In Vino Veritas

Haslach is my old hometown so when I come to visit I prefer to stay central, close to family and friends. We stayed here before the rooms were renovated and we already quite liked it but as we found out recently, they re-did the rooms and when we walked into one of the apartments we were blown away. The design of the rooms is just amazing, every single bit of the apartment has been thought-through and we did enjoy our stay in the room very much. The bathroom is amazing and the little kitchen perfect for the basic needs. Everything was clean and tidy. Owners and staff very friendly and approachable. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and they pretty much cover all your needs. The food in the restaurant is just divine. Everyone at our table had a different meal and everyone was very happy with their food. The only thing that was a bit disturbing were noisy pedestrians (the windows are on the street side) and hotel guests that got back very late and my guess is also not that sober anymore and therefore were rather noisy. But you get that everywhere. The hotel is pretty much a 2min walk from the town centre. Big parking (massive advantage) and there are plenty of shops around the corner. We were there in autumn and the weather wasn't that great, but in summer they have a lovely big terrace to sit outside.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent dining experience I had at your restaurant . Unfortunately, the service I received was absolutely pathetic as the staff seemed inattentive and unresponsive and unfriendly to our needs throughout the meal. Moreover, the quality of the food served was not up to the standards I expected. The dishes were undercooked and lacked the flavour or profile that was advertised on the menu. As a customer, I value attention to detail and quality in both service and food, which were lacking extremely during my visit. I believe that improvements in these areas are essential to provide a satisfactory dining experience to all . Staff members weren’t treated well and one felt bad energy through the air uff was not good. I hope that you take this feedback constructively and consider addressing these issues to enhance the overall dining experience for your customers.

We stopped for a fast lunch. The waitress was really kind. We waited a bit, but the ceasar salad was the best I’ve ever eaten. Fresh chicken perfeclty cooked and very fresh vegetables. Suggested!

We went here for diner, we stayed in a hotel nearby. The dishes were excellent, the staff very friendly. A restaurant to recommend when in the neighbourhood. We didn't make a reservation but were lucky enough they had a table for two available. A reservation is the best option to be certain there is a table available.

- No airco, thus hot in the summer time||- No private parking, even though this is mentioned on booking.com (there is parking in the street of the hotel, but you have to stand on the curb because it's a small street with quite some traffic passing through)||- Breakfast was pretty basic, not much choice and was only possible from 8:30 onward which is quite late when you have a full day planned||- Location: far away from main sights in Black Forest||- Not very customer friendly: we did not feel very welcome with our 2 dogs (even though they were allowed), but rather felt like we were a burden for them||- The restaurant was supposed to be open until 2pm, we wanted to order something at 1:30pm but the owner had already closed her kitchen and according to her we had to let her know on beforehand.||- Bad beds||- One of our dogs bit in the stuffing of one of the chairs, the owner told us and said it was ok, but when we checked out she had charged us €60 for the chair (without mentioning it on beforehand, it was only afterwards that she told us so we had already paid) and according to her it had to even be €100 (while the chair wasn't broken or anything). I would recommend the owners not to allow dogs anymore since these things can happen. We didn't mind paying a fee (although not €60 and certainly not €100) but it wasn't fair that she didn't mention this until after we actually already paid. ||||- Quiet area, so no noise at night||- The apartment was very clean, modern and comfortable ||- It was nice that there were electrical blinds (but unfortunately no airco)||- Great shower||- Dinner at the restaurant was ok, but rather expensive and not much choice

Charming, friendly, guesthouse run by a super nice couple. The rooms were super clean and delightfully decorated in a more tradional style. The restaurant was an amazing surprise! Excellent food, beautifully served.

We had an amazing evening meal there this evening. Staff were amazing, too. Thank you.
