Imprevisto Restaurante

Imprevisto is an absolute hidden gem in Barcelona that deserves far more recognition than just being listed as a Fork on the Michelin guide — I would argue it’s worthy of a star. The restaurant is very intimate, seating no more than 25 people, so reservations are essential. We enjoyed the 10-course tasting menu, which was not only extremely reasonably priced but also perfectly curated. Every dish — from the vegetarian courses to fish, chicken, and beef — was executed with precision, creativity, and balance. Each plate felt thoughtful and elevated without being pretentious. The sommelier was incredibly helpful in choosing a wine that paired seamlessly across the entire menu, and the service throughout the evening was flawless. Despite the meal spanning nearly three hours, the pacing was impeccable — never rushed, never dragging, just perfectly orchestrated. Imprevisto offers the kind of dining experience that stays with you long after you leave. Without hesitation, I would return in the future and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience in Barcelona.

Fantastic restaurant experience. Food was delicious and the wine pairing impeccable. We are hard to please with wine pairing as we wish to enjoy an experience not simply a good wine with good food. Every wine elevated the dish presented. They even managed a bold pairing with a sherry that worked beautifully. Without question the best restaurant we tried during our 12 days in Spain. They deserve more than a recognition from Michelin… ⭐️! Maybe they only simple thing they may think to improve to get that star is a more intimate atmosphere (better ambient lighting?) as service was very friendly and prompt. Highly recommended!

A relatively new restaurant, but one to look out for. The food aims for a star in the Guide Rouge, and if they keep up what doing, they’ll get there - so go now, when it’s cheap! Not all of the dishes are lookers, but there’s a true dedication to flavor here. In fact, a fish dish which looked quite unappetizing knocked me out with the depth of flavor and sheer gutsiness, so kudos for daring to not just go for looks! Service was lovely, if maybe a touch harried, and the sommelier was a sweetheart. Small minus for the gluten-free bread being a store-bought thing served in plastic (that’ll keep you from a star, trust me), but overall a great experience!

Our server was friendly, helpful and made the entire evening an event. The sommelier, Alberto, was knowledgeable and made delicious selections that paired perfectly with each dish. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Barcelona!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An exquisite dining experience!!! We had the 7 courses menu and that was a great experience. The dishes were original and incredibly tasty. The staff was amazingly friendly. Newly recommended by Michelin and we understand why. We will definitely come back soon.
