Food was delicious. We ate family style They served our soup and packed up our leftover which was enough for us to eat again. Fast and friendly service. I highly recommend to try it I will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff at Imerial Garden

Not what it used to be. The food was saturated in grease, no flavor even though fried rice is drenched in soy sauce. They used little to no vegetables or egg. This used to be my favorite place I’m not sure how they are still opened.

This is definitely my favorite place to get Chinese food, i’ve tried quite a few places but Imperial Garden is by far the best. The food is amazing every time, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is quiet, clean, and relaxing ! it’s become my favorite date spot

I love this place. Food is delicious, service is excellent, and best part is it’s affordable. I always come here for the family dinners. They offer a variety of dishes at a fixed price per person and the more people you have the more dishes they’ll give you. Great place to go to with family/friends. As for the service, when I first ate here, I was surprised by the waiters/waitresses because they would bring out our soup and personally serve it to us. Not only that but when it got to the end of the dinner, they also packed our leftovers for us and put it all in a neat little bag.

This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve had. The food always is the best quality and comes out warm and delicious. Perfect amount of seasoning and more that enough portions. I’ve came here since I was young and still love it to this day. Love this place great services and amazing food.

I am always greeted with hospitality and the food is amazing, personally I love the wonton soup and the orange chicken, you most definitely should not miss the gyozas & the asparagus. My family has been eating here for years. 10/10 recommend

After my old man said every small town has Chinese... of course we had to get Chinese! Daaang- this did not disappoint. Twice cooked pork mixed with pork fried rice and orange chicken with hot mustard

The prices were very good, the servings were huge, and the service was genuinely kind and attentive. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. The wonton soup was amazing.

Pleasant staff, fast service, and great food. I ordered a lunch special of sweet and sour pork with a side of chow mein and ordered mu shu chicken on the side as it is one of my favorite dishes and not many places have it. The food and service was exceptional. Some places it's hit or miss but this was definitely a hit.

Imperial Garden has been a favorite in our family for decades. Excellent service, pricing and food! we love their cream cheese won tons and salt and pepper pork! the family is so sweet and the ambiance is very inviting, clean and well decorated!

I have been eating here since this place opened and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very attentive and professional and the food always comes out fresh and very quick. Candy the owner is a Gem with a beautiful smile to greet every customer that walks through the door! My go-to's are the sizzling rice soup and salt and pepper calamari.

The staffs are friendly, welcoming and very attentive. We got our tea right away after we ordered and it's hot as we like.

We've been coming here for ages. Although I no longer live in Modesto, whenever I come into town to visit family it is a must have. We've catered, ordered out and dined in outrages number of time. The quality of the food and service has not changed. Chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, house chicken, salt and pepper wings and soups are always a go-to. Simply delicious!

I ordered bbq pork fried rice without vegetables. My first bite was, whoa! That's a lot of MSG! The bbq pork has a very good flavor to it. I added a little salt and it was a little better. Over all, not bad. They brought this out first. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp which came about 5 minutes later. I wish they brought it out together. The shrimp had a good flavor, however it was not sweet enough for me. You could taste the honey in the sauce. Again, I like mine a little sweeter. It was made to order as the coating was crispy. After a while the batter got mushier than I would like. I also liked that they took the time to glaze their walnuts. I just came from Chinatown in San Francisco yesterday and batter on that shrimp was perfect. It should be lightly battered and should not lose its crunch. You can tell they double fried the shrimp. Overall, I liked both dishes. If you like American Chinese food. This is the place for you. I might actually eat the leftovers in the hotel!

The food isn't to bad, however the ambiance is really bad. My husband and I ate there today around 4:30 and there was no one there but us. It was so quiet I felt like I was in a funeral home. I mentioned to the waitress that they needed to play some music and she just blew me off. There was also a broom and dustpan sitting by our table which wasn't very appealing. Will not going back!

I don't know why we don't come here more ? The food and service are Excellent! Everything is fresh and full of flavor. The sizzling rice soup hits the spot on a chili night. We love the Garlic chicken and Mongolian Beef !! Don't sleep on Imperial Garden !

A Modesto Favorite!!! Family-owned, long-time Modesto small businesses we all should be supporting not just because they're wonderful people that provide such great service, but the food is absolutely fantastic, made fresh, and consistently the same as the last time I ate here years ago. If you've never eaten here, try it, you will not regret it!!! If you moved to the far east side of town and got busy and forgot like me....come back....they're still fabulous!!!

Great authentic Chinese food in a prime location off the 99 fwy. House chicken and Mongolian beef are our favorites!

This is and has been my favorite Chinese food place for many, many years. I absolutely love their fried prawns. My niece just moved out of state, and she said they don't have fried prawns where she lives, and one thing she missed and wanted was Imperial Garden fried prawns. We made a double order because her me and my dad all planned to destroy them, and we did. We didn't take any home, haha. Pro tip: get the hot tea. It pares perfectly with the Chinese food. I add 2 packs of sugar to each cup of tea. I can't get enough of that tea. Pro tip: asl for extra sweet and dour sauce for each individual that likes it. So everyone had their own dipping sauce, and you don't have to worry about double dipping. The sweet and sour sauce isn't just good for dipping your fried prawns, I also like to pour it on my fried rice. My go-to order is fried prawns, a must. Chicken, beef, or shrimp fried rice, either one is great, I like to switch it up. Same with chow mein, chicken, beef, or shrimp. Then either beef and broccoli or Mongolian beef. And almost always get the cream cheese wontons. We usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. If you live close enough for delivery. I love that they deliver in-house, and you don't have to use an app and pay extra fees. In my opinion, it is still the best option for all-around Chinese food experience in the Modesto area. I do prefer orange chicken from another restaurant (Grand Asia, in Riverbank), but they are still my favorite to date. If you haven't been and you live here, shame on you. Now go and enjoy. Tell them I sent you, and they will say, who? Haha

Service was quick and welcoming. We ordered appetizers and 5 main dishes for a party of 4. The food was delicious, nothing was oily which is my main concern with egg rolls and wontons. Very clean tasting and no off tastes or smells. Let me say that the Spicy Green Beans and the Mango Chicken were fire!!!!The server was nice and the was very knowledgeable of all the food items. Will definitely be back here.

Placed delivery order around $52.00. I thought I ordered bbq pork fried rice. My error as I recd pork fried rice. Also ordered shrimp egg foo young (ordered twice before always delicious), no shrimp within the pancake just tossed on top with peas, carrots brown gravy. Pancake was tasteless. No spices etc at all. So will need to bbq the pork strips to jazz up the rice. The pancake will give to dogs. Will give this restaurant a rest.

This restaurant is a must if you like Chinese food! The dishes are always on point. They have the menu down to a science.

I have been coming here for over 10 years from Tracy. I make the drive because of the overall taste and quality of food that I haven't found anywhere near me. I haven't ordered anything I didn't like. Their food is delicious and tastes authentic. I will continue to be a loyal customers for years to come. Their prices are also reasonable and not over priced. You won't be disappointed! It's quiet, cool, and clean ambiance.

When we lived in Modesto, this was our favorite Chinese restaurant. We stopped in today after more than a decade and we were not disappointed. The food is still very flavorful and in huge portions. The service is still top notch. And the prices seem unchanged from years ago. The restaurant is still super clean - an absolute must for us. Everything on the menu is great, but the Kung Pao chicken is always outstanding. Glad to be back.
