I stopped by Immigrant Son Caffe for breakfast and had a really great experience. I ordered the Giovanni omelet and it was fantastic — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and filling without being heavy. You can tell they care about what comes out of the kitchen. The outdoor seating is a big plus. It’s a really nice spot to sit, relax, and just enjoy being downtown. Great atmosphere, comfortable vibe, and a good place to start your morning. Service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. Everything felt smooth and welcoming. If you’re looking for a solid breakfast spot in Ventura with good energy and quality food, this is definitely one worth checking out. I’ll be back.

I went for lunch and really wanted to love this place, but the food ultimately landed somewhere in the middle for me. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not memorable. The service, however, was excellent. Our waiter checked in on us multiple times, was genuinely attentive, and the food came out quickly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich with a side Caesar salad. The chicken parm was the highlight — good tang in the sauce and nicely seasoned breading, though it was a little on the dry side. The Caesar salad was pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I also tried one of the limited-time health juice options, which wasn’t for me at all, though I can see how others might enjoy it. Overall, great service and a pleasant experience, but the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

I am glad we had breakfast here to set-off our week-long road trip up North. My mom ordered the pancakes with bananas, the pancakes were huge so she shared some with me. Son had the Giovanni omelette, I tried a piece and it was flavorful. My brother and sister both ordered tallow fried chicken and waffles each. The fried chicken and seasoned well and the waffles were delicious. Sis-in-law had the burrata scrambled eggs and I had the bacon flight. Food was good all around, we had enough to share and taste each other’s orders. Service was courteous and efficient. We opted for outside seating on a gorgeous and crisp October morning. Paid street parking, free parking a few blocks down is also available. There was only one restroom and it was gender neutral.

Immigrant Son Cafe in Ventura is a must-visit! The bacon here is absolutely unreal—seriously, don't miss it. We also loved the tasty holiday coffee drinks. Best of all, it’s dog-friendly, so we could bring our pup along. Big thanks to our server, Alvaro, for the excellent service!

A hidden gem in Ventura that has tasty, authentic Italian food! My husband and I both enjoyed the pasta we got served in homemade bread bowls: carbonara and chicken alla vodka. They also have a delicious breakfast too! Highly recommend if you like Italian food.

After strolling down Main St, we happily ran into Immigrant Son Caffe. I had bookmarked it and it was clearly a popular choice on Main St. They have outdoor and indoor seating and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the weather. This spot closes at 2pm and has a great brunch/lunch Italian inspired menu. We chose the Tallow Fried Chicken and Waffles, which included Riccota and Rosemary Waffles, Parmesan Breaded Chicken, and Calabrian Chili Butter. The chicken was super crispy and tender and we loved the parmesan breading. We also tried the Avocado Pomodoro Toast. The tomato, garlic, and onion is a diced mix that I asked to have on the side. The generously topped avocado sourdough toast was topped with two perfectly cooked poached eggs and I topped it with the provided fresh basil and olive oil. Overall, great service and delicious food!

I love that they serve breakfast all day! The paresian omelette was delicious. Walked over from a conference and had a lovely lunch with some coworkers. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Wait staff was attentive.

First time trying Immigrant Son Coffee and I'm already planning what I'm going to get my next visit! It was incredible. The food, the staff, the aesthetic of the cafe. All of it, superb. Our waiter, Michael, was incredibly kind and gave us the best recommendations. My dad ordered the chicken and waffles that he had suggested and he enjoyed it immensely. The portion sizes were also very generous. In total before tip, everything I have pictured totaled about $113 which wasn't bad at all. Anyway, loved this place and I'm excited to return!

Finally visited Immigrant Son Caffe in Ventura. It's probably best to park at the parking garage & take a stroll here. Come here for breakfast or lunch since they close at 2pm. I visited the Oxnard location & had a great experience. So, I had to make an appearance here at their 1st location in Ventura. Michael, sat us outside. Cute outdoor picnic-like seating on picnic benches with flowery table coverings. It felt nice w/ a slight breeze under the shade. I did not go inside the restaurant, but it seemed like a good amount of people dining for Brunch. Treated my friend for her birthday & she enjoyed it. We both enjoyed our meal. I had 1/2 of her Caprese Sandwich to take home since she ate the other 1/2 of my Focaccia Breakfast Sandwich. Both sandwiches were really good. Thank you Immigrant Son for the yummy meal & drinks! We will return for more :)

Great place in downtown Ventura, busy but well staffed. The wait was very manageable for a table. Service really was excellent, waitress super friendly and efficient. My omelet was tasty and Lee's meatball appetizer moist and delicious. I had to try the arancini balls, and they were worth it. Side dish of great fruit, and an ice tea. We'll be back.

Immigrant Son is a great spot for tasty breakfast options. We were seated somewhat quickly on a Saturday around 10:00am. I started with a Green Juice which was incredibly refreshing. I then ordered an oat milk latte and the breakfast sandwich substituting the sausage for bacon and potatoes for fruit. The sandwich was rich and a tad salty, but good. My husband ordered their tiramisu affogato and a peach Bellini; both of which he enjoyed. He ordered the eggs Benedict and thought they were great. Service was nice and I loved all the Italian decor inside.

What a find! An out of the box menu and the friendliest place I have ever encountered. Everything we had was fantastic.. I had a special Pulled pork Benedict over cornbread, I had never seen this on a menu and loved it. my husband had Nonna's Polenta with all the ad ons. He loved it and Ioved it more. Not only are they people friendly but they are dog friendly, The pups split an order of chicken sausage and they loved it. WE sat on the sheltered inside patio, it was quite pleasant our server Riley was just adorable and eager to please. it was my husband's birthday and she brought us a birthday Tiramisu. Beautiful presentation. I know my tiramisus and this one was perfection. we will work this into our rotation!

Good brunch. Staff were friendly and the vibe was great. I had a green juice and an egg white omelette, and my partner had an orange juice and gluten free Belgian waffle. -1 star because the fruit was not fresh (especially the berries), the sausage was dry, and the syrup was not real maple syrup.

Immigrant Son Café is next level 5+ stars! Wanted a special place for my niece's 21st birthday. Never expected the delicious food and service we found here. Both breakfast and lunch offerings were delicious. I've never had pasta served in a bread bowl and this one made you want to actually eat the whole bread bowl- Delicious! The Chilaquiles were authentic and spicy. The sauce was perfect and I am very picky about my Mexican food! Love the restaurant's ambience with an industrial modern vibe. The large area out front along Main Street is a great place to people watch and it fills up fast! Our amazing waiter Michael overheard us wishing our niece a happy birthday and made sure that he brought our table a special tiramisu dessert for her without our asking. Everything about this place is perfect, from the service to the food and to the location on wonderful Main St., Ventura . You simply can't go wrong and we will be back. One recommendation for the owners ... open for dinner with a dinner menu! Ventura could use another great dinner place and we absolutely would've come back for dinner if you had been open!!

This cafe is bright and mellow. The service was great, Michael took care is us with a smile and made recommendations. The chicken and waffles is the perfect blend is sweet, salty, and spicy with the pepper butter. The Bacon Flight was delicious and perfect to share. The breakfast lasagna was flavorful and and an interesting way of combining a comfort food with breakfast. Great place to eat at, I'm looking forward to returning.

We absolutely loved everything about this place! From the initial greeting when we walked in to the moment we left we were very impressed. The food was delicious and so fresh! The staff friendly and knowledgeable. Luis was a gem! Great sense of humor and so kind! the overall feel reminiscent of so many European meals. We will definitely be back!

I came in to lunch the other day here at Immigrant Son Caffe in Ventura. I saw that they had a very good reviews and was very intrigued by what they had to offer. I wasn't really sure what to order so I asked the waitress and she recommended the breakfast carbonara pasta. I went at around lunchtime and was told that the breakfast and lunch items were ready to go but I didn't really know what to narrow down. I also got an iced tea. Overall, I was very glad by the carbonara. It tasted really good and that pasta was very al dente, the bacon had the right amount of saltiness and also a great bite to it, and the cream sauce tied it all together. Next time I really want to try the bacon flight or maybe one of the lunch sandwiches. This is a great place to have a delicious meal and the team that work here is fantastic. There is tons of parking all around. There is a free lot in the bag but when I got there for lunch it was completely packed and I had to find street parking nearby.

There is always a line for a reason! The food was delicious. There's always staff walking around for your needs. We went Mother's Day and they were pumping out dishes. Everyone had a good time! Outdoor seating is perfect for large families and dogs! They have a smaller area inside and one bathroom. The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of! Bloody Merry is a must try!

Great breakfast spot in the heart of downtown. With seating inside or out you have plenty of nice options. Service is excellent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was juicy breast filets crispy fried and coated in parmigiana cheese. Quite filling and delicious.

Probably my favorite breakfast spot in Ventura. Indoor seating, outdoor seating, both work just fine! Sometimes there's a line but service is always prompt. I always order the same thing because I love it so much much, the giovanni omelette- add mushrooms. You can't go wrong. I've also tried the breakfast lasagna, breakfast carbonara, deviled eggs, bacon flight, pretty much made my way through most of the menu- nothing disappoints! Their desserts are also delicious! Great food, great service, great ambiance.

I've found my new happy place! We came in on a Saturday around noon and were surprisingly seated immediately. This location has a cute casual atmosphere. All of the staff are so nice and seem genuinely happy to be there. I ordered the carbonara and it was divine. That dish was made with love. Sooo delicious. The bread bowl was kinda like a pita but more firm. I also got a mimosa and an espresso martini. Their espresso martini was SOOO good, like top 10 I've ever had. The salmon Benedict was very good and light. We loved the potatoes!

There was a line but we were seated within minutes on a Sunday morning! Our server was great, knowledgeable, charming and constantly checked on us. The Bloody Mary and the espresso martini were delicious. The deviled eggs and the smoked salmon Benedict was good. The breakfast lasagna was a little dry and the bottom pasta layer chewy to get through but the concept was really good. We enjoyed the brunch, the ambiance and service and would recommend it to anyone looking for brunch in the charming downtown Ventura.

Came with a group for brunch on Saturday. We got luck and sat quickly (it got busier after we were seated). We sat outside, they had umbrellas for sun cover. I wish I had gotten the waiter's name, he was fantastic. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. The whipped burrata was our favorite, closely followed by the bacon flight. I thought that was gimmicky but it was truly great. Main courses were also beautiful and delicious. I had the chicken parm which I would order again in a heart beat. Everyone loved their dishes. To keep it simple, it's the best brunch spot I've ever visited. I'm excited to return and try the Oxnard location as well.

Excellent brunch and service. The wait was minimal even though it was clearly busy, and the service was prompt even on a Saturday for brunch. My mom and I split the yogurt parfait which was super tasty, and I had the eggs benedict with the prosciutto. It was delicious and honestly looking at other people's food around the the restaurant, everything looked pretty good. Our waitress was so friendly and super pretty lol. I didn't get her name unfortunately. But, I had ordered a hot chai and I got an iced one (from another server), and she came and immediately apologized. They brought me a hot chai even though I told them it was really ok and I would just drink the iced one, so that was very good service. Would definitely recommend and return.

We stopped here on our way home from the central coast and thought it was a super cute cafe. The food was good but didn't blow our minds with flavor. The meatballs were a little tough but had good flavor. Maybe we didn't order the right things. They give you a little pizzelle cookie to take with you which was a sweet touch. Service was good and the staff was very friendly. Location was central to all the downtown shopping which was nice.

The service was fantastic. My eggs were perfectly cooked. The potatoes were good but unusual and many would not like the sweet red peppers or sautéed onions. The sourdough toast is nothing like a real sourdough. Now the worst was the sausage patties. They are quite small but that's not issue. The sausages are oddly seasoned and rather unpalatable. The texture of them is grainy, not meat like rather like perhaps some crackers have been crushed and added. I won't recommend them to anyone.

I went to brunch with one of my besties, and love to hit up new spots. This one did not disappoint. Food was very generous and flavorful. I even tried the bacon flight, interesting concept, but not sure I will do it again. I wasn't overly impressed with it. Fun if you have never tried it, but not something I put on must have every time. Coffee was good too. Nice spot.

It was my second time trying this place after I came here 2 years ago when I was on a trip. Let me say that it was just as good as the first time I tried it. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It's a great spot to bring your family I really liked the benches they had outside.

Love this place @ Collection. One of best meals I've had in Oxnard in nearly 3 years of living here. Breakfast on a Sunday morning was packed. Long line. No reservations taken. Skipped to geo t of line because we are 2 people rather than large party. Had delicious eggs Benedict and fab cappuccino. Lovely, warm service. Ate outside- nice. Fiancé had breakfast lasagne which was enormous, even for him. He liked it as well. Had fresh OJ. Staff attentive although place was jumping. Yes, recommend and wanna go back.

Background On Visit: Originally, we were planning to go to Finney Crafthouse for lunch, but a small business owner from Fiddle and Fern told us that there was a great breakfast place that we had to try out and so we DID! Restroom: One restroom stall towards the back of the restaurant Credit Card: They do accept credit cards. Location/Parking: Located in between N. California St. and N. Chestnut St.. Parking can be found in neighboring streets. They also have have meter parking. Just remember that they block off parts of Main St.. Stayed at Best Western so the the walk to this place wasn't far and didn't have to stress about finding parking. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty neat place. Had this pretty chill ambiance that matched the beach town. From the outside, the restaurant looks small, but when you go further inside it's spacious. Modern furnishings and neat decor through out the restaurant. Service: The hostess was very nice and attentive. She greeted us and surveyed inside and the outdoor patio to see how long the wait would be. We didn't have to wait long to get a table. The staffer that took our order forgot to put a order in. He was apologetic and told us that it was a misunderstanding. Even though, the order wasn't placed in the first place, we did order it towards the end of our meal. Food For Thought: 1) Poblano Omelet: Omelet was very good. It consisted of pulled chicken, poblano, and mozzarella cheese. It also came with a side of breakfast potatoes, fruit, and your choice of toast. The breakfast potatoes were over seasoned and tasted very salty to me. I'll ask them next time if it's possible to have them unsalted. 2) Breakfast Lasagna: The main STAR of the meal! My goodness! It's was soo goooood! It was worth the wait and would love to eat it again. Plus, I really LOVE lasagna! :) 3) Tiramisu: Very enjoyable. I definitely think this place has better tiramisu than Pasta Sisters! Moist and muy delicioso! Just don't inhale the cocoa powder! Not fun at all! :P Immigrant Son Caffe For Thought: Would love to come back when I visit again.

We love this spot. Owners are so nice! The staff is wonderful and helpful. They have great recommendations. My breakfast go-to when eating out is always a Benedict. The Molise is delicious. Love to get there at opening to ensure a table. It's a popular spot. Cute spot right on Main.

This place never disappoints! The service is great, the ambience is beautiful, and the food is amazing. They have really unique items on their menu and I've never had something I didn't like. They are also very accommodating to my gluten allergy, bringing me gluten free bread instead of the regular focaccia bread. Most recently I got the breakfast charcuterie and it was delicious. Big shoutout to our server Michael who was friendly, attentive, and even offered to let me sample the Bloody Mary mix to see if it'd be too spicy for me! Love this place.

When we offer to take our CA family out for a meal, they choose Immigrant Son Caffe in downtown Ventura. There's a reason for that! It's wonderful. Delicious food--they're partial to the brunch for breakfast lasagna and strawberry buttermilk pancakes, with a flight of honey sesame bacon. And of course there're Benedict's, omelettes and other traditional fare. Our granddaughter devours the fresh OJ. And there are favorite coffee and espresso drinks. Alessandro knows his biz and manages his eatery hands on, confident in his friendly, efficient staff, like Cindy, a hostess making everyone feel welcome, and Faith, who has a high chair and table for 5 on the sunny outer area set up in a flash. As I said, the food was memorable, and there was plenty of it. It's a mostly Italian cuisine with American comfort food offerings. We'll be back.

No fuss, no muss pasta at a great location with an awesome patio. I love getting a plate and a mimosa, then sitting outside to people watch and enjoy the sun. I love that the pasta comes in bread bowls. The pasta is really fresh. The carbonara was tasty but a little light in flavor. I recommend one of their other sauce options, especially the alla vodka or any of the tomato based ones. They have great breakfast variety and I think the best time to go here is for brunch. Try the eggs benedict, breakfast lasagna, and pair it with a nice sparkling mimosa. All in all, this is a solid and no nonsense spot.

Great food, service, drinks, and ambiance! I've had the original Ventura location bookmarked for a while, but finally got to try it here at The Collection. Even arriving at 12:30 on a Sunday, we only had to wait about 20-30 minutes which wasn't bad. I tried one of their specialty Italian breakfast drinks they were offering with espresso, a liquor, egg white, and more...I forget what it was called but it was quite tasty! It's a small hot drink more unique than my typical mimosa choice (which looked quite good too, nice size glass and made with the right OJ & champagne proportions!). Though the breakfast lasagna was tempting, I got the Focaccia Breakfast Sandwich which was very good. The burrata scrambled eggs were just YUM. Glad I finally got to come here and I am looking forward to being back and trying so much more!

Cute brunch spot in downtown Ventura with a laid-back outdoor vibe. I ordered the avocado toast and lox benedict -- both dishes were fresh, well-plated, and visually impressive. The coffee was smooth and came with free refills, which was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and the service felt warm without being pushy. However, some of the menu items felt a bit overpriced for what you get. It's a nice place to try if you're in the area.

A friend suggested going here for brunch and I was excited to come here since I've heard such great things! I instantly loved the ambience and loved the outdoor patio and indoor seating areas. We ordered a pumpkin spice latte which was tasty and had a perfect amount of sweetness to it. I loved the pumpkin spice topping too. The bacon flight was pretty, but the taste was off on every one I tried. They tasted old and low quality. The texture was good and crispy, but the flavor wasn't good. The prosciutto eggs benedict wasn't very good either. The temperature of it was room temperature and the bread was very lightly toasted and not enough for my liking. The poached egg was undercooked and almost inedible. The hollandaise sauce was average, but nothing great. The potatoes with onions and red peppers were quite yummy though. Our service was good and our server checked up on us regularly and was sweet. Overall, the service and ambiance were great. I enjoyed the coffee too, but don't know if I would return for food.

As usual the food was amazing! Our server Mike was right on point. I recommend the Chicken & waffle and the Bacon flight appetizer.

Excellent breakfast spot with good quality coffee (an absolute must!). Its a smaller menu, however, everything on it is amazing! Friendly service and super cool down to earth owner. Made you feel like family when dining there. Can be a bit of a wait, however, they do turn tables rather quickly. Trust me its worth the wait so don't be too put off if their is a long line.

Well this was a delightful brunch! This is a popular brunch spot in downtown Ventura. They feature outdoor seating too. The staff are fast and friendly. I enjoyed the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It is served with potatoes and fruit as sides. All delicious. Also enjoy cocktails and great coffee drinks. Since this is a very popular spot plan for a short wait for a table. But its worth the wait. Park in the nearby municipal parking.

I heard great things about this place and decided to check them out. I'm glad we did because they definitely lived up to the hype. The entire visit was excellent. The staff are very kind, the place is super clean with indoor and outdoor seating, and the food is excellent. I had the breakfast lasagna. I was impressed, lots of flavor and I've never had snoring like it before. I can't wait to come back and explore the menu.

This charming spot is not only so cute but has the BEST customer service! My family loved dining here. We enjoyed all of our dishes and the beautiful and delicious lattes they served us. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was perfectly made with the freshest ingredients and skillet or roasted potatoes made just right- not oily and had a crisp exterior. I loved the food presentation as well. I would love to visit again when I'm in the area.

When I saw how high up this place made it on Yelp's top brunch spots in 2024 I knew it was my sign to finally give this place a try. We came for brunch on a weekday holiday and it was quite busy but we were able to be seated without a wait. The host out front greeted us warmly, so already off to a great start! We ordered the breakfast lasagna and the immigrant son. The breakfast lasagna is definitely a hearty brunch item, but I happened to be starving that day. While it's just the eggs and bacon that really makes this a "breakfast" lasagna, the sauce really stood out. I didn't know marinara sauce could taste so good! The lasagna was just cheesy goodness. The Immigrant Son is a sandwich with prosciutto, pesto, and burrata. While it appears to be a very simple item, the ingredients are super fresh. I really loved how fragrant the pesto was. Prices are a little on the higher side, but I think it's because of the quality of the ingredients they use so it's worth the splurge. This place is located in downtown Ventura so if you're okay with walking you can probably find some free street parking. They even gave us a free cookie after our meal, which was such a sweet surprise! Our waitress was very attentive and this place overall has great vibes.

Loved having brunch at Immigrant Son Caffe in the outdoor seating section in Ventura downtown street. I don't typically have pasta for brunch, but the morning carbonara was delicious and loaded with cheesy goodness. We finished the whole thing along with the bread bowl! Though it is nice to share, so I also tried the poblano omelette with pulled chicken. The omelette was a typical omelette, nothing to write home about. I did enjoy having the egg nog latte, a nice spot to have a coffee date and share a bowl of carbonara. I would also come back to try the breakfast lasagna since that seems like a popular item. Staff was welcoming since we arrived and thorough in explaining specials and the menu. Excellent service from our server Michael!

We are from Texas and camped here for a couple of days, and found Immigrant Son Caffe via Yelp (thank you, Yelp!) while wandering downtown Ventura on Saturday. We were craving Italian, and there are a few on Main Street, but the menu had us wanting to try them. We had probably passed it a couple of times because of all the umbrellas over the tables in front of their sign, so we retraced our steps to them before they closed at 2:00pm. And sooo glad we did! It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside, under one of many umbrellas, to people watch on Main St. And we could have ordered every dish that passed by. We decided on the Rigatoni Pesto and the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. The rigatoni was served in a hand-made bread bowl (see picture). We have never seen a handmade one before, and it was edible and delicious! The generous sandwich had a house-made marinara poured on the side, which you could dip your sandwich in. Also delicious. We tried their handmade cannoli, a plate of 3 different flavor fillings, also delicious. Do you see a pattern here? But to top it off, the waiter also gave each of us one of Nonna's pizzelles, a delicate and light waffle cookie, to take home. Such a nice, family touch- who does that these days?! We were so full from our meal we didn't eat them until the next day (after looking up what a pizzelle is..). And guess what? They were delicious. If you're in Ventura you gotta try this very Italian family restaurant!

I love this cafe because I love the good vibe that this cafe has. All staff are always nice and friendly. The service is amazing. I had pasta, Rigatoni Giardino, and Flat White coffee, and my boyfriend had Chicken Parmigiana and Green Juice. The pasta was like soup pasta, had a very simple salty seasoning, and was in an edible bread bowl. The Green Juice was a very healthy smoothie. The Chicken Parmigiano was also good. Because everything was delicious, I will come back to try some dishes. After we paid, they gave us delicious cookies, which was nice. Dog friendly There is an outdoor seating. No parking, so we parked our car on the street.

Bacon flight had me soaring! I mean who does this?! They do! Coffee and food is amazing! ESP the breakfast lasagna. Yes please and it's layered perfectly. The service was fast and friendly. The place was nice, they even give you a pressed cookie when you leave. Enjoy!

I returned after a couple years and I am happy I did. The service is still A+ and the food/drinks were very good. Their coffee is like crack. I'm not sure what it is, but it's the best coffee I've found at a local restaurant. For breakfast I had a Bloody Mary and breakfast lasagna. Despite being a "double", the Bloody Mary still didn't provide any head change. But that's fine as my goal wasn't to get hammered at 11am. The breakfast lasagna was really good. Taste just like its name. Full of flavor and nice portion. Again, service was excellent l--we had Faith as our server. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. The place was clean and out party had a really good time!

Everyone there is very welcoming and polite :) The food is delicious, I recommend the Breakfast Lasagna! It's such a beautiful place to have breakfast. I especially love their indoor/outdoor patio
