. The customer service was outstanding, thanks Chuck! The smoked salmon BLT was good and so were there tater tots- perfectly crunchy. I wasn't a fan of the Pubhouse burger. There's so lettuce or tomato on it so it felt really heavy despite having a tasty sauce. Several tables near us ordered nachos so we might try some next time. Overall, I'd recommend this place for an afternoon drink and snack!

Rachel V.

Yelp
Yikes. I'm not sure who she was or what her role is but the gal with long reddish? Maybe hair was so incredibly rude it was uncomfortable. We watched her do this with a multitude of people and then loudly talk to other employees about customers. If you don't want to have kids then fine, make it a rule but don't loudly shame parents and get mad at kids for being kids. Especially when they're super little. I can get a mediocre beer somewhere else where they're kinder and more accommodating.

Doug D.

Yelp
Terrible service. Mediocre food. I don't know what else to say. The review requires 85 characters in order to post it so the only other thing I can say is I did not enjoy my experience there.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Beer wasn't bad. Watch a dog get tied up our side for 35 minutes in 80-degree heat on hot top without being checked on, and when I brought up to waitress, she said no big deal it's a regular. Do not support a company that isn't kind to animals!

Rose L.

Yelp
This place was good! We both got salads. Both were fresh, and very flavorful. The cob was good, but just needs a bigger bowl since there were lots of toppings, but that is a good problem to have! The service was good and super friendly. I will be back.

Tammy W.

Yelp
We had a flight of beer + the pretzels as an app. The beer was very good - we basically got all the beers that aren't IPAs. The light lagers were crisp and easy to drink. The pretzels were not good. No flavor, the texture wasn't great either. I'd come back for the beer but skip the food.

Susan L.

Yelp
Service was prompt and friendly. Wagyu Burger was over cooked and they redid the whole thing without any awkwardness. It was delicious as were the fish tacos. I had a good Hazy IPA and enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Hazel H.

Yelp
Great place to eat when in Bend. Servers were very friendly and the atmosphere was clean. The food and drinks hit the spot.

Lisa M.

Yelp
My roommate and I decided to take a quick trip to Bend from Portland this week. While researching places to eat for lunch, we were surprised with how many breweries were in the area. And... Thank GOD we chose Immersion! First off, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter gave us great beer and food recommendations. We ordered the fish tacos and immersion burger, both delicious. Portion sizes are big, and we had enough to take home for dinner. I also tried the sour and my friend had the hazy IPA. The sour was light and refreshing! They have great COVID precautions. Tables are pretty far apart from each other and we'll sanitized after each guest. The brewery is pretty big and has a pretty industrial cool vibe- must have been a great place to hang out pre-COVID days ago! Overall, would 10/10 recommend!

Karen V.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with the Farewell Bend cocktail. The man enjoyed the Big Yummy IPA. Double hazy 8% ABV. Small nachos to wash it all down with ;)

Earl H.

Yelp
Ably served by "Bill ", his public moniker, the Great Gal nosed on quality fish tacos and housemate chips, while I dove into a pretty decent clam chowder. Alas, no Westminister oyster crackers. Quality brewery here. I loved their Devil in a Barrel. Had to have two!

Kira U.

Yelp
Central Oregon is positively teeming with breweries - there are close to thirty breweries, with the lion-share of those in Bend. It's hard to go wrong whichever of those you choose to visit, but if you want to be sure you'll be experiencing one of the best, make a point of putting Immersion near the top of your list :-) The staffers here are welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The venue is stylish and creatively appointed, the atmosphere is fun, and the food and beer are first tier! On our first visit, we were craving burgers and beer and were quite impressed on both fronts. The burgers were cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection, with delicious, well- balanced toppings. Portion sizes were generous, so we didn't leave hungry; we also very much enjoyed the craft brews. Tip: They have an excellent selection of both IPAs and sour ales - we each found several to our liking; everyone but our designated driver was VERY happy with the choices ;-)

Ashley V.

Yelp
Loved the food, the alcohol and the vibe. Part of a party of 2, quickly seated on a Friday night. Ordered a cider and it was delicious! Had the Pub House Burger which was cooked to perfection with fries that appeared fresh cut. My fried had the Buffalo chicken sandwich which they thoroughly enjoyed. Server was attentive and over all I was satisfied with my meal!

Melissa B.

Yelp
Immersion is the dark horse of burgers with an amazing balance of good beer and food that doesn't go the typical all- in, beer bi-product craziness. We've all seen the beer battered, hops incrusted, porter milkshake madness happen; which is a great way to use what's available but can be overkill. Immersion will make your foodie tastebuds rejoice in great beer, hands down best burger in town and fantastic service! Get lots of napkins and let the messy speak for itself. Soooo good!

Alicia W.

Yelp
We were in the area doing some shopping and decided to stop in at Immersion Brewing for lunch. We sat outside on the patio in front of the brewery underneath the shade of an umbrella. Their patio is dog friendly which is a big plus for us! They even brought out a water bowl for him. Plenty of seating on the inside as well with lots of space. I ordered the Ooga Booga Mixed Berry Kettle Sour, it was light and only slightly tart but had a nice refreshing taste. My husband and I split the Immersion Caesar Salad and the Truffled Mushroom Swiss Burger with tots. They knew we were going to split these items, so they brought out the burger and tots on two separate plates for us! The food was all really good, we had no complaints. There was enough dressing on our salad, portion sizes were appropriate on both entrees, burger was cooked as ordered, and tots were crispy. Our friends got the Sunny Days Salad and the Southwest Cobb Salad, they both enjoyed their meals as well. Nothing bad to say about this place, not giving five stars because it was not as exceptional of an experience compared to another brewpub we went to this weekend in the area. However, this is one that I would still recommend to others who want a brewery with food that is in a fun part of town!

Sarah O.

Yelp
We love coming to Bend and visiting immersion! We love the food and the service is always friendly and helpful! Beer is great, too!!

Ben V.

Yelp
Grabbed takeout and beers. Looked like a cool setup inside to hangout. Was only in there while waiting for food but looked like a cool spot to hang. Service was great. Honey Lager is delicious. Food was split: Salad was fresh and delicious. All veggies were great. Nachos were not great. The queso was not what I expected but had decent flavor. The cheese on top was questionable. Maybe it was the oil used for the chips. Something seemed truffle based or a weird oil. I had a couple chips and had to throw it all away. I tried to pick through and find parts I liked but just ended up being too much work for nothing I really liked. I do not recommend the nachos. Unfortunately, cause it's hard to get nachos wrong. They were just weird and didn't taste very good. Also barely had any chicken. Maybe, they tried to get too crafty with these. I don't know. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was real good! Bun, bacon, chicken, sauce, etc. this was real good!

Luanne A.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Thursday night for dinner. One of our members is celiac and they were out of GF bread. Ok so she was limited to a salad. She asked for chicken on the salad and when it arrived there was no chicken. Had to remind the waitress and she promptly brought it. You'd think with the number of people with GF intolerance and celiac they would have some fare besides salad available. We ordered the Thai shrimp salad and they were out of the dressing so we had the and sesame oil blend. They kindly offered other dressings like poppyseed but it definitely didn't go. I didn't mind the plain vinegar/oil so much but was surprised they didn't have ingredients for items they show on their menu. Also, menu said the shrimp was sautéed so I wasn't expecting the shrimp to be cold. Like refrigerated cold. Other people ordered burgers and the BLT. Both fine. We ordered beers and cider which was good. Our stuff came mixed up (salad/fries on wrong plates) and that's forgiving. But for being only one of two parties in the restaurant I'm surprised at all the mistakes and can't give 5 stars for this place. May try again when we don't want food.

Matina C.

Yelp
Always a great experience. Queso is nice and spicy, shrimp and grits are delish, hubby loves the burgers and fish and chips! I cannot remember what it's called but it's a like a soda they make in house that contains alcohol. I am not a sweet drinker but it was good, not too sweet at all.

Ben W.

Yelp
We liked the pretzel and nachos the best, the sandwiches, and Poké bowl were above average but not great. I don't know that Id need to come back for just the sandwiches
