This had been a fairly solid, if not basic American-Chinese restaurant through the years, but customers should now beware of their shady billing practices.
I ordered takeout on 07/10/22 and the bill was surprisingly $71.44. I have never had a bill that high at this restaurant so I checked for an itemized receipt when I got home, but there was none. Next, I carefully went through their online menu item by item and actually had only purchased precisely $60.00 of food. Add 8.25% tax and my purchase was actually $64.95. Where did their extra $6.49 charge come from?
I immediately called the restaurant back hoping they would correct their error, but they would not. The first explanation they gave was that this was due to a CC fee. I have ordered many times from this establishment and have never been accessed a CC fee. Also, there is no disclosure of such a fee online or in the store itself. When I poo-poo'd (pun intended) that claim, they very, very quickly said that some menu items have gone up. The immediate (0.5s) timing of the second excuse is telling. I bet there was a third excuse too, but we never got to that. Their current, online menu said I purchased exactly $60 of food. They effectively robbed me of $6.49.
I made my last Imperial Garden purchase on 07/10/22 & hope that you will consider my experience when choosing from the many decent American-Chinese restaurants in the McKinney, TX area.

I went through all of this horrible restaurant's YELP reviews and found an amazing number of one star reviews that included 3 that also mentioned being overcharged including one from 2019 where the person was given the same story as me regarding menu prices. Please, please do NOT support these people!
