As of 09/2021, Imperial Pizza's prices have increased across the entire menu.
It's been a couple months since I grabbed a pizza from here and I've noticed a couple changes - one pretty good and the other, not very good... At least the pizza is still phenomenal. :)
Called right before 5pm on a Saturday and, at first, it just kept ringing for about 5 minutes. I hung up and dialed again and was greeted with a automated voice-over and a menu of options. I selected "1", which was to place a pickup/delivery order and immediately was connected to a gentleman. As I was giving him my phone number though, I was disconnected, so I called again and thankfully the second time, no issues. The gentleman also noticed and thought it was strange. haha I placed my order and was told it'd be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived a little over 30 minutes later and the parking lot was absolutely packed. I had to wait about 5 minutes to finally get a spot. I was in and out though in under 3 minutes, which was excellent!
This Saturday, I ordered a Half (9", six slice) "Clark Classic": cheese, pepperoni, bacon, green peppers, and onions. They did an excellent job with this pizza! Every slice had plenty of sauce and cheese with tons of toppings. The dough was cooked perfectly and the crust was the right amount of crispy. They're dough is textbook Buffalo-style with it being more thick but airy and their red sauce is a little sweet, but not overly/sticky sweet, very good! The Half-size pizza is plenty for one (or two) people, but since I skipped lunch, I had no problems demolishing this pizza without feeling overfull afterward.
Now, besides their new automated phone menu, this was the other big change I observed: the prices. Everything on their menu has increased by $5-$6, which is heartbreaking. I absolutely love Imperial Pizza, but paying $26 for my usual (Half-size) pie is very pricey... With that price, I can't justify coming here as often. Not to say I won't be back, but this will definitely be a more rare outing for me.
Overall, Imperial Pizza serves up an excellent Buffalo-style pizza and the staff are courteous, I've not had a bad experience here. I wish their parking lot was bigger... haha But the price-hike is hard to swallow, I just hope this means that the workers are seeing a little more in their paycheck.
