Yelp
Clean, bright, friendly, tasty and cheap - what's not to like? But you should definitely read through the secret menu to understand all the options for your burgers. And burgers, fries, grilled cheese, shakes, and drinks are all you can expect here - no chicken, no salads, but also no high prices.
My husband and I had both visited In-N-Out Burger joints before, but not here in Colorado Springs. We came at just after 10:30 AM, when they open, to avoid the crowds. There was only one car in the drive-through line and only a couple of people in the restaurant. The staff to customer ratio was high until about 20 minutes later.
We had both looked over the secret menu items to decide what we wanted to order. My husband wanted a double double with unsalted meat mustard grilled and all the veggies. I chose a double double with extra grill (extra toasting on the bun) and grilled onions as well as the normal veggies. We also ordered a regular fry and a fry light which was cooked slightly less so the french fries were not very crispy. (Don't judge me - that's how I like them!). We also got two large drinks which we filled with ice tea. The iced tea was apparently fresh brewed and tasted good.
It was a short wait for our food which I picked up and then visited the condiment station to get ketchup for my husband as well as napkins for both of us. (There are no utensils available as far as I could tell.) The burgers are a bit messy to eat so extra napkins are nice to have.
My husband prefers chicken sandwiches, but those are not available here. This was the first hamburger he had eaten in over a year, but said it was good. I enjoyed mine immensely and plan to get the same thing as a protein style burger next time, meaning that it will be lettuce wrapped. (Considering how messy the regular burger is, I expect the protein lettuce-wrapped burger to be even more so, and the lack of forks and knives may make eating it difficult.) The regular and light fries were very good, but the regular fries were soft enough for my taste, so next time we will share an order. (There is only one size of fries, but it is large enough to share if you are not starving.)
My husband only has one complaint: they do not serve a veggie patty on their veggie burger. It is just a bun and veggies. From the secret menu: "Wishburger or Veggie Burger - This sandwich is stuffed only with vegetables--no meat or cheese."
Also, there's no WiFi (maybe to discourage people from staying too long?).
