Milk Mustache Is Opening a Bakeshop Selling Chunky Cookies in Houston’s Tanglewood | Eater Houston

"The California cult-favorite burger chain is opening a new Woodlands/Spring-area location with one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for about 84 guests, and a covered outdoor patio that fits roughly 24 people. The site continues the chain’s regional expansion with a planned opening in early December." - Brittany Britto Garley

First time ever trying In-N-Out with some friends that insisted on going. Everything was so low priced which for some reason really helped with the vintage aesthetic of the place which I liked. It was pretty busy when I went in but the time between ordering my food and actually receiving it was pretty quick. Staff all seem so friendly with everyone seeming like every step counts as you see them working. I got the combo No.1 with my fries being upgraded to animal style fries. The burger itself was alright, veggies were fresh with decent quality meat & a soft bun for $5. The burger had a homemade feel to it rather than your traditional fast food feel to it which was nice. The fry rumors were true, they indeed have a cardboard like appearance that doesn’t seem fixable no matter if you get them fresh out the frier or not but they’re at least edible and apparently healthier than other places. I didn’t know you were supposed to ask for pickles so thats on me, but thankfully you can grab banana peppers at the entrance and that’ll take your food so far. I’m giving this place 5 stars mostly because of its affordability. Definitely a nice place to hang if you want a burger, but don’t want to spend your typical burger spot money.

First time I ever had in and out burger. I've been wanting to try them for a while now and we were in town during buzzfest '25 just checked in with our room. And I went to go get us some burgers. This place was packed, and I almost cut off a lot of ppl in the drive thru. It took me a splint second to realize they're being polite. So, I took myself at the end of the line. For me it was the grilled onions that made the burger. It was delicious. We both ordered the double with grilled onions with a vanilla shake. And we will be back again!!

Google
We visit this location on occasion and have never had a bad experience. Quick service and good burgers! I have a gluten allergy and they always serve my protein style burger separately. Good place for a quick on the go meal! Everyone is always friendly too!

Google
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was my first time at In-N-Out, and I was truly amazed. I loved it! The food was delicious — super fresh and full of flavor. The service was fast and very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Definitely one of the best options to enjoy a good burger. Highly recommended!

Google
Honestly, I have heard so much about this place that I figured I’d try it for once. I had a number two with no onions and tomatoes. My husband had a number one and Because they don’t have a kids menu, my child got a meat and cheese, burger, plain, and dry, which she only ate half of. If you’re wondering if it’s good, I would say it’s OK. I would say Sonic has better burgers and that says a lot. It’s definitely not better than Whataburger, which a lot of people have also said and their french fries Are almost as if the potatoes were still green when they cut them and they don’t leave them in the oil long enough so they kind of taste like cardboard. The nice gesture that they provide when going through the drive-through is you do get offered lap mats to go over your lap when eating so you don’t spill anything on yourself

Google
Love this place never been to this location but just like all the others. Food is always good must get animal style. The prices have gotten a lot higher they are now more expensive than a big Mac combo at McDonald's but in and out is better. Great place we will be back but compete with your competition.

Google
Can’t go wrong with In-N-Out. Always consistent with their food and service. It was pretty busy when we went, but once the order was placed, the food was out pretty quickly.

Google
Finally made it to a TX location here in the Woodlands. The management is doing great as the staff were all working in synchronization like remember from the locations I visited in California and Nevada. Celebrated woth some roadkill fries.

Yelp
Burger and fries overrated, a California gimmick. Texas has much better burger options for fast food. Drive through service met expectations.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late dinner and it was packed at 9pm. But the service was super quick. Where else can you get 2 meals (burger, fries, & drink) and 1 to-go burger and fries for $27? It's really a bargain. We got the double double, and cheeseburger. Fries are one size and fresh. I love their fries. The burgers are juicy and fresh. They have sweet tea, pink lemonade and fountain soda drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend them cleaning the tables quicker as many were dirty, but also, people can clean up after themselves. The drive thru is always busy, but they honestly move around quickly too. There is also sufficient parking.

Yelp
I came here for an early lunch and went through the drive-thru. The last time I'd visited an In-N-Out I lived in California and didn't eat beef, so I thought it was finally time to give their burgers a try. And a shake. Always a shake. I felt their meals were reasonable. The menu is quite simple which makes it easy to order. I remembered that there was a "secret menu" and googled it but to my delight the INO website actually called it the not-so-secret menu. I wasn't interested in animal style, so I kept it simple with a double cheeseburger meal with a chocolate shake. The shake was as good as I remembered - creamy, with a reasonable amount of thickness, no overtly sweet taste -more natural than chemical. I enjoyed taking sips in between eating my burger and fries. The burger wasn't entirely memorable. I can't say that I tasted any specific seasoning, but it also wasn't bland either. The fries were the perfect temperature -fresh and warm and not too salty. Now for the experience after I finished giving my order the server asked: Are you dining in your car today? I said yes because that was my plan, but I didn't know how much In-N-Out planned to elevate my experience because of that question. If you've never eaten there, please know a yes will result in you getting a lap mat and your food will be packaged inside a tray that makes it easily accessible to eat. All of which, I was incredibly grateful. I think given that they have the most reasonably priced shakes across the fast food chains and it stands out, this will be my go-to treat when I run errands in the Woodlands.

Yelp
I'm not sure what the bad ratings are for this location but they deserve 5 stars. I'm guessing the bad ratings are from the entitled pompous people of the woodlands. The gentleman Bill who services the tables is an incredible person and the manager Marissa is fantastic and has great staff on her team at this location. My experience was very short for lunch today but in that period of time I saw several customers being taken care.

Yelp
Came here after a concert at Cynthia woods pavilion. Very conveniently located to walk from there and order uber later so not super expensive lol The food was good just like any other in n out. The food came out fairly fast. And the quality was good. Wasn't super busy even with the concert which was nice. They have a good outdoor seating area and plenty of parking. I recommend this location.

Yelp
Started a new diet and decided to go protein style. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be
google avatar

Yelp
Double-- double ordered the way it comes- is terrific with cheese, onions, lettuce and generous tomato slice- - juicy and delectable!! And fries must be ordered well done to be crunchy on outside and most tasty! Drinks are served I. Paper cups- not styrofoam! Outside dining has well spaced comfortable clean tables. Large seats and large table tops with plenty of room for food and relaxing Tables are cleaned regularly by staff. Very pleasant experience, even when crowded at 10 PM -- not noisy, but fun and happening place! We are definitely coming back and will order a legendary shake with our Double/ Double!

Yelp
Never tastes the same in Texas than what it tastes like in California but glad that it's in Texas at least now. Always get their fries animal style or don't get them at all. They're typically soggy and not crunchy or seasoned. The burgers are always fresh and made right. I always get a double double or protein style (no bread). The service at this place is alright... they used to get really busy and it was super slow but has gotten better.

Gregory T.

Yelp
Have visited this location twice over the last 6 months. Unlike all other In-N-Out location I have visited, this store disappointed. Burgers and fries were not fresh and not hot. There seems to be something very wrong with their process. Won't return to this store.
google avatar

Jason Z.

Yelp
There's parking and this location stays consistent with the presentation and delivery of the meal. Fresh, never frozen beef served with a smile! In this day and age, this is the top fast food chain store (sorry Chick-fil-a, etal). Their fries aren't the greatest but pair well with their burgers on a very compact menu. Their beef is solid and small burger rivals any fast casual burger spot in terms of flavor and presentation and beats everything else on value and from a cost proposition point of view. The interior of the restaurant is generally clean considering their table turnover and service is fast.

Yelp
I don't get up to the Woodlands Mall area much and had completely forgotten that an In-N-Out had been built there. Last night, I was in the area and decided to give this location a try and I'm glad that I did. Like most In-N-Out locations, this one had fantastic food with the highest quality that I've come to expect from the chain. The employees were all really friendly and helpful with fantastic service and the ambience was great. It wasn't too hot last night and there were a lot of people outside eating. I'm not sure if it's because the mall was closed, but there was hardly any line of traffic which is rare for an In-N-Out, especially on a weekend day. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I've finally gotten an answer to the age old debate, In-N-Out, or Whataburger. I've been waiting to try In-N-Out for a long, long time, and it did not disappoint. It's a fast food chain, so every location basically has that 50s diner look, down to the white tables with the red seats and checkered floors. The staff were quite cheerful and seemed to do their jobs quickly and efficiently. I ordered a Double Double, without pickles. (I hate pickles) But let me say, this is one of the, if not the best fast food burger I've had in five-ever! The patties were juicy and well seasoned. The vegetables were crisp and tasty, the sauce on the burger was flavorful. The fries were crispy and tasted hot and fresh. It was a pleasant experience, but to say overall which is better, who can say? Whataburger or In-N-Out? They're very different burgers, both with their strengths. I leave it to you to decide for yourself.
google avatar

Yelp
It's exactly what you think it is. A fairly decent burger and fries in a reasonably clean fast food restaurant. Operates quick and efficiently. A place you can bring the family without breaking the bank.

Alysha S.

Yelp
Drive thru experience- ordered fries and cheese burger. The food tastes like it's freezer burnt: just awful. However, the staff were quite friendly and courteous.

Yelp
First time trying In-N-Out and it was pretty good! I went through the drive through during the lunch time and it took about 10 minutes to get through the line. I ordered the grilled cheese and I was thoroughly surprised how delicious it was. I do wish they offered a veggie burger, because the only protein in the burger is a slice of cheese. I added chopped chilies, which added a slight kick to it. The fries aren't the best fries I've had. You need to eat them quickly or the get super dry. I don't think I would've enjoyed the fries plain, but animal style with the chilies was pretty good. They give you a paper placement if eating in the car which I really appreciated and something I've never seen any fast food place do. I would give this a 3.5/5.
google avatar

Jamie F.

Yelp
I have never seen an In N Out so dirty. This place is gross inside. With as many people as they have working here one would think there'd be a couple out cleaning...
google avatar

Geaux B.

Yelp
This place is delicious! For those that are new to I&O & haven't decided if you like it, well it's all freshly made with loads of flavor at a great price. My only gripe is their chocolate shakes are weak. They look and taste like vanilla with a slight hint of chocolate. They need to get that fixed. Meanwhile I'll get my shakes at JAX.
google avatar

Sabrine K.

Yelp
It's In-N-Out. It's awesome. Any to wrong with a Double-double and animal style fries.
google avatar

Meagen M.

Yelp
Great food! Great customer service! The ambiance is once again pretty cool! This location has a huge parking lot! It's not shared! The drive thru moves so smooth! And did I mention the food is always fresh! In-N-Out Burger has a great value for food! Especially nowadays with everything being so expensive! You can enjoy a meal at great price! This day I ate in my vehicle because who can wait to get home lol! Not me! While watching YouTube and enjoying my meal I was at peace! If a menu is needed I have one posted from previous reviews for this restaurant! See ya soon In-N- out burger!

Yelp
Our first time at this location. Line was a bit long but we snagged a table. We all get burgers and fries. Surprise! Food is consistent from other In-n-Outs. This is probably our 10th different location over the last 10 years. Hits the right spot. Still tastes higher quality than other burger joints. Soda was a bit flat but oh well. Can't win them all.

Ashley P.

Yelp
Great food with even better service. Roshell was great. She took our order, served us our food and even cleaned up our tray when we finished eating. 10's all around for in n out in the woodlands
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
This was my first In-N-Out experience, and it was so good that I returned a few weeks later. I'm gluten intolerant and asked for my burger "protein style" (lettuce bun). When we told the staff (on both occasions) it was a gluten allergy, they went above and beyond to reduce cross-contamination. To my knowledge, nothing breaded is fried, and I never had a reaction. Their prices also can't be beat. We usually go to CFA on Saturdays but spend $28 - our two meals were under $20.
google avatar

Ignacio L.

Yelp
Although I got the same taste and service, the actual food was underpar. It felt like I was shorted lettuce. The picture will show. No I didn't go in to the store to complain. I went thru the drive thru.
google avatar

Yelp
Had to see what the hype was all about!!! Not bad burger was lil small the onion had nice crisp to it ! But French fries was good !!! Fast service !! Chill vibes in the woodlands !!

Yelp
In-N-Out has always been my #1 for fast food burgers and I haven't had it for years because I live in NYC (we don't have INO in the east coast). I flew down for the Big Time Rush concert and got wildly excited (almost as excited about seeing BTR) when I saw that there was an In-N-Out literally 1 minute from the event!! Since it's open late, I made it my ultimate mission that night to come here for my post-concert dinner. To which I did. Luckily I left the concert early and came in right before the rest of the concert goer stampede arrived. The place was pretty empty and clean. The guys working at the counter were friendly enough but I did feel rushed to put in my order. We ordered two double double cheeseburgers and two animal style fries. The cheeseburgers had good presentation and taste for the most part but the patties were overdone and dry. While I wasn't expecting it to be JUICY juicy, I also didn't expect to be chewing on something so cardboard-like. The fries were also underwhelming compared to the ones I've had in the west coast. It got cold pretty quickly and the "cheese" proved to not be cheese but rather something very plasticky after it got cold which was very unpleasant to the palate. The picture is actually accurate and if you look close enough, you'll see all the points that I've mentioned.

Yelp
Quality, Consistency, and Sustainability. My rating is my experience with the business model and one that I enjoy because it's simple.. and doesn't try to be something it isn't. Out of all the times I've been to In-N-Outs across different cities/states, you can always find a similar experience and one that's adored with their loyal customer base.. A simple menu that's been consistent over their history 50-60 years? Burgers, fries, and shakes.. it doesn't get much more plain than that. But the value/service component and consistency while growing among its competitors it's quite impressive. We didn't used to have this in Texas when I was growing up and while I'm not saying one is better in the "Whataburger vs. In-N-Out" debate but I like both in their own way? I tried out this location in the Woodlands after a concert and it was busy as expected, drive thru was too long but the line inside was moving along. Ample parking outside, clean interior inside, service was consistent as usual, You can customize a double double which I like (animal style is the way I do it) the burger is not spectacular but tasty (grilled onions, Lettuce, tomatoes.. what else do you need? I guess one could say bacon..) still like it more than alot of other faster food places despite its fries not being the greatest. Shakes were good as well. Strawberry is my pick there. Food 8/10 Service 9/10 Price/Value 9/10

Chris D.

Yelp
Well it's a humongous burger chain so nothing special right? But I am glad we have In-Out here in the Woods for those days when we want a fast burger, especially at late night hours, and their price point can't be beat...plus the burgers are always reliable. The meat patties are small so do order the double-double meat. I always ask for grilled onions; there is no extra charge & imo grilled onions make the burger extra juicy.
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
A first time visit.. the line was long but we got through with no issues... The service was great, prices are awesome the the food was spot on!! Plenty of veggies and the beef was seasoned perfectly! Oh, if eating in you vehicle, they give you a paper mat and the food is served on a paper tray.. cool but there is not bag for trash .. tell them it's to go and it will be served in a bag.. just my opinion.. worth a visit!
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Food and service were great! And for how slammed the drive thru was (I think this is a new place) it was not long of a wait. A definite Chic-Fil-A drive thru vibe. ;)
google avatar

Sofía P.

Yelp
burgers are amazing, juicy and fresh. But fries suck. They are like hard potato sticks that hurt my teeth.
google avatar

Alexis C.

Yelp
Flying Dutchman was very fresh and good. I'm gonna be craving this at night. The staff was very friendly
google avatar

Phyllis O.

Yelp
I'm not understanding the hype. The best part was the fact it only took a minute to receive my burger. The burger was dry, the bread was not fresh tasting and they do not offer mayo. I felt rushed and a bit let down on menu options. The seating area was clean and they do offer ketchup.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my second trip to an In-N-Out (the other being in SF) and I think I have enough information to deliver an educated review of the brand with two trips in two cities. First - we should have went thru the drive thru, bc going in ended up being a jog lam of humans and a long line. It didn't feel suffocating, but there we definitely a long wait. Ordered a double double with animal fries. The burger is very good - I think the strongest part of InO is their burgers. Properly dressed - it looked like the burger was made in a machine and was aesthetically commercial worthy. Had a good flavor to it and I liked it a lot. Again, However, though the animal fries look and sound good - very underwhelming again. The fries almost tasted like they had sat out for awhile (when you're young and you can't finish your meal so your parents tell you to take it with you) even though they were too busy to have fries sit. The cheese sauce onions topping just becomes a solid sludge quickly and it's almost like eating glue. Not the flavor, the mouth feel. Overall it's okay. If you haven't tried it- try it, like it, but it's not the best of the cool burger chains. My opinion.
google avatar

Courtney E.

Yelp
HOLY LORD OF GOD this place is a beehive. Only 3 choices on the menu from what I gather and here we all are on spot on the planet. Insert asteroid joke here. I do appreciate the amount of staff and the order of the staff and that they dress the part as for uniform and were very quite nice. No issues with food or service everything came out as ordered. I am glad I got to try the fuss but this might be a place where I return to only a few more times at best. I do very much like the leg work of the marketing team that shares all the good stuff that In and Out does as far as recycling and fresh ingredients. Should've got a shake that's on me. Place needs more parking or more help at the 1:00 hour.
google avatar

Martha R.

Yelp
Meal takes a little long to receive but it is worth the pit stop. Food was prepared correctly and served hot.
google avatar

Antonio B.

Yelp
Always a favorite. Not a fan of their fries though. The burger and shakes are a hit. Great for a late night meal.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Extremely CLEAN! Bathroom? Impeccable. Staff? Scrubbed and Groomed. Dining room? Spotless. Lunch hour, next to a mall, days before Christmas. Packed. But I ordered within moments of arriving and picked up within minutes. True to advertising, the double double had qualities I could taste, the most outstanding being the fresh bun, toasted to crunchy perfection! Off menu: Animal Fries, something like poutine. Smothered in nacho cheese and topped with thousand island dressing. Delicious! And the dressing tasted homemade! Who would have thought?

Yelp
Whether you are having In-N-Out in SoCal or South Texas... It simply Does Not Miss! Recently moved to Houston, Texas and finally made time to visit an In-N-Out. I'm originally from SoCal where it was not much of a drive to find an In-N-Out but the closest one to me out here is about 30 minutes away. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, the place was packed, as expected. A nice couple let me know they were leaving so my family could have a table inside. Honestly, did not see any differences between the ones in SoCal and Houston. Clean as always and staff members going around keeping everything nice and neat. They were on #80 when placed our order and we were #98. Waited about 10 minutes to get our food and the burgers and fries tasted great as always. Their motto is "Quality You Can Taste" I would add in "And Count On" because whenever I have gone to In-N-Out they have always delivered in Food, Service and Ambiance!

Jean

Yelp
I am originally from California, but have lived in The Woodlands for 22 years (and LOVED it... will never go back!). Anyway, I finally decided to try this In-N-Out since I haven't been to one in many many years and wanted to see if it was as good as the ones in California. Well....the food sucked BIG TIME!!!! . My chocolate shake had literally no taste, the fries were a major disappointment and my hamburger was terrible!!! Needless to say we won't be back, and Whataburger has nothing to worry about in terms of competition! Such a major disappointment....

Jess F.

Yelp
All of the above, As a business owner myself ; personal owner of Stunning by Jess, the service was impeccable. It was a very delightful experience ; in fact, I even laughed. 10/10 As the owner of Stunning by Jess I'm very pleased with my service! Absolute love love!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Great job on the new location. We had anticipated it being a nightmare to get in and out. We were pleasantly surprised to see how organized it was from parking lot to service. Burgers and fries were good as we expected for In-N-Out. All the staff was great. The only issue was the seating near the order area. People were sitting waiting for their orders and crowding the few empty seats. That left it hard for people trying to sit to eat.

Ray C.

Yelp
McDs is a whole lot better than In-N-Out. Double cheeseburger was just too greasy, the chocolate shake super loaded with sugar. Tried it and won't be returning.
google avatar

Felix S.

Yelp
I dined in, not drive through... I get that it fresh, I get that it is something new, it's really nothing special. It's actually smaller than most fast food chains and didn't come out as quickly as I expected for there being a dozen workers there at the time. For such tasty looking fries, they sure were NOT crispy, kind of floppy actually. I would probably get it two or three times a year not more than that.
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
Small rhino burger with homemade fries and s shake is delicious. I have reviewed this before so I don't know why Yelp asked me to review it again. It's from California.

Tazz H.

Yelp
Very clean restaurant with very friendly and professional employees. Good quality burgers. The drawback was the burgers are bland with little flavor as were the fries, which surprised me since they should be from fresh cut potatoes. Yet, they were tasteless and dry like they had freezer burn and some crumbled into powder. I guess that's what healthy food tastes like.
google avatar

Bunny G.

Yelp
FINALLY! My west coast eateries are making it East so I can end my suffering. I've been missing my ANIMAL STYLE, PROTEIN STYLE burger, big basket of fries and my NEOPOLITAN SHAKE off the "secret menu". And the service was Texas friendly. Lines are long but lucky for me I didn't wait long I hope RUBIO'S is next!
google avatar

Jeremy M.

Yelp
In-N-Out is so much better than Whataburger. Beats Whataburger in the face on a daily basis. I feel like as Texans we feel as though we have to like Whataburger it's OK. It's time to let go. The buns are dense. The patties are bland. It's time to let go of Whataburger. In-N-Out has delicious toasted buns, Delicious flavorful patties. Just hear me out, go to In-N-Out and order a double double animal style extra pickles add chopped chilis. You're welcome.

Yelp
Jonah guy in Line was so zoned out will I was ordering he asked what I said like 5 times I think he was on acid and that's cool so 5 stars
