In-N-Out Burger

I hadn’t eaten at an In-N-Out Burger in a long time. I went last week to the location on Stacy in Allen, TX. The burger had no flavor, the bun was totally burnt on one end and the fries—they certainly don’t taste like they’re made from real potatoes. They were crispy and very dry. If I had a blindfold on, I would not have guessed that I was eating a french fry. I was very disappointed in the food. However, the gentleman taking my order, Bruce, was exceptionally friendly and very pleasant. Kudos to HR for hiring good employees!

2nd time to an in-n-out. This was well worth it. It smelled amazing walking in. The fries were hot & fresh! The burger was delicious. St Louis needs this place. Yum!

Southern California native, now living in DFW. It’s a pleasure to see In-N-Out doing so well outside CA. It has become more popular than What-A-Burger which says a lot here in TX. Quality is always top tier, food absolutely delicious and in this economy prices are great still! We need more locations! ALWAYS GO ANIMAL STYLE!!!

Consistently delicious. You will always get the same quality of meal. It can get busy here at peak hours but indoor lines move quickly. Try extra spread on fries in place of ketchup.

If I could give In-N-Out more than five stars, I absolutely would. This place is the definition of a perfect burger joint. From the moment you pull up, you’re greeted with the smell of fresh-grilled patties and fries cooking—no other fast-food spot compares. The menu is refreshingly simple, yet the options from the not-so-secret menu keep things fun and customizable. The burgers are always fresh, juicy, and flavorful. You can taste the difference in the quality of the beef and the crispness of the lettuce, tomato, and onion. The toasted buns add the perfect crunch, and if you haven’t tried your burger “Animal Style,” you’re missing out on one of the best flavor upgrades in the fast-food world. The fries, hand-cut on-site, are golden and crisp, and when ordered “well-done” or “Animal Style,” they’re downright addictive. The milkshakes are another highlight—thick, creamy, and classic. Vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry may sound basic, but they’re done so well that they rival gourmet shakes. The staff deserves praise too. They’re always friendly, efficient, and take genuine pride in what they do. The restaurant itself is consistently clean and welcoming, making the entire experience top-notch. Simply put, In-N-Out sets the gold standard for fast food. Every visit feels like a treat.

Fast and friendly service with a smile. I really enjoyed my meal here. The food came out fast and ready to go. The lobby was clean as well. Parking was decent outing and the drive thru seemed to be able to handle large lines.

My family and I stopped here on the way out of Dallas TX. We where excited to stop in. The place was busy with lots of customers. We ordered and the employees where doing an amazing job staying on top of service. Our food came fast and it was very good. We love stopping here anytime we have the opportunity.

Always excellent customer service, great prices and the best burgers, fries and shakes! Plus free hot chocolate for kids when it’s raining or snowing!

Here is the order to go with 3x3, add whole onions, add mustard, and add peppers Animal style fries add peppers Medium pink lemonade The wife got 2x1 lettuce wrapped with whole grilled onions, and add peppers. This location is so well organized. There is an order taker with an iPad that takes your order in the drive through. After that, you pay for your order and wait on your food. The food was so good.

Great value! The service is always consistent and food comes out as quick as possible. A wonderful way to feel full and satisfied without feeling sluggish and greasy, unlike most fast food places.

How it looked on the outside, I was ready to eat the whole burger unfortunately it was rushed and my Double Double was raw inside. Flew in from Michigan and getting InNOut while in Texas is usually mandatory, but a couple months ago when I came down the food was terrible too. Get it together yall. Might have to go to California now, since we can't cook a burger right in Texas.

This is my favorite In N Out location. I can't even remember the last time they got my order wrong. Food is always cooked to order and absolutely perfect. I have visited California In N Outs and this one within 48 hours and let me assure you that the food is the very same quality at both. There is no difference between Texas and California In N Outs, beside a slightly shorter line in Texas! If you don't like fresh veggie toppings on your burger...then In N Out might not be the place for you, because this is where they really shine. You're actually going to get the burger that's on the picture. Nothing like Whataburger where it looks like someone stomped on your burger before serving it to you with some wilted slimy lettuce. You can customize the toppings you want, and there are even secret menu toppings like: grilled onions, grilled whole onions (the whole slice is grilled), pickles, mustard, mustard fried (this is a must try), or chilis. The chilis are hot, so you might want to start light! You can order any topping as light, normal, extra, or 2X, depending on how much you want on your burger. They have the best Dr. Pepper around...even better than McDonald's. They also now serve Cherry Coke and a light version of their pink lemonade. Shakes are great too, and you can order a large (secret menu) if you want a bigger one. And the price is absolutely unbeatable. No other restaurant or fast food restaurant can top the value you get from In N Out. Fresh, cheap, fast, and delicious. Shout out to the employees who always get my order correct, even when I customize my burger to the moon! Food: 5 Service: 5 - Shout out to Bruce, Demond, and Delight! Price: 5 Ambiance: 2.5 - It's on the smaller side, compared to its California counterparts, so you have to go during an off time to get a booth! There's also something going wrong with the restrooms...they smell positively horrible, even after they've been cleaned. Makes me wonder if there's something going on with their plumbing. I try to avoid them as this seems to be a persistent issue.

In N Out is a comfort food for myself and my daughter since we are originally from California and have grown up enjoying their food! We were so happy to find that they have In N Out here in Texas when we moved here two years ago. We grabbed Dinner from the location in Allen on Stacy Road which we usually go to and have always had a good experience. I got the Double Double with cheese Animal Style combo with no onions along with Animal Style fries with no onions and a large Coca Cola. My daughter got the Cheeseburger combo with no onions, Animal Style fries with no onion and a large Dr. Pepper. She also got a large Chocolate Shake on the side and a salt free patty for our puppy Morgan.

Burgers were fresh and great. Service was good. Wait time was good. Restaurant was clean. Young lady walking around and picking up trash/wiping tables. Cost was very reasonable. Negative: fries were awful. Either not cooked or old. Question them being old with how busy it was. But they had zero flavor, tasted like cardboard. They were very disappointing.

I will NEVER pass up In-N-Out whenever I am in a city that has one. The Double-Double is my go to and it never lets me down. The fries though? STALE!Not sure what happened, but it was BAD.

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #30 This location is in Allen and its located across the street from the Allen outlet. I ordered a double double with no onions and a side of fries. My food was ready in no time and the employees were friendly. Be prepared to wait a bit if you use the drive thru and be sure to ask for your items to be placed in a box with a lid. It allows for easy transport and it wan't tilt on your way home. Deliciously Fresh Burger & Fries

In-N-Out is always a win. There has never been a time where I've been to an In-N-Out that wasn't super busy, yet offered great, fast service and a clean environment to eat in. The burgers and ingredients used are always hot and fresh, and I'm ALWAYS craving animal style fries. Every In-N-Out location I have been to has offered me the same experience, which I find very impressive. We stopped at the Allen, TX location on 4th of July for a quick bite before a fireworks show, and it was PACKED, but we still got our food in a timely manner. The workers were constantly cleaning the restaurant and even stopped a few times to ask customers how their food was and if they needed anything else. I just love In-N-Out SO MUCH! I mean, come on, look at that picture! Look at that food! Absolutely delicious!

Omg...this food was terrible. Potatoes tasted like cardboard. Burger was not that good. Whataburger is 1000 times better than this slop. Needless to say, I won't be return g here.

This isn't the best In-and-Out but it was okay. I ordered the Double Double meal with a Vanilla Shake. The burger was not as flavorful as I've had at other locations and the fries didn't seem the freshest. The vanilla shake was yummy however. The next time, I will plan to drive a bit further to eat at one of the better locations.

Horrible. The menu is trash. The fries aren't cooked right. Fuck this line, takes too long to even get door, much less thru the line. Seriously, fuck the people that eat this crap. I'm not even upset at them for putting dog shit btwn two buns, I'm upset with you for eating it and making a line so long it impacts traffic. Live this in n out! This is my favorite fast food place and i can never turn it down. The burgers are absolutely so amazing and so juicy and they never skimp on toppings. The employees are also always so kind and welcoming and friendly and i have never once met a single rude employee. The place itself is also pretty clean, but could use some work on the patio outside. this is only my second time to be at an In-N-Out Burger and I really have enjoyed not only the food, but the attitude of the employees who work here. It's like Chick-fil-A employees on steroids. They all seem to be happy to be here and very polite.

I've been an In-N-Out enthusiast since my first burger and fries in 1980. The price is great and the food is always dee-licious!

Fresh food. Fries are made from real potatoes. Service is good and fast. We eat here when my daughter visits us.

It is a shame there are no In N Out's east of the Mississippi. This is the best fast food burger chain by far. Service with a smile and everyone hustles! Food is great- "animal style" burger with real hand cut fries. Coca Cola from a normal fountain and not the horrible Freestyle machine. And the shakes! The right size and the best flavor. Easily the best fast food shake out there. Eat this in a 50's style restaurant or outside on a table. I will be here every day of my stay!

I give this store 5 stars because of Bruce. I ordered dine-in for myself and then to-go for the fam. All the while waiting, I observed how Bruce treated the customers. He proactively greeted every incoming customer. He was very polite and friendly. He knew his menu very well, and he was able to describe the signature sauce to folks who were not familiar with it. He was able to offer meaningful alternatives when customers declined certain ingredients. He wiped the front counter stainless steel where people placed their hands and purses and whatnot when he's not serving customers. He should be the defacto standard of the In-N-Out training program. Texas loves Whataburger but I don't know man, In-N-Out is a great staple with value considered. Fries here, much like every other In-N-Out suck, but everything else is lovely. Simple menu of burgers, basically how many patties and cheeses you'd like. This spot is so conveniently close to the Allen Event Center so that makes it all the Ordered my standard 3x3 with an XL Neapolitan shake. Fantastic Neapolitan, they really got it right and all the flavors meshed perfectly. Sometimes you can tell there's a heavy lean towards one flavor when it overwhelms or masks the entire shake, but the one I got was simply perfect. Ultimately In-N-Out has amazing value. I think the taste is overhyped because everyone praises it so highly, but it's definitely still delicious. Just don't get your expectations super high because of others. Value and price is unmatched and is exactly what separates In-N-Out from other burger joints.

Im ready to give this location 5 stars. I think I've been thru the drive-thru about 5 times now and brother! They have not failed to deliver a great burger experience yet. I had my serious doubts when this California institution showed up on my Texas Whataburger turf a few years ago. But, unlike a lot of challengers, they brought it and I'm super happy with what they're laying down. Im a fan Go!!!!

SoCal resident here! If you are expecting the same quality as SoCal, do not come. Fries are not done we'll still soggy and overly oily. I came with 4 friends and tried their fries too and the quality was the same! Slow service, nothing is clean, and the service isn't as kind and professional as it is back home jn the west coast. Also..The patties are terrible! Like whataburger! I did not finish my burger after 2 bites and I bought a double. I'm convinced people do not know how to grill a patty in this state. I strongly recommend just going to Buc-cees and getting a brisket sandwich because their bbq is like nothing you've seen in California. It's amazing.

Food is always top notch and the people working here are great people. My burger was medium rare= just the way I like it. I'll take it any way they serve it as long as it's hot and fresh. Love this location. 5 stars always. It's Monday night just passing midnight. I'm Jersey~Adam in Texas

I would just like to say Randy and Logan were the kindest sweetest boys I've ever met. Their customer service was very excellent and they proceeded to give me my food with very good manners and very good eye contact. They seem to truly care and nourish the customers. And they make the workplace very good making it enjoyable for customers. I highly recommend you visit this location to experience the sweetness, the purity, the richness, and the enjoyment that was filled with my burger and these young distinguished, fine gentleman.

What's to review? It's In N Out. Always amazing and great service. Never have to wait too long and the food is, of course, fresh and tasty!

Visiting In-N-Out while traveling is a must! My go-to is the Double-Double with everything, animal style fries, spicy chili peppers on the side and a fountain drink. Consistency, no matter the location, seems to be a staple at In-N-Outs across the country. You know what you're ordering and it always comes the same way you expect! Yum!

First time trying in-n-out & it was amazing. I was so pleasantly surprised with the quality even during lunch & dinner rushes. The staff was friendly & attentive. With the added options for to go open boxes to eat in your car you cannot go wrong whether it's dine in or drive thru. I really enjoyed my time down south & definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good burger with fries.

Lots of hype but an OK burger. We were returning from a family masked gathering and one of our relatives was saying there was a 14 hour wait at the newest Denver area In 'n Out. Like I said, the burgers were OK. Not fourteen-hour-wait-worthy though. We were told by the Georgia relative that the fries were the best. Our fries were a bit cold and, again, were OK. Service was great with extra order takers (ala Chick-fil-A) in the drive through. Would I stop again? Yes. Definitely better than McDonalds and cheaper than some places. All-in-all, a good smashed burger. (The toppings are plentiful and I loved the car burger box.)

Pretty good took a long time thought I like there burger but at the same time there fries are disgusting they taste like cardboard and normally they take a long time and it's kinda unhealthy

I now understand the in-n-out hype and am forever riding the train. This was my first time trying it and I've heard nothing but good things about their animal style fries. I ate an entire serving to myself- something about the sauce is so addicting! Cheap, flavorful and delicious- what else can you ask for? Highly recommend trying them out if you're ever in the area.

Vegetarian friendly burger place! Really great workers - they're so nice. I get the grilled cheese with grilled onions. It's just a burger without the meat but you don't have to stand there and tell them to "please make sure there's no meat" Shakes are great too

We had a great experience at this location! It was PACKED with a youth group coming through town but we still got a spot and managed to get food within 15 minutes or so. Shakes were delicious and so was the food. Will be back!

We had Eric helping us order through the drive through with a family of 4 including two screaming kids. He was so patient and informative considering both our kids are allergic to gluten and it was our first time. Thank you Eric!!!!

I LOVE In-n-out! This location is particular always has a long wait and the staff are a hit and miss in terms of the friendliness of their interactions. They have gotten my orders wrong before, so check before you drive away. Anyways, in n out is in n out and this is the only McKinney location for about 8 miles, so enjoy:)

I'm from Baldwin Park, California, the home of In N Out. I love In N Out but need to give this Texas location 2 stars to make sure the issue of using stale dry bread is addressed. Where is the quality control? I've never experienced stale bread at an In N Out and this is the second time it's happened at this Stacy/Allen location. In N Out - please address. This is hurting your amazing reputation.

I can't believe the experience I had today. My husband and I both have a food allergy to bread/starches so we've been ordering the Flying Dutchman for a little over a year anytime we go to In-and-Out, whether we are on the west coast, or in Tx. Needless to say today we ordered our usual order which generally is around $15-but this time, the manager refused to ring it up as a "Flying Dutchman" because we asked for onion/ lettuce on the side. Instead, he decided that essentially it's a "burger" to him and should be rung up as a "protein style" burger ($37)because he figured we would make it into a protein style burger anyways. When in actuality, I have a food disorder in which I have to keep my vegetables/greens separate from my protein or else I literally cannot eat (which is why I was delighted to find out about the flying dutchman as an option for someone like me). Therefore, if I wanted a protein style burger which comes wrapped in lettuce and produce,I would have simply just asked for that. If you offer the flying dutchman at the in-n-out rate, and an option to order your produce on the side of almost any meal--That's how It should be rung up. I shouldn't have to disclose my food disorders/ aversions just because someone else feels like im going to turn it into something else. How I decide to eat my food is literally my business. It's ridiculous to go back and forth with a customer on something that In-n-out literally offers and that i've ordered multiple times before at this exact location. We left this location and went to "The Colony" location and ordered our usual order with literally no issues. Smh.

Great food! Waited all my life for this since i recently moved from the east coast, the service was great menu pretty straight forward, wait times and food was amazing. Definitely recommend trying it.

One of the better fast food chains in my opinion and the prices are almost on par (minimally higher) than their counterparts. In-N-Out definitely stands by their quality as stated in their slogan "quality you can taste". The burgers taste like beef and the fries taste like freshly cut potatoes. The milkshakes are the perfect consistency. The menu is small but if you want quality I think that is a fair compromise. My go-to is a double double animal style with a side of fries. If you like the works, make anything and everything animal style, a secret menu trick all the In-N-Out pros know. If you are watching carbs, you can order a burger "protein style" and the buns will be replaced with lettuce. Stuck going here but you're a vegetarian? Ask them to make you a grilled cheese! Overall decent quality burger and fries, but nothing out of the ordinary (unless you beg to differ when it comes to animal style).
