I like their lotions and stationary sections. They sell a variety of things from hand lotion and shower gel to halloween decorations and dry flowers. The price is quite expensive in my opinion. I think their lotion can be a good present to a friend. I think after done using my current lotion, I would buy it just to give it a try. Staff seems nice at least to other people. I didn't interact with them.

I love this store so much! There’s so many cute and unique things to discover packed into one little shop. They have bath products, candles, cards, books, toys and all sorts of cute little knick knacks that make perfect gifts. I especially love coming around the holidays when the beautiful supply of ornaments and whimsical decorations are in stock. Don’t miss the window displays whatever you do.

This lil shop is spot on every go! So many fun things to find from jewelry to skincare, houseware to fun kid-fare. I found this lamp (coral in photo) that hit the spot for my Baltimore decor. Always so grateful for Leslie's eye selling fab things in her shop. And Vanessa working at there is super fun too!

The woman who owns the store accused my daughter for shop lifting and told her to open her bag while being embarrassed in front of the hole store. When she opened her bag there was nothing in there from the store, but we were so embarrassed we left the store. Oh she also didn't apologize to us either

This eclectic shop at the end of The Ave in Hampden neighborhood in Baltimore is a lovely spot to find some fun treasures. They have everything from skin care and perfume products to books, especially some fabulous cookbook options, candles, stationary and more. It is always a feast of the eyes to look around and see what they have to offer.

Lovely shop with all sorts of home goods and beautiful things. There was a small selection of jewelry, books, and bath/body products as well. A great place for gifts!

Greatest gift shop EVER! Impossible not to leave with something for yourself. Superbly curated by Leslie and her staff. Phenomenal customer service. Go-to for gifting.

I live across the state and my mother got into an accident, I wanted to give her something to cheer her up. I had been in the shop many times when visiting Baltimore and have always loved its charm. I called In Watermelon Sugar, the woman who answered was so pleasant and so accommodating. Not only did she create a beautiful, tasteful gift package but she walked it down the hill to my mother‘s house! The gifts she chose were thoughtful and perfect for the occasion. This is what community is all about; the kindness shown by this woman, and the time taken out of her day to do that, for me is something I will never forget!

Yelp
I've shopped at In Watermelon Sugar a few times. It's definitely my favorite shop to visit before a treat myself day. I've picked up really great candles, bath salts, face masks, and more - but they also have cookbooks, kitchen goods, lotions, and more! It's not a large store, but it carries great products and brands. I'll definitely be stopping by as soon as I run out products (I've stocked up)!

Yelp
Very cool shop. They had a stellar offering of handmade Christmas ornaments and the prices were reasonable. Also, the shop has an array of lotions, essential oils, and candles. The staff was charming and quick to offer help. Definitely stop by if you're in the area !

Yelp
Great store. Popped in after grabbing ice cream. Found a lovely mug for myself (picked it up to consider as a gift for a friend, and then bought two since I knew I would be tempted to keep for myself). Big selection- the jewelry was unique, and I also got a few other gift items and a calendar for my house. Nice place to browse, friendly but not pushy staff.

Yelp
We stopped in after shopping across the street at Bazaar - definitely opposite ends of the gift boutique spectrum. The name of the shop drew me in - what does it mean? The inventory is nice but, maybe being towards the end of summer, nothing grabbed me. The two ladies at the counter were friendly. The displays were well done. I'll try again another time, when I'm in need of gifts to buy.

Yelp
I have walked by this store on many occasions after dining in Hampden and have always been attracted to the beautiful window display. I always seem to miss the hours of operation but had the distinct pleasure of browsing the store on Memorial Day. The store is quite expansive, occupying two rooms and sells everything from soaps to fragrance to stationary, jewelry, and handbags. This store sings to me! I would highly recommend it to consumers looking for a handmade, thoughtful gift. Perfect for individuals who prefer natural products, artisan gifts, and stationary. I spotted a stunning rainbow bag in the window and thought for sure that I would walk away w it. It was a bit larger than anticipated, but stunning! I walked out w some small rose incense for my home but plan to return for more unique items. A definite must if you are in Hampden or for any gift occasions. Heck, treat yourself!

Yelp
When it's almost Christmas, I like to go to Hampden for many gifts, and Watermelon Sugar is always my first stop. They have the cream of the crop when it comes to lovely little gifts. From luscious perfumes (I adore Tokyo Milk) to all sorts of cookbooks and paperie items, there is truly something for all the people in my life, especially the ladies! The owner is such a sweet heart and always willing to help you find something or answer any of your questions. If you're looking for something sweet, stop at this sugary hot spot!

Yelp
I bought my tree shaped iron bed from this store about 20 years ago. I love this store.

Yelp
Fabulous array of gifts that will make you the best gift giver ever. I love the jewelry, fragrances, picture frames, papergoods and objects. There are also cookbooks, cotton rugs from Dash & Albert, seasonal items and candles. Don't miss when you hit Hampden.

Yelp
In Watermelon Sugar is a great local boutique in Hampden, way down on the east end of The Avenue (36th Street). It is well worth the effort to walk to the end of The Avenue to visit this little shoppe. The window displays are always inventive and welcoming. Inside, you'll find upscale bath and beauty products (they carry Tokyo Milk perfumes, my personal favorite being the Gin & Rosewater), as well as gift paper, cards, some jewelry, and carefully curated home goods. They have a unique selection of books on gardening, the home, art, and design. This is a great place to buy a small housewarming gift such as a unique picture frame or some kitchen towels with fun prints on them. In the winter they also carry a nice assortment of Christmas decor and ornaments.

Yelp
In Watermelon Sugar is one of those places that you just bop on into because it looks cute and you're at the end of The Avenue- so why not? Before long, you're clutching a chunky agate geode bookend or authentic Indian kantha quilt jewelry pouch you didn't know you was tragically missing from your life. If this sounds like something you would do, you will love this shop. I think it is simply one of the best boutiques I've been in, period. And not just in Baltimore. It's the fantastic attention to detail. There's nothing In Watermelon Sugar that anyone NEEDS, and that's the fun of it. This is your place for gifts and goodies to yourself. The first room includes some scents and luxury bath products (Pacifica, Tokyo Milk), along with handmade jewelry. But the second room feels like I've just stepped into my dream beach house. It's very nature-y, raw, shabby chic meets Anthropolgie in here. It just makes me go nuts over things I never knew existed like sea fans and dip-dyed shells, and lamps made of coral. You can also find some of your favorite candle brands here, like Archipelago and Vance Kitira. Find unique fabric-covered ombre journals you won't want to spoil with to-do lists, luxurious wrapping paper that is too pretty to cut, and gemstones so candy-colorful that you will want to bite them. They will wrap all your gifts in eggshell-blue tissue with a caramel-colored sheer ribbon and a little pink card. Perfection- even if you're going to unwrap it yourself as soon as you get home. It is a treasure trove dream world in here, and it is especially magical at Christmas.

Yelp
When the holidays come around I always head to this shop. They have so many great gift ideas and wonderful candles and soaps for myself. The gift wrapping is lovely as well. The owner and staff are always friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I love this store. It took me a while to make the leap down to (what seems like) the very end of The Avenue. But I'm so glad I did. They have beautifully smelling soaps and lotions in the front room and even better home decor in the back room. Its great if you need to buy some one a present (i got my friends these pretty white glass and wire hanging candles for their housewarming gift) and i have a picture frame from there made of blue wood pieces of old boats in the Phillipines. Definitley check it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
In Watermelon Sugar is a really fun little boutique. I recently stopped in after Thanksgiving and they had the most whimsical Holiday Displays. They carry a wide variety of home decor- great baskets, glass lanterns, candles, and ornaments. They had the sweetest nautical ornaments- blown glass whales with glitter, felted dogs and cats, and even a felted walrus! I left with a felted Seal with Pom Poms... I couldn't resist. It's a great place to stop for a gift.

Yelp
After a few more visits I'm updating my review and adding an extra store. In the last year or so, I've started finding more and more than I like here - uniquely scented bath products, a really lovely pine candle, and the occasional gift. It's not always my first stop, but I always enjoy browsing and often find something I like these days.

Yelp
This well designed and styled shop, on the corner of Chestnut and 36th Ave stocks a nice mix of furniture and accessories for the home, and self. A nice place to visit for gift items, friendly staff to boot!

Yelp
Come see what is at the end of the Avenue in Hampden - there IS life on the other side of Chestnut Street, after all. This store is filled with lovely items for the home and bath, with extraordinary window displays that change with amazing frequency to keep with the seasons. We loved to window shop during our weekend walks through the neighborhood and were happy to know that such a great store was in the area.

Yelp
Beautiful store! Love love love the windows, layout and merchandise. Makes me want to buy everything. Suddenly I need a melamine tray with a turtle on it. I rarely indulge in gifts like this for myself, but awesome place to buy gifts for others. And the owner is so so nice. Picked up some cute cards to have on hand for a gift.

Yelp
My favorite Baltimore boutique! Was just in today and found several things I couldn't pass up...a great woven basket, turkish cotton throw blanket, a yummy candle for spring, and a couple other little things. I have my eye on a lamp and will definitely be back for it in the near future.

Yelp
In Watermelon Sugar is amazing. This is my go-to shop for gifts and my husband knows that I will love anything that he buys for me here! Beautiful stationary, Votivo candles, agate bookends, gorgeous shell frames. Wonderful stuff. And Leslie, the owner, is delightful.

Charlie F.

Yelp
On trend seasonal home décor items and gifts, amazing candles, helpful staff.

Yelp
Love, so cute. I went in randomly, and wanted to buy everything in the store. Prices are very reasonable for such unique items. Highly recommended. The store owner was so sweet as well, and gave me lots of helpful tips about the neighborhood.

Mary Ellen M.

Yelp
My husband and I live in the County and decided to pop in the store and was found the most usual handmade necklace and starfish votive holder as gifts to myself! Store made me just smile when I walked in...

Jojo D.

Yelp
I finally stopped in. Great unique gifts. I bought lightweight "owl" backpacks for gifts, also irresistible Christmas ornaments as gifts. BONUS: they wrap while you wait.

Yelp
We discovered this place yesterday. We went in to grab a candle. We could not stop buying stuff. There is a great selection of decorations, as well as stationary. We found that most of it is in the back room. If I had not known there was another room, I would have though the shop was just a tiny place with some skin-care products. Otherwise, though, it was a great experience. Also, the prices are very reasonable.
